Never never. so we're looking at the frame for the first time, it looks so weird, completely naked, this is a job, I don't even know if I'm happy, yeah, this is it, it's definitely a job, guys, this is going to be a lot of work, so we've got the whole frame that's going to lift right now with the forklift and then here are the other

I know, I don't know if I made a mistake. I'm actually tired of working on cars. People say buyers regret trying to sell them to me. I am. So my dad is a little upset. I. I. feeling or something, I mean what's going on in your mind, literally, I could be at the lake joking around or doing something good, you're the one who bought the truck, I know that, but I didn't buy it with the intention of hey, here you go a mark. New

2023

Chevrolet Duramax, let's take all the parts off and put it back together, that sounds like fun, well it's your fault.

What people are saying in the last video when we went to the

auction

is you know how we talked about, like me, possibly buying this. which is still an option, everyone likes to wait until the frames on it, everyone says oh I think it's buyer's remorse going on, what do you think you are? No, I'm over that, it's not even yes, I just don't know, maybe I'm too old, I don't even feel old, but I hate the idea of looking at that frame and knowing that we have to remove every single piece, including the brake lines. of the A-arms of the engine, not only that we have to retighten each one. redo a little Mark on each of them because we are extremely picky yeah I mean you definitely did a job for us dad my truck was definitely a lot easier than this but hey I'm happy they have that frame. our trailer we're going back to the barn we have it so we have everything we need to finish this well let's go back to the barn and start working on this oh that sounds great it's going to be painful and This thing looks huge outside the truck very big one, we'll put it inside, put it on the old truck, how long do you think it will take us?

People say online it could be 50 hours, it could be 60. It could be 72. I think our goal is to see how quickly we can exchange this and transfer everything. If I had time, I would have deleted this. I didn't see that on some of the columns I would have removed all of this and powder coated it, but we are already so exhausted as far as time and what we have on the truck that we are not going to be able to get the frames all in place , holy cow, so we have the frame inside the buy, uh, we're going to start with this truck, we're going to remove the bed, remove the bumper, obviously, get everything we need to get off the road that we're going to go through, uh, remove this grill front bumper just to have everything. ready to pull the entire cabin and then once we can pull the cabin, we will place both frames next to each other.
I want to start this, we haven't started it yet, so I just want to start on Check the oil pressure once I know everything is good and then while we can start changing everything, but in a nutshell, how are you doing? How do you feel? Man, first time in my life I've literally had buyer's remorse, oh well, maybe that's why. you're trying to pawn it off on me, I just don't want to mess with it, really, this is a lot of work, every part of that truck until this spring, every part was made by my dad, uh, I still think that truck is probably a better choice than mine once we're done.
If Sun wants to sell it, I think he would surely consider buying it. I wanted to show them my truck, so I decided to go get it all. painted so everything is white the hood is all painted the roof uh we had them paint the cabin lights which looks really good. Obviously I still have to finish this truck. I also want to teach you. No, they're just going to Time. I want to leave all of this if I see something and I feel like I can fool someone who's watching, that's also what we're going to do, but let's get right to the actual exchange, let's do this, but let's really get started. quick, I'm just going to cross my fingers that the thing starts, I don't even know why we haven't tried it, I think we're so focused on the damage, how many lights are on, oh, there's a lot of oil pressure, nothing.
It happened to this engine I was just worried I was walking there's a lot of lights I was uh I was walking I was walking by this and also some people put in the comments there's a little bit of oil dripping under the engine and I think when that frame bends it barely hits the oil filter, but it wasn't enough if I punctured it and got oil everywhere, this engine would probably be a hundred percent ruined, but you can see there's a little bit of oil down there, but we're all good. uh dead let's just start this man let's change this frame oh my god this is a mess guys you got a lot of connections here still disconnected there's not a lot of stuff I've seen yet but I could really teach you guys.
It's more like trying to figure out what to actually disconnect because what we're trying to do is leave all the wires on the engine and the wiring harness like on the actual chassis so that when we lift the cab, the cab is basically separate. but I mean there are so many cables, I mean this is even half of it, what are you doing? I'm done, dad, uh, dad's taking a break, we have a lot to do and it's just starting, what do we have four and a half hours, yeah? Now we wanted to tackle the hardest part first and obviously all the bed connections will be easy to make, but I think we have everything disconnected, we have all the cables disconnected, we have the trans lines, the radiator lines, We have put everything in, every bolt What comes out we put it in a little bag and when we label it, we don't need a label because we know it's for the radiator and then we're taping everything together just to be sure because when you're doing a project like this and it seems like you just start pulling the hoses, but when you get back together you don't know where everything goes, so we try to make labels on everything we remove just to be. the safe side, yeah, and then the other thing we do is if we have to take it out as a main connection, uh, like these are like the fuse, uh, big fuse plugs, we wrap everything in just bags that way, without No dirt or oils or anything really goes into the actual connection, but honestly at this point I think it's going to be quick.
I think that was the part that took the most time. We're going to pull the deck, lift the entire cabin and I think the rest should be pretty streamlined. Isn't it, I hope so, laughs, guess what? We're halfway there, we're still living on a sentence, you feel like you're in a rock band or something, don't film that, okay, uh, yeah, okay, let's shoot. the lid, okay, go ahead, go up slowly, okay, the steering is off, my side looks great, actually, that's amazing, isn't it? Whoa, whoa, guys, maybe I don't want to sell it now. Look at that, so you're talking about four hours. which is probably a long time.
I'm sure there are certified people here that would do it two hours, but it took us four hours, four and a half to five hours, actually more or less because I forgot we pulled the bed, but basically five hours to pull everything. taxi for two people who are not qualified at all, that's funny, three tips so far, make sure you remove the parking brakes if you have power running boards, remove them and pull the radiator and pull the radiator before you even start. Wow, this is uh, you can see just the frame. I mean, I'm really glad I decided to come back.
You know, change the whole framework. There were some comments. Hey, you know, just put the frame on the frame table and take it out, and the honest thing. The truth is if my family is going to drive this or my dad or whoever gets it one day, once you've been metal once and you double it, it'll never be the same, so this could, yeah, we could have Fixed this pretty easily and a lot cheaper, but The only right way to do it is what we have sitting there, so now, my goodness, look how much junk we have to remove, yeah, but you know?
Now it's fun. I was a little nervous at this part, but shoot. It was actually a lot smoother than I thought, literally, as long as you remember how everything comes back to you exactly right, let's get this out of here, we put a jack under here because everything is destroyed, let's get this out, let's change it into that chassis and we roll. this bad boy abroad we have both frames next to each other obviously the new one over there the old one here I think the plan is to just transfer what are your thoughts dad oh the plan is to transfer yeah this looks like a catastrophe I don't even know what It just seems like a lot there's not much to say oh the remorse is coming back I might need to go get a vodka there really isn't much to do I mean This all seems pretty simple, the most important thing is that we're going to have to turn everything upside down, you know, it marks everything so we know that every little bolt is one hundred percent, you know, torque to spec and everything, and then also at the same time.
When we accomplish all this, we have to be very careful not to break any of these little clips and things like that, like all these little stainless steel fittings and things like that, we have to be very, very careful, so we're just going to uh we're going to put your head down and just make this happen look how many wires there are in the motor MO look at that motor right there oh yeah oh my god every piece has to come apart every piece every bolt taken apart everything so at this point we remove the entire back of the frame of the old truck and place the new one.
We're tightening everything as we tighten each bolt cap on each wire, as you can see we actually like to tighten something that we mark. So everything is a hundred percent, obviously, go back and check again, but things are moving pretty well. Much simpler than I would have thought, but I would say you almost have to do this right away because I feel like there are so many little connections. Like if you wait, you know, days in between, you'd probably start forgetting the cables, you keep going up, this is the worst decision of your life, this is the worst decision of my life, but do you ever want to do this, never, ever , never.
I'd rather drive like a 1928 Studebaker if it was even, so do this so you're a little upset. I hate GMC's like your new truck, no you guys look at all these wires like when you look at this, it's just a drop. a mass of wires oh look I actually forgot that tool was up there I know why Salvage titled this why because no one wants to do this no one this is a nightmare do you think it will be worth it at this point would you have done it? I'd rather buy a truck at the dealership yes, yes, yes, why do you keep saying yes?
Well, you're asking me questions and well, you were so excited when you received it. You just got a quote right when you bought this, shut up, you said in court you said this is going to be a lot less work than my truck. Do you remember yes and I wasn't even drinking? I should have. Is this less work than my truck? Oh strange that you use Loctite for all the factory bolts they need. Lockheaded I went online and found a diagram of everything that is locked and there are different strengths of Loctite, like this one, which is red, it's very high strength, but there's also blue and you just want to make sure since we're pulling. all the screws on this thing, everything that was previously locked, we want to make sure and go back because it's obviously locked for a reason, so we're at a point to finally put this back under the truck.
I wanted to show you this. it's the new A-arm torsion bar, the new torque wrench, so obviously this is still bent, that's what's there, well, let's fully assemble this side, uh, the wheel. I don't think I've ever shown you what happened to the wheel it's completely when this guy or whoever's driving hits it look how cracked that thing is so I mean it takes a lot of force to break something like that so come on to throw out the spare tire and roll it under the truck because my dad Everyone excited about thisRed Solo Cup come fill me up, almost done, now that I've had a bit of a rest and the axles are back together with the new chassis, okay my new Jimmy, so this is what we've been waiting for.
Honestly, this has been a long time, it hasn't really been too long, but it's been a lot of work, so we have the new frame completely behind the cab and it's one hundred percent ready to go. I finally push down and lower this thing one last time so let's put it out there and uh man this is just exciting to get back in the saddle this is really exciting overseas so we ran into a problem we literally went to get ready. the fallen truck connected all the steering and this steering box no longer works at all, it has a lot of play so you can see it is broken, obviously we didn't plan this at all, did you think at this moment?
I don't even know what is clean or greasy, there is nothing clean. I'll tell you, we pulled the rack out, we literally put the truck in and we're all excited, and once we attached the steering linkage, the steering just wasn't there. running and when it turned left it had a curve from the impact when this person hit like a curb or whatever that broke the wheel, it moved the entire rack well, actually this is a steering box sent to the entire string box and it just broke it, I mean the tie rod bent all the ball joints, so I'm going to run and see if I can get one of these, but I mean it's definitely not a decent scenario and I broke something there, so luckily This thing is heavy, luckily it was.
I was able to get a new one, I don't know how, but honestly, we have a new one right now. At this point, I'm going to go online and ask for Cognito, uh, like full. in Cognito built the center link of the stays because at this point we are replacing the entire headset so I just want to go so hard like that this thing is 100 we have the new box hopefully nothing else hurts it's 2 30 I'm over it, you're done, seriously, yeah, we'll get over the taxi a little, no, Monday, you're done, yeah, I'm done, I think Turbo is checking, are you ready, are you ready?
Well, today we come to a good point. I have to change my clothes. I'm like BFG, you guys have to send me a new jacket. We're going to call it a day, but realistically I'd say we might have a few hours left and This is done because all we have to do is just plug everything else in, the hard part is done, let's, I guess, the Monday morning, so the steering box is fully on. Now we just have to go through and basically connect every cable, every line, everything. We go offline, I'm putting a camera right here to show you my view, so it's going to be like first person, which will be cool, but yeah, let's put this bad boy together and then we get a new truck, well, I'm tired of looking at it. today, we've been waiting for it, oh my god, I'm so excited right now, how to take it all away, if we did this again, there would be a lot, yes, there would be. a lot of things that you wouldn't take off, I know, plus it goes a little faster now, no doubt, that's how you learn, although it's amazing, yes, the truck is 100% ready, obviously we're just going to connect these little cables and stuff. right down to the bumper and all that, but man, it's a really exciting day for us.
Everything went as fast as my dad said, the time consuming part was taking this thing apart and putting it together. I feel like it was a no-brainer because there is a place for everything. each wire was a different connection, you could tell where the wires went just by where they connected to the frame and all that, but yeah, we're sitting in a great place and at this point this truck is literally brand new, as you obviously know we have . a salvage title, but this truck would be like you just drove it off the lot right now, such exciting and exciting times.
Come on, can I say 50 off? I know that the rescue title we are 100 ready, it's scary when you do so much work and now We will turn it on because everything looks and is perfect. I'm scared, honestly, I am, but we already have all the liquids filled. I want to go in and see if there are any more lights on before I start, but the trans coolant oil. fluid, we just bled the brakes, lit a fire in the hoe, here we go guys, everything seems good so far, strange, so the brakes sound, that noise is the brakes when I step on them, cheering, hey, I want to show you, look as.
Perfect, the airbag ruptured. I am not crazy. Hey, you know, wait, we're really worried about fluids, Dad, that was a damn celebration. I mean, we actually just put this whole truck together and it powered up. I know and it worked well. A lot of work, I must admit it was really exciting, everything else looks good, no leaks anywhere. Awesome. I'm going to have you turn it back on real quick and then turn it off when I tell you to because I'm going to check the power steering, okay? all the other fluids look good so far so my dad is checking all the uh all the fluids are now.
I'm like here, let's start it, stop it, start it, stop it, make sure everything is full, but I definitely am. So I'm beyond grateful right now to unplug every wire, every hose from this thing and be able to turn it back on. This is definitely very exciting for me, the first time right now, yes, literally five minutes ago, she was purring like a kitten. It's that amazing, yeah look my dad is excited crazy Courtney puppy happy pop zero motor light Courtney 100 done it's not that amazing let me see awesome all I can say We're on the money, I love you, baby, you know how much fun we had completely. out of our comfort zone because it's a new truck with about 52 million parts, just the frame was just changed.
Come on, what do you think? Come on, come on, come on, man, how exciting. Courtney, what do you think was all that work? Just a good time, why are you looking up? Because it's time you need to make a decision sooner. I already have a little buyer's remorse, but now my remorse is starting to fade a little to make a decision, well, come on. I'm not going to drive it, make sure there's nothing wrong, it doesn't matter, I'm done, I'm tired, I'm going home, hey, you better bring Brinley back, well that's it for this episode we're going to release . wheels and tires we're going to drive this right now, which will be the next episode, uh, but I have to make a decision, uh, my dad gave me the opportunity to buy this, if I want it, I don't know what.
I'm still going to do it, it's very exciting to finally be done with this project, it was a long project, now I can finally get home on time, eh, no more Saturdays, yeah, okay guys, have a blessed day, the Next episode will be my dad and We're going to put all the wheels on this and go driving around town, but wow, what a good time it was. I bought something a little from Grill later, guys.
