thanks foreigner Saskatchewan the weather has improved the roads have opened my friend Adam is also at this truck stop here you've seen him a couple of times he's just a few doors away I just chatted with him this morning Always fun to meet up with friends on the road. He said the highway was closed to Regina last night. He came from that direction and once he got here he looked at the application and it was closed, so it's a good thing we stayed here. I wouldn't have gotten very far and I would have gotten stuck on the road somewhere or had to turn around, so I've been here for nine and a half hours and I'm trying to get confirmation from work that I'm going to carry this load to our yard in Manitoba because if I stay in Canada and come home tonight I can leave now, I only need to stop for eight hours, but if I'm going to the US with her, because she's going to Iowa and if they want me take it directly there or if they want me to deliver it there today, like crossing the border today and I have to make sure that I am detained for 10 consecutive hours here first before entering the US because the US service and the laws there require 10 hours of rest before starting the day, so I have to make sure I'm legal for that.

I was waiting for confirmation that if we stay in Canada, we will get out of here. right away and if we go to the US and sit around for about 45 more minutes, I've done my pre-trip and everything, I'm ready to go, but, electronic records, am I right in holding us all responsible? to the law and crazy things, make sure we don't obey, we don't cheat, honestly the e-log hasn't bothered me much. I have been on it for several years and when I started driving in 2006 and doing long distance touring. 2011 I was in paper records for seven almost 10 years, not 15, for 10 years I was in paper records and yes, it is a bit of an adjustment to get to electronic records and I am not an advocate of electronic records, no Don't get me wrong, I'm not pushing for more enforcement of this regulation, but honestly, it hasn't bothered me much.

More Interesting Facts About,

snowed in again my trucking life vlpg 2664 nov 8th 2022...

I mean, all it does is hold accountable the cowboy truckers, the guys who like to drive, you know, take pills and drive for three days straight, that's what I mean I should call it a super cowboy trucker. because cowboy truckers are cool. I like cowboy super truckers, you know what you know, they take pills and drive all over the continent without stopping that's what stopping is what they're designed to do so they're not running two or three log books at the same time, I really don't It's bothered me a lot, but I'm not putting pressure on it either.

Caper was nice, but this is much easier. I mean, a lot less paperwork, we've gotten our answer, we're going home tonight, we're not entering the US, so we can leave right away, the roads are open, let's see how bad things are, come on, the sun is already there. It's starting to go up, so it's going to be a good day, there's Adam's truck with the lights on, he's got a new Peterbilt, uh, new, what are those models called? It's like it's a condo with a bed. We'll go greet him. truck, say hello everyone, really, right here, yeah, yeah, shoot, okay, we'll have a safe trip.

I want to make sure I don't hit it now, hey, yeah, that's a spot right there when, if you're in the corner, corner, corner. Yes, people come around you all morning. Some of these guys you know me are still asleep. Let's go out and we'd be there. This guy gets paid by the hour. I tell you what I want to move. I want to go home. so I called on the freight gods and to ship this morning we have a great team working there and I've been helping out in the truck division, obviously because I have a trailer behind me, uh, if you haven't seen my last two days of Vlogs I rescued a trailer here in Saskatoon, in fact a truck had broken down.
Bob followed me here, I grabbed this trailer, delivered the load to Edmonton yesterday morning and then I was on my way back home with a load, uh and uh, I got stuck here driving back. and then the roads were closed and the snow storm was very bad so I stayed here overnight and now we continue back and before we go to Regina I wanted to make sure I didn't take this load directly to Iowa because then it would go directly south from Regina. I thought the plan was to come home and I just wanted to confirm that yes, that was the plan.
Since we're leaving Saskatoon, the roads aren't too bad, we'll see this is the highway. 11 between Saskatoon and Virginia I always try to explain where I am because there is a big audience there and I know a lot of you probably aren't familiar with this, I don't blame you but it might help you a little. It explains where I am, which is why I put up the little map after I drive, so that when you see the landscape on my camera and on your screen you know approximately where I am, that way if you are in Europe or Australia. we're like oh flat welcome to the prairies foreign foreign foreign so they're building a new bridge or something here this is Portage la Prairie look at all the smoke what's going on this is all smoke keep that air out as best we can What's going?
Is there a big fire here somewhere? This looks like fog right, no I think, I think it's smoke anyway, they're doing this construction here and meanwhile Manitoba has gone the crazy route and installed a roundabout here for some reason. They don't really need a reason, they just thought they'd have a little fun with it. I guess I'm still wondering where all this smoke came from or is it fog like no, that's smoke and it doesn't smell like burning wood either. Oh, that smells chemically good. I'm going to leave the windows closed. I'm going to have to Google what's burning in Portage la Prairie on November 8th.
It's definitely thicker on the west side of town, from the looks of it, it's kind of clearing up. up here once I stop, if I remember, at the end of my I'll probably forget by then what's burning in Portage la Prairie on November 8,

2022

. It wasn't filmed much, I know, but I dropped the trailer off the truck In the back, I left the paperwork. inside so the next driver can grab it and I grabbed the new step, we're heading to Kenora tomorrow morning, we're picking up another little Lumber, I'm not quite sure where it's going yet but I know where it is so just hustling, hustling, hustling , I have to go.
Tomorrow I will get up early. I have to leave the house probably around 5.30 in the morning. Six o'clock somewhere in there, so I'll get the truck ready to go. There's no time to wash it or anything. Today I'm just going home. just to get a pretty good night's sleep spend time with the family and sleep get home shower eat watch a movie probably and uh go to bed but it's something, it's something, I'm glad I can go home at least for one night, go back to the store. It feels like we're parking all blue here for the weekend.
It feels like this because we've already been driving for four more days, no more than that because I drove all last week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, oh boy. For five days it has been a very long week, which is why it seems like it's been so long since I've been home. Oh, don't worry, I'll be back in the morning. Wait, what will it be tomorrow, Wednesday? I have three more days this week. I still have to take advantage so tomorrow we go to Kenora. I don't know where that cargo will go yet.
I already told you that well, the blue one needs a bath, but it will have to wait until the weekend. I have new decals on the way. now I ordered new ones, I ordered them through a company here in town and they scammed me and I have been waiting over seven weeks with no calls nor did I go there in person, they said they would call me back, they never called me back. I've called them two or three times over the course of two months and kept saying, "Oh yeah, we'll check and call you back each time." Same thing, exactly the same thing, we'll check it out for you, yeah, and we'll see where it is and we'll call you right away once we have an answer for you.
It's been more than seven more than eight weeks and two months, so I said you lost my business. I wanted to support locals but you lost my business. I don't know what kept happening. I don't know why I kept falling into oblivion. Maybe they just didn't want to work with me. I don't know what I did to them, but now they don't get my business. I ordered new stickers myself and I'm going to put them on because this name is spelled wrong and it's driving me and all of you crazy, it's supposed to be Ile, the D is supposed to be lowercase and they're supposed to be like a little house like that about the e and it is supposed to be much smaller.
I ordered them between an inch and a half and two inches and two inches. I ordered them small enough that I could put them in my hand, down here at the bottom. of the door here because I checked it uh we have to have the city name on the side of the truck so I'll order the rest. I'm going to see how these stickers or decals come, how they come, how they stick. how they work and if they are good, I will go through that company from now on, other than that, I will go home now, this is my editing station, my little office here, now there is no time to edit tonight, it's already 8:30.
I want to go home. I have my tarps inside on my walkway, warming up overnight. They all got wet, so I hope they dry out a little here. I mean, they're rolled up, so they probably won't, but at least. They'll fall off a little and I'll probably freeze on the way to Kenora tomorrow anyway. I have to use them tomorrow to start my charge and then the tires still work pretty well. I hope to enjoy another year. I still want to replace these units next fall, just before winter, we'll see if they make it that far.
They are doing pretty well so far and maybe this weekend or a weekend soon I will have to take this flag. are my new truth this is the original flag of Canada that is the flag of Canada if you didn't know that history lesson that's not really our flag that's our current flag yes, that's not what I meant, that's the flag we have over our heads now, but it was changed from that which was our original flag, New Zealand and Australia, all these other flags except New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Old Dominion flag. I first put it in the dryer to get rid of those little wrinkles like These little plugs still have those squares on them that drive me crazy.
I thought they would fade on their own if I left them and hung them for a while. Yeah, they're still there, so I have to uh. I have to take them home and put them in the dryer so they look more like this without all the wrinkles if you're new. I like the flags. Some people collect stamps, some people collect stones, some people collect classic cars, and some people collect boats. I collect. Banderas, I just like the story, I like this, anyway, that's enough, it's time to go home fighting the other guys in there, she'll open the door soon, oh hey mom, I was in a snowstorm Oh my God, I almost died, oh God.
God, oh my God, I saved daddy, oh my God, oh my God, look at the little ones, wait, wait, wait, wait, oh yeah, it smells like a truck, doesn't it? Hey buddy, you missed it, you missed it, it smells like blizzards, what am I? showered I'm fed look at that belly there she's 19 and a half weeks almost halfway there we're getting there I can feel it stretching in there you too have been able to feel it kicking what's your day in the bathtub? It felt a little fluttery, it must be such a great feeling. It will be even cooler when you know that they are real chicks and that they are not just gases, but cakes, yes, honey, yes.
