I've been in this business for 30 years and no one has ever walked in here with one of these. Here is the barrel for the regular rounds. Here and then the shotgun is right there. They were very dangerous and everyone in the confederacy who had them had a real advantage over people who had six shots. Most revolvers were made in the North and simply weren't available to soldiers in the South, but a guy carrying a hand cannon like this would have raised a lot of eyebrows. from a union soldier when he let this thing break, they were made in France, right, that's right, what happened is that Lamat was from New Orleans and the union didn't want them made, they were chasing him everywhere, so He had to go to France to find someone. who could do it there, it is not really known how many of them made it to the United States, but the well-known civil war generals jeb stewart, even jefferson davis had a lama, there is a pivot in the hammer that fires the shotgun, right, that That's right, you talk to the hammer. and to fire the shotgun barrel, move this little dial which will now fire the shotgun nozzle, as you can see right there, and then turn it up and it will fire the standard pistol rounds right there.

I'm looking to sell it. How much did you expect to get from it? In the range of 18 to 20,000. You don't have any paperwork. Any provenance? No, I do not have. I do not have any of that. You know, there are about a hundred copies for every real one. It is a real regret. I think this gun is awesome, especially if everything turns out to be legit. Let me have someone take a look at it. Okay, that's reasonable. I really hope. This thing turns out to be legit because if it is it will be the coolest civil war weapon I've ever had in the store.

Hi Rick, I was asked to come down and look at a firearm. I don't normally do that for them. but I have had a lot of experience working with firearms collections. This is a lamette that is great. The weapon was designed by a Dr. Lamat in New Orleans before the civil war. He tried to sell it to the US Army and the Army didn't. interested, this was not an easy gun to carry fully loaded, it weighed closer to four pounds, interestingly, the only contract the confederate states had with a gun manufacturer was with lumet, they only made about 2,900 of them, it's a nine-shot revolver, it is a 42 caliber.
Why did they make it a 42 caliber? A lot of manufacturers wanted their guns to be unique and it has this extra 20 gauge shock barrel. Wow that's a pretty ridiculous gun and I've actually seen it because one of these was fired and the guy said I didn't like that the shot barrel center may be very hard for the person pulling the trigger, it is even harder for the person on the other side, so what concerns do you have about the part? It is real? Where it says colonel, the patent for the mats I want. to see that this is correct and is the motto it actually comes in three models, the second model starts at serial number 900 and goes up to 2900 and this is 15.95 according to the brands, I think what you have here is a second absolutely correct lumet model.
I would agree though, that doesn't mean it's in great shape. These nipples have been replaced. Obviously they haven't been fired. They would be worn out. A stamp that should be here that should be a star with a movie underneath. It has been polished. I think at some point in the past someone tried to clean it, which is always a bad idea. Good thank you. The lumet is an unusual pistol. It was not manufactured in large quantities. It is very collectible. Well, with all that consideration in mind, how much do you want? If I wanted it, I could pay 13 and five.
I don't think it's going to cost that much. Important brands are missing. I'm thinking seven thousand dollars if you went out right now and tried to find one anywhere in the country. buy, I don't think you can. I'll go nine here. I will give you the best I can do and this is the best I can do. I can make 12,000. I'll tell you what I'll do. 10 grand. and I think I might be paying too much for 10 grand, but I'll pay 10,000. I just can't do that. 12 is really the best I can do. Yeah, I can't do it right.
Good. Ten thousand dollars. It's an open

offer

, okay, I appreciate it. I think he made a mistake by not buying that gun. I don't think I'll find another one of those guides for the next 10 years. Hello, you're back, I went out with open clouds. and a voice said: take the doe, I guess he changed his mind, so you brought it to the gun show and no one

offer

ed you 10 grand anymore, ah, that's what really happened, okay, let's look at it properly, no one he offers you 10, maybe i should pay 95. nana would be better rick i can't do that um okay 10 grand okay okay what do you think of the gunpops?
It's a good piece. You used one of those when you were in the army just a little before my time. Son, I'm leaving with ten thousand dollars. You know, Fields was once asked what he did with all his money. He said I spent half of it on gambling, booze, and wild women, and I wasted the other half, so I'll probably waste it. proud of that it's goodbye part of American

history

actually you're proud of me yeah sometimes
