, put them in a survey and posted them on the channel and today we are going to discuss the results here is our list of the most

beautiful

fish in the freshwater aquarium when I say our list I mean your list yes you don't agree with this list I don't know

to tell you Because it's not my fault and believe me when I tell you there are some fish on this list that I definitely don't agree with.

Oh, talk about the devil, okay, I have to be honest with you. I love corydoras and think they are one. One of those fish that should be in almost every community tank, they are cute, energetic and fun to watch, but I can't think of the most beautiful fish. I would probably put 20 fish in front of them, but it's not my list, it's yours and 12% of the 4,000 people who voted disagree with me. In no way am I saying they are ugly, they definitely are not, but when I think of beautiful fish, I think of bright colors, reds, yellows and blues, most Cory are brown or black and maybe a Little Silver, there is no nothing flashy about them, again, I don't hate them, I'm just giving you my opinion, sure the sturb and pandas are really cute fish, but again, they are the most beautiful, no, but maybe you don't agree with me and want get some of these fish.

If you are going to want to keep them in at least a 20 gallon aquarium, be sure to put some quality sinking food in them because they will stay at the bottom of the tank and be sure to keep them with non-aggressive fish. Because Cory cats don't hurt anyone. I know it sounds like I hate these fish. I can assure you that it is not. In fact, we have a ton of Cory cats right now. We have some in that tank and Lisa. has a lot of them on those 125, we love these fish. I'm just saying that I can think of probably 20 fish that I would say are more beautiful than Cory cats, but again, it's not my list.

I have to be honest. I'm not really sure how I feel about this angelfish that only got 133%. I mean, I didn't expect it to be number one, but I certainly didn't expect it to be number six, but hey, like John said, this is our list. It's yours and you all decided that there are five other fish that are prettier than angels. Now don't get me wrong, the top five fish on the list are incredible. I'm surprised this one isn't taller anyway, let's stick with the angelfish. They are one of the most popular and common fish in the

hobby

and when you look at them you can see why there is no other fish in a

hobby

that comes close to them, they have one of the most distinctive and recognizable shapes in the hobby.

This is one of those fish that many companies use just a silhouette of as their logo and everyone knows exactly what it is. They are available in many different color varieties and stand out as a centerpiece in almost any tank, but there is one misconception we need to clear up most of the time, when you find angels at the fish market, they will be babies the size of a nickel. or a quarter, which makes fish keepers think they will be fine in smaller tanks like 20 gallons or even 29 gallons, please don't do this. Angels get a lot bigger than you think and to reach their full potential you will want them in at least 55 gallons, just trust me on this, angels will generally be peaceful and in most communities. tanks and usually the only time you have problems with them is when they are breeding so give them a try, they are easy to keep and fun to see in a tank.

I think they should be higher on the list, but you know, at the end of the day they're still on the list, so that's really all that matters. Okay top five, it's time to get serious and we're going to start off the top five with an absolutely explosive fish that everyone is talking about. in every conversation about the most beautiful fish in existence and the most peaceful cichlids in existence. I am referring to none other than the electric blue aara. This is a fish that when you first see it I don't care who you are. Or where are you from are you going to say oh, what is that?

Just look at them, not only are they stunning neon blue, but they also do something that many other blue fish don't and that is, the African cichlid world has a ton of gorgeous blue fish, but those fish are crazy, they are super energetic. all the time, so sometimes it can be difficult to see them well. Electric blue aaras, just sit there like, hey, look at me, aren't I beautiful? It's almost as if they know they are beautiful and want you to look at them. I've never seen one that didn't behave this way. The funny thing is if I walked up to a tank at a pet store that was full of them and they all went crazy like African cichlids.

I'd say: what the hell are those drooling over these fish anyway? Yes, they are beautiful and they know it, but that is not the best thing about them, they are also never a problem in an aquarium, they are known as one of the most peaceful cichlids in the Hobby and do not have the nasty attitude that most others have. They mix very well with community fish and stay relatively small as far as cichlids go, so they are usually only. They will be maybe a little over 6 inches, so they don't need a huge tank. Still, I would like to see them in at least 40 gallons with some larger peaceful community fish and yes I said larger because at the end of the day.

They are still cichlids and will swallow any small fish that fits in their mouths. Oh, and the electric blue plants. Spiders love plants, it gives them nice little places to hide and I happen to know the best place to order plants for your electricity. blue aaras my website we keep fishing docomo blue aaras this is perfect John just finished talking about one of the most peaceful and absolutely beautiful cichlids and I can make one too but this one might be more perfect for you. I admit that blue electric cars are awesome, but what if you are someone who doesn't have room for a 40 or 55 gallon tank and want a nice blue cichlid that looks a little like the aara but stays much smaller?

German blue sheep could be what you are looking for. you're looking for these are some of the cutest fish you'll ever see in your life but there's one thing about them that's a little funny they're not very blue and that's not a bad thing because they are absolutely stunning you just think. which with a name like german blue they would be a blue fish, but they are mostly orangey red and black with a hint of blue, I don't know, I just thought it was kind of funny. German Blue Rams are very similar in temperament to the Blue Oar and are not known to be aggressive at all, they just keep to themselves and look beautiful and as they are small then you could put them in a smaller tank you could have quite a few of them in a 20 g aquarium. but I wouldn't go any smaller than that, okay, time to get serious, enough of the nonsense, we need to talk about the top three and if I'm honest with you, these three fish could have easily been number one.

It doesn't surprise me at all that these are the top three fish on the list, but number three may be a little controversial because you could say, John, that you can't put koi in an aquarium and you'd be right unless it's like a mil gon aquarium, but who has a tank that big anyway? This list is the most beautiful freshwater fish, not the most beautiful fish that fits in an aquarium in your living room. Well, full transparency for a while. I thought this fish would finish in first place. on the list and for a while it looked like it was going to end up that way but the other two had a little bit of momentum and passed them and like I said I'm okay with that because these are all amazing fish but the koi come.

Tell me there is a more beautiful fish, people get it tattooed on their bodies and if I'm honest, I've considered doing it myself. People abroad practically adore them and you won't find a fish that is more valuable. I've seen videos on YouTube of farms talking about some of their koi selling for more than Lisa and I paid for our house. It's crazy if you talk to a guy and he's like, yeah, let me tell you what. I bought two of the most beautiful German blue rams you have ever seen. I bought them from the best breeder there is, the most famous breeder in the world, and I paid $500 a piece for those German blue rams.

You'd be like someone serious. You need to talk to that guy, he's lost his damn mind, but if that same guy comes up to you and says man, let me tell you what, I was at an auction the other day and I saw a dag on koifish for a hundred thousand dollars. I'd be like well yeah I hear they're pretty expensive now in my personal opinion and don't be too offended by this, there's no such thing as a fish worth that much but there are people out there with more money than pennies. and they are willing to do it, that is how popular and valuable koi are.

An ugly fish is not going to have that kind of demand. Yes, I have become quite obsessed with koi since I bought my pond. I absolutely love them and I can do it. Don't wait to get more because there's something about them, I don't know, I don't know, they're just amazing, not only are they beautiful, they just draw you in, it's just a different thing I guess. My hippie friends would say there's a Zen to them. I know what you're thinking. How convenient that Lisa has betas as number two on the list. I'm really excited about it too, but hey, listen, you made this list and the betas are over. to number two if you look at our previous videos, John and I go back and forth in the same pattern on all of them so yeah this was just a happy coincidence anyway who cares about all that?

Let's talk about what is certainly a fish you could easily have. It's been number one and I bet there are plenty of people who think it should be. Bettas are almost their own category of fish. Keepers, you have the Keepers, your plet aquarium. Keepers, your fresh water, your salt water and then you have the beta and boy Keepers. Some of you are crazy and I, of all people, totally understand it. There is something about these colorful little fish that just capture my heart. They have adorable personalities. They can go in smaller Nano tanks so you can have them on your desk very close to you while you're working or whatever and there's something about them that will just grab you and there's no doubt that they are available in some of the color patterns and most impressive fins you've ever seen, from simple, streamlined platforms to extravagant crescents and crown tails, these fish will take your breath away and don't get me started on those aliens, you may or may not know that until recently we were selling beta versions on our website, we abandoned it for some reasons, it's really No big deal, but there were some people who bought like 10 or 12 betas.

I mean, they love these fish. These were not irresponsible fish. The keepers bought them all to put in a tank because they didn't know any better than they bought that. many because they set up individual tanks for all of them, why would someone set up so many tanks just for Betas? Well, like I said, there's something about them that just grabs you and won't let go. Fetas could practically be their own religion. That's how crazy we are about these fish and I'm not surprised they were number two but I really wish they had been number one and that's okay because John got that one and you'll see why so here we are, that's it.

By my calculations, that's between $24 and $4,800 for the fish alone. They're worth it? Of course you do, but the next thing you need to know is that discus are not the easiest fish to catch.keep. They may not be as difficult as some think, but.
