NES Godzilla | The Creepypasta Anthology

This is Creepy, a podcast dedicated to sharing the world's most famous

creepypasta

s and urban legends. If these stories really happened and are not simply lies, you decide that these stories may contain graphic depictions of violence and explicit language. Listener discretion is advised. features NES Godzilla Rin but Cosby Daffy narrated by Nate Dufort and animated by Totem Miller, a little boy from Earth and Mars, the two things I loved most in life were the Godzilla games and the NES, so naturally when it came out Godzilla's monster of monsters, it was like a dream. come true, well, almost to sum it up, most of the game revolved around traversing very repetitive levels of outer space while destroying tanks and planes and then fighting Godzilla's monstrous enemies.

Overall, it was pretty mediocre, but back then I didn't care when it arrived. the game as a gift for my 10th birthday i played it day and night as much as i could unfortunately i traded the game for a mcgann a year later, much to my chagrin when i found out what that game was like recently on a new NES system and after much hunting and questioning , my friend Billy finally managed to find a copy of the Godzilla monster that was powered to play my favorite childhood game. It didn't even occur to me to ask where Billy founded it.

He gave me some too. other games like Legend of Zelda Bomberman and something stupid called Action 52, but Godzilla had to come first, so I started the game and the nostalgia came back like a tidal wave. Godzilla's 8-bit theme music blasted proudly through the speakers and soon Grinning like an idiot, some people laugh at me for playing such outdated games, but I've never enjoyed any other game this much other than the NES ones. . Those 8-bit games take me back to when things were much simpler and safer, but later. what happened with this game i don't have those feelings anymore now fast the fun of smashing things is Godzilla ran out in the scrolling levels the game bombards Z with bullets and things crashing into you from all directions and you're too big to avoid most of them and although my excitement had worn off a bit, it wasn't long before I reached my first boss battle.

My first opponent was Gazzara, an obscure squid kaiju who had never been in a Godzilla movie. The most annoying thing about fighting his aura is that he always corners you and starts hitting you with his tentacles and you can't move until he breaks free of you. This move doesn't deal any damage, but it can stall you until time runs out and you have to start the fight again. and he regained some health it's as annoying as it sounds and of course he did it when I fought him alone for some reason this caused the game to crash because once he started hitting me he never stopped the timer it's supposed to end the fight in about 40 seconds but this lasted almost five minutes, after a while the graphic started messing up with little red blocks everywhere which was strange but I just took the game out and started it again I wasn't willing to leave it.

A little problem got in my way, so I started again and this time I defeated Gazzara and the other level boss monster, Mogera, without any problems, so I went to the next planet, Mars. I searched the board and found something unexpected wherever P should have. been there, instead of peace representing Titanosaurus, there were only ten kaiju in the game and Titanosaurus wasn't one of them there, so I thought maybe the titanosaurs were originally meant to be in the game, but were changed with Varenne for for some reason so I started to feel very excited, not only was I playing my favorite game but I was playing a prototype of some kind with a new monster, needless to say I ran through the levels as fast as I could to see the Titanosaurus in action, fight because or again and defeat it first. could hit with his tentacle, but this time the problem started to occur when he died because or a goblin did not sink to the bottom but seemed to be eaten by the problem and when I started appearing randomly all over the screen, I now know that These glitches with Gazzara were my first warning sign that something was seriously wrong with this game, but I foolishly ignored it and proceeded to fight Mogera, who this time had a glitch of his own.
Mogera was twice the size he should have been, which surprised me. He was also considerably harder to beat than usual, I mean not at all, but I soon defeated him as well and when he died, another glitch occurred which happened extremely quickly, so I was lucky to have a screenshot, but what What happened was that the giant Mogera sprite began to break and melt. Also, if you look at the confusing tax in the right corner of the screen, you'll notice what appears to be a bird in a cage. I still have no idea what that meant at this point. to fight Titanosaurus and I was worried what kind of glitches would happen this time, but to my surprise, the titanosaurs looked fine, even though all the bipedal monsters in the game were the same height.
The titanosaurs were a little taller, but like the titanosaurs they were actually taller than Godzilla and his movie debut and I thought this was cool after a really fun fight with a monster that wasn't supposed to be in the game. I took over the enemy base and proceeded not to Jupiter as usual, but to paint those chapters to pay. that pathos was the same as Jupiter's and the design except the board was dark blue instead of green. The first thing I noticed was that all the usual level icons had been replaced with a blue rock and some sort of orange honeycomb shape.
There was an icon that had part of the shape of the jungle icon, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I checked the other side of the board to see the new monster instead of adora, which has accumulated on T, but that couldn't have been right. Godzilla versus bio long T didn't come out until 1989 and this game was made in 1988, maybe Toho put bile T in the game to generate hype for the movie next year but they changed their mind. I tried to rationalize the game's abnormalities any way I could, but this would turn out to be The song be futile pathos map was the first new song I heard in the game, like most new songs, it was hard to describe it wrong.
Try it, it started off slow and much more suspenseful than any song in the game, but every 12 seconds or so. a loud crashing sound and the tempo changed, it was as if the composer randomly played parts of five different songs with the same instruments. I move Godzilla towards one of the many blue rock icons that had replaced the jungle icons and start the level, the level looked like a blue mountain range with a blood red planet in the sky, but there is something strange about the mountains in a shredded paper. Look at them first, maybe the bug that hit seemed a little too intentional and I quickly noticed something else about this new level.
There were no enemies at all, not even obstacles, it was also mentioned this is where the point meter started to glitchy beyond comprehension, but it didn't bother me much. I never keep up with the points in the game so without having to concentrate on anything I listen to music while walking through the level unopposed the music had a sad feeling it would have been quite nice if I had listened to it in a normal game the level lasted three screens but without obstacles and I finished it very quickly I tried other levels of the same type to see if any enemies appear but there were none, it was not easy to be seen in the Blue Mountains so I tried the other type of level I started one of the orange levels my eyes were assaulted with a grotesque background of tumorous orange eyes.
The sky was the same as the ground, so I assumed the game indicated that this level takes place in a cave. The only enemies here were my tango spawns, but as you can see the little bastards were everywhere, the music certainly didn't help with a mix of screeching sounds. and loud drums, it sounded like a monster theme in a horror movie after completing it, I tried to avoid playing more of these levels whenever I could, the map was short so there were only a few minutes left until I was heading towards a rematch with Gazzara and Mogera. but this time their sprites and attack patterns were very different.
First I fought Mogera. Bagheera's replacement was a flying machine with a slight resemblance to an alien from Pascagoula. It was a bit like fighting Mothra, only he moved with much more grace. He attacked by turning his forehead. A tentacle like a corkscrew still had an eye beam, except now it fired from the drill, this lanky aberration had replaced Gazzara and the new beast was more of a challenge, they ran and jumped at a rapid pace, constantly moving their arms, which made it difficult to get close and of course he tried to pin me in the corner with as much annoying determination as ever.
I defeated it using a combination of tail whips and spam with heat rays and I defeated them and was going to fight the Titanosaurus when I started the fight. I was Saurus. he was nowhere to be seen and the game just went back to the map with a Titanosaurus piece now missing, there was no one left to fight now except biollante so I started the battle excitedly. I was quite surprised when he started fighting in his rose. In form he was mobile and he used tentacles to keep me away from the main body, which took the most damage as expected.
It became his final form after taking enough damage. The sprite looked pretty good for 8-bit. The battle technique was the same except that now the vile aunt could move, although slower than any other monster hit by the tentacles, it now did more damage and the vile aunt could make an acid spit which I managed to avoid by jumping on the cover of the screen, it's not much harder to beat than the Titanosaurus, it only took two rounds, but when the aunt left, the music stopped and there was a new icon replacing the base. The icon wasn't there before you beat Biollante.
It looked like a red tribal mask and I felt scared when I saw it, but. Since then I replaced the base it must be the only way out, I painted those I'm in the square, I stared at the level, it was a hellish looking place with no sky, in a flickering fire in the background, the fire seemed much more advanced than anything I had seen. I have seen on the NES that there was music in the form of a slow and steady drum sound that resembled a heartbeat, all the text at the top of the screen and the life bar were gone, in its place there was a just fragment of text in the middle of the screen.
That said, shake off my sense of dread and if I had, I cautiously walked through the level like it was the Blue Mountains, there were no enemies. I walked around for a minute before thinking, running away from what the first time it hit me, I didn't even see. I walked into my room and turned to see if anything had fallen when I looked back. Godzilla was dying. I thought it must have been a glitch, but I was going to play the game without Godzilla, so I restarted the game and went to the password screen. Did I ever mention it? how creepy is the password screen music if you've played the game you know what I mean it doesn't fit the mood of the game at all it's more like something from a horror game maybe they did it so that the children did not cheat.
I was pretty upset at this point because I thought I was going to have to fight all the monsters again, but that didn't happen. The game started right where I was before I started the red face level, so I tried again making sure to pay. Attention, this time was when I heard a low roar, I saw it, you will feel that your body senses that you are an extreme danger, you begin to back away and tense up while the adrenaline flows through your veins and your nerves. I started to feel really cold when I took this screenshot.
I haven't seen all the Godzilla movies, but I'm pretty sure this was never in any of them. It had to be something the creators invented, but what kind of illness would it put? this in a kid's game of silly Locker maybe the adrenaline rush I managed to run fast enough to escape from him, he ran very fast, so fast that if you saw him you will almost certainly die and when I say die I mean your monster dies instantly if the creature touches it once I returned to the map. I was so scared that I was extremely tempted to just close the game and try to pretend this never happened.
I couldn't believe what I had just done. See, it couldn't have been real and even if I wanted to continue, I still had to take Mothra through this level of chase, but as I remained active on the map screen for a few minutes, my fear was replaced by a burning curiosity, could it? what the hell ends? It happened which was the rest of the game now I just had to beat this level with Mothra and then it moved on to the next world when I moved Mothra to the red face the game registered and I beat the level and I feltquite relieved.
I tried to prepare myself for the next world trance, chapter three. I'm still pretty shocked from the last level when I started the trance. The trance map music did nothing to ease the tension as to how to describe it. I once heard the Videodrome theme. The closest thing I can think of is to compare it to see who the new monster was and it was Orga. A monster didn't make its cinematic debut until 2000 and appeared in a game made in 1988. So much for my Titanosaurus theories and ole. Dude, there's no way this game was made in 1988.
Those Toho guys may be smart, but I'm sure they couldn't see that far into the future. If they could, they would never have given Roland Emmerich the rights to make a Godzilla movie. This had to be some kind of trick that opened up even more questions: who did this trick, when, how, and most importantly, why, why, was the question that bothered me the most. My immediate assumption was that Billy did this to prank me. but that couldn't be right either. Billy didn't know how to do a romhack and if he did, he probably just did something simple and stupid like replacing all the monsters and having crudely drawn genitals, unless Billy had seriously obscurity amazing game editing skills. streak to his imagination that he never told me about, he couldn't have done this, it is even possible to put a pirated ROM on a cartridge, apart from all that, I was attracted by a new icon on the map, a question mark.
I was very curious to know what he did. I'm sure you're curious too so I'll explain the quiz levels now since that's when they started appearing there is one of these per map from now on and they always appeared at the start of the map when you start on a trial level you appear on a screen like this a question at the top a yes and no button an emoticon in the center I mean the emoticon his very creative face I know and for convenience I will refer to the face as the one that asks the questions the music for the quiz levels was a hint actually in the game it's one that plays when you try to use it the GH one is a cheat and is sent to an unplayable level.
The face asks you twelve yes or no questions and you move your monster to the buttons to get your answer. When you answer, the question disappears and the face changes expression for about eight seconds and then returns to neutral and a new question appears, there is no time limit or right or wrong answers. The face does not respect the player's personal boundaries and sometimes asks personal and deeply disturbing questions, for example, do you like hurting people? You killed/raped someone. Have you ever been sexually abused by a family member? Other times you asked questions that were incredibly stupid: Is the sun hot?
The water gets wet? or simply ridiculous. Does your dog like the president? and maybe once a day. The quiz face would ask you a question about the game with one exception. The changes in facial expressions seem to have no effect on the game except to indicate what the game creator thought of your answer. His reactions rarely made sense and at first I thought they were randomly generated. the questions never followed a pattern the face never stayed on the same topic for more than two questions at first there were questions that made me think the face was preparing for something only to then ask some stupid rubbish here are the face expressions that I saw while playing I will separate them into two categories the expressions that I understood and the expressions that I did not understand first are the expressions that I understood a neutral one his default expression is angry if you try to attack face his expression changes to this but nothing happens but three sad for happy five sick six manic face mate this expression when I was being a you'll see what I mean later seven surprised eight love nine upset ten confused eleven guilty/hurt and here two more of these only appeared once the numbers number one and number 12 and I suspected that They could have been jokes from the Creator, their respective questions were: do you like ice cream? and are you a tough guy?
As for the questions in the first questionnaire, luckily I had a notebook and pen on hand. I have trouble remembering things so I often carry one with me to write things down and sometimes I doodle on it when I'm bored, so when the first quiz started I thought I'd record what happened. I'm glad I did it here, the first set of questions, my answers and reactions from the faces. test 1 number one do you like the game answer yes reaction happy are you afraid answer yes reaction surprised three are you over 18 years old answer yes reaction strange face number five for do birds have teeth answer no reaction love five is peanut butter good answer no reaction sick six the moon rotate answer yes reaction strange face number 11 seven have you had a job answer yes reaction confused eight like hurt people answer no reaction upset 9 is the sun hot answer yes reaction sad ten do you like dogs answer yes reaction happy 11 is the president good answer yes reaction strange face number 312 does your dog like it?
The president responds without reaction angrily now that I have explained all that time for the game after the test level. I tried the new green temple icon first. Wow, maybe that's why the game was so weird that one of the designers was clearly on drugs, jokes aside. I was quite impressed with the graphics on this level, as disorienting as they were, but I hate those creepy blank statue faces, the music had a hypnotic Indian techno vibe. Yes there were two new enemies in this level, a flying ghost with a trunk and a bat with a horse skull for a face, they appear randomly, but I was lucky to get a screenshot of both and then moved on to a blue mountain level .
Expecting another nice quiet walk, I took my time walking and was completely surprised when this happened. No Mogera came quickly towards me and took away some of my health with her tentacles. It only took me 2 minutes to kill him without having to do it. I was worried about the time limit, but the boss monsters never appeared in the scrolling levels in the normal game. I was worried what other rules the game would break after another stage of Blue Mountain, it was time to fight, not against Varenne, whose replacement was one of the strangest things in the game, this strange creature attacks you by kicking and also opening its chest and firing heat-seeking missiles.
I still don't understand it, sometimes it was difficult to deal with the missiles, but I found that you could tell with them. out of the way there was probably the easiest of monster replacements, the same couldn't be said for no Hedorah apparently the source of the horse bats no Hedorah was the most irritating and difficult monster to fight, but mainly due to his special ability he could shout and summon a small swarm of those bad horses. I know there are only two on the screen, but every time I did this around 10 would arrive, the AI would take advantage of the distraction and attack twice as fast while the bats flew around.
At Zed, the annoyance ended. I went through a green temple level killing some enemies to restore my health. Interestingly, none of the horses appeared after Hedorah was not killed and that's when I got an idea if killing all the monsters makes the face turn red. It shows what would happen if I avoid fighting Orga and go straight to the base, so I tried it. The game told me there were no monsters there when I tried to start the base level and immediately afterward the game took control of my Godzilla piece. and I moved it in front of orga, my little trick didn't work so I tried to prepare for another chase, but first it had to be orga.
The fight with Orga confirmed something else. Whoever created this game hack was clearly a Godzilla fan, not only because they chose a monster as Orga, but because they actually implemented something that happened in Godzilla 2000 in a very clear way, Orga's primary attacks were a punch and a beam of heat from his shoulder socket, but once you reduced him to half his health, he did something new. would expand his jaws and attempt to swallow Godzilla in the process, stealing your health and energy, but in doing so he gave himself a new weakness, firing a heat ray into his mouth would take four devastating bars off his life meter and that weakness was soon revealed.
Beat Orga and despite how much I expected the opposite the red face appeared on the map where the base was and the music stopped I prepared myself as best as I could I started the level and seeing that it was basically the same as the first. I didn't waste a millisecond before I started dragging my butt. Soon I found obstacles in the form of slabs suspended in the air, most of them you could jump over or destroy others, you had to crouch for about 40 seconds then I heard the horrible roar. and I saw the spider beast following closely behind me, piles of obstacles barely slowing down, it backed up and then charged through them, breaking them into pieces and when the smaller obstacles got in its way, it expanded its jaws and swallowed them whole.
In fear, but with quick thinking and faster button pressing, I escaped from him once again. I felt very excited, so I laughed and said not this time. I decided to take a screenshot to celebrate, but when I said that sentence right before the level ended, the monster did something. That made my blood run cold, that wave of deadly terror overtook me again and I'm sure I wasn't laughing anymore. I took another screenshot of the next level title right before I ran to the bathroom to splash some water on my face. and it was necessary to urinate that I could hardly contain when that thing looked at me after four dementias when I returned to the game it was bothering me and confusing me a lot I thought about the way the monster looked at me the game couldn't have done it.
I heard what I said, that's impossible, it had to be a random event, but why did it happen precisely at the moment when I insulted the monster? Nothing in this game made sense. The new Godzilla monsters, the strange replacement monsters, out-of-place images like the green temples quiz. The levels and red monster chases didn't seem to add up in any meaningful way. If it was a joke, it wasn't funny in any way that I could understand and they clearly put too much effort into it if they were trying to do it. make a genuine sequel with new Godzilla monsters, so why did they add everything else?
Maybe it was some kind of artistic experiment, some group project done by a bunch of really talented and crazy people and they lost the cartridge somehow or maybe they were intended for some random person. to find out, it was all useless guessing, as far as I could see, there was only one way to figure out what to do with this game was to play it to the end, maybe just maybe there would be something in the credits, an explanation. by the creators as to why they did this or it could be something much more cryptic and strange, maybe even something horrible.
Before I could get a good look at the dimentia board, I considered replaying the trance to see if the Red Monster would look at me again, but I decided against it to keep moving forward. I was also a little worried that backtracking might make the game even weirder. The dull music of dementia sounded a lot like the music of Saturn, except played more slowly on a piano-sounding instrument like most of these new ones. themes that feel dangerous and suspenseful while listening to the music I looked at the dementia board, this time there were four boss monsters in space Godzilla commands Gigan and Barragan were surprised that this time there were two new Touhou monsters, but the best surprise yet was to come the quiz began. level here list of results in the same format as the last quiz 2 1 can you swim? answer yes reaction happy to do it you like the fish answer yes reaction sick three can penguins fly answer no reaction sad because it can turn in all directions there was no Clarification of what cara meant by that so I just guessed answer no reaction surprised do you breathe oxygen? answer yes reaction funny face number eight six does it taste good when you bite a woman?
I don't know who came up with this question but I really hope they get mental help answer no reaction upset seven it's night where you are answer yes reaction strange face number six eight do you like cats answer yes reaction confused nine is wet answer yes reaction angry ten have you ever broken a bone answer no reaction happy eleven do you like your job answer yes reaction hurts 12 would you like a new monster answer yes reaction strange face number 11 and I wasn't entirely sure at the time which face meant new monster but I couldn't resist answering yes, just to see what would happen, the result was mind-blowing, the game took me back to the board and I had a new playable monster in the form of Garris since I was a child.
I always wanted to play like Garris ever since he. it was mySecond favorite Godzilla monster and I also never really liked the moth. I move my new piece of angurius over the level right next to it, eager to try out my new monster before I get to the level description, now talk about ass in gear. A bit using the up and down buttons you can choose whether a jira stood bipedally or crawled on all fours it wasn't a big difference but being able to stand was useful in boss fights and crawling sometimes helped dodge obstacles and attacks .
He could punch and kick like Godzilla, but he didn't have a tail whip. Instead, it had something much more interesting: the ability to curl up into a spiked ball of death and roll around you. He could still take damage, but it was reduced. There is a good way to remove enemies from the stage, but. Unfortunately, doing this also depleted the energy bar, but the spike ball was not his only special ability. When you press start it would shoot a beam of energy from its mouth, it looked like the Titanosaurus' solar attack and if this was a gimmick it could have been inspired by the roar attack from the Ataris fighting games Godzilla is also worth noting is that when playing as Angurius, the level meter fails judging by the life and power bar.
I'd say it's now level 10 below, as you might have guessed from the level. Icon of these levels are green palette swaps of the floor and background tiles of the Blue Mountains, but what immediately caught my attention was the water that has a transparency effect, that's even possible for an NES game. I know Super Nintendo could do it, but I've never seen a transparency effect in an NES game. Green Mountains' music was played on the same instrument as Blue Mountains, but the melody was totally different. It was a very simple song with many abrupt pauses followed by a loud note each.
Anyway, in a few seconds I did the usual walk around the level and again there were no monsters or anything, but very soon I reached a cliff above the water, there was no nowhere else to go except into the water, so I went, the transparency of the water did the trick. A little harder to see but tolerable. After diving in I encountered two new enemies, a giant piranha and some kind of spiky bottom-feeding thing. I liked the piranha because I could easily tell what it was, it was a sensible enemy design that would appear in a real game and there were very few enemies like this, they didn't take many hits to kill but they were quite annoying and could significantly reduce your health if they got close enough.
They also tend to travel in packs, as is the case with bottom feeders. They are easy to deal with, they swim along the bottom of the screen towards you and are easily smashed with a spin attack or jumping. In this screenshot you can see me about to run over one of them and there is a pack of piranhas behind after surpassing that level. I move Godzilla below the blue castle icon. I started the level and got a title screen with the unforgiving text. Cold, the level itself looked like a castle dungeon made of blue bricks with rows of identical white statue faces on the walls.
These statue-like faces had a permanent expression of horror on their faces. There was also a flickering static grace that didn't really obscure my vision. but it added to the very unsettling atmosphere of these levels, the music was a 12 second loop of low vocalizations from a choir, it sounded very familiar to me every time I played one of these levels, I had this sudden horrible feeling of anxiety. that the further I progressed in the level, the closer I got to something indescribably evil. There were no enemies, but these were some of the longest levels in the game.
I only played one level, but it took me seven minutes to complete. I did not do it. I want to admit it at the time, but I realized something while playing the blue castle level, this game has the power to make the player feel certain things and I don't mean in the sense that you get irritated playing a shitty game. or you get nervous. By scary in a game, what I mean is that certain events in this game can instantly make you start feeling something that I know sounds completely crazy. I don't blame you for not believing me.
I also wouldn't believe any of this if I didn't play the game, but there was something very, very, very wrong with this game and I still don't know how to explain it, so it was time to fight the replacement bargains, even though Barragan was originally the monster smallest in the game, its replacement. it was the biggest, it was so tall, in fact, that the ground was noticeably lower and Berrigan's head barely avoided collision with the bar at the top of the screen and it was so terrifying. Lee was as strange as he was huge, you might wonder how he attacks without arms, well it's the most powerful kick in the game, but his other fighting technique is much stranger: first he throws a cloud of pixels at you that freezes you, then he returns to the right quarter of the screen and extends. a huge Gatling gun out of his abdomen may seem fun to you, but it certainly wasn't to me when he was playing.
This attack is almost as annoying as Guy Ganz saw it and Barragán could not have been unbeatable if he had used it constantly, fortunately. he only did it twice while fighting him, once you unfreeze you can run and start damaging the weapon, dealing extra damage to him. This helped me destroy it and then it was time to play the type of third level I decided I was going to use. a Garris to fight Manda on Gigan and then fight the space Godzilla as Godzilla, was appropriate before entering the battles. I will describe the third level type, the Arctic, the Arctic is exactly what you would guess from the name, a frozen tundra with some watery segments the music reminded me a little of the northern hemisphere from Donkey Kong Country in 8-bit form a song which sounds very dangerous made me think about being trapped in a tundra and freezing to death there were two new enemies in this stage the first was a creature frozen in a block of ice, they blocked your path and you have to use the heat ray to thaw them out of the ice .
They look a bit like a smaller version of Nagashora only without the eye, when released they crawl around strangely. movement and pushing you back doesn't cause any damage but is a bit annoying after dealing with the ice man. I kept walking for a minute or two and found a stretch of water. I jumped in and this time managed to get a screen cap. showing how water splashes when you jump to see how they programmed it, but it's pretty impressive. Another interesting thing is how the screen changes focus when you dive. Here you can see the other new enemy, a little thing I call Walker with spikes that they walk towards. and explodes randomly or instantly if you attack them sending spikes in all directions the spikes don't do much damage but they got me dangerously close to being hit a few times oh speaking of the holes in the water the game is a platforming element pits without Bottom line there were none of these in the original game as it was strictly an action game but the pits were a nice addition after returning to land I ran into a very unexpected mini boss but guma The Walrus guides you I know. this game had some obscure monsters to start with, but wow, not that I'm complaining, it's a pretty cool cameo for an underrated kaiju.
Mokuba's fighting tactics were very simple, he had a freeze ray and could attack you, he wasn't very challenging but certainly more entertaining than the matang go mini boss in the original game one really interesting thing about mikuma he said he doesn't die when you defeat him, turns tail and retreats. This was the first time I saw an enemy monster change direction let alone retreat. I tried. to chase him but he disappeared after I got into the water, poor bastard and that's enough for the Arctic. I'll talk about the man to fight next, without mentioning the previous one, but the music that played during the new monster fights is reused from the themes. in fact, in the games so far the themes have been the music of Taipan asaurus Azura vile aunt smelly music orga Barragán / mo team like music manda music by Varun SpaceGodzilla music by mecha

godzilla

as for the fight manda was a quite cunning opponent when he realized that a tactic was ineffective. immediately changes to a different one.
Manda used quite a few tricks like spitting fire, biting and the most irritating of all, restraining, it doesn't mercilessly drain your life like Guy Gans' cutter, but it was for farm and it was a stronger attack. One last thing you should know. What I thought was cool was that a dragon appeared during the fight to help me. Manda crushed him easily, but he was still cool after I killed Manda. I played an arctic level to get health upgrades and then it moved on to Guy. Replacing Gan when the fight started. He was very confused because there was nothing there, but there was going to be a Titanosaurus like fight and pathos, just at the moment when he would have returned to the map, a piranha appeared on the screen, but it was not there.
For a long time, as soon as he appeared, the speaker made a deafening screech and I played. I flew again and cut the poor fish into pieces. That's a way to put the player on alert. That abrupt entrance scared the hell out of me and I was out of breath. My adrenaline was pumping, which in retrospect was a good thing because Knock Again was one of the fastest and most relentless opponents in the game. Knock Again was difficult, but my new skills were then. Girish helped us settle the score. This was an incredibly intense fight, not Gauguin's attacks.
It consisted of some sort of laser that spewed blood from its mouth and slashed downwards. I was expecting some hellish variant of the buzzsaw attack, but luckily there didn't seem to be any. The howl attack was invaluable in defeating him. I would have taken more screenshots. The fight, but I really had to focus after that, there was only one monster left to defeat Space Godzilla, as I mentioned before. I used Godzilla for this fight. Godzilla's fighting technique was quite frustrating, but I admit it's a very clever idea. Godzilla would use his energy. to create two flying crystals that would reach the ground and turn into crystal needles.
These needles not only prevent you from reaching Space Godzilla, but also allow him to constantly recharge at full energy and explode with a fully charged deadly Corona ray until you break the SpaceGodzilla spell. He would eventually drain his own energy needles until they shattered, but if he waited for that to happen, he would probably lose a lot of life. The heat rays actually seemed to revitalize a needle, so he had to use physical attacks when it finally got close. enough to hit the space Godzilla, it wasn't easy when I hit him, he hit me back, just like the hard space Godzilla does everything in his power to push you to the left corner of the screen so he can create more needles when this ends.
I only had about five bars of life left, but it didn't matter because I didn't need to fight anymore. I needed to run, here we go again. I decided at that moment that I really wanted to see the end of this game. It's scary like these. The levels could sometimes be Ida beat them to pass. I decided that no matter what happened, no matter what the game showed me, I was going to make it to the end, and I also made sure not to say a damn word while playing a chase level from here. For this chase, I tried a Garris since his rolling attack followed me to move faster than Godzilla or Mothra.
The chase started like the first two, except there was a river of blood beneath the ground. I was starting to get the hang of it and the extra speed of the spin helped me gain an advantage over the red monster, especially since I didn't have to worry about a power limit and could keep rolling endlessly like in the previous levels with water, the ground would inevitably become I stopped, so I rolled towards the blood, to my surprise, the hell beast did not follow me, it simply stopped at the edge of the ground and grimaced. I guess he can't swim, I thought to myself, so I dove into the blood and kept moving, there was nothing around. but I knew something was up to it, the chase wasn't going to end that easily, could it be that something else had to appear and sure enough I heard the roar that sounded slightly different and the monster was following me in a new water body it had.
I had no idea it was a shapeshifter after the chase reappeared it started having the difficulty I expected being submerged it slowed me down putting myself and the beast at about the same speed the only thing that would keep me alive was quick thinking and reflexes that I found some bottomless pits in which Minds were floating. I guess if you hit one it would damage you and knock you down considering how fast the Red Monster swims, hitting the mines would be an instant kill so I tried really hard to avoid them but that wasn't all I had to take into account.
Halfway through the chase: the Infernal Beast revealed another surprise: a tentacle formed from intestine and topped with a set of clawed jaws emerged from its mouth trying to attract and devour me.I barely avoided both. a tentacle and the mines, but I realized that the Beast was getting desperate because the chase was almost over and about a minute later, on a piece of ground that served as an exit, I jumped with all the mines I could gather without breaking my controller, the bee. I screamed in rage and jumped out of the Blood River and made one last attempt to crawl down, but this time I escaped its reach.
I fell back onto my bed and breathed deeply, satisfied with another successful escape now that I was: the fifth world of entropy. Chapter five entropy in the original game, the six worlds were Pluto, ironically, despite being the smallest planet, Pluto was the largest and most diverse world in the game, entropy had a different design but was equally huge and diverse, the music on the board was played by a violin instrument. Melody that started out sounding sad and then becomes more like, I guess I'd call it distorted. It made me feel depressed and nervous. It's not something I want to listen to while trying to sleep.
Strangely, none of the levels from the previous worlds were present here. instead, there were eight new icons, the bosses this time being Megalon Batra and Mecha

godzilla

, as always. The first thing I did was go to the test level for another facial interrogation, but when I got there I noticed something different instead of the usual dumb Ghidorah. music was the theme of the password the change of music seemed to be intentional because after the first two questions at the beginning the questionnaire began to take on a darker tone questionnaire 3 1 do you like ice cream? Answer yes weird face reaction number 1 - do you like it? clowns answer yes reaction strange face number 10 3 is the time that slips through your fingers answer yes reaction strange face number 2 4 do you regret anything answer yes reaction pain 5 some people deserve to die answer without reaction strange face number 3 6 en safe going out at night the answer yes reaction strange face number 5 7 you have trouble sleeping at night answer yes this reaction strange face number nine eight have you ever killed someone answer without reaction strange face number seven nine do you want to kill someone answer without reaction angry ten are you really achieving something? no reaction answer weird face number four eleven does life have any real meaning no reaction answer love twelve do you like Mothra no reaction answer maniac I knew the last one was going to be a game related question? but I had no idea what the result would be.
I answered honestly because, like I said before, I never liked Mothra. Nobody liked playing as maater in this game. There's a good reason that every time Mothra gets hit, she's knocked back to the left corner. of the screen and she sucks at fighting because her attacks are very weak, the only benefit Mothra had was being able to fly over obstacles in some levels, so I answered no and Face actually responded to me not only with the manic expression but also with text . bad, I was taken back to the map screen. I was surprised to find that Godzilla and Angurius had disappeared from the board, leaving only Mothra's face.
Needless to say, I was angry, but there was nothing I could do and I'm willing to bet even if I had said yes, how I'm stuck with my mother anyway, show your face and take your face off, that breathed. deep and prepared to explore. There were two paths you could take across the board. I decided to take the one below. It turned out to be a good choice for reasons I'll get to momentarily. The first world in front of me was a forest, so I started there almost immediately. I had a strange feeling that there was something in this level that seemed even stranger to me than the previous one maybe it was the pitch black background I've always been afraid of being in a forest at night, something about all those trees makes me Feeling surrounded and vulnerable and the fact that I was trapped as Mothra didn't help playing the game's previous worlds as Godzilla, it gave me a sense of bravery in being able to control the king of the monsters. to handle almost anything in my path, but that's not the case with Mothra, I have no sense of strength or security, I'm just a weak and easily overwhelmed insect traversing the unknown back to the level where the music had new instruments that sounded like woodwind instruments followed by slow rhythms.
The drums and ringing of bells gave me the feeling that I was intruding into some dangerous place. It really shouldn't be after a while, I encountered the first enemies of the stage or at least assumed they were enemies, instead they were strange and beloved, long-legged creatures. to attack, they were just walking around doing nothing, I went to approach them and they ran away and I thought about shooting one with an eye beam to see what would happen, but it seemed wrong that their creatures were harmless, so I ran over them and continued by the level. About halfway through I encountered groups of deer-like animals and also new creatures, a sloth-like creature with a beak climbing a tree, and clothed furry beasts feeding on the deer.
It was very surreal to see these creatures interact and feel like I was playing a video game, but instead of traveling through a forest in another dimension, the creatures ignored me for the most part, although the Raptors attacked me when I got too close or if I attacked them first, I know I shot one of them. To help one of the deer creatures escape they scratched me, but the confrontation was easily avoided by flying to the top of the screen, after that I had to choose whether I wanted to play the levels with the hourglass or the television screen, I chose the staircase. when I got it was not at all what I expected when I pressed the button to start a level on the TV screen like I normally would this screen an animation appeared there was also music in the background which was the silly Ghidorah music that he used to play on test levels.
This bothered me a little because it was so strange. I also found it a little creepy. It's a shirt that looked like this when I was a kid, after starting the animation you could go back to the board. Pressing any button after that, I have no idea what to expect from the rest of these icons. Then I tried an hourglass icon. I was somewhat relieved when a real level appeared. It was certainly an unorthodox looking level, all brown with floating time measuring instruments. the air and the giant grandfather clocks in the background the music was the same as the dashboard screen very early in the level I found something else I wasn't expecting to see original enemies from the game and not only that it seemed to be a whole fleet of them and the tanks Yellows that were normally mobile could now move.
I took some damage but there was nothing I couldn't handle, but the most interesting thing about this level was the colored hourglass items. There were three of these, one of them a blue hourglass. made time slow down and fill the level with enemies from the past to a red hourglass that made time speed up and fill the level with enemies from the future and three a green hourglass that set time to normal speed and filled the level with the original enemies of the game first encountered the blue hourglass, as stated, the game began to slow down and I saw the enemies from the past, which were five different types of prehistoric animals.
I don't know much about prehistory, but I think all of these enemies represent real animals. The level moved on to another segment and I encountered the green hourglass and then fought the original enemies again. It was the same five guys, so I didn't take any screenshots, but in the last segment I ran into the red hourglass and the enemies that must have done it. I've been from the future now, whether or not the game showed me 8-bit renditions of creatures that will actually exist thousands of years in Earth's future. I have no idea, but with that thought in mind I found this particular segment very disturbing and it was made more tense because everything was moving faster so the future enemies bore a striking resemblance to something I saw in a book once called Troodon Man another It looked like some sort of organic spaceship.
There was only one of the fifth type of future creature and when it appeared everyone else ran for their lives leaving me alone to fight it. He could fly, but his goblin didn't really move and his only attack was shooting a bolt of lightning from his face, he was still surprisingly powerful and I guess could be considered a mini-boss after defeating him and he left a health boost that restored health. and the energy he had lost fighting him, which was convenient, it seemed like he would need all the help he could get to defeat this world with just Mothra after the previous stage. called Time Warp, the next stage seemed to be a toxic waste dump, as you can see, the place seemed dirty and inhospitable, the music was a short loop of an ambient synth song, listening to it made me feel like I had smelled some myself toxic fumes and it was messing with my head the whole time I even felt like I was drowning while playing this level, all the enemies seem to be mutated to some extent and in the screenshot above you can see green mummies with bird skulls jumping out of them. the waist to spit. projectiles there is also a brown cow skeleton monster with spider legs halfway through the level.
I even saw one of the forest deer that was alone and what I saw was that it was drinking toxic waste from a barrel with an anteater-like tongue that it was wagging. I walked over to try to stop it, but then this flock of skull birds came out of nowhere and started attacking the deer. This scared him and he ended up running off the ground towards the toxic waste. I feel bad about that, one of the birds bit me, but I quickly regained health by killing them all, they were quite weak. I kept going through all the levels and entropy, this was probably the most normal, as there was little deviation from the formula of moving forward and smashing things in the original game.
I found more creatures. through the level like tentacles and some kind of deformed thing with human teeth. I didn't feel like provoking them into a fight, so I kept flying near the top of the screen, so now I dealt with the occasional flock of birds. and then at the end of the level there was a large blue-green lake and there I encountered another mini-boss, a kind of monster with a long neck shaped like a whale skull and it attacks with a projectile in its mouth and, when charging at you, I could also go under. the water and quickly emerged from a different location, he was harder to beat than the time tunnel boss and he had a lot of health because it must have taken me three minutes to defeat him and he let out a very loud noise when he died and then I sank back into the water while leaving the screen on the dashboard.
I went to the closest level icon that I hadn't seen yet, which was a white tree, since I assumed the level was a winter-themed color change of the forest stage, but unlike the normal forest I didn't feel unnerved upon starting. this one, I think the music had a lot to do with it, it was a soft and calm song, it almost sounded romantic, it relieved quite a bit of stress and the forest itself looked much less sinister covered in snow than the one I traveled through. The first segment I enjoyed the atmosphere for four minutes when I suddenly realized something.
I hadn't seen a single creature since I started the level where the animals soon after I left the screen and the next segment started in the second segment I was still in the winter forest but now the music had disappeared and it was starting to look suspicious but then I reminded myself that there were other empty levels in the game and that this was probably another one of the hoes, then I heard something familiar, it was the 12 second looped music of The Relentless Cold Began. I could feel my heart sinking when I was faced with this horrible sight.
It was a whole group of dead deer covered in snow, judging by the blue-black tone of their skin, they must have all frozen to death upon closer inspection. I was missing body parts now I was scared but I still had to continue before exiting the level. I was really hoping to see something similar to the previous forest animals in a living state and sure enough I did, there was a preacher very similar to the sloth's beak, except this one. some white fur and it was more of a beaked gorilla it walked very slowly when I saw it but I was happy to at least see something alive however it didn't stay that way for long a group of birds of prey that must have sensed something plus he was still alive he ran in from the right side of the screen the beaked gorilla didn't stand a chance it's one of the Raptors immediately pounced on him he opened his hind legs this winter The Raptors acted very differently from their temperate relatives while that the other Raptors only attacked while hunting prey or when provoked, the winter Raptor seemed to have gone crazy, they attacked everything in sight, one ran from one side to the other scratching at nothing, even the noises they made sounded different, sharper andenraged when I left the second segment.
I even saw two Raptors fighting to the death, both were covered in wounds and one of the Raptors had been blinded in one eye. I took a screenshot but didn't stick around to see who won the fight. I only had to pass one more. segment before I could return to the dashboard screen, but in this segment I was no longer in the winter forest, but on a very empty grassy plain with a bright gray moon in the sky, the pleasant music of the winter forest, part one, I had returned and immediately I started to feel scared, this is going to sound crazy but it's the absolute truth, this game created this level from one of my memories, nothing.
I arrived at a lake and then the moon came down from the sky and began to hatch like an egg as it made a curled up humanoid figure fell into the lake as half of the moon quickly disintegrated. I heard a splash as it hit the water, then a moment of silence, then the screen began to shake and a new creature emerged from the water and so I was introduced to a monster. I call the moon beast, this was the only screenshot I took as I focused all my concentration on winning the fight, it was the hardest fight but stronger than any of the previous bosses, its creature would have been difficult to defeat with Godzilla and with Mothra, it seemed almost impossible.
I guess I consider myself lucky that the beast didn't have an attack like Guy Ganz saw because if he had he would never have won this. I barely had three bars of health when I finally killed this abomination, but what happened next is not what I would call a reward for keeping my promises and suppressing this memory for years, but it seems I have to let off some steam. This is a very painful memory for me, but the game already knows this and I think you should do it. I'll also tell you the important parts because I don't like to remember this experience unless I have to go back to when I was in high school night, a girlfriend named Melissa was suffering from some kind of mental disorder that caused her to go into the episodes, when was in an episode, she would stand or sit perfectly straight and still and her face would instantly lose any expression it had before speaking very clearly without any hint of emotion, when she was done she would start to shake and sometimes bury her face in her hands and remain silent for several minutes.
I really can't convey the feeling she gave me in words and I won't try. He had to see this in person to understand, but despite this, she was a very kind person and I cared a lot about her. We liked to hang out in a field at night looking at the stars but one night she didn't tell me anything. not at all she just looked straight at the moon shaking I tried to talk to her but she suddenly jumped I got up and ran towards the traffic. I tried to stop her, but I was too late.
She ran over her and died that night. I looked straight into her eyes and her wheels went over her neck. That sight has always haunted me. I know the game knows it. about this because after I defeated the moon beast, this happened in chapter 5 entropy part 2, after that the game went back to the board screen, it was all I could do not to burst into screams and my My hands were shaking so much I could barely hold the controller. I knew the game was going to test me if I kept playing, but I had no idea I'd get this far or be able to do what I just did.
I could feel my brain going crazy as I wondered if he was the King. I just read my mind, that didn't seem possible, but what other explanation was there? I could no longer deny what now seemed obvious: this game is alive and can not only establish some kind of mental connection with the player, and yet stop playing, I do not. I don't know if it was the game that plagued my mind or just my stubborn curiosity, but even with the above revelation, I really wanted to see it through to the end, even more than before I defeated the terrifying dementia, as it could even be dangerous.
I knew that if I stopped playing I would never be able to stop thinking about it. If you tried to restart the game, you could go back to normal. How many people ever get to witness something like this firsthand but are the only ones who can take screenshots? Everything as it was, this was the experience of a lifetime, but I still couldn't take any chances with my health. I had the TV remote right next to me, ready to turn off the TV in case I felt I was in danger. Danger and if that didn't work, I would pull the plug from the wall or just run out of the room.
Surely that would be enough. Whatever powers the game has, it seemed to be limited to what it can display on the TV and whatever. his mental connection could do the latter was what worried me. I still didn't know what I was dealing with so I wasn't going to underestimate him. I took a break for a few minutes to calm my nerves and then I was back to normal. game and speaking of TVs, there was a TV screen icon right under the white Forrest that I just left and because the first animation was so strange I thought I would try another one to see what would happen, although I was expecting the same animation I actually got a totally different one.
The music for this one was Neptune's board music, I guess since he's a fish man and all. I can't help but wonder what the point of these things is. There was one more icon on the TV screen, so I thought it must have a unique animation. I was going to make sure to see what it was before I left Entropy, but then. It was time to move on to another level, the golden brick icon was the closest so I went to that and started on a golden maze level, my health and power recharged, I'm not sure how or why but I was glad I wasn't heading into the unknown.
Almost Dead I also noticed that my goblin Mothra had shrunk to half her original size. The music was a slow, sinister drumbeat with female voices that lasted for about a minute. The golden labyrinth itself was an anomaly. I'm not sure how to level this. I would have played it if I was using Godzilla and Eris because flying seemed necessary just to get around this place. Another thing that caught my attention was that when you go left your monster actually turns and faces left, it sounds stupid obvious, but in the original game. you were only supposed to move to the right, so when you tried to move to the left, your monster ended up walking/flying backwards.
This level was apparently gigantic in size because every time I thought I had reached an ending, do it or I thought it was going to end. When I started, I found something totally new, things like lava, new enemies and statue faces, and I found a statue face in a dead end with a wide open look. The night Melissa died, she had an expression where her face looked exactly like that. The whole time, even when she was hit by the truck, she still had the same expression. I can't help but feel like something is really watching me from behind the screen when I watch this.
I really didn't want to be reminded of that. It was no longer night so I left the statue almost as soon as I found it. I needed to find my way out anyway, which turned out to be no easy task. It felt like this level stretched forever in all directions. I must have wandered around the level for at least 15 Minutes before I finally saw something, there was a creature that wasn't gold, apparently the only one of its kind in the level that lacked any kind of ability to float like the other creatures, it just He walked back and forth on the platform, but it didn't take long.
After I found it, but a flying machine swooped down and grabbed it and then flew away with it. The machine apparently hadn't seen me, so I decided to follow it to see where it was going. The creatures, the machines stopped in a room with a large cauldron like object in the center the machine floated towards the cauldron and dropped the creature into it the creature emerged emerged from a hole in the side of the cauldron now adorned in the same gold color as everything else the machine flew away I'm not really sure what to make of this but I'm glad I found it because I found the exit shortly after when I got back to the board I realized the bosses hadn't moved absolutely.
It's a little strange, but then it didn't bother me. Planning my route through the entropy more easily, there were still two new icons to explore the Indigo Cliffs and a black version of the maze, as there were only three black maze icons that were surrounded by bosses. I first played on the indigo cliffs, it looked a lot like blue. -green mountains, the graphics of the level had the same trashed look, there is also a color change of the clouds and the moon due to the toxic waste dump, the music and if you can call it, it was just a deep thud, a One of the first things I found was These multicolored creatures with large heads emerging from a small cave at the peak of the ground made a synchronized shaking sound and walked to the right in a group after leaving the cave, ignoring me as they had no other way. to follow.
I followed them on their route more and more. More emerged from the cave until the group had around a hundred creatures. Finally, the path ended at a cliff. I was surprised to see that upon reaching the cliff, all the creatures began to jump towards the abyss. I've seen enemies walk off cliffs before, but I've never seen NPCs commit mass suicide in this disturbing way to start a level. I continued flying over various strange animals like the one shown here, another group of multicolored dolls jumping up and down only to be caught by large birds that I'm pretty sure our sprite versions of the giant condor from Godzilla vs. the sea monster had defeated. some of the condors in battle, but it bothered me that these dolls seemed so eager to die if the game itself is alive, perhaps the creatures in these levels.
They are also alive and some have very unhappy lives of this behavior is an indication but what causes them to do this in the back of my mind I almost consider the bright moon in the sky to be the reason why the end of the level they I saw yet another group of bobbleheads marching towards a large monster and being devoured. This was starting to disgust me, so acting on impulse I fired my rays at both the monster and the bobbleheads. I destroyed the cave, the monster got angry and ran between the remaining bobbleheads to fight me although it lacked ranged attacks, it was relentless but there was no match for me.
I was in the home stretch now up to the bosses. My plan was to go through Batra first and then through Megalon, after that I would watch the last TV screen play black. maze before fighting Mechagodzilla and finally going through the chase with the beast from hell. I was curious to see if he would return to a new form, but when I first hit Batra, I expected him to start out as larvae, the music being the battle of fir'aun. theme whenever the game includes a new Godzilla kaiju with more than one form, that other form always appears in an otherwise inexplicable game, it's quite surprising in its consistency and accuracy with the new kaiju bosses, the fight started with A simple larva, Batra fought in a similar manner to how Mikuma did by charging back and forth and occasionally shooting lightning bolts from her horn during the fight, I noticed that Mothra's combat capabilities had altered in my favor as the i-beams dealt twice as much damage as originally now that they were.
As strong as Godzilla's punches, poison powder was similarly enhanced and also did something nice that actually hit an enemy when you used it; In the original game, although Mothra could fly, he couldn't fly over an opponent you would get. I knocked him back in the same way as if I just ran straight at them, which was extremely annoying, but I couldn't change direction and fly anymore, which was a big help because fighting a Batra Mage is a lot like fighting a Batra Wizard. a clone of Mothra, although Batra is clearly faster. and stronger was no longer hindered by his slow-moving larva form, a Bhadra Mage was a fearsome opponent, although he lacked the horn beam, he now had a new, more powerful eye beam.
Patrick had changed direction just as I could, so this battle involved a lot of twists. and flying around was a lot of fun to be honest, so after defeating the Batra house I was excited to see what Megalon would be like, but first I went through an indigo cliffs level and shot a lot of the creatures to get the health boosts, so about Megalon. his music was Gigan steam makes sense since Gigan was his battle buddy in mega lines 1 and so far just the appearance of the feet looked a lot like mo war but faster with more weapons, he starts charging with his exercises.
I like to fly from one place to another. around him, which seemed to really bother him, after a few seconds he would take a step back, turn around and start spitting grenades, those were a nuisance because they bounced when they hit the ground, finally, he started tospam him with his beam, he was only going straight forward, so it was easy to dodge him and then shoot him with I beams in general. I described him as strong, persistent but foolish. Now I was approaching the end of entropy. I just took down Megalon and turned on the last TV screen to see what I got this time.
The result was unpleasant. The music for this gruesome scene was the password theme. I couldn't understand why this animation was so sinister and violent compared to the other two. The entire game seemed to become more malevolent to end Entropy. I started to feel exhausted. It's hard to describe like I suddenly got tired when I wasn't before, it was just the tension of everything that happened in this game that got to me, but who knows, the last type of level in entropy is what I call the labyrinth of shadows that was the stage. recolored from gold to black, the music was an evil vibe similar to the relentless cold loop but distinctly different, the music was my first sign that this level was going to be harrowing.
I traveled through the labyrinth for about a minute and noticed that there weren't any creatures floating around it. It was a strange transition from the golden labyrinth that was overrun with creatures to this level that had nothing at all, but then this could be a good thing. , maybe there wouldn't be any obstacles and I could beat this level with Then the screen went dark and I immediately snapped out of my days, a few seconds before everything had gone dark so that the only thing I could see was Lamothe or a goblin. I couldn't tell where I was going and ended up frantically.
Running towards the walls I heard a noise, the sound of a crowd running down a hallway and along with the rush came roars, loud roars that I would describe as something like a mad dog the size of an elephant screaming in fury and I realized that whatever was making this noise there was a lot of them there was something there but it wasn't until I did some screenshot edits that I could see what my pursuers looked like but at the time I couldn't see where they were or where I was. I was literally running blindly and their horde of beasts finally caught up to me.
All I could think was no, when I saw my life bar rapidly decreasing, the monsters had reduced me to half of my total health when I saved myself, the light came. Again and the attackers were gone, so this level was revealed. Find your way out before the lights go out and a group of monsters maul you to death. I was in panic mode and was now moving as fast as I could while trying every path I could. I found an exit while playing through the level, the lights went out a total of three times, the second time I would have been dead meat if it hadn't been for one of the statues with wide eyes, as I stayed close to it, the monstrous It seemed like everyone avoided me until the light returned to the statue.
I somehow drove them away. I was safe as long as I stayed close to the statue, but at the same time I thought that when I found the exit, the shadow labyrinth turned out to be much smaller than the golden labyrinth. which only took about six minutes to reach the end, but before the exit there is a row of hallways leading straight down with no exit, once you entered you either made it to the exit before the monsters caught up with you or you died, luckily I only managed go out. one more boss, Guardzilla. I started the battle and got something unexpected, not only did my life skyrocket to one hundred percent again, it seems to do so randomly, but instead of a replacement boss I was fighting Godzilla, but any Godzilla fan worth their salt can imagine that. .
This Mechagodzilla started out as fighting a clone of Godzilla, but his costume burned up after only three bars of life. Typically, the transformation only occurred at the midpoint. At this point, it was like fighting Mechagodzilla in the normal game. It felt nice to fight one of the enemies from the original game for a change, although it wasn't exactly like usual, it also had a rainbow beam and finger missiles, which prevented me from doing the old trick of cornering it in the corner and hit it with eye beams in a place where you can. I didn't realize it, but it was always a cheap trick anyway, but after cutting his health in half, something we heard started happening, his sprite started to glitch in the same way Gazzara had in the first world. , after a few seconds, the failures.
It started to form a new form and therefore the game had not created Mechagodzilla and I discovered that this visual error was somehow related to the game recreating things, the human face on this one gives it a very strange look, it was one of the monsters The replacements were the strongest and had the most firepower shown here is his mouth beam that I got caught in, although he was a bit stronger he was also slower than his original counterpart, he couldn't jump as much. I won the fight by constantly staying out of his a line of fire bombarding the machine with poisonous powders flew over it one last thing to do the hell beast chase oh boy I might as well get this over with.
I thought the entropy chase ended up being exactly what I feared a maze would be. level all the other chases, although difficult, were extremely simple, you just had to run to the right and not get hit, but this took away all the simplicity, there is no telling how big this maze would be or where the exit was and now you don't I just have to constantly go back to find the way out. I also had to stop the red monster from killing me in one hit and for those first 30 seconds it didn't appear, but I knew it would and as soon as I started picking up the beat I heard, a loud flapping of wings, it was in the form of flight, He flew on bat wings and was as fast and relentless as ever.
For the reasons already mentioned, this was probably the most stressful of all the final chases and as such I had to keep my concentration on the game and not take screenshots, However, I caught one of the Red Monsters doing something I found interesting. I managed to lose him by going a different path and he was apparently waiting and was blocked from attacking me. through one of the organic walls of the Red Labyrinth or so I thought I tried to pass through the wall for a second before opening its mouth and destroying the wall with its intestinal jaws in those brief milliseconds, but the monster was held back could have been the key to finding the Exit, the way out was long and complex, but from what I remember it went up and then returned to the left.
I'm still not sure why I chose a particular path, just a lucky hunch. I guess I was sweating profusely. but my luck had saved me once again, I hope it doesn't end before finishing the game, there were only two more worlds left, the penultimate world was called Exodus Six, this in the brief moment before the transition between entropy and Exodus. I was hoping to get Godzilla and Angurius back when the board appeared. I saw that my wish was half granted if Godzilla had returned, but knowing Garris, I would have preferred both, but despite Hank Garrison's excellent skills, what Godzilla shows if I represent him between 2x2. said that two templates of different colors, white and pink, a pyramid will resemble some modern buildings and two other icons that I could not understand at that time, the new bosses work, Umaga Goro Soros in naka Dora, whom I was afraid to see and very much less fighting Godzilla. back was excited again and eager to explore, but still cautious.
I moved on to the test level first, just like before, this time the faces, the questions were more random than ever. test for one, do elephants breathe? answer yes, reaction, weird face number two: have you ever been sexually abused? by a family member answer without reaction strange face number six three has anyone ever been raped answer without reaction strange face number 8 4 is green your favorite color answer without reaction strange face number 10 5 is the computer the pinnacle of modern technology answer yes reaction weird face number 4 six you're a tough guy answer yes reaction weird face number twelve seven you can fly answer no reaction weird face number nine eight you can stand on your head answer yes reaction weird face number seven 9 you hate raccoons answer no reaction confused ten do you feel guilty answer no reaction strange face number eleven eleven would you like a new monster answer yes reaction surprised twelve will you miss me answer yes reaction sad I was happy to have a new monster but that last question bothered me will you miss me? his face was referring to when I finished the game.
I thought that since the reveal of the nature of the game it was truly otherworldly. I wasn't sure what to make of the face or anything else in the game, but something about that last statement gave me a genuine feeling of sadness. face as I thought about this the game was back on the board I had a new monster but I had no idea who the sprite was supposed to be it had a slight resemblance to Rodin but the head was totally out of place I moved this mysterious newcomer to an icon of white temple and started the level when I started the level this screen appeared with the text find the gem, presumably instructions for beating the level after I first saw my new playable monster, a dark blue furry creature with wings of bat and a skull. like a face named Solomon and I also discovered that my path was blocked by a beam of light and a small pillar with a plaque.
I figured this beam of light was blocking the exit, so I have to find the gem and drop it on the plate to deactivate the beam, how exactly was I going to do that? I didn't know there was nothing in the original game that required you to find an item to beat a level. He would have to find out when he got the gem. The direction I had to take was left, so I preceded Solomon. He was an interesting monster, to say the least, he was capable of flight and a heat ray, both of which turned out to be very useful.
He could also kick and slash with his wings, but he couldn't. The music of 't duck the white temples' was a vocal chorus or a video game approximation of something like that, it's hard to describe but it had a very sacred sound. It wasn't long before I started running into waves of strange new enemies that I didn't know about. Little to stop me, I ran past them while slashing and received no damage. There was a pause between each wave of enemies. After killing about ten, there were none for about a minute and then the next wave would appear.
Within five minutes I noticed holes in the floor and ceiling. The guillotine-mouthed creatures were flying rapidly up and down these crevices, so I had to time my jumps carefully because I didn't know if I would get another chance. Fortunately I managed to pass. without a scratch, I was just lucky, I guess after that I found myself at the end of the hallway facing some kind of mini-boss monster that moved fast and had some kind of projectile that shot in four directions but I killed it pretty easily. Using Solomon's heat ray when the battle ended, I had my gem that was inside the creature's head.
I found that I could pick up and hold the gym by walking towards it and holding B. I made the long trip back to the start. I deposited the gem. At the plate that deactivated the beam, I exited the stage and was shown what was probably the strangest Soliman monster-related quirk every time you completed a level or fed Solomon to a boss. This screen appears. I have no idea which one is still the best. 1973 It means that neither the date nor the phrase have any meaning to me that occurs to me and I have spent a lot of time thinking about it.
The next level I played was one I call Bronze Pyramids. I used Godzilla and found that he had leveled up to twelve since I last played as him in Dementia. The Bronze Pyramids were pretty average as far as these levels go, but the visuals were quite interesting, almost unusually colorful and animated, the music was appropriately Egyptian in style, slow and eerie sounding. I walked around the level fighting various enemies, none were too difficult, although the ants could be a pain if you ran into too many at once. My favorite enemy was this giant reptile that I found halfway to the end of the level I reached. a giant pyramid and engage in another mini-boss fight, although this one was a little different because I had to fight two of these monsters at the same time individually.
I could have easily taken them on, but fighting both of them at once was challenging, but I spent everything tricking one of the twin beasts into roasting her jumping brother when he uses his flame breath after defeating the twin monsters. I noticed something strange after returning to the board. Now I was able to move my monster spot anywhere. The normally unbounded board Godzilla could only move three spaces each turn and Maater could move five. I tested Solomon a little more, so I moved his piece to one of the brown pillar icons with colored dots and startedthe level when I reached the level.
Then I realized what the level icon represented, totems. I was greeted by two of them right at the beginning. The music had a Native American sound. He seemed to be using the same instruments as the entropy forest. It was noticeably different but equally foreboding. I walked around for three minutes with nothing else in sight besides the totems and I figured it out until then, but I wasn't expecting another level with nothing alive after all the activity and entropy walking through all those multicolored faces that this baffling level left me with. like they were watching me only about ten minutes into Exodus.
He was already halfway done after returning from the totem level. I tried one of the TV screens to see how strange they were, this time even stranger than before, apparently the music. Since this was the Uranus theme I went back to Godzilla to play another level and this level was a big surprise, it was a normal city level, the colors were gloomy but it was still a big shock, this was the kind of level that I would wait. I saw it in a Godzilla game. I was a little mad because I didn't get to play it sooner.
Music was the theme of the land. I found it strange on an appropriate level for a Godzilla game coming out so late, but there's no point in crying. milk I guess I moved Solomon to a gray-green icon that turned out to be a giant high-tech laboratory with some sort of many mechanical drones in this level, but Solomon went through them just like with the white temple enemies, the music was an En a gritty industrial beat, there was also a strange flying cyborg enemy that was annoying because it would fly away when you jumped to attack it.
Also interesting were these large stasis tanks that contained some sort of monster inside, as he supposed that sometimes monsters would wake up and shatter. Through the glass I tried to get past the stasis tanks as quickly as possible because the monsters inside proved to be vicious little bastards upon being released. At the end of the level there was an elevator that I used to go down to the bottom of the level where The Exit was on the path. Security drones shot at me. I couldn't get out of the elevator, so my only defense was the heat ray.
The last tube of the level was something simple that I call the heart temple for obvious reasons. Nothing but a large crowded hallway. With floating enemies shaped like human hearts, they are unable to deal you any damage, so what you would do is run around the level smashing as many as you can to get all the power-ups. By going through these levels, we recover the life meter. up to the maximum and I would really appreciate these levels later, the heart temples music reminded me of a circus tune, it was too happy sounding, which gave the level a really strange feeling after having seen all the types of levels I chose to fight Goro Soros using Solomon. the music for this fight was Sora's theme, it was during this fight that I realized that Solomon is overpowered, a single well aimed slash can take down up to four health bars from the enemy because of this, the fight ended very quickly, blood , Soros didn't have projectile attacks or anything else that could match Solomon's deadly claws, but I followed the fight long enough to see if Gore Asaurus would use his iconic kangaroo kick and I was overjoyed when he did, even though I knew Solomon It was the fighting ace he used.
Godzilla to fight ku mana just for variety. I briefly considered using Mothra, but of course Godzilla one out kamongo was also a simple opponent, no heat rays or anything, he attacks by jumping on you, stabbing with his jaws and also uses his signature web flow to paralyze you. Once he's caught, Kamongo sometimes takes the opportunity to attack, but it's mostly a way to buy himself some time, like Gazzara cornering himself until time runs out. His music was a smelly song with Goro Soros and ku manga defeated. It was at the end of the Exodus. before fighting Ghidorah, there was something I had to do expecting a lot of it, but for documentation purposes, I took a look at the other television screen, this is what it was.
I don't think there would ever be much reason behind the TV screens if I guessed, I'd say it's a random, uncontrolled manifestation of the cartridges' abilities or maybe this all makes perfect sense for the game, who knows anyway, Lord Faucets' theme was Saturn's music, it was time for the opponent he had been fearing to hit Ghidorah, although he had gained courage from Solomon's combat advantages. I was still nervous when I started the fight. I was immediately confused. My opponent was not Gazzara. I defeated the imposter with a few hits and then War didn't appear. So it made sense to get to na. ki Dora I had to fight all the previous replacements first and fight them, I did.
I made my way through them until I finally reached na ki Dora, which was a door right away. I stopped laughing. I destroyed it with just two cuts. The music stopped. and I thought I was going to get back on the board, but the battle wasn't over yet, the real fight was against the Chimera, a monstrous hybrid of all replacement beasts. This was by far the most difficult boss, but his every attack would end everything. life pairs per use, while the attacks against him were greatly weakened. Solomon Slash, for example, was now lucky to take half a bar of life from me during this battle.
I gained a lot of appreciation for two things, the boss fight time limit and the heart temple, if it hadn't been that way. For those two things I might never have defeated this boss to defeat this giant. I came up with a strategy. He would switch between Godzilla and Solomon when one began to dangerously lose his health. She would take him through the temple of the heart while he fought the chimera. the other, I should count my blessings, a chimera couldn't regain its lost health. One very interesting thing about the chimera was the colored sections of its body corresponding to the different parts of its body, so each body part effectively had its own life meter, the head was invincible as long as the other parts were present and would always be the last to be destroyed, besides being difficult, it was also the longest fight so far.
I tried to remember how many times the timer took me out of the fight, but I lost. Count around 13, I finally destroyed all the components except the head, which was now flying on its own at incredible speed. Come here, I fought well, but I was extremely determined and once he was reduced to a head he no longer had the power to defeat Solomon and me. The heat drove him into oblivion and then Chimera was no longer so exhausted after that prolonged fight and worried that it might affect my performance in the doomsday chase level. The headquarters icon was replaced, but not by the face of the beast from hell, but by a crucifix.
I was completely stunned. I wasn't excited to see the hellbeast icon again, but there was only one good thing about those levels: they were predictable. I had a basic idea of what to expect, but now here I was at the end of the icon. was completely different, what it meant and why a crucifix. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I tried to start the level with Solomon, but I couldn't. I received this notice that simply said that Solomon cannot enter here. He didn't say why, but I think. perhaps it has to do with Solomon's demonic appearance, since Solomon was out of the question.
I went with Godzilla instead, once I saw the level the crucifix made sense, the level was a graveyard, this was some kind of trick, the last level had always involved running away from the demonic beast and I wasn't going to be fooled into thinking That this would be different, so I started running, but after a minute without interruption, my speed decreased, it was during this time that the music caught my attention. I knew it sounded familiar when I first heard it, but it took a while before I realized what an 8-bit rendition of the prayer for peace from the first Godzilla movie was.
A very sad and powerful song even in this form at both. Minutes into the level I encountered something I wasn't sure how to react to. My first instinct was to run with this blue statuesque being just floating in place and I felt compelled to look at it for a moment since it was a tomb and it was floating above a chapel. I guess he was some kind of angel who looked after the dead. It gave me a strange but warm feeling. I wouldn't say happy, but I felt like I was at peace in a way. I had never seen this being before.
It seemed very familiar just as I was about to leave the beast from hell appeared and its presence warped the music into a terrifying discordant screech, transforming the level desecrating the tombstones as a new terrain composed of blood-soaked bodies appeared. I could feel my heart now. beating out of control he had no chance of escaping with the monster that was closing in on him he lunged to kill him but the angel stood in his way the demon roared and began to scratch the angel's leg and tears of blood flowed from his eyes he wanted to save him angel but There was nothing I could do, I had to honor their sacrifice and run, so I ran through the hellish landscape as fast as I could, the Beast soon caught up with me still swallowing the body of the angel whose legs had been torn off and this vision made me My terror will turn into anger.
Now I found myself hating this horrible monster. I had no doubt that it was pure evil and I wanted it to die when it came to the end. I remembered how he responded to my insult in a trance. I spoke to him and told him that you are going to pay. This was his response. I had no idea how I would follow up on that threat and nothing could have prepared me for the horrors of the final world. Zenith Chapter Seven Zenith and here we are. In the final world I don't like to talk about this part and it still bothers me a lot, but it's something I have to do so I can put this behind me.
People deserve to know. At this point, I was well aware of the unnatural nature of the game. nature, but Zenith was different from the other worlds, while the others were certainly strange and sometimes terrifying. The world of Zenith was like a nightmare and I didn't have to go beyond the dashboard screen to get an indication that something was wrong with Zenith. The first thing I noticed was the blood red texture of the dashboard and the music, which was a creepy tune with a hiss. I noticed I had Solomon and Garris back and felt better for a second, then I moved to the right to see who my enemies would be.
This time it was Destoroyah and Ghidorah, but judging by the icon, it was a different Ghidorah than the original who was on the ground instead of flying. The grotesquely detailed pinkish-red icon also caught my eye. I couldn't say what I was supposed to. being and I was afraid of finding out by going back to my side of the board I decided there wasn't much option but to do my usual routine and move on to the test level before doing anything else I wasn't prepared for what happened I jumped When it disappeared accompanied by a version terribly distorted password theme looked as if the face had been the victim of some terrible mistake.
Is this what he meant by "you'll miss me"? Did you know this would happen? My thoughts stopped dead when I noticed the screen was glitching and seemed to fall apart while I was idle, so I quickly ran out and when I got back to the board I had somehow gained a new monster. They hadn't even asked me if I wanted one. I tried to select it. What the hell is happening happened, the behavior of the game was scaring me and I hadn't even started the levels yet. I couldn't understand why I was given a random new character and then denied use of it, but at the moment there was little it could be.
I finished and saw the last TV screen, there was no animation, there was no dead music, every instinct I had was telling me to stop playing and just turn off the game, and something in the game itself might have been trying to warn me about what horrible that this last world is. But then, every step of the way I was forced to give up. He couldn't do it now in the last world. Also, after teasing me with Melissa's memories, I felt like the game owed me some answers. I realized that the first level was a red temple, so I would at least be familiar with the level graphics of nothing else and went with Godzilla, the monster I was most familiar with.
Godzilla had been reduced, the level and score meters had disappeared and the faces of the blue temple statues had returned, the music was similar to the blue temple as well strange and disturbing vocalizations. I tried to cheer myself up by thinking well, if this level is like the blue temple, then that might mean there are no enemies to deal with. How wrong I was after a short walk, all the statues I found. It started to glow and a group of beasts from the Labyrinth of Shadows came to attack me as they came from the right of the screen.
I had to fight my way through them. This battle tested my reflexes, but thanks to my speedI pierced the beasts. It issued health boosts after dying, which helped recover the damage they had caused me, however, as I continued down the hallway, the statue's eyes glowed again summoning another wave, it seemed to be the same amount of them, but this Maybe I was less prepared and took more damage. I had passed through four of these waves and reached the end of the hallway where I warmed the last of the monsters over the edge and making a chasm at first it seemed like I had reached a dead end, but after the statues I stopped.
A path of glowing bricks slowly appeared before me. I followed the path that kept me moving to the right until I stopped at a wall where I had to go vertically, jumping ledges along the way. I found new creatures and some kind of strange shrine that had a statue of the hell beast and some other creature I didn't recognize as I walked along the path took a downward direction. I had to carefully aim my jumps to avoid the enemies that were plentiful in this part of the stage, they didn't have many attacks, but they could easily push you over the edge of a platform.
At the end of this tunnel there were some small platforms floating above nothingness. I landed on one to the left of the screen and then something came down from above, it looked like the Blue Angel from the cemetery, except now it was red, it had a skull face. Any of the pleasant feelings I had from the Blue Angel were not present with this red and, as it floated around his eye sockets, it began to glow just like the statues that summoned monsters to attack. Surely this was not the same benevolent being I encountered before. He must be some kind of imposter.
The battle was stressful as I started with almost half my health and had to deal with multiple opponents as well as the threat of gravity to do. Things were even worse when the red angel suffered damage, some of the panels fell until only three remained, but my luck had not yet run out just when I thought it was all over, I hit the red angel once again and it turned out that the last hit was all he could take just as the Red Angel completely disintegrated, the game instantly returning to the top board. I moved from Arthur to the stage closest to the red temple, which seemed to be a confusing mess of letters spelling kill, and began playing as I suspected all along.
The level graphics were made of jumbled letters and Mothra, like Godzilla, was reduced to half its size. I started to suspect that all the Zenith levels would be like this, the background music was terrible like someone put in all the sounds and the NES was able to turn them into a blender and then put them back together into a song, I had to turn the volume down because playing His Mothra made avoiding enemies easier, but they were determined to attack me anyway. The first enemies I saw were Ganz, the headless guy, and later. There were hybrid monsters created from previous bosses like the biollante.
The headed things seen above had been five minutes and I didn't see anything new and the level changed to another segment. The music changed from loud, annoying beeps to something much more ambient. and the menacing graphics of the level also changed now looking like a blood soaked junkyard boy, everything in this level was read, it made it disgusting to look at the enemies multiplied in number while still following me and they became more and more difficult to avoid and at the end of the level, a situation reached a climax when the swarms of monsters merged into a huge terrifying hybrid.
Once I got over the initial shock I figured out how to destroy this thing by constantly shooting eye beams at the group of Hedorah that made up its head if you attacked anywhere else it would regenerate damage even with that knowledge this was an extremely difficult fight. I'd say it was as difficult as fighting the moonbeast, if not harder, its most common attack was lunging forward with arms covered in Gigan saws. and the swords, if touched, would instantly drain health when finished, the remaining monsters collapsed in a heap, then they and the ground beneath them began to disintegrate and sink towards the bottom of the screen as I returned to the board, I thought to myself same.
So far the game has been putting the easiest levels first, if that's the case how bad will the rest of Zenith be with two levels down and three ahead of the monsters and I had taken our foothold on the nightmare world? Zenith was deciding what action to take next was more tense and difficult than ever, but in the end I had no way of knowing what the next level should be like or how well my monsters would be prepared for them, so I only have the option of interpreting with the icons of the following levels. Before me was the last level before the boss battles which obviously represented some kind of volcanic area with lava and open flames.
The middle icon I still didn't understand, except that it looked vaguely fleshy like an organ of some kind strangely oversized too. The one that was closest and about to enter next looked like thorny vines covering a pool of blood. I assumed this would be a level with rivers of blood like the dementia chase level itself. I went with Garris target because due to his rolling motion he would have the fastest speed while submerged the level I call blood lake seemed to be waiting for rivers of blood accompanied by vines covered in thorns that were scattered along the sides of the ground.
The music was quite faint but I could hear a distinct drum beat and a few other instruments echoing a lot and at times it sounded like someone was beating a drum underwater. I was disappointed to see that Angurius had been shrunk just like Godzilla and Mothra had been apparently all levels of Xena would be like this. I felt less safe with my giant monsters, not so giant anymore. I walked without interruption for just a minute until my paths reached a dead end. There was a huge gap between the ground I was walking on and the ground to the right of the screen.
I continued walking to the right but due to the enormous mass of brambles in the path there was nowhere to go two creatures with sliding membranes on their arms and mouths like lamprey or perched on spreading vines and calling at me like a crow does with an invader of their territory, another disconcerting display of possible sentience on the part of the creatures in this game, if it is accurate to refer to them as part of the game, that is, I descended into the blood, sinking slowly to the ground, aquatic enemies were everywhere parts and were difficult to avoid.
The black shark in particular was very aggressive and difficult to deal with, but luckily I only found one as the scene became increasingly crowded. I swam to the surface and discovered that it was full of floating corpses. Creepy, but at least they're not. A threat or so I thought until they all came to life and jumped on me, they were trying to take me down and were draining my health as they did it, they all attacked as a group and when I took one off another would jump on me. I from behind had to curl up into a ball and roll to get them to loosen their grip and when they did I quickly retreated, it wasn't long before I reached another land path.
A note about the brambles, you can stand on them, but it causes pain and you can also destroy some of the vines, but only the thinner ones. I had to destroy several vines in addition to dealing with more enemies. I was interrupted by a screen, the screen was only active for about 30 seconds and then returned to In the level I was faced with another dead end and a pregnant humanoid creature was hanging from the top of the screen by a spine/umbilical cord. Instantly, the creature's belly split open from the inside and the lower part of its body tore and fell away.
In the river below the lakes of blood the boss was revealed. He came flying towards me making a shrill scream. I was forced to retreat. The bat was a very mobile boss, fast and difficult to hit. As it retreated along the ground, the monster opened its mouth and I launched. a shower of needles, I jumped on them and managed to hit it on the head and it started flying out of my reach as the bat flew, it shot a stream of fire from its eye sockets and started trying to hit me with the flames I rolled down. the ground, which drained my power but put us at the same speed.
A psycho repeated about three times until the monster was defeated with most of my health depleted. I returned to the edge of the level and the large bramble blocking the exit was gone, now there were only two levels left to go down, who goes down this time. Godzilla Mothra and Angurius had completed a level, leaving Solomon and also the mysterious fifth monster. I tried to access it again, but with no luck, I chose to use Godzilla again for the next level and Solomon for the last, the penultimate level was what I call the organic level, which was the most visually unpleasant of all, from the beginning I could Seeing that the graphics were strangely different, the atmosphere was gruesome and foreboding with the addition of the loud, droning music.
I feared what I would see at these levels. Only a few seconds passed before something appeared. Yes. Things are difficult to describe. Most of this level. Everything had this eerie semi-real look. of the enemies seem halfway between real animals and deformed chunks of blood with teeth. It's also worth noting that all of them were considerably larger than Godzilla, and while most weren't very intelligent, each of them took around 30 hits to kill because of this. It was a better idea to run from them than fight, it was never clear exactly which direction to run in most levels, it involves going right to get to the exit, the path of this level was mainly walking down to the edge of one . platform and jump to a lower one, there was no way to make sure you were on the right path nor any apparent means to get back up to the higher platforms if necessary, plus certain enemies acted as if they knew you had to jump to down and I would stand on the edge of a lower platform waiting for you when this happened.
He would have to walk back and wait until the monster left. As I moved forward, I came across platforms stacked on top of each other with a small gap between them that looked like a maze. This meant that he couldn't jump and that made escaping from enemies quite difficult. Fortunately, the only enemies capable of traversing these mazes were the four-legged beasts seen at the beginning of the level, which increased the difficulty when the long tapeworm called for the monsters that rose up between the platforms and trapped you, the only attack What they responded to was the heat ray that would make them retreat, but this was costing even more energy.
I couldn't afford to do without the heat ray for long while trying to avoid the abominations that inhabit this level. I found that if you stay idle in one place for too long, the ground tries to absorb your monster. Figg was about four minutes before the end of this level. He is making me physically sick. The tension was reaching The fact that I had to look at all these disgusting sights made me want to vomit. I almost paused the game and looked for a bag, but I was able to keep it together. I also found a trick at the end of the level, although it was too late to He said that to do something really good, if two different species of monsters met face to face, they would fight each other and leave me alone.
I didn't cause this intentionally, it just happened, finally in the end it was time for another boss fight. He was certainly ugly, but not as hideous as I feared, but more important than dealing with his appearance was defeating him, and since I had less than half my health bar to begin with, there was no room for error, I was glued to the ground. when I first saw him, but after 10 hits he detached himself from the ground and started floating, he moved fast and unlike the Blood Lakes boss, he was not impeded by any type of gravity, he was even able to fly at through the ground without any collision effect.
He used this to his advantage, floating under the ground and randomly jumping up to bite you, but stopped after a few well aimed kicks to the face, a pink area and his upper jaw was a weak spot, too many hits. over there. causing him to twitch uncontrollably, the new strategy was to rapidly float up and down while he moved back and forth across the stage trying to constantly keep his jaws pointed at me. Health was becoming critical at this point that I released the heat ray which I didn't have. defense in the last part of the battle the monster had lost its head running quickly from one side to the other and gnashing its jaws.
I ducked under him and then struck when his back was turned. 20 more hits and it was destroyed one last level to finish and then it was the last level. Do not doubt,I selected Solomon and entered perhaps a little too quickly. The last level was definitely the peak of disconnect between what the NES was graphically capable of and what this game could create. The music also caught my attention. was one of the only songs that appeared more than once the horrible screech of when the beast from hell appeared in the cemetery when I started it there was already an enemy prepared to attack a centaur wielding a whip and I was not alone when I started fighting several More centaurs appeared coming from both sides of the screen at the same time, it was too much to handle Solomon's flight saved me from taking too much damage at the beginning of the level, the centaurs followed me but seemed unable to jump after escaping the centaurs.
I noticed gaps in the ground as I tried to avoid the sword-mouthed enemies that jumped mid-flight. I approached the surface of the lava and a creature emerged and tried to grab me. It wasn't successful, but I was very surprised by maneuvering carefully. Be necessary to avoid instant death here, as new enemies appeared, the level soon became very difficult, many of the problems came from burly red demons that stood on top of tall, narrow mountains and spewed fire. I overcame them by waiting until they turned their backs on me and hitting them with a flying kick, we drained them and fell into the lava.
At that point I noticed that I wasn't gaining health from killing enemies, not all of the ground was stable, at one point the ground was reduced to small pieces that slowly moved to the right. some of them would sink into the lava when landing on them and there is no way to know which ones would sink and which ones not being so close to the lava there was the threat of lava creatures and this was very frustrating. I also felt very hot which made it difficult to concentrate, if you have ever had a heat rash it felt similar to me stopping periodically to drink water because of it, this was almost certainly due to the game and not my imagination , but I kept pushing the thought out of my mind. head I didn't want to think about it at the end of the stage I found the boss emerging from the lava he was a rival noticed with an unholy roar as he walked towards the ground I saw how gigantic he was several times the size of Solomon he was about to fly and attack him when he opened his mouth and let out a large burst of fire.
I had to fly to avoid the flames and then get close enough to the boss to shoot a heat ray at his face, causing him to stumble. backwards, if he had not stumbled backwards, he would have continued moving to the left until he forced Solomon into the lava, since there was no more ground within reach of him. The Beast had to wait between uses of his fire breath, as it seemed to cost a large amount of energy. I used this time to attack it, but fire was not its only weapon and I had to be careful with the monster hitting me with its claws as its health decreased, it moved faster and the battle felt like a tug of war between the two. . monsters on this dirt bridge after about 40 hits he was defeated falling backwards into the lava where he came from and then the final stage was completed I asked who was down to two bosses and a final encounter with the beast from hell for some reason I thought He Dora would be easier to beat, so I faced him first, He Dora's classic battle music from the original.
I faced off against the new King Ghidorah. King Ghidorah was as powerful and ruthless as ever. He instantly attacked him with gravity rays that were more. More damaging than Godzilla's heat ray, it became a struggle to constantly beat Cadore at every opportunity to prevent him from using the attack, but Ghidorah soon saw through my tactic and began using physical attacks, also hitting with each of them. It was impossible to get close enough to hit it, but I had the idea to wait for it to lunge with one of its heads and immediately attack it with the heat ray.
To my surprise, the heat ray had destroyed Key. Dora's middle head was alone. A few seconds before I realized what this would lead to and sure enough, King Ghidorah was using the power of the bug to transform into King Ghidorah mecha, but what really surprised me was the sudden change of music that I had heard before, but it was not so. From the original NES game, it was from the game Super Godzilla during the fight with the mecha King Ghidorah. The first attack of the mecha King G Dora was the deadliest, the machine hand, very similar to Gigan, saw it, mobilizes the monster and quickly drains the health bar, fortunately before.
Ghidorah could do a lot of damage, time was up. I would have to defeat Mecca King Ghidorah quickly so she could stop him from using the machine hand, so I sent Solomon to fight him. The two monsters were evenly matched in strengths, but Solomon was faster and by slashing and radiating heat without pause, the cyborg monster soon met his end with Ghidorah defeated. I was brought back to the board. I now outnumbered the enemy by four monsters to one and victory seemed soon within reach. The base icon had changed to blood red. color I could feel a hatred emanating from it I started the fight against East Roya with a Garris and the music was the same as Key Dora when the fight started the destroyer was in microscopic form after one hit it transformed into the juvenile that had few attacks and It was also easily resolved the fight became serious once the destroyer entered in aggregate gaining the use of big guns and the micro oxygen beam and the garrison attack that had been very useful until now became useless because Destoroyah me He constantly attacked with his big arms.
When I tried to use it for this part of the fight, I had to rely on brute force just before time ran out. The destroyer had changed into its flying form, which Angurius was not prepared to fight upon returning. I fought the flying form with Mothra. which seemed appropriate, Mothra was weaker than Ingress but much better equipped to dodge and counter the attacks of the flying destroyers, so the fight was in my favor, however, mecha Ghidorah's fight music began to play. and the destruction changed to its final form sooner than expected, drastically changing the Mothra's attacks on the tables were doing very little to destroy the ax and Ida was moving furiously to avoid damage as she waited for time to run out, although it was almost impossible to beat the destroyer with Mothra.
She still had three other monsters. The final form of the destroyer was very tough to take. The damage and heavily armored enemy would not be defeated without a long fight in the latter part of the fight. I wasn't using much strategy, I just attacked as brutally and as fast as I could in his last part of the health destroyer. I tried one last counterattack. I attacked an energy beam from his chest, I don't know how powerful it would have been because just before he could fire, I punched him in the chest cavity destroying him and that was it, the last kg boss disappeared in the middle of all the There was I briefly forgot the excitement, but there was still one last thing to do before the game ended, watching the icon hit me again like a ton of bricks and I froze for a few minutes.
He had come so far to get to this point, but he was terrified. I really didn't want to know what that last encounter was going to be like before I could allow myself to think about it more. I moved Godzilla and started the stage. You are here now. This is the end. The last and then. it was all over when the screen changed it was nothing just Godzilla and a black screen I walked back and forth I shot a heat ray nothing happened until I heard something that sounded familiar beat chapter 8 finale part 1 oh dear god that was my first thought upon realizing that I would have to fight, read the creature that tormented me for almost the entire game, how could I fight something that can kill with a single touch?
It seemed totally impossible, thankfully red couldn't kill anymore, but despite that, this was still the hardest battle I've ever faced in this game or not, had I had a real understanding of what I was getting into before. start the fight, I never would have done it. Very soon I realized what a horrible mistake I had made. I clawed at Godzilla and when those claws went through him I felt it. I know it's common for people to wince when their video game character gets hit or loses a life, but this isn't like it was genuine physical pain when the pain hit.
I paused the game and suffered the actual injuries, but it felt like my shoulder had been scratched. I had seen and experienced a lot of unpleasant things at this point, but the game that caused me real pain was where I drew the line. Yes, I would be disappointed. that I couldn't see the end but the risk was no longer worth it. I was about to get up and take one last screenshot and then turn off the NES when I realized something else I couldn't get up from, I was paralyzed. I sat down, the only muscles I could move were my fingers and thumbs while a terror set in a new message appeared on the screen to scream but only a faint choking sound came out.
I desperately tried to move my body but nothing did. I was looking in all directions and then looked at the computer, somehow the computer was taking screenshots of the game on its own when I started the fight. I still didn't know how or why something in the game must have been causing it, since the reading could have heard what I was saying. I tried to beg him to let me go. From here things start to get confusing as I was under extreme stress at the time, but from what I can remember, I said: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I insulted you.
I didn't mean it I didn't know things would get so serious please let me go if you let me go I promise I'll never tell anyone again or turn the game on again please and Red replied just one will survive the declaration. Wouldn't it be clearer if I couldn't kill Red and then he'd kill me like an idiot. I had played with something I didn't understand and now it could cost me my life. Struggling to move and accept the reality of the situation. There was only one way to get out of this alive. I had to kill Red.
It all happened so fast if it weren't for the screenshots. Maybe I wouldn't have remembered any of this, just like in the chase levels. Red was moving at a horrible speed. speed, there was barely enough time to process a thought and therefore no time to form a strategy I had. Relying solely on my wits and reflexes to make things worse there was no way to predict what kind of attacks Red might use, so I constantly had to be on the offensive and defensive. I felt every hit Godzilla took, they all hurt. I tried with all my might. to avoid damage, but every attack I dodged left me vulnerable to another and the pain only got worse after he jumped on me.
The red eyes began to glow. I moved as far back as I could and ducked but there was no way to dodge this one when this really hit me I screamed I screamed so loud someone else in the department should have heard me but they didn't just looking at the picture hurts making me remember the burn incinerator I paused the game because it hurts a lot but red I resumed the game to attack me again which made me furious. I immediately counterattacked with a heat ray again and again until the power meter decreased completely. I wanted Red to hurt like I did right before time ran out.
Red transitioned into his swimming form. I didn't think the timer would still affect a battle like this. I'm grateful for that because he gave me a few minutes to collect my thoughts and decide what to do next. I chose to fight the Reds alongside the forms with the monsters I had encountered them, so angurius was next, it probably wasn't such a smart idea but it's what I did. I jumped and the heat turned red in the face and he moved off the screen where I couldn't reach him, then a wave of Big Mines started falling from above.
I felt this was unfair, so I yelled, "If you're going to cheat, why did you let me use the controller?" and then he came running at me from the top of the screen down, damn it, and I wouldn't even be able to see where his next attack would come from. Red continued to attack from random angles. I was constantly moving to detour around him. Another 40 seconds passed and Garris was almost gone, but together we had forced the reading on his flying form. so it was Mothra's turn. Deciding to fight the red with Mothra was a terrible idea.
Mothra was instantly overwhelmed by red and the life meter was devastated in just 15 seconds and once Mothra's life was limited to bars, red did something I didn't see coming. I reached out to Mothra and after Mothra was there, I felt an agonizing pain as if he was crushed to death. Mothra had been killed by my stupidity and I would share the pain. It was a short transition from battle to board, but it felt like an hour of pain. combined with not being able to moveIt was driving me crazy. I wanted this to end so badly. He never wanted anything that much, but he still had hope that there was only one monster left that he could restore to full health by facing Red in battle.
Soloman, if there is one. Of them he had the opportunity to save my life now it would be him Soloman apparently had some history with red since when the fight started this dialogue occurred red took me by surprise again by immediately burning me with his demonic fire for the second time. He hurt me, it actually worked in my favor as Solomon started a full life, he still had some desperation, but now the red one had exhausted all of his energy and he could no longer use his ultimate weapon. He would now die when he neared the end of his life bar.
Red turned his entire body to look at the screen and flew up and crashed down in an attempt to crush Solomon when that didn't work, he tried to devour Solomon like he had BA, but this time he wouldn't eat me. Monster, I thought. He had won but something was wrong. Red wasn't sinking to the bottom and I still couldn't move. Red was still alive. Eighth final, second part after his apparent defeat against Solomon. Red had rebuilt his body into its final gigantic form, transporting us to a Burning Hell in the process. It was reminiscent of our first meeting, except now the scenery, much like Red's true power, had become very real, the music had burst into a loud, shrill sound, a furious drum of death facing the Reds with an incredible amount of health, mine.
Death was imminent Salomon was my strongest monster, but not even he stood a chance, it was like trying to fight a mountain in a matter of seconds. Salomon was overpowered and fell to the ground as Red crushed him to death under his foot, the sadistic demon taking his time as he snapped Solomon's vertebrae and ribs like dry, brittle twigs. I realized that he was enjoying our pain. This has no remedy. I'm a dead man's choice, but sending another monster to his death we were all going to die. I just hoped they would forgive me after I tapered off.
Red's health by a minuscule amount in giris was also erased. Red unleashed a hail of burning needles into his face until he collapsed, another moment of indescribable agony and then nothing as my ally vanished. I asked Red how he knew my name and then he said it. for years she was being tortured for something no one understood now i knew what it was now me why they made fun of me for Melissa's death and how the game knew it because he knew it because he was responsible and this time he was going to kill me. I was taken back to the board to put Godzilla in his final position.
There was almost nothing left on the board, just the icons of Godzilla and Red and the fifth monster in the middle of everything that was happening. I had completely forgotten. I still tried. again to select him I cursed, I begged him, I screamed at him to do something, anything to help me, to no avail, there was only one thing I could do. He knew that Godzilla didn't waste any more chances on the resting bed, but maybe maybe now that all the other monsters were gone, the fifth monster could finally wake up. I managed to select the creatures icon and pressed the button as fast as I could to shake it like it was desperately trying to move, that's when the red one decided it was over.
Playing fair and before I could activate the monster, he went to deliver the killing blow paralyzing my heart, my hands began to go numb and unresponsive, but even when my vision was fading, I still tried to press the red button, surely I was breaking a of its rules. but he must have thought that if he could kill me quickly then it would be too late for the consequences to matter. Would have won. I was wrong. Red's power was being challenged by another force, which prevented him from killing me and when I regained my vision. I saw a familiar sight.
Is that you? How is it possible? Red told me he killed you, but how can I stop him now? The birds stirred something inside me. He wasn't going to die like this and he had more to fight with. because more than just my own life I had to save Melissa in the world she inhabits with her help the fifth monster was finally unleashed it was time to end this once and for all together we would eliminate this damn Hellspawn Acacia s-- it was By By far the strongest playable monster in the game, it had to be if we had any chance of surviving.
His hit involved turning his hands into blades, which caused tremendous damage, but Red had more than enough health in the end, this would go down. by sheer skill with one Oh strike red was destroyed his body disintegrated and sank below accompanied by a sore of triumphant music slowly the effect wore off and I was able to get up again we had done it Melissa's death had been avenged tears of joy ran through me In the face, I burst into tears. I cried harder than I had in years, maybe my entire life, everything that had happened, everything I had discovered, and now the game was coming to an end, but before she and the others left, Melissa had something to say. tell me you're a bilac, I'm Zachary and it's been three weeks since the fateful night I played the NES Godzilla game since that night; immediately after I turned off the NES, once I could start walking again, it was the first thing I did. was unplugging the NES, removing the cartridge, and placing them in separate sock drawers.
I looked at the computer. All the screenshots you saw in the story were saved. I backed up all the images to a flash drive before shutting down the computer. in case after that I fell into bed and fainted instantly, it was not a restful sleep but one of complete exhaustion, it felt as if no time had passed before I woke up again and what a day was the first thought I I remember it came to mind. What the hell happened last night? I thought about it for a moment until it occurred to me to contact the person I got the game from to begin with, Billy, so I called him and told him to come to my apartment, which he did and I showed him the screenshots and gave him a very basic summary of what had happened.
At first he thought he was playing a prank on her, but he soon realized that was not the case. Once he realized that this was real, he was speechless and did it. Of course he hadn't rigged the game at all and had no idea about any of this, so they asked Billy the obvious question, where did you get it from? I got the simple answer from another friend of mine who I trade games with, he claimed. He told me that he was a trustworthy person and that he had never had any problems with the games I received from him before, so Billy called him, but when we told the story to this guy, he was shocked and surprised like everyone else, except that he abruptly hung up on us .
He clearly wasn't going anywhere before Billy left that day he asked me if he wanted me to take the cartridge and throw it away. I flatly denied it. He asked me how it was possible that he still wanted to keep what I told him. I told him I needed time to think about it. and it was that Billy and I haven't talked much sense even though I told him this isn't the case, I get the impression that Billy thinks what happened with the game is his fault after he left that day. I did a lot. from thinking that it was very difficult for me to do anything else I really couldn't stop thinking about the game there were so many unanswered questions what was read was Melissa actually in the game how did she get there why did all this happen with this game but the only question that stopped me many nights was reading he said he had known me for a long time how since then I can't shake this feeling of being watched the game made me ask myself questions about death and reality in ways I never wanted to think about it.
I'm not very sure of anything anymore. Constantly thinking about it soon began to have a negative impact on my life. I just didn't care about anything else at the moment compared to all the other day to day activities. It seemed completely pointless, they decided I had to choose between one of two things: try to play the game again or destroy it. I tried several times to convince myself to try the former, but I never got any further than plugging the NES back in by simply touching the cartridge. It made me remember all the pain I felt during the fight with Red.
I wondered if maybe replaying the game could cause something terrible to happen. I didn't know anything about how this game worked and it was too risky. I could handle another round of the game anyway so it was time for the other option wanting to get some fresh air I took the game with me and drove to the lake planning to throw it away and I approached the lake with a cartridge in my hands I looked down That and I thought about Melissa, if what she had experienced in the game was truly genuine, doing what I did might have been the only way to save her from endless torture in a way that this warped game might have saved her soul, damn it, once that thought came.
I knew in my head that I wouldn't be able to destroy it, so I sat on a bench looking at the lake for about an hour and finally decided on a third option: selling the game on eBay. It may be selfish, but I promise. you and that has nothing to do with money. I don't care how much or little you pay me for this game, believe me, it's selfish because I no longer want the responsibility of owning this cartridge. I can't think about this forever and the only thing. The way I can deal with this is by taking the game out of my life, so this brings me to the main reasons why I created a summary of these events.
First, to record the details for as long as I can remember them, and second, whoever bids on this game. They know what they're getting into. I can't guarantee the safety of anyone else playing the game or anything happening, but to the new owner of the game, remember this, be careful and if you feel like the game is literally playing with your mind, turn it off for more information including images and videos of the stories told in this podcast or to suggest stories for future episodes, visit us at creepy pad on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook or email us at creepy pond on gmail. .com All stories told in this podcast can be found at
