Removing weight from a heavy fringe

Mar 15, 2024
Hello friends, please refer others to your education director for Sambia, very often we find ourselves in a situation where we have taken all this time to create these beautiful bangs and after blow drying them and refining them a little, we notice that there's just a With a lot of

weight

, especially in a wide swath like this, we tend to build up a lot of density here because everything is pushing towards that corner, so I want to show you a really simple way to address this density now, first and foremost, that we really need. thinking about where the density actually lives because a lot of times we get into trouble because we see density and then we get to the top surface and we start texturing the top surface, that's actually not where the problem usually is. it's kind of like inside out, so we're going to use some sort of unique shear for this.

This is called invisible end shear. It's something we developed because we noticed that when our scissors got dull, they pushed the hair out, so don't worry. I'm not going to believe that this isn't actually a blade, so what happens is that the teeth are the only thing that is sharp, so the dull blade allows the sharp teeth to push the hair forward as it cuts, which what it does is instead of straight lines. with each clove it is cut from short to long creating almost a scalloped effect and that is why we call it invisible because you can actually be quite aggressive with this year without seeing any lines in your haircut.

removing weight from a heavy fringe...

You can still do this with your traditional mix. I prefer this because of how gentle and minimal it removes hair. Now let's go underneath. We're going to start in this bottom section and the reason we're going to do this is because this is usually more. where that

weight

is the problem and where it's coming from we're going to come in we're going to stay away from this first strand of hair we're going to come right behind it and see how close I'm getting with that invisible thing and then when I walk away you'll notice that It's very small amounts of hair that come out now.

It's okay to be so aggressive this year because it doesn't create big holes there if you're mixing the cut it's a little more aggressive. We might suggest that you move a little further away so as not to risk getting a short spot that will cause your hair to burst. Now let's take another section and we'll continue on sections and types of leaves because with In each section we're also going to float a little bit further away from the scalp again to protect ourselves and make sure that we don't jump as we get closer to the surface now that I've done a or two sections.

I want to go in and put everything back together for a moment and check where in the application because a lot of times, guys, you might be surprised after you make a few cuts in there and you might have exactly what you want. I'm not quite Still you know this was all cut pretty dull, so I'm going to create another section again, comb it out. I'm going to place that polished blade under that curve of the head and then close it a couple of times. As I go on, the other nice thing about that honed blade is that you close up the hairs that are on the honed blade so you can slide pretty easily through my old blending scissors that I used to have because it was a sharp blade when I was trying to do this it would grab your hair, so again I'm going to put that polished blade on now look, I go down and you see them under that curve that protects me from getting the little jumpers, we really believe that.
When we address these types of density issues, we really need to be very specific about where we address that density because sometimes we just fall into the habit of going back to our favorite texturing technique and we go on and on. And we go, and the next thing we know is that all this is that we have faithfully destroyed the shape that we initially put it in, so you really know that we challenge you to stay very determined and also you can always remove more hair if you need to, you can't go back to put it on, so now I feel much better, it fits the shape of your face much better and still maintains the basic shape that I put in during the initial cut, so again guys, let's start from the inside out when you approach this density and as you go up you float further and further away from that scalp to avoid those little jumpers.
We hope this has been a great technique for you. I know it has helped me a lot in this. one, if you have any questions or comments about it, please leave it in the little box below. Thanks so much for looking. I'm Andrew Carruthers, Director of Education at Sambia.
