Now let's try the ramen and noodles again in a previous video. Nate cut off my beautiful little Jace. board in half, so we're going to try to fix it today, but we're not just going to try to put it back together, no, actually we're going to try to make it a little bit longer, maybe make it the size of a real. skateboard this is a penny board it's a lot smaller we'll see if we can modify it wait here's the basic idea we have a lot of ramen noodles and we have a lot of super glue let's see if we can repair various household items items to start with these two things we have some plates , we have three plates, a plate, a bowl, a cup and I can't help but notice that they are not currently broken, the trick here will be to break them a little. little without breaking them too much, so I'm actually very impressed with this impeccable dish, so we've got it right.
I want to break off a piece of this piece here and just so we have a good sized gap and I'll try to glue it back together without ramen, here we go, a good sized piece is missing. I think I'll work on gluing these three pieces back together and then we can start the patching process like my plate. You're going to have to break a piece of what was broken. The bottles the guy had in the video were not marked. I don't know if we just removed the labels or what, but I went to the bottle to look as close as possible. what I had as possible, so I wanted to try a little variation, we will still use the ramen in three things, but in our cup I wanted to try something else.
The super glue has a chemical reaction when it hits the baking soda and it actually solidifies pretty quickly and turns into kind of a hard white plastic, so with our glass I'm going to try to repair it using just baking soda and super glue without any Raman involved. Okay, I'm going to start. To finish it off, I just pour a little bit of super glue in here, it's obviously a liquid so I can't fill it all in, but I'm going to go ahead, I'm going to layer this, do that. I'm going to turn on the blender if one of the videos, a bowl was repaired and they used it just like the shavings, I guess the ramen crumbs, so I made a powder, let's see how perfect we can make this bowl again It is even possible for some people. including one of the first videos I saw, the guy just had a piece of paper, he held it here, he poured some ramen and poured the super glue, so you know, other people put a piece of duct tape there because I'm going to to turn it a few times to make sure it's got all the sides, take out the conical shape and see if it works, so grab a bowl, I'm just going to go ahead and start collecting some ramen powder here, okay, using super glue and baking soda.
I have now accumulated considerably more than I needed. to cover most of this chip, oh, that's definitely reacting well, it's a good exothermic reaction, it's giving off steam or bubbling smoke or vapor of some kind very warm to the touch, which is actually a good sign because it means that is going to catalyze. is reacting and with the Roman sacred cow coming so now I'm going to take our chisel and I'm going to try to remove a little bit of the extra super glue here and I hope it doesn't, you know, I just break my whole cup and everything again, this is something like what was used in the original videos, I think it was a paint scraper, so while my bowl cures and hopefully repairs itself, while Nate finishes our mug here, I'll start taping our board together , we will add a A small space, see if we can fill it with Raman.
This will be the strangest size chart ever. It will no longer be a penny board. It won't be a skateboard. It will just be a kind of hybrid and puncher. You know, maturity charts aren't really sure what life is, but I don't think ramen is going to replace the fact that we removed the grip tape, but my plates got quite a few ramen noodles and then ramen dust built up. . I also put several coats of super glue on it and now I'm going to try using my chisel to remove some of the parts that are too big.
Ramen is much easier to cut with this chisel than with simple super glue and baking soda. Although when I hit the bits of super glue it definitely gets harder, so everything else is curing right now. I've got my board taped up, let's start adding the ramen noodles and superglue we're I'm going to feel this going. Our plate, bowl and cup are in a state of great improvement. I wouldn't say they are perfectly repaired, but they are in a state of great improvement. The plate and bowl again, that's super glue and ramen. The mug is being repaired with super glue and baking soda.
Because it's a known element that combines well with superglue to harden into a translucent plastic and we've sanded them quite a bit, we may be able to do more by carefully adding thin layers of more superglue and ramen, but I think we're on a pretty good point here, they're pretty smooth and now we're going to move on to painting for the cup. We have some paint that almost matches. We are going to have a clear difference, but not me. I didn't take the mug to the store when I bought the paint and I don't think they have this slightly more orange shade of red anyway, it'll be pretty close and then we have two different types of white that we have. just a bright white spray paint and then we have what it says is an appliance epoxy and it should be pretty durable so we're going to try one of this and then I'm not sure what the inside of the cup will be.
I'll see which of these two I like more. Let's see how it works. A note. The inside of our bowl is not as smooth as the outside. This is a proof of concept. We're not trying to make it one hundred percent perfect, if we had better tools or time we could definitely get this smoother to match the outside, how smooth it is, but for now we have too much Raman building up inside and taking it would take a lot of time so we're trying to test if this can work and I think we have a lot of pieces to do it and start painting there and you can actually see where I have some. slightly lower spots that are not perfectly smooth and flush, we have four things that we have repaired with super glue, three with Roman, one with baking soda and we have painted the ceramic pieces a little, they look good.
I talked a little bit about how we didn't spend a lot of time on this, so you can still see there are little gaps in the pieces. I also didn't use any kind of primer, so I'm spraying red on red here and here. where there was actually a piece of spring red color missing on the sort of translucent white with the plate again, there you can see all the little pieces of ceramic underneath, it was this super shiny white and even with a very good coverage of white on top. It's not a perfect color combination, even the fact that we spent, you know, a couple of hours on it, that's not bad, plus, those aren't the only things we fixed, I'm curious, you know, I want to try to put a drink hot on one of these I want to see if it survives, but I'm very, very happy with this one.
We've repaired your skateboard a bit, expanded it about a half inch where this was a penny board. It is a very, very small board. Maybe it's a centimeter wider now repaired with air quotes with Robin, do you think it will hold? It's not right, well, I mean, it's held together with a lot of super glue and all the spaces are full of glue and Raman. I'm curious about the durability of some. of the other things like this bowl for example, so I want to do a test and see if it can break, hit the side and see, I'll alternate between hitting the super glue and the ceramic and see which one breaks. pretty soft first touch, okay, I don't sound that different anymore, you know, I'm going to say that at least with a casual level of abuse it remains as if the biggest thing we really lost was just a piece of the surface.
Somewhere it was already cracked, so we already had this chip here and it broke a little bit, but the overall integrity of the bowl. I think we may have spread some cracks down here, but the super glue noodle hybrid didn't come out. Now it might be a little looser. I'm going to hit it from the inside and try to break it, here it goes, there it is, now it's coming out and going to a certain point that it was working, that it formed a solid piece and stayed there for casual use, even just by hitting it a little with this chisel , it didn't break until I dropped the whole bowl, so I fix a sink, I do it right, hey buddy, yeah, I made lunch, oh well, I survived holding on, yeah. the painting is not so excited, however, it appears to contain noodle juice and is boiling water that water boiled.
I had it there for over three minutes when it was all said and done, I really thought the noodles would expand or something I guess. They are sealed even after sealing, we sanded it and the paint helped a little. I guess that gives some credence to the idea that you can use it as a sink. It will be waterproof. It is airtight. And I put it in the microwave. I was boiling water it's hot I'm confused but entertain yourself well I think it's time to test the board let's test the board man I have high hopes for it I took it out on the street and everything I'm going to do is the same as I've tested boards in the past.
I'm just going to hold the egg until my weight is on it. I'm much more nervous about this than the Flex tape. Wait, wait, wait here. I'm going to do that, hold on guys. It's working, I'm going to keep going, you did almost three sets, this is what I actually didn't think I was going to hold on to, like I was standing on it. I think I was on him for too long. I probably could have gotten it. at least 10 feet, yes, it turns out super glue and ramen, yes, it is not very good because you need flexibility and a board, you need it, to bounce a little, the point of super glue is that it is very rigid, ramen is brittle, it is not a good match for a board, however sinks can be stiff again, skateboards, not so much the fact that it even held my weight, although I'm excited about how awesome I could glue it back together, just turn it into a shelf because It's fantastic, there are also big things to cross out. for sponsoring this video, crossout is free to play on pc, ps4 and xbox one and remember you can unlock three weapons or a truck cab by signing up now and clicking the link in the description below guys that might be right for you this forum, but you know.
