I just called and talked to the racing guys and they mentioned Nelson Racing could have done it. sounds familiar Nelson Racing Dennis Dennis knows everything so what I'm thinking is call Dennis before we do anything and see if Dennis wants to just pull the engine and send it to a Dyno and let him fix it because we have to. change the head gaskets at least to start with yeah it's not like that it's really shocking if it only went up to 220 maybe it's not broken enough or I don't know or something at least we caught it early how much time passed? ran there at Danny's uh Danny's probably total maybe 25 minutes we also found where there's a little set screw that's leaking on this side of the block uh for a coolant, the coolant comes from there, okay, that's just cool it down, yeah, well at this point it's water because we put water in it, but yeah, okay, no, but that still doesn't explain why there's water in the oil, yeah, yeah, no, is there wet water in there or just water, I was in a moment, but then?
When I had to fix this and all the water, you know, it was leaking and you know, it came out, so we just put water in, but it was water and the water didn't cool, you know, we never put cooling in, I mean, it's pretty obvious. one would imagine it's oil, a head gasket, most likely a head gasket, what else could it be? Is there a stump crossing that that would allow a mix to occur? It is difficult for any of us to say that we are not familiar. with a it's difficult because I don't know the block like we were talking about, if the block has an oil passage next to a coolant passage and that fell, then yes, it's mixing, you know, I mean, checking everything is basically taking both heads.
Go out and just see if you see any, you know because there's nothing wrong with the man under the engine, right, it's just that if it's like the gasket problem or whatever it is, you know well, this is going to be a big challenge. at idle, which we knew from the beginning, look there's only condensation on this one on this side, yeah, it's on that side, that side is worse, this looks like normal condensation to me, it's not even mixed, so the spring, does it? can you see the spring? yeah, but yeah, I can see the spring and I don't see that much condensation on it, so there's more mixture on that side than there is, it's hot, you know, a new Corvette runs at 220 all day, a BMW runs at 220 all day. the day, yes, that's when the thermostat opens, yes, yes, because for emissions they need to remove it, you know, the problem is that they have to clean all that from there, you have to remove all the water, all the bad oil , you can simply execute the change.
