easiest way to check it. This is Walbro. You've left a couple of raised castings here, they're now 1.6 millimeters below this edge, so when we put our ruler along there, you can see here that the metering lever is just low, so what would that mean? that? This means that by default this wouldn't let in as much fuel as we need, so you can see we just need to adjust. How do we adjust it? Too easy. You just have this tab here, you lift it up slightly and then you check it. out again just a fraction more there perfect so you can see now by having that higher it lifts the needle more it lifts the valve more we put in more fuel so when we use the fuel out of there the diaphragm goes down and pushes that little metering valve a little more and leaves a little more fuel in a pretty critical step to adjust that, okay, let's put this back together, first the gasket, then the diaphragm, the gasket sits there, then the diaphragm, rear cover and primer bulb.

I've made sure it's nice and clean, there are four bolts, it's a throttle shaft, a new spring, we'll put it in before the fuel pump comes on, which makes it a little easier, we'll install the fuel pump fuel now, the new gasket goes on the new diaphragm cover, the diaphragm will seat, it's a gasket and a diaphragm, so let's go straight. Now I have the throttle plate there so that little notch goes towards the fuel pump. I just have to remember that because they only go one way. I have a lot of red loctite on my screw.

I'm just going to take the tension of that spring so that the threads in the center hole screw this thing down. This should be nice and tight. This is undone. It's directly on the engine. It feels so good, so much better, the throttle action now is just fantastic, there's no movement at all, nothing at all, but it feels amazing, well, extra bolts again, so for just a few dollars in rebuild parts you'll get it. We have given this Kirby a new lease. Life feels amazing and it's going to work out incredibly well, that's it, another video done, uh, I know it was a little boring and long.

I was talking about Jarvis and fuel pumps and metering valves and pretty boring stuff, but the results are amazing anyway. It's worth it, it's worth doing, I really hope you get a chance to do it at home because the results are really amazing and installing the bearings ran out of time for me. 25 minutes talking about
