Chevelle SS 19 years ago to the gentleman I just bought it from. He has lived an easy life in Georgia. It seems like he's taking excellent care of you. I was. through our service department quickly because there was hardly anything to fix on the car so it's a really nice car it's a genuine SS that is designated right in the VIN number as having a correct and suitable 396 engine like the original four speeds they added there. air conditioning and it also has power steering, disc brakes, so it has everything you want, including the factory Navy color that we all love.

I think there was a little repair that I saw on the driver's floor, uh. So overall the bottom is very solid and is just as it was when we sold it to you 19 years ago. It's all clean and looks good down there, so let's take a look at the body. It presents itself very well. I have gone through it quickly and it shows. Okay, now let's look at it. The SS hood has these domes with the chrome grilles. The chrome looks new. This fits into a square shape. The hood sits a little lower than it should.

This fits well. It's not perfect here, but it lines up very acceptably on this side. It lines up better, it's straight looking towards the side of the car, the bottom of the fender is very straight, all metal clean, smoothed along the bottom of the doors and this paint is at least 19 years old. He did not restore this car, so it is a 19 year old paint job. if it hasn't bubbled or blistered yet it doesn't go to the roof it's in very good condition straight this is straight I'm looking at the body now we'll talk about the paint in a minute all the bodies look great from the bottom to the bottom no bubbles down there the trunk lid is straight this emblem goes back in time Volo Auto Museum voloclassiccars.com I don't even remember having that website, now it's just volocars.com held down with a sticker, but that's uh it's a little nostalgic, uh anyway, the body on this side looks just as good as the other side, like over here, it's nice and clean, a couple of Tiny Bubbles right there, if I didn't feel it, I wouldn't have even seen it. a couple of Tiny Bubbles very close to the bottom of the door fenders, that's all clean now it's a factory Navy blue car.
I checked the label on the firewall and I will say that the painting is beautiful, most people approach it. I'm going to say it's beautiful, it's not a 25,000 paint job on the ceiling, there's some texture here, there are imperfections in the texture, a couple of little, I want to call them dimples, but indentations, so the ceiling doesn't It's perfect, just a little bit of texture, a little bit of powder. The paint here and there is not scratched or chipped. I will say that the blue is, you know, evenly distributed. It's all one color. It has a transparent and very shiny layer.
There is a small dent from the inside up. I already know what they are. They have a bolt that is too long on the hood hinge and it is pushed up a little bit that can be knocked down just a little bit of texture to the paint in some places but overall it is a very sharp looking paint that we will touch up in the edge? off the door there's a little bit of Nick, yeah, overall, very good, a little more texture back here, some fish eyes, here's some chips on the inside edge, here the emblems are shining.
I'm sure the taillights, the bumper, everything that was replaced, was restored and still shows. Cool, the ss-396 has this blacked out panel back here, yeah, same thing, a little texture, but bright and looks great. The blurry windows were replaced when they were restored. The door handle is a little worn. The glass is tinted. It has an adhesive. tint in every way like the bow tie a mirror in very good shape the edge of this door is a little chipped the clear windshield has rally wheels they are 15 inches with the small center caps 67 it has the crossed flag uh emblem there you have T3 headlights , that's what they were back then, there's a T3 in the middle that's a reproduction of the grill bumper, everything up there looks great, it's the right antenna, it shines now, when we open it up, we see what the interior okay let's see what it's like inside the trunk clean under the trunk Lids painted very nice the jam is painted uh very good it has a nice smooth weather stripping in the trunk compartment uh solid metal painted with splatter obviously wheel spare rally car, it has a tire that retains air, it looks like the base is the original jack, the jack is underneath, I see it there, so it has a jack assembly, so overall it is very good and is complete as it should be.
I see two little dimples on this side that I can also take out and I have the one on the hood so I'll try to get our deckhand to take care of that for us. He goes out, but once a week, the door jambs are painted nice and Slick, the weather stripping is replaced, the door panels still look new. the handles were replaced. I'm sure this has the flashing lights attack now. There is actually a turn signal built in because it covers the turn signal on the dash that is factory and then you have the gauges instead of fake lights so it says gauges and tachometer, stock radio. the bezels the plastic the metal trim all of this is very nice the light works in the glove box the heater control panel is very nice but it is a little discolored it is a non-original air conditioning system this thing should blow ice cubes into your lap quartz movement on the clock down here on the factory console, has the correct reverse lock shifter, correct blue seat belts.
I wanted to point out that you can't really see if there's a split in the dash right here, cracked on the top, a couple of holes in the steering wheel, the seat. It has a split right here, someone touched it with something and then the edge of the seat is a little worn. If that bothers you that much, they sell these seat covers new, but overall the seat back and all the upholstery in general are very good. shape it has rear seat belts the side panels the armrests all of that is really good it has some 6x99 speakers back there must have had a stereo here at some point excellent headliners not wrinkled dome light works sun visors are all very nice has a modern one there is a mirror on it so I don't know what kind of functions it has now but it is wired maybe it says the temperature or something the light on the back of the console is working the mechanics have been very happy With me, the cars have been running. through inspection, uh, pretty easily they said I've been buying some really nice cars, this is a correct engine, so it doesn't match the VIN number, it's actually a big block 71 uh 402, covers correct manifold valves you know it looks like the stock has the stainless steel braided covers and all the hoses the alternator has a sticker still non-original air conditioning system has a HEI distributor has original exhaust manifolds has small heat shields around the spark plugs down there is an Edelbrock card with an electric choke that we have been Putting in disconnects and our batteries when you park The car, you turn it off, it has the Shroud and, again, it is very desirable that they have power steering and power brakes, a plated reinforcement in cadmium and of course air conditioning, that's the label I was talking about, the FF means it's Navy blue top and bottom with no vinyl top, see the water jets attached under the painted hoods, here there's the insulation, very nice, like the local Cruise Night car show, kind of car idles a little high, like it's supposed to, hasn't warmed up yet, there it goes, oh, nice.
Lopy Idol Sunny days are on the way, it's not today, okay folks, what we have here is a very, very nice restoration from 20 years ago, you have a factory SS Marina, blue, four speed, large, black, Air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, I think I priced it. This, quite reasonably, is probably one of the least expensive uh 66 or seven Chevelle hardtops I've put on the floor in a long time. You may have noticed that the rear window crank was on the seat and said stupid clip, they fall off, we'll take it. Take care of that, obviously, so there you go, go to volocars.com, talk to the seller, uh, with your questions, he'll help you get it delivered to your door, he'll help you finance it at volocars.com, if you liked it the video, subscribe, click. on the bell icon so you receive a notification when news is published.
