Feb 27, 2020
Ready for a HUGE SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT? Me, Markiplier, Dawko. The Kings of Five Nights at Freddy's, together in a room, against a new FNAF

game

with thousands of dollars at stake. Live! Do I have your attention? Excellent! Because it will happen right here on the channel, on December 3rd. Mark your calendars! You don't want to miss this. But why do we do this, you might ask. Well, every year Steph and I try to host at least one major charity event for a cause that affects all of us here in the Theorist community, and last year, with your help, we donated over two hundred thousand dollars, all dedicated to investigation. better treatments for depression and other mental illnesses.

And this year we face cancer. Specifically childhood cancer, because I think all of us, at least at some point, have known or lost someone to cancer, and it is without a doubt the scariest diagnosis a family could receive, and it's especially true now for Steph and for me, since we have our own child. That's why we're especially honored to partner with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Which, if you haven't heard of this amazing organization, is a hospital dedicated to treating children around the world who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. I'm going to be 33 years old And I just learned this word And to think that there's a kid who's 10 years old and he wrote this Heparin I don't know Because I don't have to know It just puts it-puts it into perspective about How lucky you are.

More Interesting Facts About,

You don't have to know those things. But what's really remarkable about St. Jude is not only that they help children fight the most terrifying diagnosis you can ever receive, but that no one who is a patient there has done so. pay a single cent for your treatment. This is hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical treatments, all free. And their good work isn't limited to helping individual families, either. They not only help treat cancer in individual patients. They are the leading leaders in researching new ways to stop cancer, kill it, and then spread that knowledge for free to the rest of the world so that everyone can use that information to try to find better, more effective cures faster.

Most other organizations would hide that kind of information. They would save it and keep it to themselves so they could make a lot of money from it. But here's St. Jude, on the right, supporting the idea of working together to find a way to kill cancer once and for all. One child treated at St. Jude literally translates to a thousand more being treated in hospitals around the world. Simply put, St. Jude is just an amazing organization, so for the rest of November we will be helping raise money for all the good work they do with the big event coming up on December 3rd.

All of these people, coming together to help support an organization that is trying to kill cancer. And that livestream will include giveaways and prizes for all of you, donation incentives :D, and get this, probably the most exciting of all: the big reveal of a new, never-before-seen FNaF

game

which is Scott Cawthon. Making specifically for the event! That's not a joke. True story: I actually emailed Scott because I know he's a fan of St.
Jude as a charity. I said, "Hey, would you like to make a donation as part of our live stream or do you have something that we can potentially premiere on the live stream?" As you know, it's just an incentive for people to watch. And he told me he could make me a better one. That he could create a game for us that will apparently have hidden dollar amounts, and that the more we find, the more he will end up donating to St. Jude. So knowing this is the game, I assembled the FNAF dream team of Dawko and Markiplier to help me.
Get that money out of Scott's pockets and into the hands of people working to cure kids and kill cancer. It will be a crazy event. So mark your calendars for December 3 at 10 a.m. California time, and we'll be literally all day here on this channel, on the Game Theorist channel. You can help make cancer not scary. By helping the campaign and donating today or during that big livestream event.
Now, enough with me on the couch. Let's go to the episode. NO ONE SUSPECTS ANYTHING. It will be fun. Hello Internet! Welcome to Game Theory, where today is the time to meet a new villain because the next great FNAF assassin has a face, a voice, a motive and we even know his name. So today will be an important day, my friends. The official game may not be released until 2020, but we're already on our way to understanding where this franchise is headed next, as long as Scott doesn't shred it, burn it, and mix in five more monochromatic characters with The Frontal Lobes Biting It Out. dreaming on their deathbeds.
You see, over the course of October, we saw the release of FNAF VR Help Wanted's Halloween DLC, The Curse of Dreadbear which, at this point, is approaching the longest game title ever. And despite the game's repeated insistence that this little Fall Festival was purely for fun: "Please note that this DLC pack is nothing more than a holiday-themed add-on that has absolutely no hidden intent or purpose." We all know it's a complete lie. You don't just throw in casual references to 1983 in a Five Nights at Freddy's game! And when it comes to Easter eggs, I'm not just talking about one or two things.
Whether it's FNAF 4's hilltop house in the background, trick-or-treating in a mansion filled with animatronics, inching your way through FNAF 4's haunted hallways, or simply taking a Disney ride that suddenly goes off the rails only to come back To visit him. A familiar looking pizzeria, Easter eggs were hidden in every PIXEL of this DLC. Here's a list of a few that were worth mentioning but don't deserve a full

theory

: First, the masks you wear for the trick-or-treat minigame are most likely the real-world versions of the masks we see. the bullies wearing during Five Nights at Freddy's 4 bite.
This reinforces the idea that in the grand timeline of events, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was popular enough as a franchise in 1983 to have its own line of Halloween masks. In other words, there is more evidence to suggest that this location we see in FNAF 4 is not the first pizzeria. It's not the beginning of the timeline. Point number 2: When you win a minigame, you see randomly generated posters around the walls. The thing is that all these signs appeared in a previous game: FNAF 6 Pizzeria Simulator. They appear in alleys where recovered animatronics can be found. Werewolf, clown images that reference Baby and Spook-fest.
What's particularly interesting, though, is that Spook-fest, which could actually refer to the exact fall festival we attended. That particular sign always felt like a random addition to those alley scenes, and as we know, Scott doesn't do matches. It's also worth noting that I saw a replay from the Johnnyblox channel that featured three pictures of clowns on the walls. After throwing a dart at each, the barn suddenly switched to RAVE MODE, the black lights turning on so the party was possessed by Golden Freddy. We can tell as evidenced by the "It's Me" sign hanging over the top of the barn.
Now, I can't confirm if this is real because it's the only game I've seen capable of doing this and also generating three random clown images is a seemingly impossible probability. And also, it seems strange to me because from a historical perspective, Golden Freddy at this point should be hanging out in the afterlife with our dearly departed William Afton... But still, it's something that's definitely worth mentioning, and if Is there any? If any of you have a way to test it, go and double check it. And finally, during the game's ending screen, you see a giant Dreadbear towering over the top of the tombstone-covered hillside.
At the top of the hill, you can see what appears to be some sort of purple fault. By hacking outside the boundaries of the game, just like the KUNOLEO channel did, you can see that it's actually a glitchy tombstone surrounded on all sides by seven normal-looking tombstones. Now, six tombstones would appear to be a reference to the end of Pizzeria Simulator's tombstone, a symbol of the five children killed during the missing children incident, as well as Charlie, the girl who dies and comes to possess the puppet. In short, the six victims of William Afton. But then, what is a seventh tombstone doing there?
Well, in my opinion, that one would seem to belong to Michael Afton; His son and his final, involuntary victim. Which would suggest that the faulty headstone is the grave of William Afton. It's got the purple color, it's got the glitch, which clearly links it to Glitchtrap, but what further cements this is the texture you see running along the grave, which, while hard to make out, clearly has bunny ears. But it's the last and most diffi

cult

Easter egg that I want to focus on today. The one that reveals our new killer and begins to set up the story we'll see over the next few years of games.
You see, William Afton has started a

cult

. Let's call it the 'Glitchtrap Cult'. And our job will be to rescue the people who have fallen under his spell. Now, if you've been watching the last few episodes of FNAF, I've been talking a lot about how FNAF VR Help Wanted is a passing of the torch; A kind of reboot of the series, a beginning of the next generation of stories that this franchise wants to tell. Stories that, yes, still come from the series' murder past, but also go beyond that. Beyond deadlines. Beyond all his baggage, now with new faces and new murders to commit.
And The Curse of Dreadbear DLC confirms that

theory

. :D Yes! Ring the bell, my friends! That's right, I have a correct FNAF theory! The biggest, longest, and, frankly, most difficult minigame in the DLC pack is called Corn Maze, in which Dayglow Foxy chases you as you search for keys in an abandoned maze filled with what is truly the scariest part of the game: very loud . crows *CROWS!* "Oh! Whoa, whoa, what the hell was that!" "Oh God... Lord..." Sure, you can find a key and escape, but if you manage to survive to find all four keys, a fifth key suddenly appears in the sand.
Purple and glitchy, which should already tell you what's coming. This fifth key opens a basement located in the middle of the maze, one that looks like our prize barn, except now it's all trashed, as if it's been slowly wasted over time... But there's a sinister gift waiting for us in the basement. path. table: a white bunny mask with an almost bloody fleshy interior. We put it on and our breathing slows down. We calm down. Our character is suddenly at peace. But there is more. Back at the prize counter, we suddenly have the option to wear the mask again.
Putting on just the mask does nothing but obstruct your vision, because masks stink. But if you put it on while holding Glitchtrap, suddenly someone, a woman, starts talking. A woman having a sinister one-way conversation with someone or something. I don't think it's necessary to explain this to you, right? She's clearly talking to William, Glitchtrap. The fact that this conversation requires you to wear the mask that represents her and hold the rabbit, which represents him, seems like all the proof we would need. But now let's look specifically at what they are saying. According to his words like: "yes, I have it", "I made it myself", "would you like it", he seems to be referring to the bunny mask.
That is his creation. The voice, William, clearly dictated to him that he needed to create some sort of bunny mask to continue his tradition of Lapine-themed murder. The phrase "No one suspects a thing" seems to clearly indicate that she's been hiding in plain sight, like a pizzeria security guard who plans to kidnap children, or as I mentioned in a previous theory, a game tester who suddenly finds out. They have been brainwashed. a malicious piece of malware, which brings us to the other lines about "no communication problems", "be prepared", and "don't let him down". All of this seems to indicate that William senses hesitation or fear in the woman about fulfilling her plan.
This is reinforced by the name of this sound character. On Scott's 'voices.com' page, where he tends to hire actors for his various roles in the game, the list was called "reluctant follower." So this woman is clearly an Afton devotee, but she's hesitant. She I mean going so far as to kidnap children and, you know, turn them into remnant soup or something is a lot to ask... ofanyone, honestly. It is also important to note here; The word "reluctant" does not necessarily mean unwilling. I mean, she certainly can, but in this case it seems like she's trying to please her teacher William Afton, saying things like "I think you'd like it" and convincing herself that "this will be fun." It's not that William has control over her body and forces her to do things.
She's just nervous about taking that final leap. What all this tells us is that William has succeeded in what the girl on the tape warned us about. That FNAF VR is a Trojan horse. He carries the virus that is William Afton. Now, whether it's him as code or AI or just the spirit of him being conveyed, it's not really important. What matters is that he can suddenly enter the mind of the evaluators of him. That's why we hear the story of Jeremy throughout those FNAF VR tapes, a man who went crazy and eventually cut his face.
He was probably starting to fall under Glitchtrap's control, but he did his best to fight back in any way he could. That's also why every ending of that game is bad. The fact that we need the green bunny to hear this dialogue confirms that all those vague scenes at the end of the game are of him escaping. Because without the tapes, Glitchtrap is still unarmed in the game, and this dialogue from a brainwashed devotee is not possible. But what we're also learning here is that while Glitchtrap is capable of invading a person's mind, he can't. fully possess his body.
It is limited to just being a voice inside his head. He has to convince them to carry out his orders and continue to pressure them to fulfill his mission. The girl in the mask is scared. She is undecided. She is reluctant and has to be cajoled into acting according to William's wishes. She's slowly descending into madness and... wait a minute. Why does she sound so familiar? Oh yeah, because it's one of the upcoming projects that Scott has been teasing for most of the past year. It's a pretty accurate title for a game where your villain starts out as a normal game tester but is then forced to listen to the voice in his head telling him to kill.
It's also worth noting that there is currently a similar thread hidden in the source code of Scott's website. Except here, we actually see both sides of the conversation... "Stay the course." "I will do that." "Focus on my voice." "I will do that." "Don't let anyone fool you." "I won't do it." "Have you selected one?" “I have…” That “don’t let anyone lead you astray” line really stands out. Once again, the idea that the followers are not completely under Afton's control is reinforced. That they can be influenced or saved in some way. Like people from a real sect.
It seems that this time we will be able to save these innocents from Afton's clutches before they commit some kind of crime. And where will these crimes occur? Well, a few weeks ago, this was the image on Scott's website. Just more fantastic 80s FNaF trailers for the new game coming out in 2020. But when the full Dreadbear DLC was released, the image was slightly changed to this. Notice those floppy ears? It looks like our new killer might be chasing him at the mall. It looks like 2020 found a new FNAF female assassin. And if she really is working undercover without anyone suspecting anything, she clearly must be a mall cop!
Segway to crime scene near Spencer's Gifts. And it would end there, except we can also find out her name. Illuminate images, delve into source code? This is FNAF 1.0. At this point, the series is 5 years old! He's matured and the fan base has matured. And the way we can, and perhaps even hope, dig for clues has become significantly more advanced. It's like an arms race. Scott finds a new way to hide clues, a community member cracks the code, and suddenly it's in our tool belt. Next time I drop something, BOOM. We immediately took out that tool! That sounded bad...
Maybe we don't take out our tools and instead intelligently and respectfully remove that tool from our tool belt and apply it to the problem at hand. Let me give you an example of this. Illuminating images. The first one or two times Scott did this was completely unique. No developer had ever done anything like this before and as a result it took a bit of time to discover your hidden messages, but after once or twice we know that it's a trick you can use so that no one bothers to look at your hidden messages. image itself It's right on those contrast sliders.
Same thing with looking at the source code, same thing with digging through the game files and going on and on with each one a little more complicated than the last. And now we have unlocked a new clue finding technique. In the source code on Scott's site, the shadow image and its previous form had the same name: "7_1.FNAF 7, TEASER 1", nothing too exciting there. But that's just the name Scott wants us to see. You see, I've learned a lot making an ARG over the last year, and one of the biggest tricks was that images can be opened as text files using a program like Notepad, and That the text often reveals many secrets about the history of a given image.
Like here, if I open a JPEG of one of our Minecraft thumbnails, you can see that it was saved with Adobe Photoshop, even down to the specific version. You can even see that there are some text layers here and what those text layers are called. Labeled "Title", "Hardwood" and "Ouchy Tree". We are very creative with our layer titles. Anyway, if you open the first of these two Scott Games image files on the site, you'll see that although it's called 7_1 in the source code, its original filename was Glamrock_Fred_Poster. Very cool. Eat your heart out Stranger Things and American Horror Story, it's FNAF's turn to revisit the era of big hair and even bigger shoulder pads.
So we know that in 2020, in this new game, we will be introduced to very cool glam rock animatronics. Twisted, totally tubular? No, that was a 90s thing, evil? "Wicked" I think was something from the 80s. Anyway, if you open the new version of the image, the one with the rabbit shadow, we see that the real file name has been changed. It's no longer "Glamrock Fred Poster"; now it says "Vany's Shadow." So it looks like Vanny is our killer's new name? It's strange, no doubt, but I honestly don't think that's it. In fact, I think it's probably a combination of his real name, Vanessa, and his White Rabbit or "bunny" Vanessa mask, Vanny.
Just like Willtrap and Mikebot and all the other weird ship names we have in this franchise. Every time There you have it, my friends. Preview of upcoming events in the FNAF Franchise. It is the story of Vanny, "Vanessa Bunny", a normal person driven crazy by the voice of William Afton mentally speaking to her to go out and kill people. She may be the only one right now, but there could be hundreds out there. A cult of Glitchtrap if you follow the rabbit's footsteps of him and we know this is the case due to the fact that Glitch Trap is still seen dancing in the background of that DLC.
Now it can apparently copy itself, it's worth noting. which is an Easter egg left there, which actually nullifies an oversized Dread-Bear. So you know this is intentional, right? says that Glitchtrap is a copy and that it can copy itself over and over again. The cult of Glitchtrap spreads... Now we just have to wait. Wait for the next sign of that assassin's attack. Maybe it will be in the new book series that will begin publishing in December. Maybe it's in that new game Scott will send us on December 3rd for our big St. Jude charity livestream. Who knows?
But in the meantime, stay alert, my friends, and remember, it's all just a theory, A GAME THEORY Thanks for watching! Ready, freshly made. No more FNAF, it's over! Held until December 3. I'm going to break my microphone if I jump off this couch. I'm going down slowly... Goodbye... I'm done...
