I buy them in the jewelry department at Hobby Lobby, some beads and some bead caps. I like to use these. The beads you get in the indoor section of Hobby Lobby already have little hooks on them, so all you have to do is unhook them from each other. You can even get ones that have pearls too. I chose one. A couple of wine corks I'll end up using all of them, but right now we're just going to do two. I have a pair of bead stoppers for each of my wine corks. And I flatten them to fit on the top, so all you have to do is use your little eye screw and screw it right in the middle and it will hold it in place.

Now the bead cap will keep this from coming off too easily and will also give it some decoration. We're going to make one on each end once you put the eye screws in there, then we're going to take one of our small beads and one of our jump rings and all you do is hook the jump ring through the bead and then to hook. Put it through that eye bolt and you're going to turn it back on, never use them, it just makes them where you can't use them. Now we'll choose one of our little charms and I swapped out the jump rings for the others.

The ones were very thick and that makes a good keychain, but it didn't work as well for this. I bought these smaller ones at Hobby Lobby and they work great for these little ornaments. Now let's hook our charm onto our jump ring. and then close it again now that we have an ornament. I'm going to grab one of those little ornament hooks. I love these little S shaped ones. I think they are very cute. We'll feed it there and we have our decoration for the second one. I'm going to go ahead and remove another one of my little beads from my chain.

I just twisted that little eye hook, I'll put it on my cork and then I'll use it. This Christmas tree I'm going to take my jump ring, I'm going to use my little pliers and I'm going to open it up. You see I just twist it then I put my little Christmas tree pendant in there add my wine cork and then we'll twist it again simple simple so now we'll add our little ornament hook on top and with that this project is complete . Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use one of these unfinished wood rounds that I bought at Walmart.
You can also get something similar from Dollar Tree some Waverly chalk paint in white some unfinished wooden beads I'm using two sizes you use whatever you want some ribbon and some cord from Dollar Tree some twine some words I cut out using my Cricut I'll also show you in future projects how you can do this if you don't have a cutting machine, an ink pad and a finger brush, you can also use paint or a distress pencil and my glue gun and some sticks of glue, so the first thing we are going to do is give our wooden disc a good coat of paint.
I'm using Waverly chalk paint in white and painting the front, back, and sides. I always choose to do this because I like it to look like this. Same all the way around, now I'm going to transfer my text to my project. I just use a piece of transfer tape, lift my text off the carrier sheet and then transfer it to the project now if you don't have a cutting machine. In future projects in this video we will show you how you can make letters even without one. I like to give my project a little depth, so I grabbed my ink pad and my finger and I'm just going to continue. around these edges and loosen it up a bit if you don't have an ink pad you can use a pencil or some paint to do the same.
Now I'm going to use my Creative Memories punch and punch a hole in the top of my ornament, if you have the ones from the Dollar Tree this hole will already be there so you don't have to do that. Now I'm going to thread my thread onto a large darning needle and I'm going to thread it through my ornament I leave just a little tail and I tie a knot then I'm going to thread 15 of my beads and I'm using a little bigger a little smaller on that one kind of pattern now I don't know what size they are I've had them forever so I don't know you just use whatever you want.
Once I have them, I'll bring them in and then tie them into a triple knot at the top. my ornament and cut it out and then I wanted to add a little bow so I took some ribbon and I just took a piece and measured it up to my ornament to see how big I want it and all I do is fold those ends over. Take a piece of cord around the center, cut it out and you have a cute bow. Once we've done that, we'll just use a little hot glue to attach it to our ornament and with that this project is finished today.
We're highlighting more than 35 of our best DIY ornaments, including five new projects. We hope you like having them all together if you are a returning friend. Thank you very much for your support. We really appreciate you if you are new here. We would love. If you hit the subscribe button, if you like what you see, stay tuned because we have lots of DIY projects coming up. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use one of these wooden stars that I bought mine at Walmart, but they also sell something very similar at Dollar Tree.
Some sheet music. I just googled old sheet music and printed some that I liked. Some Waverly chalk paint in ink. Some Mod Podge. What I do is paint my star and I chose to paint it with my Waverly Chalk Paint in Ink. I wanted to give it the feeling of a midnight sky. I paint the front, back and all sides and then set it aside and let it dry. Now that my paint is dry, I'm going to place my star on my sheet music. I printed it at four inches as my star and then just traced and cut it out.
I wanted to make sure I got as much as possible. of the wording as possible now we're going to apply a good coat of our Mod Podge, we're going to make sure it's even and I'm going to place my star on it and I'm going to work out any wrinkles or bubbles to get any overhang that I might just take a piece of paper of sandpaper and go around the edges, but always be sure to sand, this will remove everything. Now I'm going to use my mod podge and just paint a little bit around the edges. my star and then I put the gold glitter on top and removed the excess and I love the effect it gives it, it just makes it pop, gives it a little shine and really ups the ante on how professional these look, the latest thing we have What to do is add a hanger.
I'm going to use my hole punch and make a hole. If you bought yours at Dollar Tree, it will already have a hole in it for you, so I'm going. To take a piece of thread, fold it in half and push it through the hole I made. We'll run our ends through the little Loop and Pull and that will give us a perch. I'm going to tie a knot at the end and trim it. remove it and this project is completely foreign Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use the end of a five-gallon paint stirrer.
I always save them when I cut them from a piece of fabric from this old jacket I bought them at the thrift store. I love buying things like this when I'm at the thrift store because you can use them in so many projects, like fabric, Waverly chalk paint in white, a graphic illustration marker from Hobby Lobby, and some glitter gel pens from the Dollar Tree now if you don't have these graphic illustration markers you can easily use a fine tip permanent marker, some twine, my glue gun and some glue sticks. The first thing we will do is paint our piece of wood.
I'm using Waverly white chalk paint and I'm going to do the front, back, and sides. You'll be able to see this from all sides, so it should be complete. I think they are very fun and great for Kids could make a Grinch into Santa Claus. Your imagination is the only limit. Now we're going to take a piece of fabric from that old jacket we had and I'm going to trim that seam and then make it uniform. on the bottom now all I'm going to do is wrap it around the top of my paint stir stick, trim it where I want it to end up and then I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue and stick it down.
I don't even have to sew this, this fleece will come together and do its own kind of stitching there. Now I'm going to take a piece of twine, wrap it around the top and tie a very tight double knot and then trim it and then we'll make some fringes by just cutting little slices on your cute little hat. Now we're going to take the other piece of that fabric and we're going to cut it into a small strip and then we're going to tie it around his neck. and this will be your scarf. I had to pull it a little, but this fleece stretches so it worked to make a face.
I'm just going to use a pencil and draw the face I want. It doesn't have to be

perfect

, that's the good thing about these projects. Once I draw it, I use a black permanent marker and fill in the eyes, the eyebrows, trace around the nose and fill in the mouth and then I'm going to use one of the orange gel markers to fill in the nose and a pink one to give them some little spots on her cheeks, you know, Rosy Cheeks, we'll take a white pin, give her some expression in her eyes and then we'll use a black marker to give her some buttons on her tummy, the last thing we need to do is add a hanger, so I take some twine and I thread it through a darning needle, I put it through the fabric and I tie a knot, we'll cut it out and with that this.
The project is finished Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use one of these little Grapevine wreaths that I buy at Hobby Lobby. You get like six or eight in a package, they're 50 off and they're great for making these little ornaments with some greenery from an old garland, some frosted leaves left over from last year, some ribbon and cord from Joanne Fabrics and my glue gun and some glue sticks, this is as simple as it comes, all I'm going to do is take my ribbon and I'm going to make a very simple little bow.
I just roll it over itself a couple of times and then we're going to trim it. I'm going to use a piece of this 1 8 inch ribbon that I've had forever, I'm going to wrap it a couple of times tightening it into a double knot and I'm going to trim it and we're going to have a cute little bow. Now I'm going to grab a couple of pieces of these Greenery. that I cut and we are going to glue them. I'm going to glue one on each side. That one had a little bit of paint on there but I think it makes it look snowy so I'm going to grab some of these frosted leaves I love them I think they came from Dollar Tree they were a little big for my taste so I trimmed them down to they were the size I wanted and then I'm going to use some Hot Glue and stick them right on top of my Greenery, all this does is give it a little bit of depth and a little bit more texture.
Once you have those, we're going to glue our bow right there in the center of this, the last thing we need to do. is to add a hanger, so I'm going to take a little bit of that cord, trim it, tie a knot and make a little loop, then we'll cut it out and glue it to the back of our ornament and with that this project will be complete hey . This is all Kay for this project. I'm going to use one of these little frames I bought at Dollar Tree. I'm going to use this sticker I bought at Dollar Tree.
The letters are made of wood and are very visible. like Scrabble tiles, this piece of scrapbook paper I bought at Hobby Lobby, some 7 8 inch wide ribbon and also some extra red wooden beads, both came from Hobby Lobby and finally this red chalk paint in the Imperial color and also some mod podge and a little extra thread, so the first thing I'm going to do is deconstruct this frame a little bit. By the way, I'm going to take out these beads and reuse that thread later and then I'm going to take out the back of our frame here and then I'm going to go in and take off all of this backing because I'm going to reuse this side, then I used my red Imperial chalk paint and I'm going to give my frame the edges of the side all but the back basically two really good coats of red chalk paint and then I'm just going to take my backing and I'm going to trace it right on top of my paper here, making sure that my lines are straight once I I cut it.
I don't want it to be a little crooked on the front and then I'll go in with my mod podge and give the front a really good coat to make sure it's nice and we'll still just press that. down, use some plastic wrap to make sure we have all the bubbles out and once that's dry, I'll go in and give it a top coat of mod podge as well. Now I'm placing my words, I want to make sure. that they weren't going to get in the way of the side of my frame and I'm putting it here Happy and bright there was another word in this package but I alreadyI used in a previous project and you all know I'm pretty anal about lining up these letters so I took a little time to do this and make sure the spacing was pretty even all the way around.
I really love using all these little frames they have at Dollar Tree to make Christmas ornaments to put on my tree it's cheap, fun, pretty and bright, and now I'm going to string my beads. I'm just making a random pattern of two red beads and then the white bead that came with the frame and I just used some thread that I bought from the Dollar Tree, tied a knot there, then we'll pick it up, put it through the second hole and we'll do a knot too, that's why I chose this frame because I love the fact that it had the holes already drilled in there and I'm just going to put a little bit of hot glue on each corner and reattach the backing to our frame and it will pop up and stay just with that little bit of glue and that's it.
We're just going to embellish it more with this little piece of black ribbon that I'm cutting to about 18 inches. I'm just going to make a very simple bow with a shoelace, pinch it in the middle and tie it with the twine that originally came with it. on the beads and we'll use a little bit of hot glue once we've cut it out, attach it to the pinwheel and there's our completed ornament. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for today's video. I thought we'd do something a little different. I thought since we just got back from vacation, maybe we could make some

quick

and

easy

ornaments that would be fun for you or the

kids

for your tree.
I have a bunch of these Scrabble tiles. I collect them at the thrift store so I have quite a few, I picked out some words to use on a couple different ornaments and for this first one I thought we would also use the little stand you use when you play Scrabble. I don't always save them, but sometimes I do and I think this one would work for this. I pulled out the letters from Away in a Manger and I'm also going to use some Nativity buttons I bought at Hobby Lobby. These are returned to the Christmas section and are 50 off, so they are now only a dollar fifty.
When I looked at it I thought this little stand needed to be a different color on me, it just blended in too much when it was natural. color, so I grabbed this furniture repair marker. I got them from the Dollar Tree and I dyed the holder and then I also decided to go around the edges of my letters and just give them a little bit of definition since we're not really. staining them just highlighting them now I'm going to paste my letters, let's go ahead and paste the manger letters and I'm playing with this while I'm going to see how I want to lay it out.
I wasn't exactly sure if we were going to go ahead and remove it as well because I know I want it to be on top. We're going to stack these words, but I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted them. fall and where I wanted to put my little buttons, I grabbed my buttons and I use my little wire cutters and I go ahead and cut the shanks on the back so they're flat so I can get an idea of how I wanted it to present and you know, I tried two or three different things. I finally decided I liked the Holy Family at the bottom next to the manger, so that's how we're going to finish this.
I'm just going to take my hot glue and I'm going to go ahead and glue Mary, Joseph and the baby down there at the bottom. I put it as close to that side as possible and then we're going to glue the manger to the right. Next door I'm playing with it again, you just have to have an idea of how you want things to turn out. I decided I like the little sheep and the donkey on top of the e and r. I thought it was really cute, so I glued them on and then I'm going to glue the manger onto that little Scrabble tile holder.
Now we're going to go ahead and glue A and N right above the manger. I figured them out a little bit and then discovered that I wanted a way to lie down. I knew I wanted to make it up to him. I didn't want it to be right on top because I want to put my angel on top like she's looking down. baby Jesus this is how I ended up putting mine up now I'm going to grab some twine this is going to be my hanger and I just tied a knot at the top leaving a little loop and I had one of these wooden stickers from the Dollar Tree um, these were the gold stars that come in those packages and I glued the knot that comes out of the top of my star and then glued the thread on the two legs that come down, this will make it look like this star.
It's hanging above our ornament and I really loved how it looked. Now I'm going to pull it down and get an idea of where it should be, how long it should hang and then I just pick it up and I stick my twine to the back of my holder and I'm going to trim it now, once I have this twine here, I realize that I'm going to need another point of contact in addition to that support because it wants to flip forward when you hang it, let's cut it out and now this is where I was holding it and I can see that it needed it so I just put a little point of glue on my angel and on one of My little Scrabble mosaics and I did the same on the other side and then this project was finished.
Oh, hi, I'm Trish. In last week's video, we grabbed some shower curtain rings from the Dollar Tree and made some adorable wreath-shaped ornaments to decorate the top. go to the tree at the time I mentioned I thought you could use two of these and put them together and make a really cute snowman ornament so today I thought I'd give it a try and see how it turns out so first thing I'm going to do do is take one of those shower curtain rings, you're actually going to use two of them and I put a little bit of hot glue there in that little area where they join and then I'm going to use a little bit of this thick white thread from Hobby Lobby .
I bought it when it was on sale for 30 off. I put a little bit of hot glue on there and then I start wrapping it until it's completely wrapped and I put another little bit of hot glue on it to secure it. Now you notice I left a tail on the first one. You want to leave a tail hanging from one of these so we can attach them. Now we're going to wrap our second ring and we're going to glue it on, then we're going to take our two rings and we're going to glue them together and then we're going to take that little tail that we left and we're going to wrap it there about three times and we're going to secure it with a little bit more heat. glue it together and cut it out and we have a simple little snowman to decorate.
I'm going to use one of these little top hat ornaments. I bought them at Walmart, you get three for 1.97 and they are

perfect

for this. Take that clip off the bottom, we don't need it, but before we put it on we're going to go ahead and add a hanger. I took a little piece of tape, cut about a 10 inch piece, and then rolled it up. the top and I pulled it as tight as I could trying to get my thread back around it and I tied a knot at the end and that gives me a hanger.
Now you can still see that ribbon and when I cut my thread a little bit. Fluffy bits came off, so I took my hot glue gun and stuck those fluffy bits over that piece of tape there and you couldn't even tell, then it covered it perfectly. Now I'm going to use some of this plaid ribbon. from the Dollar Tree and I cut a piece off, I think it was like 16 inches long and I wrapped it around the middle there, which would be his neck, and I tied it in a double knot, we're going to tighten it up a little bit and then I'm going to use some hot glue to hold those ends so they hang the way I want, we'll trim it out and we have a nice scarf, now let's take that top part.
Hat, put some hot glue, stick it on top and once you put it on, this project is finished. Thank you just for telling you a little bit about Trish and I, we really are first cousins and we have a passion for

craft

s we love sharing our craft videos with you chatting and hanging out with you in lives and meeting new people at foreign craft fairs for this project. I'm going to use one of the unfinished wooden sleigh ornaments from the Dollar Tree, some Scrabble letters. Get mine at the thrift store, but you can also get them at craft stores.
A wooden snowflake from Dollar Tree. Some worn ink and a brush. Some Waverly chalk paint in white. Some Rust-Oleum gel stain. I bought this from Dollar Tree. flowers and greenery that I had on hand, some Mod Podge, some iridescent glitter, my glue gun and some glue sticks, so I'm going to paint this sleigh, but I'm going to do it in a distressed style, so I wanted to give it a coat of stain on the bottom to give it that beautiful wood look and I decided to try this gel stain I found at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago.
I was excited about this dye, but I have to tell you. I really hated it, it's so messy, it's sticky, it went everywhere, it didn't smooth out very well, it has a smell, it's not as bad as regular dye, but it's much worse than the watered down paint or dye markers I normally use from the Dollar Tree. I can tell everyone that I will not use it again. I covered this and let it dry once my dye was dry. Now I'm going to paint a little. I grabbed my Waverly chalk paint and a chippy brush and went over this with a heavy hand.
I wanted it to be mostly covered, but I wanted it to look like it had been used a lot and the paint had worn off. Then I also took a small brush and painted my snowflake and then I used some mod podge and put it on top and added some iridescent glitter. I wanted my letters to stand out and this is not a necessary step but I ended up taking some distressing ink and a blender and just went around the edges and tinted them just so they would stand out a little bit and then I'll do the same thing with my snowflake as well. , I just tapped those edges so it sticks out a little bit.
I loved how my sleigh looked with the white paint, but I was afraid the snowflake wouldn't stand out, so I ended up taking some Waverly Chalk Paint in Crimson I had and going over it with a pretty heavy hand, keeping it worn down. but adding that red and then also letting the white shine and I was actually pretty happy with it now that everything is dry, we're going to add our snowflake and our letters. I wanted my lyrics to be a little messy. I like the way it looks and then I just used a little bit. of hot glue to stick them in place to decorate the top of this.
I wanted to make a bow and we're going to keep it pretty simple. I just took a piece of tape. I made two loops on each side by just wrapping it around and then. I take some twine, pinch that center, wrap it around and tie it in a knot. We'll fluff it and snap the ends together and have a nice bow for our ornament. Now I'm going to use some. Vegetation that I had left over from last year and I'm just going to glue it on top there and then glue my bow right in the center once my bow is down.
I'm going to use some of that frosted greenery that I got from the Dollar Tree. I cut a couple of twigs and glued one to each side just below my bow. Then I'll use some of those frosted branches. I'm not sure. I really gave it a lot, but I used one on each side. I grabbed those little berries I had in a bunch, cut two pieces off, and stuck them right under my bun. Let's put our hanger back there. Simply pass my twine through the holes make a knot at each end trim the excess and with that this is finished Hello everyone, this is K for this project.
I'm going to use this smaller bamboo ring that I bought at Dollar. Tree, you could also use an embroidery hoop, these were much cheaper and I was happy to find out they would also use this wooden J and wooden wire, they came from Hobby Lobby in a package like the U on the left. I wanted you to see how they come. I'm going to use some of this fabric that I bought last year at Walmart in the fat neighborhood, some folk art chalk paint in the color Imperial, which is a beautiful red, these ribbons that I bought at Hobby.
The hallway, the one on the right, is wired and I'm also going to use some of this burlap ribbon that I bought from the Dollar Tree. I'm going to use some of this Greenery, it's a candle ring that I bought at the Dollar General I'm going to use one of these pine stems. Mine came from Hobby Lobby but they sell something very similar at Dollar Tree and I'm finally going to use some crafting technology and my hot glue gun. What I'm going to do is check the placement of my letters to make sure everything fits inside the circle and then I go ahead and cut my Greenery to make a wreath that's my or in the middle and then I'm just going to Cut it out with a pair of pliers and then just turn it on itself and the next thing I'm going to do is go in with my chalk paint and paint the inside of the circle, the outside and the edges with the red paint and I'm also going to paint the J and the y in red too you can use green.
I just chose not to because my tree is always green at Christmas and I like my ornaments to stand out from the rest. tree and now I'm going to go in with my fabri label and I'm going to cover the back of my bamboo ring all around and smooth it out now I'm just going to lay down my fabric and I'm going to To center my ring there, place it down, it doesn't take long time to set it up, but you want to hold it and while it's setting up you can pull it nice and tight and then we'll go in and of course.
Cut out the fabric. I'm going to cut as close to the ring as possible. I'm going to cut a piece of my tapeburlap. I'm going to cut it a little bigger than I really need, but I'm just going to make sure I have enough so I can wrap it around the sides and then I'll place it. I'm going to place my little crown right in the middle of my piece of ribbon just using my hot glue and then once I have it, I'm going to place my Y and my J for the right and the left to spell Joy.
Of course, and now I'm going to make a simple bow to place on my wreath. I'm just going to tie two bunny ears together, pull them tight and cut the ends off and then I'm going to use hot glue to attach it to the top of my wreath here and now I'm just going to attach it to the side. I'm just making sure that my placement is correct and that everything is centered and then we'll just use a little bit of hot glue to attach it to the edges and then once that's done and the glue dries, I'll go in and trim those edges and This is how it looks so far.
I'm going to make a simple tie to hang on the tree. I'm going to use some jute tied in a knot and glue it to the back and now to decorate the top I'm going to make a bow with my wired ribbon. I'm just making a simple to Make a bow with the bow by twisting it in my hand and then I'm going to use a little piece of floral wire and I'm going to wrap it in half so it's nice and tight and I'm just going to cut the excess wire on the back and for Of course, each bow needs to be fluffed and trimmed once we have it how we want it, we'll place it here on top and I'll hold it up until it sets.
I'm going to cut a couple of these. Leaves from this candle ring and I'm going to place one on the right and one on the left just below our arch and the only thing left to do is cut off some of those berries and then we'll take the berries. and this is how we will decorate the middle of the bow by placing it with a little hot glue and with that our project is complete for this ornament. I thought about using one of these terrariums from the Dollar Tree to make a diorama. I'm going to use one of these bottle brush trees, one of these Santas that came from the craft section at Hobby Lobby, an iridescent writing rack, and I'm going to use some of these sparkly snow ornaments that I found at the thrift store hand, but all of you.
You can use the snow curtain from the Dollar Tree, it would probably work even better, you wouldn't have to go through all this since it didn't fit. I had to glue those ends together, but I'm trying to use them. this, so I didn't really care once I glued it on. I'm just going to use some hot glue and stick it directly to the bottom of that little terrarium. You just want a snowy background. Now I'll have to remove the. bottom of my tree because it doesn't fit there. Now I'm going to put some glue around that wire and stick it to the back and hold it until it sets.
Once we have that game, I'm going to take my little guy and Claws and stick him there right in front. There are so many cute things you could put here. They could use one of those little gnomes they have. They could use a reindeer. There are tons of things that. It would make them simply adorable. I decided to take some of this iridescent Rick shelf I had and glue it around the opening of my terrarium. I thought I was going to give him something extra and he does. It's cute. It didn't exactly work out. like I had it in mine, but it's fine.
I didn't take it off again, but if I did it again, I'm not sure if I would really put it there now for you, of course, you can do whatever you want. use the Rick shelf, you can use a ribbon, you can leave it open without having anything around it. I don't think this took it away, it just wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Now you know we have that. There I decided to grab some of this fake snow from the Dollar Tree and just poured some in there just to give it a snowier look.
Now I'm going to use some of that belief tape. I think I got it from Dollar General. and everyone knows that I have been in love with this film this year. I've used it for a lot of things and I'm just making a simple loop for Loop. I had two loops on each side and then I took a small piece of ribbon. wrap it around the center about four times and tie a double knot and that gives me a bow. Now I'll link below to the video where we show you how to make simple bows in case you can't see what I was doing because I know I went off camera with this.
We're going to tighten it up and then we're going to use some hot glue and stick it right there at the base of that loop for a hanger that I'm going to use. some of this beautiful lace I bought from Joanne's. I cut a piece, fold it in half and put the bow through that little bow on the ornament, then I tie it tight with a knot at the end of this, leaving a bow that we are going to cut out and with that this project will be finished Hi a everyone, I'm Trish for this project.
We're going to use these foam die cuts from the Dollar Tree. They're back in the

kids

section and you get four in a pack, some Waverly. white chalk paint some screws for eyes I bought mine at Hobby Lobby some Pine Garland ties from the Dollar Tree some ribbon of my choice I ended up using glitter some Mod Podge a glue stick some photos of my choice you will need five for each ornament They need to be 1.4 square inches. I made mine in a Word document, that's how I reduced them, but there are many programs you can use to do this too, since I printed mine on an inkjet printer.
I need to seal them so I'm going to use a clear acrylic sealant from Hobby Lobby, some berries from Ollie's and my glue gun and some glue sticks so the first thing I did was paint my ornaments, you'll only see the top of this , one of them will be the top and then the sides, so you don't have to paint the whole side if you don't want to, but I was afraid that those little dots would show through my photo and I didn't want to ruin them, so I went ahead and I painted all sides of these with a good coat and then let them dry while the paint on our little blocks dried.
I went ahead and cut out all those little photos and it took a few minutes, but it really wasn't that long. big deal and then I'll use a glue stick and attach them to my dice. Now I chose to use a glue stick instead of mod podge because Mod Podge can sometimes cause bubbles and wrinkles and I never have that problem with glue. sticks, but you can totally use Mod Podge if you prefer to do that, we're going to put a photo on each side of our block and one on the bottom, you're just going to leave one side open and that's where we're going to We'll be putting our hanger and doing some of our decorations.
I have to say I love these ornaments, they turned out even better than I thought and I love how you can personalize them for each person in your family. I made one for each one. one for my grandchildren and one for my husband and I and I just can't get over them. I'll probably end up going back and buying more Dice and making more. I think these would be perfect for kids too. Cut out any pictures they would like to put on the side, they can choose photos of themselves or their favorite cartoon characters, you can even put names on the side or monograms, there are so many possibilities when it comes to these little ornaments once you get them.
I have all. of my photos there now I'm going to use a mod podge and I'm going to go over them and just seal them now. This is why I had to stamp my photos when using a Mod Podge inkjet printer. It will cause the ink to bleed if you don't seal it, you can use hairspray for this but since I had my clear acrylic sealer on hand I went ahead and used it if you print them somewhere that has a LaserJet printer, no. I need to do that now, once our Mod Podge is dry, we're going to start adding our hangers here.
I marked the center of my dies on the top and then I just take my little eye screws and screw them in since this is foam. They entered very easily. I bought my eye screws from Hobby Lobby, but you can get them at Home Depot Walmart pretty much anywhere once they're there. I take a piece of tape. I think I cut it about 10 inches and run it through that. small eye screw and then I tie a knot in the end and that gives me a loop to hang. Now I'm going to take a little piece of that Pine Garland tie that I bought from the Dollar Tree and just wrap it up. that eye screw and then I glue it in place so it stays and I cut off some of my little berries and glue two on each side and that gives me my adorable little ornament.
Now I'll show you this again. Very easy, you just use any ribbon you want, they are personalized so beautifully and you are going to put them through your little hooks, there you will make them as long as you want. I used about 10 inches and thought it turned out perfect. but I had them in a small tree. If you are using them on a larger tree, you may want to use a longer ribbon for my Pine Garland. I just cut it into thirds and it worked perfectly for these little dies and then I used two. of my little berries on each side and once you glue them all, this project will be finished, thank you.
These Ray Don-inspired farmhouse tag ornaments from design company Raspberry Avenue are really cute, but four of them will set you back $19. We're going to do this for a lot less. We're going to use some wooden labels from Dollar General. You get eight in a pack for 1.97. Some Waverly chalk paint in ink. Some small unfinished wooden beads. Some twine. Some words of your choice. I went ahead and sketched mine out for Dimension, some tape from the Dollar Tree, an arteza gel pen blank, some chalk, my glue gun, and some glue sticks, so the first thing we're going to do is paint our little ornaments .
I'm using Waverly Chalk Paint in Ink, but you can also use chalkboard paint from Dollar General. It would work just as well. I'm going to paint the front, back, and all sides of these and let them dry. It only took one coat to get good coverage. Now that our paint is dry, we're going to add our text. I went ahead and sketched mine because I was afraid that if I started doing it with pen I would get the dimensions wrong and it would be over. have to paint over it and start over and this was easier for me but you can skip this if you don't want to have to do it if you don't trust your handwriting either, you can also write them using like the thin font and then transfer them to your embellishments the same way I do it here.
I just scribble some chalk on the back and then place it on my ornament. Trace over it and put my letters on my ornament. Now I'm going to use my arteza white gel pen and fill them in if you don't have these pins. I really love these but if you don't have any you can use a paint pen or Rider chalk or you can just use paint and a small brush to fill them in I love how versatile these little ornaments are you can use whatever words you want I chose hope , peace, Christmas and joy, but you can use like Maria or use your family members' names and make these personalized ornaments, and I think they would be super cute.
I went ahead and picked out 12 of my small beads and cut four of my pieces of thread to about 12 inches long. Now I'm going to take my thread and I'm going to run it through my entire tag and then I'm going to tie a knot at the top. I'm going to feed three of my unfinished beads and I'll tie a knot at the top and then I'll tie another knot at the end leaving a loop and that's all there is to do, we'll do it one more time, we'll put our thread in a knot of tie, we will put our three beads, we will make a knot, then we will go to the end of the thread, we will make another knot and we will leave a loop.
I'm going to do this for each one. I'm going to use my lighter and burn those little hairs. I think that just gives it a more finished look and then we're going to do our bows. To make our bow, I take my ribbon. and I fold the ends over each other and then I pinch it in the center and that gives me a loop on each side. I take a piece of twine, wrap it around the center a few times and tie it in a knot. finishes and we have a bow, we're going to use a little bit of hot glue and stick it right on top of our tag.
We will do it one more time. I take my ribbon and fold the ends over each other forming two loops. lift up the top center piece of twine in the center, then you're going to trim those ends, adjust the bow, glue it to the top of your tag and once you do this for all of them, this project is done. I'm going to use this little frame I recently bought at Dollar Tree. I'm going to use White Waverly chalk paint. A small piece of this pink and white striped fabric. Some scrapbooking paper I bought at Michael's.
It's called sugar. and Sparkle and I are going to use this leaf, some faux fur trim ribbon, some light pink tooling tape, a very small screw eye, some fake pearls, a rose for Triumph and also my hot glue gun, so the first thing you want to do is first remove from I'll remove all the stickers from this frame and then I'll remove the hanger on the back and then I'll just deconstruct the frame, clean up those edges with a screwdriver and remove any excess glue, then remove it. the center part remove the paper and then I'm going to remove the paper from this backing as well.
I like my projects to look as finished as possible and I don't reallyIt takes a long time to go through this process and now I'm going to give my frame the inside, outside, front and back with a really good coat of my White Waverly chalk paint. I had to go back and touch up some areas, so it took about a coat and a half to get it really good. good coverage and then I'm also going to paint that little centerpiece that I took out of the frame I'm going to paint it with my White Waverly chalk paint as well and at first I painted the whole thing, but then you'll come back and see me remove the largest part and only be left with one part and while our Mod Podge is drying, I'm going to go ahead and apply a thick, heavy layer of mod podge to the bottom part. of my frame and I'm going to straighten out my fabric there and make sure it's lined up so my stripes aren't crooked and then I'm going to put a layer of mod podge on top as well and then I'm going to cut out one of my Santas for my scrapbook paper and then I'll get out of the camera and cut it out and that's when I decided my Santa was a little small for that big piece so I tore off the backing and just used the small thick part and glued it to the back of my Santa now I'm going I'm going to put a point right in the middle of the top of my frame and then I'm going to screw my screw eye into the top and then I'm going to take a piece of those beads and cut a section, then I'm going to use some floral wire , I'll wrap it around the bottom and reseal it and then attach it to the screw eye at the top of my frame and then make a simple loop.
From this faux fur I'm going to use a chenille stem to secure it in the middle and I'm just going to cut that piece out and then I'm going to take a piece of this pink tool and I'm going to shape it into a bow and then I'm going to use my chenille stem to I'm also going to attach it on top of my Furbo and then when I have it how I wanted and fluffy I'll just cut off the excess and tuck those wires into the bow and then I'll take some hot glue and place a rose right in the center to hide the chenille stem.
Now I'm cutting off the excess because my fabric has dried out, just cutting out the background and then we're going to replace it on our frame and once we put it on, I added a little bit of hot glue to secure those corners and now I'm going to put my Santa on. I'm just going to center it top to bottom and side to side on my frame and then all that's left to do is place our bow on top with a little bit of hot glue there as well and with that our little piece is complete, this would look cute on a tiered tray or just hanging on the Christmas tree Merry Christmas in July everyone hey everyone it's Trish for In this project I'm going to use some of this white with silver glitter tool from Hobby Lobby.
It costs 3.99 a roll, but they go on sale for 50 off every two weeks. One of these silver filigree wings from the jewelry section. These are jewelry. They're at Hobby Lobby, it's 3.99, you get five in a pack, but they put them on sale for fifty percent off every three weeks. Some silver laces from Hobby Lobby, this is in the ribbon section for 50 off so they were a dollar. Some silver Hobby beads. Lobby, this was in the ribbon section for 50 off, so two dollars and there's a lot of these, one of these white foam vase filler balls from the Dollar Tree, this was in a white and silver package and my glue gun and some glue sticks, so we will need to cut our tool into strips and I have found that the easiest way to do this is to find something that is approximately the length you want to cut and then wrap it around as many times as necessary.
Stop, I'm using this little gold book that was eight inches long and this will give me 16 inch strips. I wrapped it eight times but I didn't end up needing to let's cut the bottom of this and this. he's going to give me my strips I'm making an angel I have a friend who loves them and this one is perfect for an ornament or you can use it as an ornament for a special gift now that I have them cut I'm kind enough to put them together in the center and try them with those wings but I found out that they were too thick so I'm just going to use five pieces of my tool, you don't need to wrap it as many times as I only needed five pieces, so I'm going to find my center and crumple it in the middle.
I'm going to take a little piece of that cord and I'm going to tie it right there in the center as tight as I can make a knot and then I'm going to trim it, this will help hold it up every time I put it over my wings. Now I'm just going to fluff it up a little bit trying to adjust that bead making sure it's in the center, it wasn't. now I'm going to take my wings and stick them in there and just form this around those wings, then we'll use another piece of that cord and I'll wrap it right under the wings. high waist about six times tied in a double knot and then cut it out, don't throw those pieces away, although we will use them now, I'm just going to fluff it up and I saw that I didn't have any.
My tools are centered, but that's okay, we'll just cut them out and then we'll take that little foam ball and glue it on for the head. I'm just going to use a drop of my Hot Glue, this one had a little hole in it or something so I made sure to put it on the bottom and it worked fine. We'll keep it there until it settles and then we'll grab some of these little silver ones. beads and we are going to use them for a Halo. I measured it to see how many I needed and ended up with about eight.
I think that's what I said. I'm going to put a drop of glue on the back. her head and I put one end on it and then I put another little drop next to it and then I wrapped it around and I glued the other end and this is going to go around her head and I left it up so it looked like a halo for a hanger, let's take that piece of cord that we cut, we tie a knot making a loop and then we are going to glue it to the back of his head with a small drop of glue and with that, this project will be finished.

Use one of these cheetah print slippers from Dollar Tree and one of these ball knobs from Hobby Lobby to make a gnome ornament.
I made something similar to this last year but my granddaughter loves cheetahs so when I saw these I knew I had to make one for her too, we're going to make this one a little different than we did last year, we'll just start by opening that seam on the back of the sneaker, you're going to cut that out and then I just went ahead and rounded it off to start doing my beard. Now you see I'm playing with it, taking it out to see how I want the hat to look and of course I wanted it to be more pointed. so I turned it over and cut it so it had a point at the top.
Now I'm just going to put some hot glue in there, press it down and let it dry completely once it's dry. I'm going to turn it over again, but make sure it's dry because it will open if you don't. I had to repair mine in a small place. I used my scissors and got my point back and then I decided I wanted my hat to be a little bit shorter so you can see I just went in and cut out some of those pieces and you have to put hot glue in there because it makes two pieces when you do that. and you want to seal them together and then I kept cutting it until I was happy with the size of my hat.
Now I'm going to trim it around and remove some of that fur that's on the inside of That sneaker. I didn't want it to show so much around my nose, so I kept trimming it until I was happy with how it looked. Once we're happy with that, I'll just use some hot glue on that. ball knob and I glue it right there on that little curved part of that sneaker that works perfectly for this, then I just pull it down a little bit, push a little bit of hair under there and then glue it so it all fits over there. and voila, we have a little gnome.
I didn't like that his beard was so long. You could leave it that long if you wanted, but I just trimmed mine, just cut it, and then I had to glue those two pieces together. together and now once we finished that part I decided he needed a little pom pom on his hat so I glued one right there on top to make a hanger. For this, I'm just going to use some twine. I put it through my darning needle and then I put it through the back of this and once I get it through I'll just tie it into a knot at the end this leaves a loop we'll trim it and once I get this project done thanks Hi everyone, I'm Trish.
You all know I've loved making some embellishments, so I ordered a box of these little mini embroidery hoops on Amazon. You get 12 in a box and I think I paid like 11.99 for it. If I can find the link I will put it below if you are interested in purchasing some. We're going to use these and all the different types of parts and Bobs that I have. I have some greenery, some fabrics, some decorations. some, you name it, we have them and I thought today we would make some decorations with them. Now we're not going to do all 12, but we're going to do nine, so I'm going to give you a lot of ideas to In this first one we're just going to unscrew that little screw at the top, this loosens it up and then I'm going to turn the center piece until it's in front of it and this is going to form a little orb and then I squeeze it. that screw and that will hold it in place.
I went ahead and put just a small dab of hot glue in there, although in case you never know, for this one I decided I wanted it to be white. I'm going to paint a couple. I will dye one of these, but I will leave most of them natural. This is up to you. These are just ideas, you can do it however you want and whatever matches your decor, so I took my Waverly white chalk paint and I gave this orb a good coat of paint inside and out and let it dry now that it's dry .
I want to hang a small ornament inside. I was going to use one of these from the Dollar Tree but then I remembered that I had bought this box of ornaments at the thrift store, so I pulled it out and found a red and gold one that I liked better. I'm going to use one of those little gold cords from that package to hang this with just a string. I run it through there and then I bring it up over the top and I tie it now, I probably should have done it another way, but it ends up working.
I put a small bead of glue in there and it held it in place perfectly. I'm going to cut it out and now we have a little orb ornament to hang. I'm going to use some of this lace from Joann. I cut about 11 inches, tie a knot at the end, trim it, and then roll it up. around the entire screw I should have wound it and will do so in the future, but on this one I wound it, took it out and it held up well. I used a little glue and it worked. I'm going to use a little piece of the pine garland ties that you get from the Dollar Tree and I'm going to wrap it around that screw just to give it some greenery and then I'm going to use some of these little foam balls to fill in vases. . that you get from the Dollar Tree.
I have all different colors. I'm going to put two red and one gold on each side and when I glue them on this ornament it will be finished. Now we're going to go straight from one to The next one of these I'll show you at the end what they all look like, but I thought it would be easier to continue with this one. I'm going to use a piece of lace that came from an old dress that I bought at a thrift store a while ago. I've been using pieces. I just ran them through the bottom or inner ring and then put the outer ring on top and tightened the screw as much as it would be tightened now.
I'm just going to use a pair of pruning shears, you need the small ones to get close and I cut this lace as close to the hoop as I could and it will stay on now. I love these wooden snowflake stickers from the Dollar Tree so I grabbed one of those and used a little hot glue to hold it in place. I never trust that little sticker on the back. I always remove it now. I wanted to put a little shine on this, you know. In my case, I can't leave anything just natural, so I took some mod podge and put it on the metal part of this embroidery hoop and then dipped it in my fake snow and it gave it a little shine, which made me loves. now I'm going to use some white ribbon, this is what I chose for a hanger.
I cut 11 inches and tie a knot at the end, you'll see me do this nine times. I push that loop through that screw. little opening there and then I go through it on its own and that finished that ornament now for the next one I wanted to use another one of these little snowflakes but this time I'm going to paint it white and while it's still wet I'm going to put a little bit of glitter on it iridescent just to give it a little shine, so I decided to go ahead and paint this hoop as well, so I'm going to use the same Waverly chalk paint in white and I'm going to paint the inside and outside of both sections of my hoop, once is dry, this time I will use some cloth.
I'm using some leftover fabric that I've had saved for years. I pass it through the inner ring and thenI push the outer ring on top tighten it and then once again we'll trim it and get it as close to that ring as possible. This will keep it in place. I promise you as long as you get it. that tight screw is not going to come out now you can use any fabric here this is just something I had on hand once I cut it out I'm going to take my little snowflake and this time I'm going to glue it right there in the center, that's where I wanted it .
It would have been nice. You know, in this one we're also going to use a little more of that white ribbon for a tie. I just cut it and tied a knot. Roll it up and roll it up on itself and then I'll use some of this greenery from the Dollar Tree. They look like eucalyptus leaves to me, but it's frosted, so I cut off a couple little pieces and I'm going to glue them there on the top right under that screw and then once I glue them on, I like those white berries that were there , but I didn't want to use them, so I grabbed some more of that vase filler from the Dollar.
Tree. I glued three pieces together and this ornament is finished. This time I'm going to dye my hoop. I want it to have a more rustic look and a more natural look. You can use anything you want to dye. You can use paint diluted with normal stain. I like to use these furniture repair markers from the Dollar Tree, so I grabbed one in Walnut that is my favorite and dyed both loops. Now I'm going to use some of this burlap ribbon. I bought this at Hobby Lobby and I'm going to put a little bit of glue around the hoop this time because this burlap is very open and I wasn't sure it wouldn't come apart on me, then I put the outer hoop on and tightened it like I did before and then we are.
I'm just going to trim it as close to the hoop as possible and now we have a burlap ornament for this one. I'm going to use one of these laser cut stars from The Dollar Tree. I love them and I love them. I'm just going to hot glue it right in the center. This was really monochrome so I took my chippy brush and some white paint and drew it around the star and the ring just to give it a little dimension and now I go. I used some hanger twine on this one, but I do it the same way.
I just thread it through that little screw there and then I'm going to take a little bit more twine. I wrap it around my fingers about three or four times and slide it on. wrap another piece of twine around the center and tie it in a knot, then you cut it out and you have this cute little bow of twine, we're going to fluff it up and then we're going to glue it right there at the base of that ornament. tails and this ornament is finished for the next ornament, we are going to use some of these little trees with mini bottle brushes.
I bought mine at Hobby Lobby, but they also sell them at Dollar Tree and I'm going to use one of these little ones. golden deer from Hobby Lobby now I'm going to take the bottom off, that's how I like to use them and I'm going to take a little piece of this car wash cloth that I get from the Dollar Tree, I cut it up and I'm going to stick it on the bottom there to that looks like snow. I also put a little bit of glue there on the front and press it down so it covers that area as well.
Now I'm going to take my deer and I'm holding them there so I can see where my tree should go and then I decided to use it all to punch a little hole in that embroidery loop, you don't have to do this, that's what I chose to do and then I put a little glue on that wire and I glue that tree right there where I make that hole now I'm going to make one on the other side of my snow for my other little tree I just make a little hole there put a little more glue there and stick it on the other side.
I also decided to put a little dot of glue on the base of that tree, that bigger tree, just to hold it in place, then we're going to take our little deer and I'm going to put a little bit of glue on its feet and glue it right in front and then I'll put a little bit in the butt just to keep it in place and it also helps hold that tree there. I used a little piece of gold. The cord that I had from those hanger ornaments on this one we do the same way we did the other ones, twisting it and then I'm going to use some of that frosted eucalyptus bush from the Dollar Tree that I cut down. a little bit and then I stick it right on top under that screw and this gives me a little bit of decoration.
This time I'm going to use three of the gold vase filler balls and then this little ornament will be finished, good for this. On one we're going to use a little more of that red and white cord from Joanne's and we're going to make another hanger and go ahead and wrap it the same way we did the other ones, but on this one we're going to make like a simple little wreath. I'm going to use some of this Pine Garland tie from the Dollar Tree. I cut out a couple pieces and I'm going to glue them around the ornament, but I'm just going to do that.
If you know a quarter, then I'm going to use some of this frosted fern and put that in there as well, we'll just glue it on like you would with the large embroidery hoop. wreaths we are just making a miniature version. I'm going to glue a piece on the other side too, then I'm going to use three of those little red filler balls, glue them together, and this one will be finished this time. Let's make another of the little wreaths. Let's use some more of that Joanne's cord tied in a knot. Pass it through the screw that forms our hanger and this time we are going to take our pine garland. we tie it up and we're going to stick it up there in the center and we're just going to curve it.
I even put a small bead on the ends to keep it in place. Now I want to use one of those little 3D ones. words, I get them from the decal parts department at Hobby Lobby and I'm going to paint them with my Crimson chalk paint and let them dry and while that's drying I'm going to use some ribbon that I bought from Joanne's and I'm going to make a simple bow for Loop just twisting it around itself, then I use some thread, wrap it around the center and tie it in a knot and that gives me a nice bow that we're going to cut out. then we're going to take another little piece of that ribbon and we're going to stick it around it just to cover that thread so you can't see it now, you might know you could have done this at the beginning instead of tying it off, but this is how I do it.
I'm going to stick that bow right there in the center and then I'm going to put a little bit of that frosty fern coming out of the edges just to give it a little more interest. I thought it was pretty. You could leave it as it was, but I like it. Then I use my paintbrush and some paint and give that little pine garland some glitter. I stick my word and this. one is finished for this one, it will also be quite simple. I'm going to use some Frosted Fern from the Dollar Tree and I'm going to glue two pieces right there on the top that comes out from under that screw and then I'm going to use three of those foam filler balls and I'm going to glue them on the center and I think it's cute like this, but we're going to use one of these gem ornaments that I bought.
Walmart last year hang from these little silver cords. I put a little glue in there to make sure it stayed firm and now I'm going to glue it on. I probably should have put it in before putting in my Greenery, but oh. well, we live and learn. I pushed it through that little screw and tied it in a knot. Then I'm just going to put a little bit of glue in there to hold it in place and cut it out. I'm going to put another little bit. of glue on the inside to hold it in place and that's going to give me my little hanging ornament in the center.
I'm going to use another piece of that cord that I'm stealing from another one of those little ornaments and we're going to use it for our hanger just like we did with the rest and once we have it finished on this ornament for the last one, I'm going to use an old sweater from the thrift store and I'll use this little sign I created. and printed on my computer on cardstock. I will now link to this little poster below if you would like a copy. I just printed it out cut out all my little pieces and then punched little holes in the top use whatever you have to punch and now I'm going to use some baker's thread from the Dollar Tree and I'm just going to thread my letters from one side to the another until I have them all there and it's going to say Mary, make sure you're careful with this because it's easy to tear, so I'm going to take that sweater and I like that cable knit there, so I'm going to open that loop as much as I can.
I put the inside loop on the inside and then I'm going to put my banner on top because I want that thread to get caught between those loops but not the paper, so be careful, keep playing with it and you'll be able to get it in there, I put the outside loop on it, I tighten it and then I'm going to cut off that long piece that was left and we're going to use it for the hanger. Everyone knew we weren't going to waste. and we're going to take our scissors, cut our sweater as close as we can to our little Loop there and then I'm going to use some hot glue and I'm going to glue the m's and the white and this just helps keep it in place, we're going to add our hanger right there at the top and then I had this little piece that I removed from an ornament for a while.
I hated the tape that was on it, but I like greenery, so I took it apart. We're going to use that greenery and stick it up there, right under our little screw, and I'm going to take a little bit more tape. This is a piece from Joanne's and I'm just going to make a simple little bow with a shoelace. I wrap it around itself, I tie a little bit of ribbon around the middle tied in a knot and I trim it, that gives me a bow, let's trim those ends and glue it right there. in the middle now I like those little red berries so let's glue one on each side and then this ornament will be finished thanks everyone, I'm Kay for this project.
I'm going to use one of these. The wood planks I bought at Dollar Tree measure four and a half inches by four and a half inches, come six to a pack, and are a nice thick finished wood. I'm going to use some of these wooden beads I bought. at Walmart last year I'm going to use this wood decal. I'm using the word Joy. This came in a sticker pack I bought at Hobby Lobby when they were 50 off. I'm going to use one of these Christmas napkins. I bought it last year when it was about 90 percent off and I think they came from the supermarket.
I'm going to use this folk art chalk paint in the color Imperial, which is red. I'm going to use some Waverly chalk paint. in the color malachite which is a beautiful green and then I'll also use White Waverly chalk paint and finally some mod podge and my hot glue gun. I love how these pieces come in a resealable package and are simply very easy to remove the seal and use later. The first thing I'm going to do is paint the edges of my piece with red Imperial chalk paint and then I used painter's tape once it was dry around the edges, as if to form a trough so I could paint both sides with the white paint to jaw at the same time and that's what I did.
I just painted to the edges and then decided I didn't like the white on the back and did that. Go back and paint it red once it's dry. I came in with my mod podge and I'm going to put a good coat in the vertical direction and then let it dry and then I'll come back and give it I put another coat of mod podge in the horizontal direction and then let it dry as well. Now I'm just going to cut my neck and was disappointed to find out that you can only do two per napkin and then I have to separate it. course in a single layer and that took forever with this napkin, but I was careful not to tear it and it tore and then I'm going to put it down, check my space, no, all three don't fit in there, but I'm going to get everything I can and then I'm going to place something on top.
You can use parchment paper. I just couldn't find mine so I'm using this Teflon sheet and I'm just going to Iron my piece it will reactivate the glue and it will hold beautifully and there won't be any wrinkles so I'm just going to go in with my sanding block and remove all the edges of the napkin, very easy. and now we're going to apply a coat of mod podge on top of our pieces and seal it good and now I'm going to go with my word joy and I'm just going to cut it out of the plastic and then I'm going to paint it green. because I had forgotten that I hadn't decided where I was going to put it or what color and once it's dry I'm going to use a little hot glue on the back and I'm just going to glue it right here to the ornament that does have a back adhesive.
I glued it on, but I didn't think it was enough, so I added a little glue to reinforce it, then I decide how many beads I want and I'm just going to use the string they originally came tied in a pair with. of knots and then glue it to the back of this piece and yes, I have some touch ups on my piece on the back because I left the wax paper on there and it melted and caused the paint to fade, don't do that. Make sure you put something hard underneath before you start putting on the napkin and ironing it and now let's just put those beads on.
I'll do my touch up later and this project will be complete. Thank you. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use one of these round, clear ornaments from Dollar Tree. A flat, clear ornament from Dollar Tree. Some alphabet beads. I bought mine at Walmart, but you can get them at any craft store. Some fake snow from Dollar Tree. Some greenery from an old garland, some berries I bought from the Dollar Tree and my glue gun and some glue sticks. I love these transparent ornaments. There are so many things you can fill them with and for this one I thought it would be great to fill it with some of my favorite words.
I took these accountsof the alphabet I had and I took them out. I took out the letters to spell faith and then attached them just using a little hot glue between them and gluing them and they held up perfectly once I was done faith I started looking and I had a ribbon that said believe and I had an extra embellishment so I thought that it would be cool to make one that said believe too. I picked my lyrics and then put them together exactly the same way I did my faith. I just put a little hot glue between them.
Now we're going to take the lid off our ornaments and add some fake snow, as much as you want. I think I did a couple inches on each one and then we're going to drop it. our words there you want to move them but you can see them from all sides. I drop some greenery. I put in a couple of those bright red berries and then put the caps back on. I wanted to make a bow for each one and sorry guys, I was out of camera range when I was doing this. I didn't realize it, but all I do is take my ribbon, fold it over each other so I have a loop on each side, and then use it. a little bit of tape to sync the middle and that gives me a little arc.
I'll link to our tutorial for making bows above on the cards and below if you want to go check it out if you're having trouble with bows, but this is the simplest bow you can make. I'm going to cut out that back and then glue them to the top of each of my ornaments on the base of the hat for the hanger. I simply cut another piece of tape and determine how much time I have. I want it to be that way, so I chain it together, tie a knot at the end and once you do that to both of them, this project is finished, thank you.
Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use this vintage Victorian looking frame. that I found at Goodwill Outlet by 39 Cent this beautiful rug that our friend Vicky sent us in a happy mail one of these pieces totally bedazzled, I'm not sure which one yet a little ivory chalk paint and a pink ballet slipper one tape and my glue gun and some glue sticks. I love using these vintage frames in different projects. If you've been with us for a while you'll know that I'm pretty obsessed with them and when I saw this Victorian looking frame in the outlet I knew it.
Immediately what I wanted to do with it, so we're going to take it apart. I had an image. I threw it away and threw away the glass. I don't need it and I'm going to paint the base of this. or the backing with my pink ballet slipper now I paint both sides you only see me do this on one but I wanted it to match you don't have to paint the back of yours but I thought it looked better than that bright blue now For my frame I go I'm going to use my ivory chalk paint and give it two good coats.
Again, you don't have to paint this, but I wanted to tone down that gold a little bit and make the details of this pop once we paint it. it's dry, I use a piece of sandpaper, this is just the sandpaper you get from the Dollar Tree, and I go over it pretty hard to make this detail pop. Now it didn't look as golden as before, but it was okay. with that I loved how it looked and I loved the way the details on this one look now, let's work on our insert. I wanted to use this beautiful mat that Vicki sent us and I hated cutting it.
I'm not going to lie, I did, but I love how the pink pops through this and how beautiful it looks in the center of this frame, so I went ahead and glued it to my center making sure I had it as centered as possible. possible and then I trimmed it now, no. Worry, I'll use up the rest of this dolly and a few other projects. I'm not going to let it go to waste, so we just replaced our backing on our frame and this was all tight, now we're going to take one of those pieces. of being totally bedazzled and I'm going to use some hot glue and stick it right there in the center of this to make a hanger.
I just cut a piece of ribbon, fold it in half and we're going to use that little Bow there on the back of this, thread it through and then tie a knot leaving a bow, cut it out and this project is done Hello everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use this little tag that I bought from Dollar General. I bought this at the end of the summer season, but they sell them for all seasons for a dollar and they are the perfect size to make a large ornament for your tree. A tape I bought from Dollar General.
Some Waverly. white chalk paint some twine a furniture repair marker from the Dollar Tree some words that I printed from my computer and my glue gun and some glue sticks so the first thing I'm going to do is take my tag apart, I removed the hanger and I removed the sticker on the back, then I took that little round piece off the front and then I started working on removing this paper. It was a little difficult, but I used my heat tool and my sanding block and I was finally able to get it done. Clean once our label is completely clean.
I'm going to use my Waverly chalk paint and give it two good coats of paint. I'm painting the front, back and all sides of this. I don't want any of that pressed board to show. and then I'll set it aside and let it dry completely. I'm going to use that little piece that I took out and I'm going to take a furniture repair marker and I'm just going to stain it black. I stain the front, sides and inside and let it dry to make the text on my sign. I'm going to use the method that everyone sees used all the time.
It is one of my favorites. I simply cut out the words I printed and then scribbled. on the back of them with a graphite pencil I place it on my label and trace over the letters and this will transfer them to my project. You can also use carbon paper for this once I transfer my letters to my project. I'm just going to use my graphic illustration markers that I get from Hobby Lobby and fill them in now. You can also use Sharpies or any type of permanent pen. If you have a nice steady hand, you can even use paint and a small brush for this. to complete the letters and make them stand out now that we've finished the letters, I'm going to take my tape and measure it to see how much we're going to wrap around this.
I'm going to remove the cable. of this because it was wired tape and then I'm going to glue that little piece up now we're going to wrap our ribbon and glue that on as well. I'll fold under that end so you don't have a jagged end and glue it on top of itself, then I'll take my twine because the hanger on this one was really thick. I decided to use regular twine. I simply measured a piece, folded it in half, and threaded it through the knot. at the end and I trim it and then I take it and I put it through that loop and I tighten it and I have a hanger.
I'm going to use a little more of that thread and wrap it around my tag about four or five times widthwise. my ribbon and then I tie it in a double knot and then I wrap it around my fingers about six or seven times and I cut it and we take it off and we fold it in half and that will give us a little bow and then I'll tie it in the middle with That string that we left and that gives us our bow, we will fluff it and trim it and use a DOINT of glue and with that it will be finished.
We love hearing from you. "All of this really makes our day. Be sure to write in the comments and let us know which project is your favorite. If you have any suggestions, leave them there too. We love seeing all the ideas you have. Hello everyone." I'm Trish, for this project we're going to use this old spool of tape I saved from the trash, a sheet of black foam, but you can also use felt, some white Waverly chalk paint and ink, some greenery, and leftover berries from my stash, a snowflake from the Dollar Tree, some black ribbon, some iridescent glitter and my glue gun and some glue sticks.
I love taking trash and turning it into something really cute that you can still use and I always seem to have a lot of these spools of ribbon, so I thought: I turned it into an ornament. I removed one side of the spool and then took a pencil and traced both the large side and the small side on my foam sheet and cut it out now, if you don't have this foam sheet you can easily use felt or cardstock or even cardstock just use what whatever you have on hand, now we are going to paint our reel.
I'm using my Waverly chalk paint in the colored ink and I'm painting the tube and just the top of the bottom. part of the reel, if that makes sense, you don't have to paint the background because we'll cover it while it dries. I'm going to go ahead and paint my snowflake. I'm using my Waverly chalk paint in the color white and I'm just painting the top of this and while the paint is still wet I'm going to sprinkle on some glitter and then let it dry before putting this together. I want to go ahead and add my hanger so I cut I take a piece of that ribbon and I thread it onto a darning needle then I just push it down through the top of that foam and then I pull it up the back bottom, I tie it in a knot leaving a loop, cut it out and you have a hanger.
Now we can glue it to the top of our hat, we're just going to use a little bit of hot glue up there, make sure its hanger is sticking out, and then we're going to use a little bit of hot glue on the bottom and glue that other piece on. Now is the time. To decorate I'm just going to use some of this greenery that I had in my stash, we're going to glue it right there on the brim of our hat and then I'm going to use some of these little holly berries and glue them right on.
In the center of that now we'll take that little snowflake and we'll use a little bit of hot glue on two of the tips of this and we'll glue it right there and with that this project will be finished. thank you foreigner for this project. I'm going to make a very simple and elegant Christmas ornament and I'm going to use some of these plastic cups I bought at Dollar Tree. I'm going to use Waverly chalk paint. in the ivory color, a ribbon decoration that has roses and pearls. I'm going to use some of that ribbon that was used to make that ornament and also some of those little roses that I bought at Walmart, some sheer pink ribbon and also some grosgrain ribbon and finally my hot glue gun.
These are champagne flutes and of course they are disposable and come in a little six pack at Dollar Tree. I'm going to use two of them and I won't need the backgrounds that Came with them and we're going to put them together like this, but the first thing you're going to want to do is give my two pieces a really good coat of this Waverly chalk paint in ivory. I think ivory works best. for shabby chic, but that's just a personal preference and I painted them separately. This took two coats. Now I'm going to take hot glue and I have it on a low temperature and I'm going to connect these two pieces together with just a little bit. hot glue now I'm going to take that ribbon ornament and I'm going to place it around the middle and that will hide where the two pieces are connected and then it will start to look more like a Christmas ornament, now I'm going to Take some of that clear pink ribbon and after I cut a piece off, I tied a knot at the end and then I'll take the pieces that are glued down and attach them to the sides of the top piece of that ornament and then I'll Glue the knot all the way to the top to give it a little more security and then I'll take a little bit more of that pink textured tape and put it around the top, which tapes those sides together and hides everything. of the extra things that we don't want and then I'm also going to put a piece on the bottom, just mirror that and then I'm going to put little rows of ribbons on the bottom where the two pieces meet and on the top where two pieces meet and then I had this little grosgrain bow to put on top and there's our finished piece, it's pretty simple but you can add anything you want to it.
Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project I'm going to use. this rose print fabric I purchased from Joanne Fabrics this pattern I printed I will link it in the description box below if you would like a copy, a stick from my garden, a crochet tablecloth from Goodwill Outlet, you can also use one dolly some lace ribbon from the Dollar Tree some beads and buttons from my stash some batting I bought it at Goodwill Outlet but you can also use the inside of an old pillow my glitter art glue my glue gun and some glue sticks and a pair of scissors, so the first thing we are going to do is fold our fabric, pin the pattern pieces and cut them out.
Let's make some shabby chic decorations. I know it's not Christmas yet, it's still summer, but Kay and me. I thought it would be fun to participate in the Christmas in July series. Now we're not going to kill them with Christmas projects, we were just going to spread them throughout the month. Now I'm going to take my pattern pieces and lay them out. face up, I put a line of glue around the edge making sure to leave an opening so I can turn them, then I place the other piece right on top and smooth it out, making sure they are facing each other now let's go.
To do the same thing with our tree, I'm using glitter art glue, you can use fabric glue, whatever glue you want to use. I don't like using hot glue for this because it makes it difficult to turn your project once I have it. everything lined up and pressed I leave it for about 30 minutes to dry once it's dry we're going to come back and we're going to turn them over, you just throw it through that little opening and you went and turned them over. and then I'm using oneOf my stamping tools I got from the Dollar Tree, it has one of those round ends to help get those corners out.
I do that for each of the corners of the tree and for those two corners of the middle, so you just want something like that. use your finger and round as much as you can now let's fill these in. I'm using some of this batting I bought from Goodwill Outlet, you don't need much of this. I didn't want mine. I really filled it in really tight I just want it to be a little puffy once I had the amount of rod in there I turned those edges down put my stick in the middle of the tree and then I glued the edges together now we're going to fill in our stocking the same way, we're just going to put a little bit of our batting in there, make sure you know it's pretty well filled, then we're just going to twist under those edges.
I'm going to take my lace ribbon cut. a piece for a hanger, I folded it in half and glued it to the side, then I used some hot glue to glue the seam, now let's decorate our stocking pieces. I wanted to use some of this lace ribbon from the Dollar Tree, so I just put a drop of glue on it and then stick it on top, trim it there and finish those edges with a little more glue. I thought some pearls might look pretty on this, so I put another drop of glue and then glued my pearls on top.
Now I'm going to take this crochet tablecloth that I bought at Goodwill Outlet and I'm going to cut off a piece and use it to cut this out. Now this was there. Sure, because it had stains and I washed it and they don't come off, but it doesn't bother me, it makes it look older and vintage, so I just cut out a piece I like and shape it. To figure out how I want it to look, I use my hot glue and glue the edges together and then you know you just keep trimming them and pulling them until it looks the way you like, you can put these edges together and now it looks like one piece.
We will work on our tree. I'm going to cut another piece of my lace ribbon and glue it right on top and then I'm going to take one of my little pearls and glue it right in the middle. Sorry, I'm still getting my Get in there, I have to discover this new table. I'm still not very used to it. Then I'm going to decorate it using some of my old buttons. I used some that had holes in them. them and some that had handles, if they had a handle, I used my scissors and just cut them out and then used some hot glue and glued them right there.
I didn't have a rhyming reason for how I did it. This I just added sporadically until I liked how it looked, like I would make my ornaments on my real tree abroad. S I took that piece of that lace tablecloth that I cut and I'm going to take some pieces of this to cut out my tree. I figured out what Edge I liked and then I just trimmed it to get it as close as possible, you know, to make it look like it's just one solid piece and then I used my hot glue and glue. until I get to an edge, then I keep taking the same piece and find pieces I like, I cut them out and glue them around each edge now, if you don't have one of these, like I said before, I could use a dolly.
I see them at the thrift store all the time or you could just use lace around the edge of this. It would be just as pretty and there are our finished decorations. I love these guys and can't wait to do more. These again, we won't kill them all with this year's Christmas projects. We're just going to put one or two in each of our videos through July to give you some ideas to start getting ready because you do want to do these. ahead of time and if you do craft fairs you might even want to make some for these upcoming ornaments, we'll be using more of these Scrabble tiles that I pulled out and I pulled out two of the paint stir sticks but I only ended up using one.
I had it in my head that I was going to make three of these, but I decided to go ahead and make two. It will give you the idea and you can make as many as you want, so go first. What I did was select my letters for the word Noel and the word Joy. I put them on my stick and figure out how long I want them to be, then I use a combination of my little wire cutters and my box cutter and just keep marking this until it pops off. It would have been easier to have gotten my saw, but they were being lazy, so I did it this way.
Now I wanted to tint those paint mixing sticks, so I'm using some Waverly chalk paint. in truffle I just mix it with a little bit of water and then paint it on my stick and use a paper towel and wipe it off, it gives a beautiful stain, you can see all that beautiful wood grain and it dries instantly so it is ready to use. Now I need to make a hole in the top of my sticks and I'm just using a hole punch. I bought it all in the sewing department at Hobby Lobby for 2.50 and it will hole through it pretty easily, but you can also use a drill. now we're going to run some twine through that little hole and I tie a knot right next to the wood and then a knot at the top and this gives me a loop to hang from, we're going to do this on both of them, not right next to them of the wood and then a knot on the top, now we're going to take our hot glue and I'm just going to stick my letters in there for my words.
I like to do mine at different angles just to give it a little whimsical look, but you can do them straight up if you prefer. Now I'm going to use some mod podge and I just paint it there on the edges and on the top of my letters and then I dip it in this fake snow that I bought from the Dollar Tree, all this stuff gets everywhere, I'm not going to To lie, they could use glitter here, but it will do the same thing. I thought it was really cute, you could also use regular glue, you know, Elmer's Glue. school glue for this instead of mod podge, but that's what I had on hand now to decorate the top of these.
I'm going to use a little bit of one of those pine Garland bows you get at Dollar Tree. I cut a couple of little pieces and put them right on top and then I'm going to use some of these little red berries that I had on hand from other projects, I'm going to cut two and put them on top of each one and with that this The project will be finished thanks foreigner Hello everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use one of these little wooden tags that I bought from Dollar General. They come in a pack of five.
One of these furniture repair markers from Dollar. Tree, a mini Santa hat that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I bought mine last year, but today I realized that they are starting to put out their Christmas crafts. A paw print I got from the computer. I just googled Paul SVG a bit permanent. marker from the Dollar Tree some Waverly chalk paint in white some red and white baker's twine and my glue gun and some glue sticks this is going to be quick and easy I'm going to start by staining my wood tag I'm going to be doing a little bit of distressing on this and I wanted this darker color to show through now.
This is completely optional. You can leave it. You know the natural color if you don't want to wear it out or if you want the natural wood to show through once. To stain it, I'm going to take my Waverly chalk paint and give it a really good coat on the front and back and then let it dry completely once our paint is dry. I'm going to take my paw print and doodle on the back, then place it on my tag and trace it over it. This will transfer it to my project once I have power there.
I decided I wanted to add the name too, so I wrote it on the paper to make sure my Dimensions were correct and then I'll do the same. I'm just going to doodle in Scrabble on the back and then place it. there and Trace over it and this will transfer it to my project. Now I'm just going to use one of my jot permanent markers and fill this in. You can do this by painting with a brush if you prefer. I just like control. I started with the markers and then I'll use a fine tip marker to fill in the name.
Now I'm going to take my sanding block and go over the edges of this and just distress it so it shows up. rustic I like that look and that's why I dyed it now we're going to grab some of our baker's twine. I cut a piece off, fold it in half and tie a knot, then I'm just going to push the end through there and I'm going to take that and put the ends through the loop and that's going to give me a hanger. I'm going to use one of my little mini Santa hats and I want it to sit at an angle so I put some hot glue on one corner. and I glue it on, then I'll put a little bit of hot glue on the back and turn it over and with that this project is done.
Let's make a quick farmhouse Christmas ornament. I'm using this leftover piece from a board project at the Dollar Tree This joy from the Dollar Tree a large square of fabric in Buffalo checks a mustache tape some of these floral picks a little Mod Podge a little adhesive to fix everything up Dollar Tree and some tools the first thing I'm going to do What I do is I take my mod podge and I apply it liberally to my little sign here. Of course, I'm going to smooth out my fabric and apply it to this very thick cardboard left over from that scarecrow sign I made overseas smoothing it out nice and then apply the code on top as well.
I'm going to cut about 18 inches of this black and white ribbon, I'm going to cross it and pinch it in the middle and I'm going to use a piece of that thin ribbon to tie it right in the middle to secure my bow and I'm just going to trim those edges. I'm going to cut some of this greenery off of this floral pig, as well as some of these berries. I will cut off the excess fabric that I left. I'm going to glue the greenery on the right and left on top, place the bow in the center and send some berries right in the middle of the pot to decorate it and then I'll apply the joy with some repair adhesive and there it is.
I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy farmhouse Christmas ornament which, correcting cousins, you always find a variety of crafts on our channel. Trish specializes in wood and I specialize in paper, but we cover a variety of topics like home decor. Farmhouse decor. shabby chic K specializes in wreaths and making pretty bows, there are a wide variety of projects you will find at Crafting Cousins Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use this teacup I bought at the thrift store, some bottle brush trees from the Dollar Tree, these plans. deer buttons from Hobby Lobby a small block of wood from the Dollar Tree.
I'm using this snowflake ornament, but you can also use a snow curtain or anything for snow, a small piece of ribbon, my glue gun, and some glue sticks, so the first thing I'm going to do is take one of those little wooden blocks like you get at Dollar Tree and I'll just use a little bit of hot glue and stick it on my mug. This will act as a lift now that I'm I'm going to grab one of those little snowflakes. I bought them at the thrift store, but like I said, you can get Snow Garland, they even sell it at Dollar Tree and it would work perfectly for this too.
I'm going to trim it down to fit my mug and then I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue and stick it on the back and then a little bit of hot glue on the front and now you see, it's going to cover that little block that we put there and now we have a heel . I'm going to grab one of those little bottle brush trees you get at Dollar Tree. I thought you know, let's use a different type of tree besides the little Christmas trees. I cut the bottom off because I knew I couldn't get that wire into that block and I glued it on top and now I'm going to take another one and take the little bottoms off as well.
I make a hole in my snow curtain and then I use a little bit of glue on the bottom of the tree and we stick that wire to it and now you see it's starting to look like a little forest, let's do the same thing on the other side with another one of those little trees and I I love how it looks, how pretty that little forest is. Now I'm going to take this deer and we're going to put a little glue on its legs and I'm going to put a little bit on its butt because it touches that. tree and this will help it stand up and now we have a stage, you could do this with so many different things, how nice would it be to have different scenes on your tree to make a hanger that I'm going to take. a little piece of ribbon, I tie a knot on it that makes a loop, then I'm going to trim those tails, we're going to take that and we're going to put it through the handle of the cup and then we're going to pull on the knotted end.
We go through the loop on the other side and we have a hanger. Hello everyone, I'm Trish. For this project we are going to use one of these large bales that I bought from Hobby Lobby. These were used in the Duke video we made last week. and these two had some twine left over, some ribbon, some unfinished wooden beads, some leftover greenery and berries from other projects and my glue gun and some glue sticks. I love these big bells we got from Hobby Lobby and wanted to make sure I used them. I went up them thinking they would be the perfect rustic ornaments so I cut a piece of twine about 24 inches long and then threaded it through the bell hanger.
Now I'm going to take five of those, I guess they're nice. of medium sized unfinished wood beads and I'm going to use my furniture repair marker that I buy at Dollar Tree and dye them now noyou have to dye them. I wasn't actually going to dye them, that wasn't the original idea. I was going to leave them unfinished, but we have a lot of dark furniture in our house and I thought it would go better with our theme if I stained it. You could also paint them once you have the beads ready. You are going to string them on your twine now.
I found it's easiest if you put a little hot glue on the end and then twist it and they will slide through your beads once you have all five beads. I don't tie it at the end to keep them in place. I'll take a piece of leftover greenery. This came from a garland I had and I just wrap it around the top and then I'm going to make a bow. I take my tape. and I wrap it around my fingers about three times, I slide it and pinch it in the center, then I take another piece of ribbon, these will be my tails, I measure it, cut it and lay it flat on the back, I'll take a piece of thread of embroidery and I'll wrap it around the center about three times and then I'll tie it in a double knot making sure to secure it really tight so it stays, then we'll just trim it. the ends of that and we have a little loop.
I'm going to play with my tape. I pull my tails down. I fluff my curls. You should have three on each side and then you have an adorable little bow. These are so easy to make and are so cute on these projects. To attach it to our Bell, I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue and then I'm going to stick it right there on that Greenery right above it. I link the ends of my ribbon together, I just fold them in half and cut it at an angle and I think that gives it a really pretty look.
I like to see it hanging like this now I wanted to give it a little color so I took some leftover berries that I had and cut a little bunch and stuck them there on top behind my ribbon and then I'm going to stick another little bunch right in the middle of my ribbon now we will just make a knot at the end of our thread, leave a loop to hang it, we will cut it out and this project will be finished. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use a package of these clear acrylic ornaments that I bought at Hobby Lobby.
They're 50 off, so you get eight for two dollars and fifty cents. They also sell them at Michael's. These designs I printed from the computer. I'll put a link to these in the description box below if you'd like to use any of them. for your embellishments some Waverly chalk paint in ink and crimson a Sharpie oil-based paint pencil I'm using the one with the extra fine tip and a gold metallic marker from the Dollar Tree some beads in black, white and red I bought them at Walmart during the holiday season I use red and white ribbon and my glue gun and some glue sticks.
I love making personalized ornaments and these little discs make it so easy to make all kinds of designs for your tree. These are very easy for Kids can also draw some small designs or use a coloring book, print something they have seen online and then let them trace it and they will have the cutest ornaments. You can also give them some pens. and let them draw on them themselves and there's no telling what you'll come up with for these. I designed some prints that I lit and printed and all I have to do is place my ornament on top and then I'm using my paint pen to trace over it.
Now I'm using a white Sharpie pen and I know it looks like it's not going to show up, but we're going to put some paint on the back of this and it will really make our design pop whatever color you're using, just make sure you think about the color that will be on the back so that they do not appear on each other. Now for one of these I'm personalizing it with our name and the year we got married, that opens up a lot of possibilities, you could do your name and the date you got married, you could use the kids names on their birthday, you could make monograms, there are so many things you can do with these and I really love them now, if you have a cutting machine like a cricket or a silhouette, you can cut designs out of vinyl and stick them on here, that would be easy to do too.
We like to show everyone how they can do it. However, there are different types of projects whether you have a cutting machine or not, and I think this one is perfect if you don't have a cutting machine that you can do for very little money. These also sell very well at craft fairs if you like that. That kind of thing, so we'll use our pen, paint our designs on there, and then give them a few minutes to dry. You don't want to touch them while they are still wet because they will stain once. Our designs are dry.
I'm just going to use a little bit of paint and make some light strokes on the back of the ornament. This makes your design stand out on the front. Now I didn't want mine to be perfect. You realize I did it. I didn't do the whole back and I didn't tape anything down. I want it to look like paint strokes, so I'm just lightly going over the back. I'm using half of mine in red and the other half in ink, but you can use any color that suits your decor. You're just going to apply the paint with a brush and then let it dry now that everything is dry.
I'm going to use some ribbon for my hanger. You could use that or you could use something. Tying what you like best and I found it with my ribbon. It helped if I put a small dot of hot glue on the bottom and then twisted it and it helps me be able to thread my beads for my red ornaments. I'm going to use two red beads and one white bead. I slide them over my ribbon and then I tie a knot at the top of the beads and then I go down to the base of the ribbon and I tie another knot leaving a loop and that will help you hang it.
You can use any pattern for this. You don't have to use wooden beads. It depends on you. There are so many things you can do with this. I really thought the beads made this stand out. for these I'm going to use the red and white and then when I get to the black embellishments I'm going to use a white ribbon and I'm going to switch to the black and white beads. I love getting them at Walmart. Because they are so cheap and they are already painted for you so you don't have to paint them when you are ready to use them now that I have my Hangers on.
I wanted to decorate them a little more and I did. I don't have enough red ribbon to make some little bows for the bottom of these, so for the red ones I ended up looking in my stash and had some of this frosty fern from the Dollar Tree, so I just cut off some little pieces of glue. I put it right there at the base of my beads and then I put some of these little red berries that I had in my stash right there in the middle of them. I thought that would give a nice decoration for these now in my black and white.
The ones I did have a little bit of tape on, so I'm going to make some loops with the fork. All you do is take the ribbon, put it through the fork, wrap it around the back and then place it over the top of the ribbon that you have on the front and then put it through the two middle loops right there on the bottom of all those ribbons, pull it up from the back and thread it through those middle teeth at the top and then you're going to take the two tails and you're going to tie them in a knot and you're going to have a little bow, these are the nicest little bows.
Simple and they work perfect on these types of projects once you tie it, you just remove it from the fork, cut the tails and use a little hot glue and glue. right there, at the bottom of your accounts. I'll show you this one more time. We take our tape. Wrap it over our fork. Then, you are going to cut it out. Wrap it around the back. Pull it through the middle teeth. Go back up. along the back across the top of the middle spikes and then you tie it in a knot and that gives you a bow, take it off, trim those ends and glue it and then once you do this project It will be finished.
Hello everyone, I'm Trish. For this project I'm going to use one of these wooden stars that I bought in a pack from Walmart, but they also sell them at Dollar Tree. Some Waverly chalk paint in white. A text I printed from my computer. Now you can do it. this freehand but I never trust myself to get the dimensions right so I always print my own and I will put a link to this below if you want to use this particular saying for your project, a pencil, any pencil will do to make some laces. I'm going to use this thing I bought from Dollar General, some leftover greenery I had from last year and some small red berries, a fine tip permanent marker, my glue gun, and some glue sticks, so this is going to be a really simple project I think it would be perfect to do with the kids.
The first thing I'm going to do is paint my star with my White Waverly chalk paint. I make sure to paint the front, back and sides because you will be able to. to see this from all sides when it's hanging on your tree and then once I give it a good coat we'll set it aside to dry, once my paint is completely dry I come back with a ruler and a pencil and I'm just going to lightly draw some lines that will give me the overlapping look, then I'm going to go back with my pencil and draw them a little thicker so they look better and I take My finger and I'm going to go over it and this will blend it and give it a smoother appearance, then I take my pencil and I go over all the edges of my star and this is just going to wear down those edges.
I spread them with my finger too and this will make everything blend together to form the text on my ornament. I cut it out and then scribble on the back with my pencil. I place it on my star where I want it to go. and I trace it, this will simply transfer that wording to my project, once I transfer my lettering, I go back with a fine tip marker and fill it in now quietly. I go back and use a brush marker and this. it just gave it a little bit of depth and made it pop, but this fine tip marker worked perfect at night because it's a smaller font now, like i said before, i think this would be the perfect project to do with the kids, you can let them make it yours and it's the perfect accessory for the moment when you're on break, you can use silent night or whatever phrase you want to make a hole in this to make a hanger.
I used everything I got from Hobby Lobby, you can. Get them for 2.50, but you can also use a hole punch. Once you have a hole at the top, I thread the cord through. I'm going to trim it and then I tie a knot at the top and this goes. To give me a bow to hang it on, the last thing I want to do is decorate it, so I used a little piece of greenery that I had left over from last year and I'm going to stick some of these little berries in the middle. and once you have this on this project, it's completely good for this ornament, we're going to use one of these mini Grapevine reefs that I bought from Hobby Lobby, you get four in a pack, it's 5.99 but they're 50 off so 'It's only three dollars.
I like to get them this time of year because I actually end up wearing them all year long. I'm also going to use another one of these Merry Christmas ornaments that I bought there and that you've also seen me use. These are already in a couple of projects. I started out using a red ribbon to tie this ornament in the center of this wreath, but I ended up changing my mind, it's just a little bit, so you'll see me cut it and change it. to some twine, I decide to give it a more natural look, you can tell that I had stopped using red because I had removed a lot of red material, but I always end up changing my mind, now we are going to use one of those pine garland ties that They are obtained at Dollar Tree.
I cut it in half and then formed it around my wreath there and used a DONT of glue to hold it in place. This is where I changed my mind about the shape. I was going with this. I love this tape I found at Joann's. I think it's absolutely beautiful, so I cut a piece and shaped it into an oval or loop, then pinched the center and used a piece of twine. and wrap it around four or five times and tie it in a double knot and this will give me a bow. That's when I realized I didn't need to use that red ribbon, so I grabbed some more of that and used one.
Darning needle and I just thread the thread through that grapevine wreath and then I'm going to tie a knot so it hangs in the center of my wreath. I loved how this turned out once we put it in there. now we're just going to fluff our bow, you know, they all need a good fluff, we're going to use some hot glue and stick it right there in the middle of that garland, now I'm going to take a little bit of that. Frosted fern that I get from the Dollar Tree and I'm just cutting small pieces and sticking a couple pieces on each side just to give it a little something extra and then I decide to use some of those red berries on each side.
Also, just to give it a pop of color and make a hanger for this, I'm going to use a little more of my twine. I'll thread it through my darning needle and then thread it through some of my Grapevine Reef pieces. We will do it in a knot leaving a loop, we will cut it and with that this project will be finished. Please give this video a big thumbs up, it really helps us a lot if you like crafting, we would love to see photos. Come over to Facebook and join our Crafty Corner cousin creation group.
We'll leave a link in the description box below Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. Let's use someshower curtain rings I bought mine at Walmart. 97 but they also sell them at Dollar Tree some scraps of chunky white yarn we had from another project came from Hobby Lobby some of these bottle brush trees from Dollar Tree some ribbons of mine came from Dollar Tree some of these 3D wooden words Hobby Lobby stickers are back in the sticker section some of these mini gnomes from Hobby Lobby a Hobby Lobby iridescent Rick shelf, some lace ribbon, my glue gun and some glue sticks.
I love making personalized ornaments. I think it's really nice to be able to look at your tree and know that you made these things and I love having different things. There too, Kay and I love showing everyone how they can make easy to make ornaments. We think it would be fun maybe over Thanksgiving weekend if you do this with the kids and let them make some of the decorations and then when? they put them on the tree they love knowing they did it and I think they create beautiful family memories for these ornaments we're going to use shower curtains you can make 12 of these for 97 cents plus whatever. clippings you have on hand for these.
I'm going to use some of this leftover yarn I had and wrap them around. There are a lot of different things you can wrap them with and we'll do more in a future video where Use Other Things, but for these three we'll use some of this white thread. You'll just secure one end with a little hot glue and then start wrapping it over and over until you reach the other end. Make sure you push them next to each other and then you'll secure them with a little more hot glue, cut them out and that's it, once you have all three rings wrapped, now let's decorate.
I'm going to use some of this lace ribbon. I think I bought it at Hobby Lobby, but they also have it at Dollar Tree. I cut a 16 inch piece and tied a knot on one end, then wrapped it around the ring and pulled. that string through the loop that it makes and that's going to give us a hanger just make sure you tighten it up and straighten it out then I'm going to take this little bow that I made it's just a simple shoelace bow and I'm going to glue it to the base and we're going to use one one of those little mini bottle brush trees from Dollar Tree.
I took the base off, put some hot glue on it and glued it in the middle at the bottom. Hold it until it sets and you should have an adorable little ornament for next, we're going to use the same ribbon for the hanger. I cut another 16 inch piece and tied a knot at the end, cut it out, wrap it around our ring, put it through the loop and there's our hanger and then for this one, I'm going to use one of these wooden words from Hobby Lobby, They sell them in the sticker section and I think they are absolutely beautiful, you get like six, maybe seven words in a pack and it's 4.99, but every two weeks they have them for 50 off so you can get them for two dollars and fifty cents.
I'm going to paint mine. I decided to use some of my Crimson chalk paint and paint just the top, but that was just the last one. thorough decision I was going to leave this natural and I think it would be nice. I just decided I wanted that pop of color so I painted mine once we get that paint and let it dry we're just going to stick it on with some hot glue I could see you guys making a whole set of these using all these words how pretty that would be make a bow for this.
I'm going to use a little more of that lace ribbon that I just cut. the piece and fold the ends over each other leaving a loop on each side. I use some embroidery floss, wrap it around the center a couple of times and tie it in a double knot and trim it and then you have a nice bow. We're just going to fluff it up a little bit, we're going to trim those ends off there and then we're going to glue it right to the base of our hanger and there's another little trim for last. I decided to use some of this iridescent Rick shelf.
I also bought it from Hobby Lobby. I cut another 16 inch piece, tied a knot at the end and then wrapped it around our ring like we did the others and then I'm going to take a little bit more and wrap it around my fingers three times and cut it off. I take it off and then I fold it in half and I take a little bit more of that white thread and I wrap it around a couple of times tied in a double knot, trim it and then you can start pulling out the loops. and fluff it up and it gives you the prettiest iridescent Rick bun.
I love it, it's something similar to the little yarn bows we make. You will cut it out and then glue it right there at the base of the hanger. and then I'm going to use one of these little gnomes. I bought it in the Christmas crafts section in the back of Hobby Lobby. You get three in a pack for a dollar fifty. I put a little glue on his feet and a little on his hat. and then you just leave it up there and hold it until it sets and that's our last adorable ornament. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project.
I'm going to use this wooden initial that I bought from Dollar General. They have this for a dollar. and I love how thick and pretty they are, a little Waverly chalk paint in white and crimson, a little Mod Podge, a little iridescent glitter, a red and white Baker yarn ribbon of my choice. I'm using this 5 8 inch satin, a heavy duty stapler and my glue gun. and some glue sticks, so the first thing I'm going to do is paint my initial with my White Waverly chalk paint. Now I paint the entire front, back, and sides because you'll be able to see it from all angles when it's hanging. the tree I love making these quick and easy ornaments.
I think it's a great way to get kids involved. You can get their initials and let them paint and decorate them however they want and they look so cute when you have them all hanging. the tree that kids love to look for theirs once our paint is dry. I'm going to take some painter's tape and I'm just going to mark about a third of my ornament. Now I'm only worried about the top and sides because I'm not going to paint the back of this. I'm going to leave it solid white. Now you can do everything you want.
I only chose to do about a third. I thought it looked really good. I am now. I'm going to use my Waverly chalk paint in crimson and give it two good coats on the top and sides and let it dry. I chose to use the color crimson, but you can use any color that matches your decor while our paint is drying. I'm going to make a bow and do it slowly for you. I take my ribbon and place it over my hand forming a good sized tail. Now let's take it and spin around. behind our index finger and because this rivet is satin on one side, I realized I needed to twist it in the middle before going around so I'm going to go back and twist it in the middle and then wrap it around my second finger coming from behind, we'll turn it again and go back around the first finger making two loops on each side, then we'll turn it one more time and go around the second finger again.
I give you two really nice loops, now you're going to come back up through your two fingers and you're going to trim this, leaving a nice tail, you can trim this again at the end, we're going to take the bottom tail. and pull it up, then we'll take the top tail and put it over all of our tape and push it through those two fingers at the bottom. You want to make sure it's under all of your ribbons now that you're you're going to pull it up the back and go around the top and now that ribbon that's crossed at the top you're going to lift it up and push the tail right underneath. of it and pull it, now tighten it and this will give you an adorable little bow for the top of your ornament, once you tighten it you will simply remove it from your fingers and there you have it, now we will remove the ribbon, this is always very satisfying and then I'm going to use my mod podge and I'm just going to paint the top of my ornament where it was white, do whatever you want, this is where we're going to put our glitter.
I will sprinkle my shine. and shake off the excess to make a hanger for this. I'm going to take my string, fold it in half and tie a knot. We'll cut those ends off. We'll flip our ornament over and use our stapler to put this on. instead it will hold it up nicely now all we have to do is glue our bow to the top, trim the tails and this project fits. Hi everyone, I'm Trish for this project. I'm going to use this arabesque tile pack. which I bought at Lowe's for 4.98, you get 15 in the package and they are adorable ornaments.
You can also get it at Home Depot, as well as hippo water slide sticker paper, some Christmas designs I printed using my inkjet printer on the water. Sliding adhesive paper. I will put a link below if you would like a copy of the designs. Some felts. I'm using white. A ribbon. A gift tissue from the party section in the Hobby lobbies. I just use two of these and some permanent markers. from the Dollar Tree, so the first thing I did was separate my tiles, this was very easy to do, they are just glued to this net and it comes off very easily, then I took one of my tiles and put it on my felt and just traced it .
I did this 15 times because we're going to make 15 um ornaments and then I cut it out. I like doing this because I think the felt finishes off the back and makes them look more sophisticated now that we're at it. We are going to cut out our designs from our waterslide decal paper. Now this is very easy to use. This video is not sponsored by Hippo, but you guys know I love this paper that they print with a regular inkjet printer and then stamp it. For your design, you will use a clear acrylic spray. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby.
You will cover it three times and let it dry in between. Once they are dry you will cut them out making sure to leave a quarter inch border around each one once you have cut them all out we will take a shallow bowl with some water and soak the water slide decal for 30 to 45 seconds until it starts moving, you will feel it. that top part starts to slide, then you'll place it on the tile, hold it down with a couple of fingers and then use your other fingers to gently slide the paper out from underneath. Once you do this you will feel like it will still move around your tile, it is slippery and that is good because it allows you to set it in place, then you will simply take a piece of paper towel and gently blot the water to get as much of it out as possible. . and you'll see this is going to start to stick and then once you've got it all out, set it aside and let it dry completely, then you'll see your design melt into the tile and these are all so pretty.
It's a great way to make personalized ornaments for your tree. Now for this one I wanted to show you how easy it is to let the kids help you with these, so we're just going to use some permanent markers from Dollar Tree. I drew some eyes and a mouth and a carrot nose and then I used a black permanent marker and filled in the eyes and the mouth and I used an orange permanent marker and filled in the nose now it kind of bubbles up but it makes a cool effect once it dries , then I took a white gel marker and put some little dots on the eyes to give it expression and I used my black marker and colored the top to make a hat.
Now another way to personalize them is to paint them. be really fun with the kids give them some paint let their imagination run wild they can do so many cool things a santa belt a grinch a snowman everyone knows i had to make a grinch i'm using my waverly chive chalk paint i gave it two coats and I let it dry and then once dry I took a pencil and drew the Grinch's face and now I'm using a black permanent marker and I'm just going over the nose, the mouth, the eyebrows and then I take some paint dark yellow and I'm going to paint in the eyes.
This is just some acrylic paint that I had on hand and I'm going to let it dry and then I'm going to use that permanent marker and line the eyes and give it some pupils and there's our Little Grinch, you all could do so many things with this. I'd love to see what you come up with. Another way to personalize them is with decoupage. Now I'm going to use some of this gift tissue from the party planning section this is what goes into the bags. I'm using the cheetah and the plaid. My granddaughter loves cheetahs so I'm going to make her one of these.
I trace around my ornament on my paper and cut it out and then once we have these cutouts we're going to use some Mod Podge to apply them to our ornament. I put on a thin layer of my Mod Podge and then you have to be very careful with this because this fabric is very fragile. I had to peel it. up and it worked fine, but you want to smooth out as many wrinkles and bubbles as you can with your fingers, just do it very slowly so as not to tear the paper once we put them down.
I'm just going to add some monograms to these. I cut them out with my Cricut machine because I didn't have any peel sticks on hand, but you can get peel and stick letters at any craft store, even Dollar Tree at Walmart, and it would work for this. Another great way to personalize these ornaments is with photos. I'm using some of our fur babies that we recently lost. I wanted to make this for my husband. I printed them with my inkjet printer and thenI sealed them with a clear acrylic spray. so it doesn't smudge when I start decoupage I trace my embellishment on it and cut them out and then once I cut them out I chose two of them that I thought would work best now we're just going to use a little bit of Mod Podge apply a coat lightly and then we're going to take a photo and use a little bit of water in a spray bottle and lightly spray the back, this just softens it up and makes it easier to apply.
I glue it to my ornament and then smooth it out with my fingers making sure to get all the bubbles out. I'll show you this one more time. We'll just leave our mod podge and then spray our image and apply it again. This is a perfect way to customize them. You could take all your photos and it would be great. The last way we're going to make our ornaments is yes, I'm going to make a gnome. Everyone knew what he was going to have. To do this right I would take my ornament and trace half of it on the back of one of those dust mops you get at Dollar Tree and then cut it out, I'm not going to kid you this is a mess but it works out.
How cute, they could also use one of those fuzzy tiles. I put some of my repair adhesive from the Dollar Tree and then I put some hot glue around the edges of my mop and glued it to the bottom of this and we have a beard for the hat. I'm going to use part of this old dress I bought at Goodwill Outlet, but you can use fabric, you don't have to use this. I trace it over it, cut it and then apply it the same way I did the beard. I used some repair adhesive and some hot glue, glued it on top and let it overlap my beard to make a nose.
I'm using half a wooden bead that I glued together well. there just below the tip and then I glue a pom pom on top now that we have them all decorated, let's finish them. I take my ribbon and cut 15 five inch pieces and then I'm going to join them together. Attach them to the top back of my ornament with a little hot glue. I just glue each end, then put a little bit of adhesive in the center and use my hot glue and go around the felt pieces that we cut and attach them. back and that finishes it, we'll look at this one more time, just hot glue both ends to the top of your ornament, then you're going to put a little bit of your solution, all the adhesive, take your hot glue. go around the edges of the felt piece and then glue it on and that's it once you've done this.
These are finished, we hope you enjoyed our compilation video today because you certainly enjoyed sharing our crafts with you, we hope you'll join us all week so it's Monday, Wild Wednesday, Transformation Thursday and we'll end the week with craftchat Saturday mornings, goodbye everyone.
