3 quick easy teacher appreciation gift ideas on a budget...

I have two really great,

quick

,

easy

, and inexpensive teacher appreciation

gift

ideas

that I think you'll love. These

ideas

are totally inspired by Pinterest. These are not my ideas. I'm just giving the dollar tree a twist and a twist because they are ideas that you can make using about 100 dollar tree elements, well one of them is anyway, the other one, there are a few options, but we'll get to that when we get there to that, but for now I'm going to show you two quick and

easy

teacher appreciation

gift

s that you can make on a

budget

if you want to give something to your kid's teacher this year, let me put down my gavin and I've been gavin and let's start making some cheap diys for our dollar tree masters you will want to use three 5x7 frames, but when you select your frames you will want them to be as flat as possible on the face of the frame because we are going to stack them and make a sort of shadow box. so to make a shadow box on one of the frames, I'm going to go ahead and remove the backing and this is plexiglass, that's cool.
3 quick easy teacher appreciation gift ideas on a budget
I'm going to put this in my stash. The plexiglass is useful sometimes once I remove everything I have. I'm going to take some of my wire cutters and remove the tips because in this frame we don't need the tips. Now each frame is going to be a little bit different so I'm going to walk you through what we do with each frame so we can put the shadow box together and for this frame here we're going to go ahead and remove the glass, take out the tips and then to replace the glass , I will put a dot and hot glue on each of the corners then they replace the glass or not the glass, the plexiglass in this case, but in the next step I am using this super glue, it is a wood glue that you can get on the tree of the dollar because it's all I have on hand.

You can use e6000 if you want, I'll place it on the back of my frame that has the plexiglass, then I'll stack the first frame that we took the glass and tips out of right on top, taking the last frame into this last frame. We're going to keep the support and we're also going to keep the tips on this. We're just going to discard the plexiglass because we need the tips of it to hold the backrest and that will be the back. from our shadow box, so again I'm going to go ahead and put some hot glue on my stack of frames and I'm going to place my last frame that has the spikes on top.
I mean, at Michael's house I found this scrapbook. paper that looks like notebook paper, how cute is that, so I thought it would be perfect for this DIY, so taking the backing of my frame, I'm just going to trace it, make it easy, no measuring, just trace it and cut it, and with this. I'm going to hot glue it to the back of the frame. The frame support. The cardboard frame support. Here yes, that is what I am going to do for these DIYs. You will have a small dollar tree shopping list. I need some cover erasers, I don't know why I bought two packs, you only need one and you're going to throw one of them in the frame or the shadow box and we're going to replace the backing of that back frame that puts the notebook paper in and wait until you see how cool it looks turning it over look how cool it looks with those erasers in there you'll also want to pick up some pencils if you don't have any number two or yellow Pencils on hand I picked up this package for jot because it says jot.
I put the glue on the side that says jot and turned it upside down and I wanted to sharpen my pencils because I think it looks more finished that way. Look how cool it looks just by gluing them to the side. What a fun gift for a teacher. I will be adding vinyl to this DIY and the vinyl I am using is this decal that says the influence of a good teacher can never exist. erased get it erased erasers linda and I designed this decal you can find this decal in her etsy store it is available for digital download which is instant so if you have a cricut you can download it and cut it yourself or you can order it and have pretty.
Cut it out and send it to you with free shipping. You can find the link to their store in the description box below so with that I went ahead and got my vinyl on my transfer tape and I'm just going to put it on the glass. here on the front now I will tell you that I wish I had done this ahead of time because this is plexiglass not glass which made it a little harder to remove the vinyl so make a mental note that if you do this you might put the decal on of vinyl before assembling the frames while the glass is out it would probably be easier no it would definitely be easier but hey living and learning through my experiences increases wisdom ok seriously isn't it so stinky and adorable ?
I love what the teacher would do. I don't love getting this for this next DIY. Yes, you will need some wooden rulers. You can get a four-pack of these at the 99-cent store, so if you have one nearby, you'll want to go there, otherwise, you're going to have to go to Walmart. You'll get two for one dollar. You need six. I'm going to place them face down, next to each other, like this and then I'm going to use these popsicle sticks and some of this wood. glue this is with super glue, you can get it at the dollar tree, any glue will work.
I'm going to glue these popsicle sticks to the back of the rulers, holding the rulers in place. Now they were a little long, so I'll take my cable. cutters and I'm just going to trim the popsicle sticks a little bit. I don't like using scissors because they really ruin your scissors so I use my wire cutters because it's easy and then it just breaks you that easy so I'm going to glue four of these sticks on the back once the popsicle sticks are good and dry. I'm going to use one of my old liquid shoe polish methods to stain the wood and you can do this using a brown and black liquid shoe polish because I'm going to use a brush.
I think pouring the frosting into one of the plastic molds from Dollar Tree makes it easier than using the foam applicator because when you use it on wood it tends to snag and doesn't work. so evenly and it takes longer, so I'm going to go ahead and give these rulers a good coat of brown frosting. Now you'll notice as I'm making it that this icing has a reddish orange tint to it, which is not my favorite color, but if you add a little bit of black icing to it, it will darken it, tone down the red and give you a more rustic brown, a walnut brown and that's it. the brand.
That's what I'm going to go with, if you don't mind the reddish color, maybe like a cherry I would keep it now because I'm going to give this away. I'm going to go the extra mile and finish the back nicely and I want to say that the liquid shoe polish I'm using is coachman's, it's one I found at the 99 cent store. You can find this liquid shoe polish at almost any general dollar store. Dollar Tree, you just have to keep your eyes open. for it and I also want to say that there is no residual smell from the bitumen once it dries, although I'm going to take some sandpaper and go over it lightly because I want to get some of that raw wood out. give it an old rustic look and you can do it easily by using sandpaper and this sandpaper is from dollar tree.
Did you know you can get a 25 pack of sandpaper at the dollar tree in the tools section? Amazing purchase, don't buy it anywhere. otherwise, get it there for this DIY. I thought it would be better to go the cardstock route because cardstock is stiffer. These rules are uneven. Vinyl will not look good on the front of this poster board if you are interested in having one as a teacher. personalized name, this is another item that you can find available in linda's etsy store for digital download, instant digital download or you can cut it out and send it to you with free shipping.
You know where her link is, it's in the description box below and so with This I went ahead and cut out Ali's teacher's name, Miss Lots Gazelle, out of white cardstock and you can see how nice it will look on the front of these rules using a little spray adhesive. This is whiskey. This is one you can get at Walmart. It is quite inexpensive to place her name face down on a paper towel. I'm going to lightly spray the spray adhesive on the back. Now when you're working with spray adhesive, it's best to let it sit for a couple of minutes before putting it in place because then it sets. it's tacky and it works better, so with that I'm going to go ahead and put her name here on the front of these rules and I just want to take a second to thank Miss Gazelle for all the effort. work, the dedication that he has put into Ali's class this year, he has really made distance learning easy, he has made it successful and I really feel that Ali benefited this year, he took a bad situation and made it good, and I know a lot of people may not be able to say that, but we were very lucky to have Miss Lots Gazelle as Ali's teacher this year, so Miss Lots Gazelle, if you're watching this, I really want to say, thank you, thank you, I appreciate you more than you imagine. and uh, you really were the key to making this year successful and easy.
I was so afraid of this year and how it was going to turn out and in the end there was nothing to be afraid of because you made it an amazing year for ally. So thank you now that I put her name in the rules. I also picked up some of the pink dollar tree erasers because I thought they would be a cute addition to this, so I'm going to embellish it. with some fun school supplies like erasers, pencils, crayons, how fun is that and I think this is an adorable piece that any teacher would love to place in their classroom or even on their door.
Here is another option if you want to use an ornament. Bundle Instead of pencils, crayons, and erasers, this embellishment bundle is also available in Linda's Etsy store. This adorable sign needs a hanger, so what better way to hang it than to use my favorite thread. This is a thicker jute twine or cord you can get. at Walmart you can get a huge two pound spool for about four dollars which is a great buy so using the existing holes that are already in the rulers how cool is that I'm going to go ahead and run some thread through through it to tie it. a knot and really give it that rustic feel, isn't that funny?
Even when I'm giving a gift, I'm going to give it that rustic touch because it's in my blood. I can't help it. This rope is adorable. How fun is this, it was quick, easy and cheap. I think Miss Gazelle will love this latest DIY. It's nothing new, but I wanted to show you how easy it is to do it using these coffee cups that you can get from the dollar tree. They come in several different colors, I couldn't find white so I settled for gray. I think gray is going to look great. Let's personalize it using some square craft vinyl.
Yes, this says removable, but that's what I mean. when you use removable vinyl on something like a tumbler, if you wash it by hand it won't come off, it will come off if you put the mug in the dishwasher and wash it on high heat, it will melt and shrink. your vinyl, but if you just hand wash it and don't use the rubbing part of the sponge it will stay, maybe just put a cute little tag on the gift or mug to let the teacher know how to do it. clean it or whoever you give it to how to clean it I went ahead and cut out some of these cute sayings I found in the Cricut design space for teachers.
I loved this one, this one was absolutely, these were absolutely my favorite, my favorite people call. I teacher, I love that little humans teacher, they both just go together and I think that just screams teacher, a teacher who loves her job anyway and I know I miss a lot because I love her job because she is very good at it and she is very good with the kids so i went ahead i cut them with the cricut vinyl cricut vinyl not square crafter vinyl im getting too excited and usethe transfer tape I don't really like that much, but since I have it, I'm going to Use it and guess what Linda has put them up for sale in her etsy store.
We don't think you want to make all of these DIYs, but maybe you want to make one for your children's teacher and you don't have the stickers to make them. The option is that they are available in Linda's Etsy store for a very affordable cost. For this DIY, I'm telling you putting two stickers on this mug because I really loved them both saying that a lot and I couldn't decide which one I liked better so since this mug glass has two sides I thought why not put one on each side and again using the transfer vinyl tape, you will go ahead and place your decal. over the surface and you're going to rub it gently, you're going to grab your scraper or your credit card and you're going to have a great time, you're going to keep that scraper credit card in your hand while you're peeling.
Turn up the transfer tape because you might have to go over it a little bit more. vinyl, you will go slow and it will appear now. You know, I said in the past, when I reviewed this transfer tape, that it definitely wasn't. my favorite was not, it's very sticky and sticks too much, that's the problem, so I know there are ways to make it less sticky, but when I buy something, I buy it for a dollar and I have to put it on. All that work just isn't worth it to me, so I can tell you that once this transfer tape runs out, I will not be purchasing Crafter Square transfer tape again.
I would rather use the clear shelf liner from the Dollar Tree because it worked. much better and look there, easy, easy, lemon squeezer, super fast, super easy, super cheap and to this you could add a Starbucks gift card, if you wanted you could fill it with a couple of k-cups or hot chocolate or tea , be creative, your teacher will do it. I love, yes, what it says here. Kayla is drawing me like a caricature. You'll have to head over to her channel to see how she turned out. You can find the link to today's video in the description box below.

I guessed it in the description box below, I would say let's talk about the elephant in the room, but that seems a little harsh because Kayla is not an elephant, but can I tell you how difficult it is to make my introduction seeing her and my peripheral vision ? Being how weird she is and just trying to stay focused, yeah, anyway, Kayla wanted to be a part of this intro, so she's a part of it. I have to work and if she's not going to move her ass off her couch, it's going to be part of it. today and when it comes to allying to bring the task, this is the fourth time I have a filmmaker, look, I disappeared, I feel like she wants me to take her somewhere, no, I actually need you to watch the video to make sure that everything is in order. okay, oh, edit that, you'll move on, you're doing great, no, I have to finish this.
