is a big part of why I wanted this. I know it sounds silly, but we take so many road trips that it will be nice for the kids in the back, they won't bother us with their devices that we can control. There are many features that separate the S and X

model

s from the 3ny and one of the most important if you have a family is access to second-row entertainment. So today we are going to install a

rear

screen

on our

model

3. It is super OEM, it is a five minute installation, this is probably the easiest installation you can do on your vehicle, so let's go overseas, it has features of automatic climate control Apple carplay Android for the

rear

as well as things like YouTube and Prime video and a bunch more this is super plug and play um you can see the original right here we had the USB the vents um here you still have the same vanity of the USB plus the USBC um and then a nice big

screen

So today We're just going to remove this and plug it in like all of our previous installations.

The seven-inch HD display was designed specifically for the Model 3 and Y and fits all factory mounting points, so there's no drilling, cutting or special wiring to do, and unlike cheaper ones. Imitations you will find on the web: This screen is the only one with proper American specifications, exclusive to the American company's t-sport line and they even have an update in the works that allows access to Bluetooth headphones for rear passengers, something that even the snx doesn't do it. I'm not volunteering for this part, all you have to do is just get it done, it's actually a lot easier than you think obviously, that can be a little intimidating if you haven't done anything like this before and then they just tune out. pull my mat oh okay you never know what kind of treasures you'll find under the mats so this comes in the kit I'm just going to use it remove this piece we're not going too bad and not too bad and then this it just reconnects, we'll leave this one.

It connects to the car's computer, that's how it gets all the information, so I'm going to undo this one here, come on, let's go up here, self-explanatory. once you get in here, okay, well, I have to hook this here. What I have discovered after doing some of these DIY's is that some of the early model 3's have slightly different wiring parts than the newer ones, so with the t-sport line what they have done is they have two different options depending on which it actually fits in your car and that's one of the reasons I really like the t-sport line for a lot of these mods is because they are US based and if you ever have problems or anything with customer service customer, you can call them and they will explain how to do installations or answer questions about many of those Chinese companies that just don't have the same level of customer service.

Look what we're in, so now we're just going to return this. together, put the wiring in, put it back and hide the wires, okay, I'm just thinking about the vents, making sure the wires are really tucked in there because we like our air conditioning here in the south, okay, that's okay, so now. We just have to put the cables back and put

back together, that's it. I mean how simple it was I can't wait to have this at home. I'm going to surprise my kids later today, just like I had them. Sit here and see if you even notice, so I'll go over some of the functions on the rear display, so here we have our climate controls, you have the air conditioning, you can actually control the fan speed right here.

Um, right now it's in Celsius, but there will be an update where it will go to Fahrenheit. A few minutes later, ironically, we just received a software update so that the temperature changes to Fahrenheit while we're here, so let's go. to go ahead and show you how to do it, we have the auto update file on this flash drive, so it was an empty flash drive, the only thing here now is the auto update file and we're going to use the I left the USB port, so for the people at home doing this, do they have to come here in order to do the update or is this something you send?

Yes, we could send you the file and update it in beautiful Fahrenheit, so I can promise you it is. The only other person that has similar products but no one will have Fahrenheit or the firmware for their t-sport line and set it for US cars like us do you think they are updates to add Bluetooth here so the kids can listen your headphones, but? Going back to the climate control, you can see that they can control their seat heating and then even control the volume right here and play music from here.
