We're not going to tape the back off because we're going to strictly test this, it's never going to be put on a car again, so do it, damn it, we're going to go ahead and heat it up to about 200 degrees 210 degrees when we go ahead and slack off. hot, okay, so here it's all done, the part is still cooling, it has really nice glass. effect, although you can see it up here, it's gotten a little thick, it looks like there may have been a run, you can't totally tell if it's actually the valve cover or not, that's the only place it is. there is a little bit of orange peel, we'll see what it looks like once it's all completely cooled, we usually don't use hot flux so we definitely could have left it a little too thick, that's one of the problems with hot

flocking

is that you can make it too thick now if you remember in the video when I first sprayed there I actually had the kv set too high so there's a good chance that the first coat I put on there along with after lowering the kv is what he did. a little thick right in this area, but other than that it looks absolutely great, we're going to let this cool down and then we'll have a really cool holographic effect that we're going to spray over it.

, we won't put in as much and then we won't get the orange peel, so we have everything done, we have the valve cover that we hot flocked, as you can see there were some problems, although the finish looks good, it has a few drops, so which is not perfect, that's something you have to be very careful with when hot flocking, as well as the cold piece, the oil pan that we made, you can see here it looks absolutely amazing.

It turned out too well to say one is better than the other, it's very hard to say from this example, we may have to do others in the future, although we did have the dust layer issue because we got it a bit. a little too thick on the hot flocked piece, so if there's any negativity here, it's definitely that it's very easy to overdo it when you're hot flocking.
