DIY Dollar Tree 2 Tier Glam Tray | DIY Goodwill Home Decor

May 03, 2024
Hello everyone and welcome back to Beverly's stunning creations in today's DIY. I'll be creating a two-

tier

tray

and also upcycling a

goodwill

find, so let's start here. I have a chandelier that I found at Goodwill that I just grabbed. one of the little

dollar

tree

candle holders and glued it on top. It was lying around and I knew I didn't want to get rid of it. I thought, let's go ahead and DIY it. Here is another

dollar

tree

candle. Candle holders again we have this candle holder from Dollar Tree and then I have the round mirror candle holders from Dollar Tree.

These are the oldest ones and I actually glued two of these together and used them in the previous DIY I took apart. Now I'm going to use it in our new DIY so the first thing we're going to do is take some gorilla glue and place it around the top of this candle holder and I'm going to make sure to place it at the highest point of this candle holder because the highest point is the one that will make contact with this piece. Next, I'm going to glue this candle holder right in the center. Now I add a little bit of glue to the top here, so now I take my mirrors and glue this on. on top okay now I'm going to set that aside to let it set completely okay guys I'm back and all my pieces have come together so I cut three rolls of this bling here it is and I'm I'll put it right at the top before editing.

I'm going to go ahead and add a little bit of this gorilla glue off the camera. I'm going to glue four rows of jewels around the bottom

tier

too, after that's done I'll go. Go back and move on to the next step, so off camera I went ahead and took the same strip and cut it into diamonds so there are four rows across and four rows down, this is what the strip looks like, it's already four rows, one, two, three, four, then counts. in four rows one two three four and cut I put three diamonds on each side of the chandelier I put a diamond in the center and then I put one above and below it, next I will build my center piece to keep the bracelets in place.

I have these little glass knobs. I have these two and as you can see this one is a little bit bigger and then I have a round one and it's smaller than both of them. Well, I went ahead and cleaned them all with alcohol, so now I'm going to drink them. the big one and it's not as bright as the small one. I don't know if you can see it, but it's not that bright. All of these knobs came from amazon.com and I will link them below the video now. To add a droplet right in the center now to glue here, I'm going to glue this knob right in the center of the mirror.

Okay, I'll let this sit overnight. I think I'll go back and put some diamonds in here. and maybe here too and then we'll be done, okay, moving on to DIY number two, as you can see, I have this high heel shoe, of course, it's

decor

ation, it's not a real shoe, I bought it out of

goodwill

, I think it cost around 5.99. I've had this for over a year and wanted to make it yourself this year. I'm trying to get rid of a lot of old crafting materials I have on hand and I also intend to go ahead and get some.
Of the DIYs I wanted to do last year, this is one of them and this is what it looks like on the front. I mean, it's really cute, if this is your color. It's more of an off-white and black. I want to do it.

it up, so what I'm going to do is take this outside and I'm going to spray silver paint on the inside and outside of the entire shoe and I'm going to use this oxide-oleum metallic silver finish, so I'm going to do that, let that This dries completely, then come back and continue with the next step.
Well guys I'm back, here is my shoe after I spray painted it silver. If you can't find a

decor

ative shoe like this, I have some ideas for an actual shoe. I'm going to do that on my second channel I'm not sure how it's going to work but let's try it this is what we have so what I want to do now is decorate it here I have some leaf adhesive metal and what I'm going to do is brush it on certain parts of the shoe, I'm not going to do the heel, I'm actually going to do this part all the way around and I'm not going to add it.
For the flower I put a little bit on the lid and this is a soft brush and I'm just going to brush it and then I'm going to let it sit for about 30 minutes so it gets tacky. Okay, I'm back here. I have my silver leaf, the glue is sticky so now I'm going to go ahead and apply the silver leaf to the shoe. I also have a larger brush, this one is very soft. Well, I'm done applying the silver leaf to my shoe and now I'm done. I'm going to decorate the flower with glitter. I'm going to apply mod podge to the flower and then I'm going to add the glitter on top of the mod podge and just do the petals.
Okay, I'm done adding glitter to my flower, so off camera. I went ahead and put glitter inside because it looked a little boring and I also put some here on the back, so now what I want to do is seal my glitter in place so we don't lose it and I'm going to use it. This has to be hairspray. This works wonders when it comes to setting glitter, so yeah, I'm going to go ahead and set the glitter in place and then come back and move on to the next step. Now I'll let it dry. come back and continue with the next step, okay, the shine has set, so now I'm going to take a mirror mosaic and place a strip on the bottom of the heel.
Now the mirror towel has adhesive on it, but I'm still going to do it. add a little of my gorilla glue to make sure it stays in place permanently. Now I'm going to have a little bit of my glass of Christ. You can pick it up at Michaels. I'll also leave a link in the description below the video for where you can pick it up on amazon.com I'm going to take some mod podge and I'm just going to put it here on my cap here I have a brush I'm going to load some mod podge on the brush and I'm just going to brush it on Okay, I'm going to sit this here, let it dry completely and then I'll go back and fill in any open spaces I might have after that, seal it.
Okay, the heel is dry. Okay, now. I'll let that coat dry and still while it was drying I went ahead and added some silver leaf right inside the shoe, plus it didn't really blow like I wanted without it so I went ahead and did that. That's fine too, so now I have a small amount of water and I'm going to add a little bit of mod podge, not a lot, maybe a third to two thirds of water, mix it up, so now I'm going to take my shoe and just Rub the glass with the mod podge and water mixture and this will hold it in place.
Now I don't do this all the time, but this time I'm going to sprinkle some glitter on it again. I'll leave it completely. Dry, come back and then move forward to finish our shoe off camera. I went ahead and added a little bit of glitter here. Now I'm going to go down here and then I'm going to go up the other side as well and of course I'm going to reinforce it with more. Gorilla glue off camera. I'll go ahead and add glitter here as well. I need to add one more strip on each side. Okay, now I want to add a bow to the front of my shoe and I'm going to turn it into a crystal. bow using two of these chandelier pendants.
I'm going to use my gorilla glue along with some hot glue. Okay, now we have a crystal arch, so now I take one of these little crystals from the garland and glue it right in the center. I'm going to have to watch that until the glue sets, but you can also add a little bit of hot glue to it, so yeah, that's a look inside itself, but now I think I want to add individual pieces of mirror mosaic in there just for I will make it shine brighter when the light reflects on the mirror. I'm going to continue adding mirror towels for extra shine.
When I'm done, I'll come back and display it and let you guys see what it looks like, okay?
