You can use more or less to control the spiciness in the soup once the vegetables have softened add three cloves minced garlic 2 teaspoons smoked or regular paprika 1 tablespoon cumin and toast for about 30 to 60 seconds until your nose smells it. smell, we don't We don't want to burn the garlic or the spices, we're going to add two cups of water here and then, you know, every time we use the sauté function, we want to scrape up all the brown bits from the bottom of the inner pot that it will prevent a burn warning from happening there, it already smells so good here that the cumin, smoked paprika, garlic and jalapeño onions are building blocks for great flavor here and you really don't need to take the time to sauté all of these things, but it will deepen the flavors and amplify everything, especially toasting those spices, so it just takes a couple extra minutes and it makes a big difference in the flavor, so we're going to add 4 cups of low sodium chicken broth here that you can use. vegetable broth, if that's what you like, you want to make sure it's low sodium because we're cooking dry

instant

pot, make sure the vent knob is pointing towards the seal, set the cooking time we are going to cook. 30 minutes on high pressure after the cooking time has elapsed, let the pressure release naturally on its own for at least 15 minutes.
