Additionally, the British use Jewish auxiliary units to fight the Arabs during the revolt.   But this is a real change from 1921, when the Jewish Legion was disbanded. Now, in 1936/37, the British are so overloaded that they don't really care. They just need troops on the ground to resolve this situation and put an end to this revolt as quickly as possible.

Thus, at the end of the Arab revolt, 17% of the Arab male population is killed, wounded, imprisoned or exiled. This really weakens the Arab cause in Palestine just at the time when the Jewish population is becoming more and more powerful.
