video for you. This is all I'll take with me. With my guide, who is also one of my best friends, Tyler Boshma, so the telescope tripod and the tent will be split, but I will load everything inside our 3200 like it's a solo hunt just to show you the total weight. and that I can put everything on a 3200 and yeah let's get started so I got a 3200 xo k3 medium belt for myself.

I'm going to go through each element here and load it like it's in the field, so I started, uh. I'm starting from scratch. I have to place my water bladder in the platypus's three-liter bladder. Leave it here in the upper sleeve. Pass the bladder tube through the porthole. There is a Velcro tab here at the top to hang the bladder and before closing. In this there are a couple of items that I throw into the water bladder sleeve, things that I normally won't need during hunts until I kill an animal, so the rope and I always carry two pairs of gloves to process the game and then, normally, if so.

It was a bow hunt, I throw my

bags and stuff in here, but I actually throw them in a bag for my rear rifle bag, so going into the main bag, I just loosen all the straps, open the side zipper and I start with a the sleeping mat goes on the bottom neoair thermal rest pillow see to the top a small pillow that weighs an ounce so next I will throw my sleeping bag this is a lighted equipment quilt, it has been added a little bit of fill, it's about 25 degree comforter for the temps we're expecting a lot of rain and temps of 25 to probably 55 degrees so it's all based on that as far as

ing so I'll just grab a sack of sleep and I'll put it in there and Just work around the items that I put there at the bottom and then I'll zip up a little bit higher on the next Hillberg item, so this is a Helberg and on hand two, I

just the shell and a baby. bag, I have stakes and poles there, we did the setup on the same hunt two years ago and it was fantastic, we were able to clear the night on the mountain, sleep under the stars with the baby bag and then if it was raining or the weather was , basically the weather required it, we installed the Hillberg shell.

I don't put this in a bag, I just leave it loose and that way I can stick it in here and fill all the space. of the

, it takes up a lot less space if you do it this way in the morning, if it's soaked I can just throw it on the front elastic panel of the

backpack

and that way the midday sun comes out and I can dry off. Our plan is to pack up camp every morning and be fairly mobile on this hunt. Work everything nice and tight at the bottom. Come up as I look around long johns, I'm just going to pull down here too. and then the next item will be food.

I have 10 days here, every day is 33 to 3,400 calories. I don't do anything too light, I try to keep the things I want to eat while I'm out. The food is, you know, it starts off heavy, but obviously every day I'm gaining about a pound and a half to two pounds lighter, so one thing I do every day is put them in a ziploc bag and fold them into these cute little ones. bricks. It takes up a lot less space that way, I'll save a bag of food that I'll actually put on the lid for quick access that day.

Titanium jet boiling stove. This is an old one, they don't make them. ya but it's been a great stove for me it's on its last legs here storage pocket inside my storage pocket there's a lot of different first aid things that I have you know ibuprofen tylenol I have cotton balls lighters bank of batteries I have a bank of 10,000 milliamp batteries cables extra batteries I have an extra headlamp I have a black diamond spot for the main one and then a spotlight where I just grab the housing and that way if it ever gets lost or broken I have a hidden pocket for the headlamp which connects to the hidden pocket loop right here and that way I always know where it is and as I look around that's it to see

's in the main bag except my clothes in there so I'm going to move on and run it to the top, uh, rain gear.

I'm trying this canis ring this year. It's the first time I've used it so far. I'm very impressed, I haven't done it. I actually took it out into the field, but I'm very impressed with the quality of what I'm seeing, so I'm going to put it around my food and this is a stellar, ultralight, puffy, superlight, 11.8 ounce, 900. Full to the puppy I've been using for a few years and I've really liked it and obviously I'm starting out pretty full, but you know, by day two, three and four, as the food decreases, it'll be a lot easier to get it. items inside and outside the backpack, so that's all inside the main bag.

This is a little pocket that I built that is actually made from the fabric of our lumbar pad that I use as a rear bag for the rifle, so I find everything I can and I'm packing. with me to fill that so game bags I just have a random assortment of one I made just a few other companies I've used in the past they all seem to work great two extra pairs of socks and my bivy sack so yeah , stuff extra socks, baby sack and game bags here to make my rifle bag. I usually throw it in the elastic pocket, but with a backpack this full it gets a little more difficult, so I'll put it in the lid from time to time.

Like and you know after several days in the field they're going to have a lot more room in the package as it goes so inside the lid for my food, this is an eagle hawk knife. This company from Australia has been using this for a long time. A couple of years old, a very impressive little knife made of s90v steel. I also have an inside pocket inside that pocket. I have a small capping knife that uses only 60 60 xt blades, so that's the cap in the top pocket of the cap. I'll throw away my headlamp. Make sure it is locked so it doesn't turn on.

Put it in the side pocket of the backpack. Slide the stakes down the tent poles. Hold them the other way. I will carry two packages of wipes every 10 days. hunt and tend and be filter free and I pack an extra bag between the three liter bladder and then two of these I can carry five liters of water at a time if necessary and I had also had one of these fail me before so it gives me a backup bag in case you need it so swarovski ats 65 telescope my friend tyler will also pack a koa 77. I may or may not pack this when I get to the field it just depends so that's going to fall. in the side pocket, fit the slick 624 tripod with the smarter precision Nighthawk pan head and then replace the center column with a carbon tube I ordered on Amazon.

This whole setup weighs about a pound and 15 ounces, so it's incredibly light for a really solid tripod and pan head combo, swarovski uh binocular tripod adapter, and just my phone's scope adapter, so it's on the lid, spartan bipod, I keep it here in this lower side pocket too if I need quick access to it where I'm

hunting

. I understand that you know that it doesn't seem very often that you have the ability to lie face down, but when you do, it's certainly nice to have garmin inreach mini 2 fhf binoculars with swarovski vinyl harness the range ta last year was the first year that the I used.

I'm very, very impressed with that setup. I usually have a small carabiner and just attach my scope to the harness. The trekking poles will be in my hand. Prana Stretch Zion Pants. I make some leather mechanics gloves that I end up wearing and walking around in. Those many have two different base layer and mid layer technica plasma shoes that I am using. I've been hiking in another pair of those for over a year. I have been very, very happy with them and honestly, I would. I traded almost every other item in my backpack for gators when we did this exact hunt two years ago, we almost left the gators out and they ended up being probably one of the most valuable pieces of gear we had.

We were able to kill Tyler. a battering ram and we hiked 15 miles basically walking through streams the entire way and the trip would have been extremely miserable if we hadn't been able to do it, the side walls of the canyon were really steep and these things were absolutely invaluable. so I tied them to the front of the pack, as you can see I have absolutely everything I need for this hunt in the 3200, this is all on my body, you have some lightweight catula alligators in there for my rifle, uh, for all the Nerds of the rifle, this is a 6.5 creedmoor with the mdt Hunt 26 chassis, it has an anti-x action in there, uh, paradigm, carbon barrel, Thunderbeast, 5-inch suppressor, Nightforce nxs, two and a half to ten and I'm shooting a 125 grain badlands dozer bullet at 2840. feet per second this folding chassis is an amazing strap that on the side of the backpack can, you know, have a much better space to dodge the brush and stuff some of that stuff in Alaska get pretty nasty, so we'll weigh this up for you.

What turns out to be the only thing that's obviously not in here is water and that's just going to fluctuate, obviously, it could be anywhere from a pound to eight and nine pounds if you had the five liters of water in there, so I feel like it weighs between 42 and 43 pounds. pretty good with that as it's essentially a solo doll

in Alaska again expecting lots of rain, good quality rain gear, good Hilleberg tents and temperatures of 25 to 55. So yeah, I hope to post some photos of one big and pretty doll sheep. They will kill me when I return looking forward to the trip.
