recovery

process, so right after the

surgery

I was definitely very groggy and very tired since I was just waking up from the general anesthesia. I had a large bandage around my face and some blood drains. Braun's nurses. They were so nice and helpful that they came to

check

on me every few hours.

I know it sounds crazy, but I didn't actually feel any pain, it was just discomfort because I couldn't really breathe through my nose. I had to breathe for her. my mouth since I had rhinoplasty, but overall my face was numb. I didn't really feel anything for a couple of hours after surgery. I'm actually not allowed to drink water, so I felt a little thirsty after spending enough time with the nurse. He brought me some water and I actually had to drink it with a syringe because I had facial contour surgery and couldn't open my mouth very much.

Jennifer was also a great help. I was so glad she was there. She brought me my medications. and she practically talked to me about the

recovery

process. I spent the night in the hospital and then basically fell asleep and slept all night. I woke up several times to drink some water the next morning and ended up having blood drains removed. my mouth and they used numbing injections so I didn't feel anything at all I didn't feel any pain I went ahead and changed and then I was getting ready to leave and go back to my hotel and this is so funny because I still had to wear a mask.

I feel like I look like a mummy in this video. Then the next day I went back to the clinic and first the nurse removed the bandage around my face and also cleaned some around the incisions on the front. of my ears, which were done for facial contour surgery and lastly, I cleaned the area where the ear cartilage had been removed, then I went ahead and washed my hair at the clinic. I just remember that it was so relaxing that my hair had become quite greasy. By then I was so happy to finally have nice clean hair again and then the next thing I want to do is get a regenerative laser treatment to help the swelling go down faster on my face.

I was very happy that Braun offered these types of treatments. treatments I received more of these laser treatments over the next few days as I continued to recover and here I was receiving an antibiotic injection. The last thing I did that day before leaving the clinic was to have my head bandage replaced and this was a type of compression bandage to help contain the swelling in my face and that was all for the second day after the

operation

. I returned to my hotel and rested. I was using Braun ice packs to help the swelling go down faster.
I was also taking medication with every meal, obviously immediately after surgery I couldn't chew any food so I was on a liquid diet and then followed aftercare instructions like applying antibiotic ointment on and around my eyelids. my nose and I would also change the gauze on my nose, so here I am, the fifth day after the

operation

, this is the day I returned to the clinic for another

check

up, so the nurse went ahead and removed the bandage of my face and she also went ahead and removed the stitches from the incisions in front of my ears, then went ahead and removed the splint from my nose.
At that point I was so excited to finally get the cast off. I felt so free that the nurse took some from me too. I got stitches on the outside of my nose and I could finally see my new nose. I was very happy with the result and at the time my nose was still very swollen so obviously it wasn't going to be the final result but I really loved the height and shape of my nose. I was so happy that I did another skin treatment to help reduce inflammation and this one was actually heated and this treatment felt really relaxing.
I definitely fell asleep during this and then I also had another laser treatment so I headed back to my hotel. I had really stocked up on water so I could make sure I was fully hydrated and I was also drinking a lot of smoothies and soups at the time. I'm still drinking liquids mainly for my diet Hi guys, it's day six, my lips are still quite swollen so it's still a little hard to talk but I feel a lot better. I'm very happy because I can breathe through my nose and, um, just a It's much easier now tomorrow I'll go back to the clinic for another checkup.
The doctor, of course, my face is still swollen, but I feel that it is getting better on the 7th day after the operation. I went back to the clinic and this time the nurse checked. On the stitches on the inside of my mouth to see how they were doing, the nurse also went ahead and applied some more antibiotic ointment to my nose and then I met with Dr. Kim who checked me and made sure the healing was going well. Very good, he told me that it did reduce my cheekbones and chin too and that I wouldn't have to worry about sagging.
Also, he did not do the bone graft for the smile line that we were discussing during the consultation since I also had rhinoplasty done on day 14

post

-op, that was my last checkup. First, the nurse removed the stitches from the inside of my mouth and the remaining stitches from the inside of my nose, so I had my last meeting and checkup with the doctors. I first met with Dr. Yu, who had performed surgery on me. nose and eyes. He told me that he had some limitations due to the elasticity of my skin, but he focused as much as possible on the tip of my nose, since he wanted to use septal cartilage and a donated rib. cartilage so that the tip had a very strong structure and didn't go down too far, which I really liked and then for the eyes, it made the eyelid crease higher than it naturally did and I was very happy with the results.
I then had my final checkup with Dr. Kim, who had performed the facial contour surgery. He told me that he might feel some discomfort when opening his mouth for a month or two and that he would still have some numbness around his face. Additionally, Dr. Kim said that he should not eat hard foods for about two months. He also recommended that I lose some weight for better results.
