2 Nights Extreme Cold Stealth Camping In City

Mar 17, 2024
things. This one looks the plumpest. Well then put on my Dijon mustard because I've become fond of this lately. When I was a child, they said. the mustard tasted almost poisonous and now I can't get enough of it like horseradish oh yeah yum oh that's a problem as long as that holds up I'm uh yeah it looks like oh wow come on really um wait I'll just try to fix this It turns on here and it might want to work that's how it ends great, come on, I put new batteries in here. Oh, um, I picked up a couple of other battery-powered flashlights.

I'm not sure what's wrong with this one. just put new batteries in it and This is the one I used in the cave and it ran all night without problems so I'm really curious to know what's going on there, but okay, load this with an inappropriate amount of Dijon, it's so good and, Of course, it's been a few weeks since I used it. I've actually had a whole video where I can do the beer donations and this is happening right now. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the brewing nations. It's probably a long list because it's been a few weeks and there will be Valentine's Day. wishes there, birthday wishes that are probably late unfortunately, but you know I do what I can and I hate putting messages like this in a video that's me doing a house update so they always end up as a whole video

and That said, I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of beer donations.

I'm thinking about a Patreon aspect or just getting rid of it all together. The beer donations started organically. At the beginning of the channel, someone had wanted to donate. a beer and I said absolutely and I thanked him and then more people donated and I thanked them and you know, I just thank people for the beer donations, um, but I don't want to come across as begging for donations, so um. I'm probably going to switch to a patreon where people can get extra perks or behind the scenes stuff, instead of just you know, like a little name that scrolls up and I know it's complicated, with the channel, a lot of people do those sponsorships where welcome to

with steve and today we're sponsored by Campbell's Chunky Soup but we don't do that we're just sponsored like bbs by viewers like you and um I don't know um okay it's definitely time to get started . to bed because we're running out of visible light here uh with the flashlights this one I used it in the cave and it worked like all night and it worked great it's an energizing brand and it doesn't seem like it wants to do anything with new batteries so something to remember, this little chair worked fantastic, it's only rated at 80 lbs and I weigh a little over 80 lbs so I think that rating is based on a dynamic load of 80 lbs and not a static load of 80 pounds.

So that's great, he did a great job, thanks everyone for watching, if for some reason you like this stuff, consider subscribing. I know this isn't my ideal video because it gets a little boring after a couple of days sitting in a little five by five cube however um oh boy this is going to be an interesting dream tonight it's uh the floor is you know a compound angle um that's what you call it I guess well good morning um that was downright pleasant uh the floor was a little hard because I negligently didn't bring my sleeping mat, but you know I did, that wasn't a problem.

This little chair actually survived my weight load, it didn't destroy it so that's good, I'll save this for the future if I have to camp here or if I have a kid I'll just pass this on to him so I'm going to pack it here. It's around 9:30 in the morning. I really had a good time sleeping here this morning. It was fantastic, uh, there's a little snow falling right now, so that'll cover my tracks, so to speak, and literally, uh, which is amazing, um, yeah, it was a total success, I would say this little thing in a suitable situation like this.
The location does a fantastic job and it's a small space, but it's doable, right, I've slept in worse places, it's better than no shelter at all. I didn't need the heater on full blast last night, but I turned it on. at full power about the middle of the night to try to burn this propane so it's less necessary to get it out of the woods um and I'm still running it here, I don't know what's left in the cylinder up there, but judging by with the frost We could still have a third of a third of a cylinder of propane in there, so that's pretty impressive to get two days of running pretty well all the time.
I'm going to start carrying loads to the car and First things first, I'm going to bring that old broken body heater and, uh, backpack, we'll make three or four trips and we should have it all there if I didn't have to get that extra heater that I could have done. this in two trips and we'd be out of here, but I don't have to do two more, well if this packs up nice and easy and fits back into that bag I'll be very happy, oh wow, I won't. complain about that, oh yeah, look how much that friend here melted through the snow to the ground, basically through eight inches of snow and I was sleeping here and I was actually starting to roll into the heater, so, well , we're getting out of here when we did um, if I had left this like this for a couple more days, this heater of a friend would probably have melted the entire base of this thing and we'd be walking out onto the grass um, so that's when it gets a little more complicated and then you can freeze in the snow when things start melting around you and, yes, it was a nightmare getting that other ice fishing tent out of my backyard, years ago, before it was filming regular videos we had.
It sat in the backyard all winter, you know, there were fires and everything and we went to pick it up and it was there, I think part of it broke trying to get it off the ground, which is why I'm always wary of floor sheets. or putting flooring underneath because in the winter it has the potential to freeze into the ground after melting a little, but blah blah blah blah blah, I can go on all day and I won't. Just a little final look here to make sure we're not forgetting anything and I didn't see any rubbish here from other people left behind for us to take out so we're in good shape here but always take a last thorough look just to make sure I am being a good steward of the river valley and parks in Edmonton.
One of my pet peeves lately has been my hat getting caught on branches like that and being taken off. It's happened, uh. more times than I'd like it to happen, now you could say we're out of the woods, perfect and there's not too much snow on the car, it's just the light removing enough dust to cover most of my tracks, especially if it continues All day long, all packed up and I desperately need a t-shirt, that's exactly what this morning calls for, so thank you all for watching. I hope this gave you a break from watching the news for about half an hour and I guess I'll let you go back to watching the news.
