I love this board, it's going to get a couple of good coats of that and I'm going to do it on this side because again I want the frame that's on top of this board to really give it that extra finishing touch so I don't have to add blocks of jenga if you don't have a board like this, add jenga blocks and it will give you the same final look. What I love about this set is that it's kind of an all-inclusive set, you get it that big. thank you, in the center you have all these fun little pumpkin decorations that we can add to the plate again.
I'm going to use loctite spray adhesive. This is a multi-use spray adhesive that is repositionable. It is a lightweight spray adhesive. By spraying it on the back of your clean window, you'll have the ability to apply it to more surfaces than just glass. These are a great alternative to a stencil for your cricut using stickers because it's so inexpensive you're paying $25 for a sheet and you get everything you need to create and decorate a plaque for whatever holiday you're doing. Now it's time to add some of those fine details, those finishing touches that will really bring this to life. plate, if you left it as it is now, in my opinion, it looks boring, it looks cute, but I feel like it can look better by just adding some brown chocolate chips to the frame of this. give it a more finished look a framed look surprise surprise I'm going to add a little bit of stitching to the outside edges of the thank you because I feel like it got lost on the plate I want it to stand out a little more so I feel like adding the stitching will really add a little more character and I'll give this board some personality.
Oh yeah, I'm happy this board looks finished, but it doesn't. Needs a hanger on the back. I'm just going to add a little bit of thread, this is a thicker thread and in front I'm going to add a couple of those thread knots to give it the illusion that the thread is going through the plate, if you're interested in following me on social media, I can find these links, yes, in the description box below this fall shadow box, it's great, I'm not feeling the colors, so there is an easy solution. I'm going to take it apart.
I originally thought I could take it apart by removing the staples from the but this back wasn't going anywhere and I knew if I tried too hard to remove the back I was going to ruin the integrity of the shadow box so I turned it over and saw that with just putting a screwdriver in I could see Then remove the top, giving me access to the inside of this shadow box so I can cover the leaves. Now this is a versatile DIY. These DIYs can be made in any color. These are the colors of my fallen crop this year, so yes, I have to do it. to suit my decor so you'll get a nice coat of hello hobby aqua on this aqua that I made I added a couple of brown drops of the hello hobby paint just to give it a rustic touch as this is a perfect excuse for the box of shadows. to add more of those harvest and fall pumpkin window clings to the inside of this shadow box yes I am going to add some of these wired LED lights to this shadow box most of these shadow boxes are not very either together or in the corners there is usually a space, well, we are going to use this space to our advantage by sliding the cable into it just as you saw me do in each of the corners.
I'm going to put just a dot of glue and I'm going to press the wire into the corner, just outlining the inside of this box with some lighting, these LED string lights are perfect to add to a DIY because they are battery operated, they don't Plug is needed, so you can easily add these lights to any DIY you want to add a light feature to the fall party? I'm really into this one, aren't I? Kelly, look at the camera viewfinder and see that this isn't even in frame. Oh my God, I'm just afraid. when I do this because I don't know how I don't notice this when it happens but it happens I must be so wrapped up and dying that I'm not even paying attention to the viewfinder but you can see I'm taking a little bit of that desert tan and I'm giving it to the top of this shadow box the autumn part of this shadow box a good couple of coats of this paint and with some hot glue I'm going to put the face of this shadow box on the The autumn face of this box shadow is back in its rightful place.
Oh yes, perfect. Now I'm ready to go ahead and hot glue my battery pack to the back to disguise it, but I can still access it to turn the light on and off and replace the batteries. I love that that corner was split, really excited about that because again it worked to our benefit in front of this, leaving it, the desert tan just wasn't working for me, so you know I'm going to go in and add some of my sewing and Since there isn't much of that rustic orange in this DIY, I thought this was the perfect color to do the needlework with.
I love this piece, but I feel like there is another element we could add to it to class it up. To take it to the next level, take this DIY up a notch and that would be adding these wooden dollar tree words. This is a broader word of welcome. It's not my favorite piece to paint. I don't have spray paint or at least I don't. I have some rustic orange spray paint that I can use to get the job done a little faster, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and paint this and thank God for life and stamp because I'm telling you this when I'm sitting here. in my craft room doing DIY, it's probably one of my hobbies, luckily I can mute the footage, but wow, if I couldn't you'd be hearing all the lives and distinctive film in the background while I'm DIYing, so that's what do.
I'm doing here just watching a movie and painting, painting, painting, I did it, I added it now at the bottom here in just a couple of letters. I'm going to add hot glue, you don't need to add it to each letter. because this welcome sign word is not level, only a couple of letters will touch the top of the shadow box here as well as on the back, this needs a hanger so I'm going to add some of my twine like I normally do because I have it in my stash Why would I pay money for a special hanger?
Wouldn't we? It's called using what's in our stash. Be resourceful. Such a fun piece. It's nice here without the lights. And what a fun piece to display at night. the lights on the last DIY today I will use these DIY wooden frames these acorn wooden frames how cute are these the back there is this wooden disc that comes out directly we will keep it and I will use the plastic that the corn egg came to paint because why not save my table by using some of the chocolate chips? I'm going to paint the bottom half of my acorn this brown, my new favorite brown, this is my new favorite brown, apple barrel chocolate chip this is a multi surface satin paint for the top of the acorn.
I'm going to use this unknown brown or tan, yeah, ask me why I didn't show the camera. I'm not really sure, but I didn't do it. I honestly don't know what color this is, but it's on the lighter side. It's the color I felt would pair best with that beautiful chocolate chip brown color. That's my new favorite color. I told you? Well, they are these round ones. wooden discs that came in the frame. Well, I'm also going to give them a coat of paint and I know the paint doesn't look much different than the wood itself, but I wanted to cover the finish of the wood.
I wanted a painted finish because what am I going to add to these discs? I bet you can guess I'm going to add these window clings. I'm how cute these are. The colors are perfect for my decoration this year. I loved them, so on the back of Yes, I'm going to add a little bit of that spray adhesive and add it to the record. Now himwhole animal is not going to fit but that's okay I'm just going to cut off the excess part and just have the animal itself because on the acorns I'm adding some harvest animals to these frames oh my gosh look how cute they are I was just racking my brain trying to figure out how I could incorporate this set of window clings into a DIY and when I saw these acorns I knew they were perfect for them look how cute they are here I'm showing you an example of an acorn with and without the seams I'm going to say I love sewing.
It adds a lot to the DIY. If you don't like sewing, I say don't add it if you want to add seams and you're someone who asked me in the comments section, Kelly, how do you do it? I find it difficult to add seams to add them well, it's easier to do it with watered down paint and a very fine brush if you try to use a thicker paint it will get thicker, it will get clumpier, it won't. Continue as smoothly as possible with a thinned paint in water, so that's really the trick to adding seams to a DIY and getting even seams.
My seams are not always uniform and you know what I say, I say the more imperfect it is. the more perfect it is because it adds character and personality to your DIY, it gives it that homemade handmade touch and that's why we do crafts well. I made a total of three of these acorns and I won't show you the other two yet. I'm going to have to wait to see this DIY fully finished because I wanted to make a sign for the bottom slot of my staircase. It's one of my favorite pieces to add to a staircase.
I just think a sign is a really fun piece to incorporate and you. I can really get creative with this since Dollar Tree had these acorns. I thought these are going to be adorable, they even have pumpkin frames that would work just as well, so on the back to make it a banner to sum up I'm adding some of that thicker twine as a hanger to connect them all look how cute they are Oh my god, I can't, isn't that adorable? Now let's take a look at this with the three DIYs on the staircase, oh my goodness how fun this staircase is.
I love the colors. I love the feeling. This ladder is by far one of my favorite pieces to add to my porch. Who is the Kb Creations crafter of the day? She will hand it over to Marsha Lloyd Smith who brings us her recreation of my diy jenga block pumpkins marcia I love what you did with these pumpkins thank you so much for sharing your recreation with us today.
