Sunny Lenarduzzi: I see you working hard on

your

thumbnails and doing everything you can to

stand

out on YouTube, and I will help you. Well? I totally under

stand

it. There's a sea of content on YouTube, and it's really hard to feel like you can even top it, stand out, or

make

it to the top. There are people every day who are just starting out on this platform and are killing it. So what is the difference? Well, there are a couple of factors to really

make

your

videos

stand out on YouTube and your channel as a whole to stand out on YouTube.
how to make your youtube videos stand out
Today we will focus on some of those things that will help you stand out from the crowd and rise to the top of the rankings. The first thing is through thumbnails. Before someone can click on your video and see how amazing you are and your content, they must see your thumbnail and be attracted to click on it. You may have noticed in this video, in my thumbnail, that it was just this really bright background that might have caught your eye. In fact, I'd love to know in the comments if that was a factor in you clicking on this video.

More Interesting Facts About,

how to make your youtube videos stand out...

You might notice that some YouTubers use a green screen, which is what I'm using now, to create that really bright background behind them, which attracts a lot of viewers. But my warning about this is that if I just started on my channel and started creating

videos

, I would still have text on my thumbnails, which I did for a long time. I've seen a lot of your comments saying, "What happened to the text on your thumbnails? Why did you just go to the images?" Honestly, I test my content on all platforms all the time and I still don't have enough data to tell you whether text or photos perform better.

But I know that as a new channel, text is the way to go. My old style of thumbnails, having no more than four words on your thumbnails, with a close-up image of your face in reaction to whatever the video is about, is the best way to do it. For example, in this video, if I were to create a thumbnail with text, if I was just starting my channel and I really wanted this video to stand out, I would say, "MAKE THE VIDEOS POP OUT." That would be the only text, in big, bold letters, because keep in mind that your video is tiny when people see it in search results or in "Suggested", so the text has to be big enough for anyone , you're 80 years old... grandmother, so you can read.

Therefore, you should make sure it is large, bold text. Your thumbnails are vitally important. What you can do to differentiate your thumbnails so that you stand out from other videos and are the one people want to click on are bright, colorful backgrounds and large, bold text. No more than four words. Your face up close so people can see your eyes and your facial expression, and have some kind of reaction to the video you're talking about, the content of your video so people can get even more involved and see your facial expression. and they want to click to find out what the heck is in that video.
Step 2 is editing the mark. Make sure your videos are aligned across the board and that people know it's your video without even knowing it. There are many good examples of creators who have a very specific editing style. They do their introductions the same way. They make their graphs the same way. They make their music, their texts, their sound effects, everything the same way. Those are all elements you should consider. The easiest way to start doing this, even if you're editing your videos yourself right now, or using something like iMovie, is to simply use the same color and font for the text in all of your videos.
That will give you a little bit of branding to start with and keep that consistency with your audience. It also helps you stand out because your colors probably won't be the same as many other people's. Use it to your advantage. Creating some kind of style and brand around the editing you do on your videos will help you stand out on YouTube and get people really familiar with your style of content so they want to keep coming back and watching. If you have a favorite editor or editing style on YouTube, I'd love for you to comment below with whoever that person is so we can all learn from that channel and check it out.
The third thing is your description style. You may not think this matters, but it really does. In fact, I'm going to do a quick look at the screen to show you what I'm talking about and set up your description similarly each time, so people get used to it and know what your style is in your video. It makes them more likely to click on your video and watch it. If you're on my channel, you'll notice my description style pretty quickly. What I do in my description style is always reiterate the title from the beginning. I always reiterate the title in bold so you know exactly what you are getting.
Then I always try to lead with some kind of strong hook, for example, "How to succeed as a beginner on YouTube?", "Are you just starting out on YouTube?", and that leads people to the rest of the information they'll need. . But this is great because most people searching for this topic are just starting out on YouTube, so I want to hook them that way. You'll notice that when you look at the search results, you'll see "How to Succeed as a Beginner on YouTube," which matches exactly what people are searching for, so they say, "Okay. That's probably the one I'm looking for." want to click." But I keep the description style exactly the same on all my videos because every little consistency you can add to your videos will help you outperform other people in your niche.
Step number 4 to make your video stand out in YouTube is really breaking out of YouTube and leveraging all of your other platforms to share your video in a really unique way that's unique to your style, your brand, and the vibe that you want to be putting out there. Again I'm going to do a little bit. Screenshot of some examples of how we share our videos on social platforms so that we can grab the attention of our audience everywhere and push them towards our YouTube video to give us more engagement and more traffic, particularly in the first 24 to 30 minutes. 48 hours of posting, which gives us a higher ranking and improves the video in the algorithm.
So let's take a look at how we do it. This is how we share our videos on social media to make sure they stand out. I really like to make sure we share things that actually appear on the platforms we use. So if we're on Twitter, we know that images and videos really stand out. You can see here that we pin any of my new videos to the top as the most recent Tweet, and we use the thumbnail to really grab people's attention and then put the link in the actual Tweet. We use the same style every week for each video.
Then on Instagram, again, you want to play with the platform, so we use these text images, or we use a very strong thumbnail image of me. Then I make a post with long captions because that's what people want to see on my Instagram profile and, according to the data, what works best. You can see here that we had almost 1,700 likes on this photo and tons, tons of comments. The call to action here is to watch the YouTube video. The link is in my bio so I always send people there. But again, we're playing to the platform's strengths, and that's the important part when it comes to sharing your YouTube video.
You want to make sure you pay attention to how the platform works and what type of content stands out best. Again, on a platform like Facebook, I sometimes go live because I know live streams get the most attention and I'll put a link to my YouTube video in the comments. So take advantage of the platform's strengths, and that's the best way to share your video to get the most views and traffic sent directly to YouTube. Finally, step number 5 to make your video stand out on YouTube is a little secret ninja trick I like to call “Filling in the Holes.” It may seem like this is super overwhelming and there are so many people to compete with, but in reality there are a lot of little gaps that you can fill with your videos that no one else has seen as an opportunity yet.
Often new YouTubers, or even seasoned YouTubers, look for these great titles that have a high search volume and all these people want to watch them. It's really hard to compete for that. But did you know that there are also titles related to those important topics that maybe have a little lower search volume, but they don't have anyone making videos about them, so you'll automatically take the number one spot for that topic? I'm going to show you exactly what I mean. We also call them "input videos" in this quick screenshot. Well. This is very interesting to me and I love seeing things like entry videos because they are hidden gold mines and really big opportunities, no matter how big or small your channel is.
What I mean by this is that you are basically looking for any type of topic related to your niche. I chose niches I know nothing about, but I just wanted to prove the point. Let's say I search for "How to Bake a Cake" and I have a baking channel. You know this term is extremely competitive. Yes, there are a lot of people searching for it monthly, but it is very, very competitive. Our TubeBuddy score here is not good, so it would be very difficult to find your video because it is bad to target it because it is extremely competitive.
How can I find a gateway video here? Well, basically I'll scroll down and look at the number of subscribers compared to the number of views. This is quite interesting to me because both channels don't necessarily have a large number of subscribers, but they do have a large number of views. What I'm going to do is click on this channel right here. Open the channel and I'll go to "Videos". I'm going to sort by "Most Popular" and you'll see that that video is by far the most popular video on this channel. The reason is that this is an introductory video because yes, it is "How to Bake a Cake", but there is other information here in the title, "How to Bake a Cake|HOW TO MAKE A CAKE|Cake Recipe".
So it is specific for sponge cakes. This video has been getting a ton of views and speed regardless of the subscriber base, which tells you that this is a possible gateway to creating a video on the same topic in this industry and getting really good results. Let us also illustrate this point with another channel and another topic, which is “How to get clear skin”. Super, super competitive. It says "FAIR" here, but again, anything in red on the score probably isn't best for you. "How to get clear skin", you are competing with channels with large numbers of subscribers.
But very interesting, change the title a little and still classify, "Proud to have light skin" with only 41,000 subscribers, still a good number, but 41,000 subscribers among almost half a million, more than half a million, more than 200,000. subscribers. So you ranked it among the competitive channels because you used a different view of this search term. So with fewer subscribers, it still ranks third here. Basically, it's about taking these broad, broad topics and looking for channels that have been able to break through all of these big channels with a little twist on the topic. So instead of “How to Get Clear Skin”, “Affordable Skin Care Routine”.
So this is an entry video, and maybe you could take it and put your own spin on it and again also see success within this search term. Those are input videos and how to find them. Those are the five magical steps that will help you stand out on YouTube and get clicks on your videos. That's what we really want. We want people to see that you are amazing at what you do. You are driven by value. You are educating. You are entertaining. You are inspiring people with your content. But first you have to get people to click.
These are all the steps to get people to do that and for you to stand out on this platform. I promise you, no matter what stage of your journey you are at, it is possible and it will happen. I want to say "thank you" to our Boss Club members and give special recognition to one member in particular. I love this name. 50somethingoriginal says: "Congratulations Sunny. Your content is always useful. I needed to know how to change it to find what resonates with viewers. I recently got more subscribers (not many compared to others, but significant for me). "That's awesome." , in a style I tried in the last two videos, so I think I'll focus on that method." Changing it up and testing your content is a big part of growing.
