Leonna Mayor: A Life in Racing

um I think I had about 315 rides or so, I won four on a horse called Thunderball who hadn't won for three years or something, when I first got him on I won three in a row and then they beat me. and then I turned against him and one against him again, he was my memorable boss. The horse running in front is usually, obviously, a track with very sharp turns. I think many of you know that compact, short-moving horses do well here, obviously, because they corner well. around the narrow track horses riding horses and that's not what you know I think that's the main thing we all love you love riding winners love horses and all the other parts in between are very difficult driving a lot obviously getting up a lot. early and finishing late, but yes, the horses and obviously riding the winners and making the owners happy, sprinter, I think throwing a lot of winning sprinters, yes, like fast horses, a pasture, definitely, although I have a beautiful bay, my Aventa is bay, but yes, definitely, the gray ones always stand out in the paddock and also win many of the best results.

I've always loved Sue Smith's vintage clouds. I just think he's great, he's a great horse, so he's quite pretty, a great jumper and he likes to go from the front too, I imagine it would be great to ride everything, really, you know, I still like being on racetracks , so when I stopped riding it was like what am I going to do, you know, and this developed. I was so lucky to have gotten the She probably did it from the canals. Also, I love all the teams. The Sky team is amazing. The ITV team is incredible. We have a very fun and friendly environment.

We can see resources all the time and still be able to participate in races and

racing

fields. It's amazing and I see a lot of people on the

racing

circuits. They also know me when I was riding which is really nice so I'm really lucky, you have to be really dedicated to the course. I think you have to love horses to begin with because that's how most people do. People even come here, you know, it's like having a dog, isn't it? It's not a hobby, it's not, you know? It's a

life

long commitment that takes a lot of time, but I think if you really enjoy it, you know you don't see it.

It's a lot of work because you enjoy what you do. You know, if you're riding, if you're cleaning whatever, you become friends with the horses and you become friends with yourself, obviously, with your coworkers as well, and yeah. I know it's like being in a family at the races all around, yeah, they're just amazing, aren't they? You know we talk a lot about athletes all the time, people you know who win all these awards and sports personalities throughout the year, etc., you know. I've seen Ap McCoy obviously as sports personality of the year, etcetera, but in horse racing you know the horses are the athletes, right?

They are so amazing they require so much care you know they always come to the races they look amazing you know nice shiny coats and they give it their all just yeah I think they are amazing I love horses anyway but racehorses they are the best.
