Mod Showcase: Sully's Mod 3.1.1 for Minecraft 1.20.1 [FORGE]

Apr 15, 2024
Hello everyone. Today we will cover Sully's Mod for 1.20.1. The main features of Sully's Mod are Jade, Tortoises, The Jungle Spider, Bouldering Zombies, The Lantern Fish and Copper Buttons. Let's start by looking at Jade. Jade Ore only spawns in jungle biomes. Comes in regular stone and deep slate. Jade can be broken with an iron pickaxe or better and when it falls, it drops rough jade. Raw jade can be taken to a grinding stone to make polished jade. Both items can be used on a crafting table to make a block. Both blocks come with their own block sets.

Additionally, polished jade can also be used in a brewing stall to brew a lucky potion. Here are all the blocks you can make with Rough Jade. A raw jade block, bricks, raw jade stairs and slabs, raw jade slabs (+stairs and slabs) and a smooth raw jade. For polished jade, you can make polished jade block, polished jade bricks (+stairs and slabs), polished jade tiles (+stairs and slabs), small polished jade bricks (+stairs and slabs), jade tiles polished (+stairs and slabs), a Polished Jade Pillar, a Polished Jade Chisel and a Jade Totem. A great feature of Jade is that all projectiles will bounce off of it.

This only applies to Polished Jade varieties (not raw Jade). The last Jade block we have is the Flinger Totem. If you fire a projectile to the side, it will shoot out the front. If we move this launching totem like this, we could shoot an arrow to the side and it will shoot towards the front. You can also use a honeycomb to add delay. Jade upgrades (a blacksmithing template) can be found in chests in the jungle temple. These can be applied to shields and horse armor (diamond). When these elements are combined on a blacksmithing table, the Jade variety is created.

He could use the Jade Shield to bounce projectiles off the skeletons. With Jade's horse armor, my horses will live longer than ever. The last feature related to Jade is a music disc found in the jungle chest temples: "Scour" by LudoCrypt *Jamming out* The next feature we have is the Turtle. Turtles can be raised with 4 different items: melons, apples, glow berries, and sweet berries. If we raise 2 of these guys, they will lay turtle eggs. They'll just do it under a tree. When the turtle eggs hatch, they will create a baby turtle. When this little guy grows up, he will drop a Turtle Shield.

So we have 1 in our inventory right now. If we enter, we will get 3. They leave 2 each time. If we take this shield to a craft bench we can make a turtle shell and this is a really cool item. It's a projectile that you can right-click to throw. You can also ride turtles, but they become a little shy. Turtles can be found in savannas, birch forests, or any jungle biome. The next feature is Jungle Spider. As its name suggests, this spider could only spawn in a jungle biome. This mob is neutral, meaning that during the day it will not attack you, but if you hit it, it will.
It's the same as the normal Spider. So you can see that each spider has 2 different bands. This represents different effects the spider will give you when it hits you. If we enter survival mode and provoke one of the spiders, it will attack us and give us 2 effects (1 positive + 1 negative). For example, the one we reached has 2 bands, one is for Mining Fatigue and another for Jump Boost. We could also use a glass jar to collect this poison and then you could see that it gives us jump drive and mining fatigue. But if we go to this (another) one with two different bands, we'll get Glowing and Poison.
And the same thing happens if we choose this one. I think blue might be Quickness or something. Oh! Water Breathing: I guess it makes sense for the color blue. The next feature is the climbing zombie (originally from Minecraft Earth). These guys will only appear in deep layers and can appear in all Overworld biomes. The lower you go; the more common they are. This mob is similar to the zombie, but this type is a little taller and deals more damage. Look, that makes 2.5 and that makes 1.5. A curious fact is that bouldering zombies are very sensitive to fire.
Fire will deal 1.5 times more damage than normal zombies. The last monster in this version of Sully's Mod is the Lantern Fish. This mob can only appear at light level 0 and could appear in all biomes except Lush Caves. Since it is a fish, it can only spawn in water. Upon death, this mob drops raw lanternfish. Raw lanternfish can be cooked in a smoker, oven, or campfire. When consumed, a cooked lanternfish can give you a glowing effect. I know this isn't my skin, but I still glow. You can also practice tactical fishing to get lanternfish. The last feature of this version is the copper button.
The Copper Button comes in 8 different varieties. Copper, exposed copper, worn copper, oxidized copper and the waxed version of each. The Copper Button is just what it sounds like. It's a button. It will open doors and activate a redstone pulse. Each button has a different pulse duration. So the normal one has a pulse duration of 10 ticks. This one has 20 ticks. This one is 30 and finally the fully rusted version is 40. In a previous version of Sully's Mod, the Copper Golem was a feature. But that feature has since been removed and discarded. Sully's Mod also has a design document.
This document only covers planned content and all implemented features are explained in detail on the Wiki. Then you have this Troll mafia which is cool. You can read about this in the document. The beetle, with all these different colors and types. The Piranha: a very good fish. The Chameleon and this will also have the camouflage function. The Ent... this tree guy. And this forest on a neotropical island. And then a Jade Dungeon, which would be fantastic. Lobber Zombie, which goes hand in hand with Bouldering Zombie. The   Pot Golem: We love Golems. Petrified Tree. Then we have Amber, who was recently shown.
I think this is a really cool feature and I can't wait until the mod arrives. Then we have the cochineal, which is a fun addition. And with that comes Bug Meat. There's also the   Sledgehammer, a new staggered weapon. The Bogged: another of these zombie editions. And Blot, which also appears to be another zombie edition (Edit: it's not, see description. That's all the content I have for Sully's Mod. In the future, I hope to do a Modded Survival series with mods that aren't too far from vanilla. (Those are more stylized than vanilla.) And I thought I would start covering some of the mods I could include in that.
I really want to include the Sully mod in it. I could be using version 1.19.2. use more mods made for that version and I haven't updated to 1.20 yet. But overall I'm excited to see where Sully's mod goes in the future, thanks for watching.
