ation from Dollar Tree products so be sure to check her out for our first project. We're going to start with one of these glass candle holders, a little round mirror that you can find in the candle section, in the toy section, we have these little squishy toys and I have three different types, so you'll see the other two.

Later, some of this light putty, I bought two of those and then some pictures of hearts from the Valentine's Day section, some of these little stickers with roses and then from Walmart I found this super cute tape with the roses, some of these little pink pearls that are self adhesive part of this iridescent Christmas snow that I bought for Christmas some hydrangeas just some random greenery and flowers and I didn't really know what I was going to use to embellish our dessert table so we'll see what I end up with. using and then of course our Waverly white chalk paint and ballet slipper chalk paint, a glue gun, six mil scissors and wire cutters and then also some Mod Podge that I forgot to put in here so The first thing we're going to do is take our putty and we mix it in there a little bit, it crumbles a lot when you first get it so mix it in a little bit and then I realized after adding the paint that it just didn't have enough room to stir it, so I'm going to go ahead and put it in a plastic container so I have more room to stir it and mix it, so I want the color to be a very light pink, nice and soft, so then I added that if it's still a a little crumbly you can add a little water it just takes a little longer to dry but that's okay because we had a lot of cakes to freeze so once it's the right consistency I'm going to take my craft stick and just put it in ice like if it were a cake.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm not a baker at all, but this was super fun and it's also the most complicated project you'll probably ever do, but I just did it like I would if I had to frost a cake and just get it done. to where it's not flat and I want some bumps and curves and if there are any pieces that show because I didn't paint it first, I thought this would stick a little better, then cover it with more putty, so now I'm going to take my Mod Podge and use a knife or some kind of spatula or something to cover it on the top of the cake and then I'll take my snow and sprinkle it on top and it will really stay. well, and it won't move after it dries, so for

ation I grabbed a couple of these little flowers that call this baby's breath, but I mean, it's not traditional baby's breath, but that's okay, you can still use like that, but it's there. they're these sweet little flowers and I just took three of them and then I added a little piece of lamb's ear and I stuck it under there and I hot glued them all together, but they'll stick to the putty too, so now I'm going to take my e6000 and apply it to the top of my chandelier and then place the mirror on top and just make sure to place it in the middle.

I'm totally out of order here, but now I'm going to grab a decorative cake. a tray with some floral Styrofoam and one of these little cups, a basket to store vegetables. I thought it looked like a basket of strawberries and a couple of these little round plastic plates, the water glasses, these are plastic too and then I didn't know what size I was going to use but some aluminum cupcake stands so I took everything outside again. I didn't know exactly what I was going to use, but I painted them all, it was much easier than doing it by hand and I used this krylon. chalky finish in bonnet pink and then some white in the Krylon fusion, so I ran out of Dollar Tree putty, but I bought this at Walmart and tried to get fancy and use one of those cake decorating kits from Dollar Tree, but the putty was too thick and didn't go through there, so I completely wasted a tub full of it, so anyway it was much creamier and I mean it was like seven

s for this whole bucket, so this is the type that comes out pink. and then when it dries it will turn a grayish color so I ended up adding a little bit of white chalk paint to it so that when it dries it would be completely white so I took some of that floral foam and cut it in half and Then I cut it in half again and then I shaped it to look like an o mascot, so I'm going to cover it with putty and then I'm going to use my Mod Podge again to make the sides with that iridescent snow color, you know?

I just realized that I haven't welcomed you if you're here from Heidi's channel and you're visiting. I'm very sorry, but welcome. I am very happy that you are here and that your presence here is just the icing on the cake. So here are those other two desserts from the toy aisle and I cut the little lids off of both of them because we are going to put our own lids on and these are very popular and it was all I could do to keep my grandkids away from these. because they really wanted to play with them so I just put putty on top of these too and I didn't even bother painting anything because in the end you can't see anything so I just put it on like you would do it again. with the cakes, the frosting and the frosting, and I was also very hungry when I was making this because the color is so pretty and delicious, but anyway, just put it all there and then added some paint on the sides of the cake .
To make it look like it had layers, I actually used some pink paint or something. I don't even know what it was. It was very old and I had it on hand, so I made the lines and then put some on. more iridescent snow to give it a little beauty and then I'm going to adorn the top and sides of this little wedding cake with the pink pearls. I had originally used that same paint to make the little dots on the wedding cake. but because this paint was so old it didn't come out right and I didn't like it so the circles weren't the same size so I took it off and then covered it where it was leaving a pink paint residue and So I did it. covered with the pearls, so for the top of the wedding cake I just took one of those heart toothpicks and pulled the heart off the little skewer and then hot glued it to the top, but that's when I realized I don't like those dots so I'm going to address that later so now I'm taking these stickers and I found a really pretty rose and they pop up so you have to remove the little top part of the flat part of the sticker and then I just cut it out, there was a red heart, so I cut out the red heart and then placed the pink rose on top of the little pet, so this is where I'm cleaning up the spots of the paint to cover it. my mess I'm going to put the beads on top and at the beginning there are these little sticky sticky threads that happen to if you cut them, it works, you know, just doing it one by one, but I found it was much easier I used my knife, I cut the little pieces first next to the pearls and then using the knife place them on the cake, it was much easier so once the crisis was averted I added a little more of the little baby's breath on top. the cake and I just cut out little pieces of it and these come on the twigs with different flowers and the ones with hearts so I just hot glued them on by putting a dot of hot glue and then dipping it into the bottom.
That hot glue only stays hot for a while so you have to work fast but then you just put it on there and then add a little little leaf on the side just to give it a little bit of greenery and greenery so now I'm going to make a stand for desserts and I just put some e6000 along with some hot glue in the center of the back of the cake plate and then I place a vase upside down in the middle and paint most of my items from the back, like this Technically , these would still be food safe because there is no actual paint on the surface where you would place the food, so now I'm going to make another little baking stand and I just used the rose ribbon and I'm going to hot glue it on.
Even the bottom of this cup will be turned upside down and then I will place one of the round plastic plates on top. Once I got to the back, I cut the tape, folded it and it has the cable. edges so it stays in place and then I'm going to hot glue it on now because the mug is a little bit thinner towards the bottom of the mug, which would be the top of our stand. I pulled and pinched the top of the tape so it wouldn't be loose at the top of the tape which is the bottom of the cup, anyway just pinch it so there isn't any gap there and give enough for allow you to do this.
Now I'm going to take a little piece of the pink ribbon and I'm going to line the inside of the strawberry basket and I didn't even hot glue it, I just glued it there and just around the edges with wire. it stayed in place around the corners and then I just placed an empty ribbon spool inside that and then covered it with some pink tissue paper. You won't see this, but just to keep it all cohesive and then I took some hydrangeas and cut them up. She left them pretty short and then I just glued the stems down the center of the spool and through the tissue paper so they would stay in place and then I put two more little pink roses in there and then I cut off the loose stems that I didn't want and that piece was done done, so now to embellish the top of the cake slice, I took some of these hydrangea petals and their flowers, I guess, and then I stuck them on top of the cake slice and I'm sorry, this is a little off the mark. frame, but I just took them and hot glued them to the top and then I didn't have a sheet that was small enough for my lambs.
I'm sure I have it somewhere, but I just made one of my own. I have a bigger one and I just use my scissors to cut a rounded shape on the top to make it look like lamb's ear, so now I'm going to make three small cakes. heart pops and I just took my hot glue and placed a heart after. removing it from the skewer and placing it on the little cupcake foil, that will leave us with two hearts left over for our next project, so for this I bought two of these cute coffee cups and the matching saucers and then Solo cups from one great package these are paper cups so we're going to use hot glue so you don't want the styrofoam cups and then some roving thread that I bought for $17 at Walmart and this is thread that hasn't been spun yet and I I use it quite a bit, so the first thing we're going to do is measure how high we want to start the wick and that's going to be like the whipped cream for our little, I don't know, chocolate drink somehow, so I made a line with a pencil right where wanna.
I need to start so it doesn't show the cup and then I'm going to roll it up, I'm going to start with a little bit of hot glue and then I'm going to roll it overlapping the cup and then all the way to the top and then once you get past the edge of the cup you're going to need to glue it on. heat on top of the wick so the layers stay together and then once you get to the top you just turn it into a point and stick it down, add a little more glue and then we'll add our heart to the top of whipped cream to make it look like a cherry and any time you glue something that's messy like this or batting or something like that you want to keep the hot glue away from the material and just let it fall into place otherwise it will pool on the excess of glue that is on the tip of the gun and it will get clogged and messy so now I'm going to put the heart and I'm going to put it to the side and then I'm going to take a straw and I'm going to cut it in half and I'm going to put both in the glasses and then I'm going to cut I pulled some words from my Silhouette Cameo three and I didn't have any pink vinyl so I decided to use some white and try to paint the vinyl pink to match everything else so this was a science experiment and it really worked , so everything I did.
What I did was I cut out the words and I put "Kiss me and be mine" and then I took a little bit of my pink ballet slipper chalk paint and a little bit of white and then I painted it on the letters after I had removed them and I probably should . I have done this in the reverse order. I should have painted it first and then we did it by removing the other vinyl because it was on the paper, the backing paper, so anyway, but just so you know that you can do this, obviously it's not going to be something. that's going to be around for a long time, but it's super cute and that's what these tests are for, so now in our next project we're going to use this home sweet home sign and originally I was going to change the wording to say how sweet it is. but inwe are in her writing, she puts her a and her T. closer together than her T and her age and, in that case, since there is not much space to the left of the T to make it thicker, you must go to the right and that way way it will make it look like it's closer or born equidistant and I think in the end it turned out really cute and it's a little sentimental now because it's a mom and daughter project and I'm going to do something cute with it at the end of this video, so yeah You're still not convinced that you can make your own

handwriting

beautiful.
I'll give you another option: if you print or a word, in this case this is the font called Christmas Wish and I printed it in Microsoft Word and then, well. I wrote it in Microsoft Word and then I printed it on my printer, so I'm going to put it behind glass and then I'm going to use my black paint pen that I bought at Walmart and just trace it. the letters in my own

handwriting

, so if you're making a sign on wood or something, this won't help because it's not transparent, but if you're making something and you want it on glass or in a vase, a glass vase or something where you can see through it, you can print something and then put it behind it. or in the case of a vase, you can put it inside, tape it down and then write your words on the outside, so I'm just tracing the lines and you know there's nothing, you're just going to follow the lines.
When you write on glass it is a little slippery, so you should try to make sure that your hand allows you to guide your fingers so that you can keep the lines as straight as possible. Mine are not perfectly straight, but you can continue. back and fix them too, so now we're going to use another printed word and this time I'm going to do it where you can do it on black paper or on wood or some kind of surface that's not transparent, so I'm going to take some white chalk, just regular chalk , and I'm going to rub it on the back, in the entire area that has the words and you can see through the photocopier. paper pretty well so you know where to scratch the chalk and then once you cover it completely you're going to place it in the area that you want the word to be written on so if you use a pretty sharp well you can actually be boring. either way you're going to go through each of the letters on the outside and just outline them and then once you have the entire word outlined on your surface pick up the paper but don't slide it just pick it up gently and then the letters will be there on the surface and then you can take a pen or even a white colored pencil or whatever, you're going to use regular paint and a brush and you're going to paint on your surface to have your sign and try not to. what I just did there where I pick up my pen in the middle of a stroke, you can get to what I call resting places where it's an intersection or some place where it won't be seen if you lift your pen because as you can see, it will leave a mark.
You know it's a little bit darker and it doesn't flow completely. You're connected, so after you have all of that on the sheet or the surface that you're painting on, you can go back, but you have to wait. to dry because when you put paint on top of the paint, it will pick up the first layer if it is not completely dry and also once it dries you can erase the chalk lines with your hand and if you are missing any You can go back in as soon as wet, not even wet, but I don't know if Huff put it on or something, but that will remove the rest of the chalk from the surface and then any of the wavy lines or mistakes that you made.
You can come back after it's completely dry and fix it all up and I think this is pretty enough to frame and even though they're not your own letters, they were made by your own hands and that makes it special, now that you write To get an idea of how to do the downstroke method for your cursive writing, we're going to do a little project on one of these canvases from the Dollar Tree and I just took some chalk paint the color of the ballet slipper and mixed it with a bunch of water and I want to give it a kind of watercolor look, so I just took a fan brush and gave it a few strokes and added water and made sure not to go all the way to the ends of the canvas on the right and left or top and bottom, so I really want this to look like a watercolor, so after I did that I grabbed my gel pen, it's called a Dollar Tree chalk pen in gray, but it's more like a gel pen of some kind, so I had a different look than I expected, but I really like how it turned out, so when you do the p, any of your letters that have closed areas like the es or the peas, I like to leave them.
Open them up and make a little curl or loop and then come back out and move on to the next letter in the ars if you take the little round part in the top left corner and make it a little bigger and then move on to the next one. letters, it just makes it a little bit more elegant and then when you end up on the ends of any of your words, do a flourish or, you know, make it a little bit more pronounced and it makes it look a lot more elegant and fun. like in the Y, you know, it just follows a continuous motion instead of just stopping at the line of the Y, so I wanted to do something cute with the little pucker that my daughter drew or wrote, so I put it in this frame and I added a little bow from that Dollar Tree label we made earlier and put it on some scrapbook paper in the background and then edged it with some pink pad ink, so I think it turned out really cute and I loved that will remain made by the two of us so I'm telling you guys you can do this on your own don't forget to stop by Heidi's channel at Happy Thrriving Heidi be sure to tell her I said hi and if you like this video give it a thumbs up and subscribe.
