ating my living room for Christmas, this is our first year in this house so I wasn't sure how my

decor

ations would look but I think they turned out beautiful and I think you will too. There's a lot to do, so I just go. to jump right into this don't forget to like and subscribe it really helps and it's completely free it means a lot okay so before I started decorating my living room I knew I needed to set up this little rolling cart here.

I bought it on Amazon years ago for probably around $100,110 and I'll try to link everything I use below. There are a lot of things I can't link below just because they're hard to find online, especially if it's from TJ Maxx or Marshalls or Home Goods or something, so I'll do my best to link as much as I can below, but I think I'll find it on Amazon, but I think they still have this so I'm just putting everything up. in it I have some new bags you see there, I have new wrapping paper, I also have ribbon bows and then I even put my tape dispenser and some masking tape in there as well as my scissors and my little tags that I put all the gifts, so I'm going to organize them and put them all together and then it won't just sit there by the front door, that's where I'm going to put them together because I already had everything ready. my dining room table, so I'm going to put all that down and then I'm going to bring it back to a little closet that we have now.

I know I rushed this video really fast because it took me hours to film. because I had a lot to do, but I will say that all of my wrapping paper and my ribbons and bows came from probably three places, which is either Hobby Lobby TJ Maxx or Walmart, that's where I think I got

most

of it. There's been a couple of ribbons in there from Target um, but everything else,

most

of it came from there, so in case you're looking, if you have a specific question as to where I got a specific wrapping paper that you saw come out.

Leave it in the comments below and I'll come back to it and forget about it. Well, this little card is very useful when I lived in my old house. It was actually a pretty good-sized house and, honestly, too big and with a lot of wasted space. There was no room to clean, but my presence was everywhere in the house anyway, they were just hidden in the closets and everything, as was my wrapping paper and my scissors, and it was very difficult to find everything I needed to wrap when the time came. I have a few minutes while the kids aren't here let me go ahead and wrap some presents so I knew this little cart would get me organized and it did.

I was able to wrap it in one place and then just roll it wherever I want. I know where I was wrapping, so that's my plan for this year too. I changed the birthday stuff to just Christmas because I have a lot to wrap right now and I'll put it in a closet and then spread it out. the kitchen so I can wrap around my kitchen island and then when I'm done everything goes back in the cart and then it goes back in the closet okay so I don't know if you noticed the shoes that I have. while I was decorating these are actually

our living room now in our old house, the theme of my old house's Christmas decorations was like the country of

winter

wonderland, so if you watched the previous video I posted where I

decorate

d my bedroom, this is pretty much what my entire house looked like. however, this year we are on a farm so I felt like I really needed to add red to my decorations and I had never used red before so this year I bought some picks and some berries and I really wanted to add red to it. and make it look very traditional, which is definitely how I would say I decorate it a lot of times, I really like traditional Christmas colors, so that's what I'm using now, this is the tree, it's very, it's vivid fur of Fraser.

I just bought it from a local Christmas tree farm so we cut it down and it was a 12 foot tree. My husband had to cut it and he becomes Clark Griswold. When Christmas comes, he loves to go out and get a huge tree and you. You're probably wondering why we cut it. We used to buy smaller six to seven foot trees that are actually quite big, but the shape was always very strange, it was very small at the top and then it's like it had a big belly on the top. down so what we do now is we buy the really big tall trees and then cut them down to fit our house and it gives it a much nicer shape now we used to have a larger sized house and since then we have downsized so much as possible. as living room space because we had a lot of wasted space in the old house and we knew we wanted other things in this house that we didn't have in our old house so we downsized our living room and let me tell you this tree is About six feet in diameter, it's huge, it takes up most of the room and at first I didn't like it until I started decorating it, so the only thing I'm decorating now are items I had.

I used the leather tape. there to make it look snowy and then I had all these white trims, which are usually, you know, before this year, that's all I put in, just white trims and the fur, but this year I'm adding some red. selections and I had imagined it looking very rustic, but it's actually very classy too. I can't wait for you to see the end, all the happy smiles and wishes, and I want it all, from the lights to the mistletoe, tell me. now all the ornaments you see here are from Hobby Lobby. I went shopping years ago and I just wanted to redo my tree, but because before that, when my husband and I first got married, we just used Browns burlap and a little gold and that was it, but I knew I wanted to change a few years ago. years so I did and I just went to Hobby Lobby and got everything however this year I'm going with the Reds so I found these picks here from Walmart for like a dollar 28 each and then I'll also use some of the picks from Hobby Lobby I bought there also overseas just adding these very thin curly sticks on the tree and when you see them you just put them there.

You think they won't make you notice much of a difference, but when you put them all together they really add a huge element to the tree and now I'm just using these little stems that I got from Hobby. Lobby like I said years ago and I'm just trying to put them all on the tree, just like these little picks here with the balls on them, the wonders will open your mind, all your wishes are fine now if you think they're not. It looks perfect here at the top of the tree, like I said, it's six feet wide and we also have nine foot ceilings and I'm only five foot three so I'm almost four feet off the ground. up a ladder and I'm just trying not to fall because if I do my little girl will be left alone and that's what's going through my mind so it didn't turn out perfect up there and we couldn't light the star because we're going to have to cut it a little bit, but it looked beautiful from the fireplace, okay, now I'm going to move on to our mantel where we have that DVD player and all those cables and I guess I would like to hang them and plug them into the back of the TV, but I always decorate or have The Mantel decorated to no one really sees it and it doesn't bother me as long as it's hidden so I'm actually using my Boxwood Stretch Look Garland in there just to add some fullness and some height to these new garlands that I got from Amazon and I'll try to link them below .

They have the red berries, they have the eucalyptus and I just wanted to hang it. on the right side because on the left side we have our tree so I felt like I needed to balance the room a little bit and put it on the right side and you can see my little girl is not feeling very well again. I think she's suffering from an ear infection, so she was there with Mom most of the day, but now I'm tying all that up with the green ribbons I bought from Hobby Lobby and that's going to hold up.

Put them together so that if Ridley takes it down, at least it's all together instead of having to put it all back piece by piece in there to keep us warm while we stand and watch a choir perform all the Christmas songs we love. Listen to all the Christmas songs that we love and then why are we going to go in and drink our chocolate because all I want is to spend this time, okay? So I was about to go ahead and hang the stockings when I remembered that yes, I have some red beads that I've had for years and never been able to use, so I'm going to hang them up and add another little red element, a red wood element, to the dance of the mantle, as long as I can. spending this day with you I'm so beautiful kissing a mistletoe baby with you okay so I'm just hanging these up and trying to make them look a little bit even spacing wise but when I go to hang them like the part of the curtains um I didn't want to that they were so uniform and I'm still not crazy about them at the end of the video, so I'll have to work with them a little bit and just get them, maybe the needs of the medium. to be a little shorter and the sides higher.

I'm not sure how I want them yet, but I'll work with it anyway, but right now I'm just hanging the stockings and I'm only hanging three stockings. for each of my kids because I went to Hobby Lobby to find a new one in red that matches ours and they don't have them or at least they didn't have them at my Hobby Lobby so I'm just making the three um for each of my kids and then I found these little letter tags, they're wooden but they're painted white and I'm putting them on each of their stockings so while I was doing that I realized I have some empty spaces that I need to be covered and I really like like, like I said, a full decor, so I'm going to take some of these little extra picks that I had from Hobby Lobby and add them to the greenery.

I give you a Christmas baby and I am so happy with how this turned out. I really wasn't sure how I was going to hang the greenery. I didn't know if I was going to go to the front at the top. I didn't know if it was really going to come out. Your side knows only one side or both. I really wasn't sure, but I'm really excited with how this turned out and I'm glad I didn't have to do it so many different ways to figure it out, so there's one thing. which I forgot what, of course, the flashing lights were, so you'll see I add them here in just a second.

I'm working so much lately that I can barely find time to sleep, yeah pass my time now if you've been watching my other Christmases. decorate with me videos you've seen. I use these twinkle lights. I bought these at Walmart, they are the best sink lights and I love them. There were 644 of them, which honestly, I had never bought battery operated twinkle lights before this year, so I don't know if it's a great deal or not. I thought it was because I feel like they will last me a while. But when I say Beat Sink they sync with the music playing in your house so if you are watching a Christmas movie you will notice that you will hear it and it will sync with the songs playing there and that is one of the reasons why the ones I buy because I love that feature to make our Christmas memories good.

So this part of my house seemed very empty because our chair is usually located in this area, so I'm just using this little table and the vase that I had and then my mom gave me those picks that you saw there. I think they came from Hobby Lobby and then I'm not sure where he got that wreath from and I really wasn't even sure what I was going to do with it until I saw this empty space. I felt like I could put my diffuser on. that I have here in my room and then I found these Christmas scented essential oils from TJ Maxx, so I thought it would be perfect to sit here so that every time someone walks in the front door they can smell those are the good times with Honey,this year it's just going to be you and me, okay if you've seen my decorating with me for Halloween videos you've probably already seen me do this, but I thought it would be a great idea to do this for Christmas too.

I just bought these books from Dollar Tree, they were 1.25 each and then I painted them with a paint from Walmart called antique parchment, so I found this idea on Pinterest to have Christmas books on the list, so I made The Nutcracker, A A Christmas Carol and the Polar Express. Now I originally didn't plan to write about these and I'm actually going to change them. My sister-in-law loves using her Cricut and she's actually going to print them out. in nicer fonts for me so I'm just going to paint over the words okay now I'm going to decorate my shelves and let me tell you this is where I struggle because I want everything to look great together but it's like finding them. special pieces to put in there, so when I buy something, especially home decor, I won't buy anything unless I absolutely love it.

I think it would be an absolute waste of time and money to buy anything I don't like, so that's it. what I have here I love it now I bought the tray from TJ Maxx or Home Goods one or the other and then the little mercury glass candle holder came from Dollar Tree and years ago I had it for years so they were way ahead of the game when they made it in mercury glass. Now the sled you see there came from a garage sale for five dollars and I was excited to receive it. It's one of my favorite Christmas pieces.

I thought about painting it but I'm so glad I didn't, it looks absolutely beautiful and then I just add these picks that I've had for years and came from Hobby Lobby. Now I know the camera gets a little blurry but it will straighten out here. in just a second it'll be okay because everything I want to do now, if you're new to my channel, you probably don't know that my father passed away last January, so I made it specifically for him and since I lost. him, I've seen so many cardinals at my house and my family's house, and even when I drive down the road thinking about him, it's so ironic how one can fly right in front of my car, so I had to get this cardinal. just for this place, which brings me to the question: what are you most excited about this holiday season?

I know this season is going to be very difficult for me and my family since we don't have my dad this year, however, we know it in our hearts. We'll be with him again someday, so this year I think what I'm most excited about is taking the time and noticing my kids' faces when they open a gift they've been asking for or watching them light up when they meet Santa this day. year or just playing with toys with them on Christmas morning and just being intentionally present with them this year, that's what excites me the most, so I don't know where this sign of Joy came from, like I said before, I really don't I know.

I didn't really decorate it with red before. I don't know if it came from my mom, but I love it and now for this last bottom shelf, I've had this Hobby Lobby Advent calendar for years and it matched it the most. Woodland winter theme, but I thought I could make it work by adding some red berries in this vase made by Ray. The foreigner came from Target. I think they were five dollars, which is fine now for my couches. I'm not very happy with the way they are laid out. They are very close, but I know it's Christmas.

I know I usually rearrange it for that anyway, so I'll have to get over it. So I bought this red blanket for my mom. She's had this for years. I'm not even sure where. wine but I thought it would be perfect since I'm wearing red and then I bought these pillowcases from Amazon and they're pink but they actually have red and white stripes and they look very

farmhouse

, first for you and me okay ? I didn't have anything specific for my coffee table. I only had this decorative serving tray. I think I bought it at Hobby Lobby and then I had this Greenery from years ago.

I don't even know where it came from so I'm just putting it there and then I had these bells that I bought this year from TJ Maxx and I really wanted to hang them on the mantel, but I didn't want to put a nail in them and they're pretty heavy, so I thought well, I'll try to put them here so I can use them because I really like them and then I'll add this candle that my mom gave me and right there in the middle. I love it, it's not my favorite, but I don't want to go out and buy a bunch of stuff when I can throw together the things I have and try to make them work well, so I bought this pillow from TJ Maxx.

The set is done and if you know, I collect Ray so I thought it was perfect and I thought it would add the perfect pop of red to this sofa. It's okay, because the living room is finished and it's so festive and beautiful, and I really love it. So let me guide you. I have this here that looks very nice. I would like maybe next year to have a lot of red here. I would like just a regular green garland to go under it, but I really like how I just put that all together because that's all I had with the exception of the essential oils and then of course there's my tree once again.

I'm really in awe of the tree, the tree is my absolute favorite part of Christmas decorations and I love it and then here are the built-ins all decorated of course I have the cardinal and then just that little basket. Now when I thought about it and doing it, it really was a last minute decision, it wasn't really planned. and that too and I'm not sure if I'll leave the little crown there. I think it makes it a little more festive and you know, it relates to joy, but that's a different green color so I'm not sure, maybe it just looks good with all this maybe I left it because it ties in with the garland and then I definitely need to find something to put in the Advent calendar.

I think that all looks good except I don't know why those lights are flashing unless that's what they're supposed to do. I didn't notice that in the store and then another look at Garland and Beads, all on the mantelpiece with the stockings. I love how everything turned out. I'm just praying it doesn't really happen. there and just pull that down, but it's so beautiful and then up here I think this is what's throwing me off, it's a little empty up there, I mean, you have this thing that's pretty much all occupied, um, this is a a little empty, so that's what I'm thinking about, maybe for next year, maybe add another little tree there or something and just change it, but it's beautiful, I love it, I love it, it's a little empty, so which is something I can do.

I think about next year and then I love this especially because I already had all that greenery and stuff from years ago and then the sled or the sleigh I got at a garage sale so that's one of my favorite pieces and it was one of the cheapest things is a win-win there and then at the bottom and I really like how I hung the beads there, that was also a last minute decision that wasn't planned. I just wanted to see what it looked like and it turned out great. I'm going to keep it up for the winter too, now no one sometimes turns it on sometimes it doesn't but it's still very beautiful even when it's off here's this little centerpiece here I really like how it turned out.

I really wanted to use them I was afraid that the Command hooks I got just weren't going to hold them and I really don't think they would so I just wanted to put them here and see if I liked them and I like them. I like it, it's probably not my favorite and I may not make it next year, but at least it added the bells in there and I definitely wanted to use them and get my money's worth, so I just had this candle. In fact, I think I have. that candle for my mom when we used more neutral colors this year for her and she gave it to me and then she also gave me the red blanket now these are pink um because they have red and white stripes, but let me give you a Close up, they're red, it's kinda hard to tell, but maybe I'll figure out my pillow situation next year and then here's the Joy pillow guys, I just want to jump in here and say thank you all so much for watching. thank you all for subscribing and liking all your sweet comments.
