Mapocolops Reacts to Mossbag's The (Mostly) Complete Lore of Hollow Knight

May 06, 2024
Hello everyone and welcome back to Hollow Knight. As you can see, I am lying on the floor wallowing in my defeat, self-pity and misery in front of the pantheon of holiness. Now the furthest we've come in this is Marcos Marcos. destroyed us and it was my fault for being too impatient and rushing into it and I haven't been able to defeat this damn Boss Gauntlet, unfortunately, and I'm really trying and it's taking years because it's at a point where it's like you die to random bosses, at this point you know you start going through it enough that you don't even get to the same point constantly, it's like sometimes you just die on a random boss that I haven't had problems with before and it's a fight so what we're going to do is take a break from the Hollow Nest and take a break from the Most Holy Pantheon and I'm actually going to react to the almost

Hollow Knight Story Video I said I would make a video, but I intended to beat this Pantheon first. I'd like to react to the story video and get this kind of creative perspective, their thoughts and feelings and their own kind of conclusions and what they've been able to draw from the story and how they've woven this into the law of Hollow Knight, so I'm very excited to see this. I'm aware there are some spoilers for good measure. Pantheon in the video, so we're going to see what that means, we're going to react, we're going to see it, we're going to take it all in, uh, because I'm still going to be able to see it and witness it in this video. and share those reactions with all of you, so it seems like everyone has this opinion that Moss bag is like the vati from Hollow Knight, he's like the guy who does the law stuff and this is kind of a word that's kind of of the Gospel, um, so.

bag of Hollow Knight history, so let's get into that now and that's the introduction. This video contains some holiday spoilers, please be aware before embarking. this trip or not, I really don't care what your favorite video game ever created is. I'd have to say Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS, but in good taste, it should be a close second the following night, it was released on February 24th. 2017 by Team Cherry, an independent game studio based in the mythical land of Adelaide, South Australia, for the last three years, South Africa, that's right, Indie, baby, the game has sold over three and a half million do you copy.

It was the opening game at adgq 2019. There is a Hollow Knight reserves a line of plushies, t-shirts, nicotine patches, nuclear warheads and even vinyl records for all the damn hipsters. I bought it. Team Cherry had a goal and I haven't read it yet because I'm waiting until I finish this video. allowed players to completely lose themselves in Exploration, we can see this desire in the design of Hollow Knight, the levels in Hollow Knight are enormous, with secrets and rewards hidden in every corner, whether they be powerful charms, special abilities or, uh, The game's navigation system requires the player to Ranch at Egg, forcing them to create a stronger mental image of the world in their head.
Christopher Larkin's score and Ari Gibson's artwork contribute to this, as well as creating an atmosphere that the player won't want to leave, but there is an aspect of Hollow Knight that keeps them going. people like me returning to the world building, oh, and Super Metroid. I remember, I remember this. They gave me a warning. My moderators warned me and warned me, so I have to pause this one. a little intro that starts talking about metroidvania and super metroid and stuff like that, we're going to skip this intro because it's actually not very relevant to the holonite story which is the main reason we're reacting and haven't played the series Metro and I want to go in blind, so we're going to skip the intro and start at the beginning, so I apologize for that.
I just remembered when we came into this. I don't want spoilers for other games, I understand that it's metroidvania, it's inspired by that, so I can, you know, but I also don't want to see anything. You know what I mean, it is a simple fact of life that every human being worships one God. whether it be technological ideologies or, in rare cases, God, as it turns out that insects and how Nest operate in pretty much the same way, from the Moss relatives born from a giant slug's dream to the emo kids of ancient civilization who literally worshiped Darkness.
There's no shortage of things to love in the world of Hollow Knights. Our story begins with the creature most worthy of worship. A creature born from the corpse of a worm. The corpse can still be found in Kingdom's Edge and is our only good appearance. Regarding what worms actually looked like at the time Hollow Knight takes place, it is suggested that there are no worms left in the world, they were incredibly long creatures that featured little to no limbs. Another more mysterious property of worms was that they had some kind of foresight or foresight. Basically, they could see the future to a certain extent.
It is unclear how effective this ability was considering how the entire race became extinct. This foresight skill must have been quite good. Returning to this particular question, it is explained that this worm traveled through the distant mountains. and wastelands Beyond the sacred, once it reached Holland, the worm died, oh, okay, inside the jaws of the corpse is a pale and broken egg from which half of the new worm form hatches, ah, a meager shell that makes so much sense, this form of worm is usually referred to. known as The Pale King and he is the character basically responsible for everything that happens in Hollow Knight, cool, okay, Phil King is a superior being, a type of creature that exists above all others, it was said that his body shone with a radiant sight that harmed those who looked.
To him, The Pale King's ultimate goal seemed to be in line with that of other worms. A line from the cryptic Mr. Fungus reads: Worms attract insects until times pass and kingdoms fall. In other words, it's in their nature. The dogs move their hands. cats bury them with tails and worms put massive amounts of insects at their service to form long-standing kingdoms and civilizations. Well that Mr. Mushroom confused me for a second but I think we've just found him, I think he's the Strange Talking Mushroom for the context, there will probably be many of you who may not have even seen my gameplay and this video might have brought them to my channel, so for context, I have a complete playthrough through a blind playthrough of Hollow Knight. on the channel and it was a lot of fun so I recommend you watch it but most likely I will also relate and talk about my own game through this video but yeah I just think this is what to talk about the Mr.
Mushroom is like the talking stranger, we've only met him once, um, and we got dialogue from him and then he disappeared, um, so it's cool that there's cryptic story dialogue that comes out of this mushroom character, Uh, maybe me. I'll have to look into that, but I guess this video will cover that ground too, you know, and here, in the farthest corner of the world, the Pale King emerged from the corpse of his former self and began to build the eternal kingdom of his. . there is a little problem, there are people already living there, the area that would eventually become most sacred was already filled with mantis bees, oh this is so cool, spiders, mushrooms and bushmen, each of these groups were already operating with their own cultures and societies and each group had a different interaction. with The Pale King one of the groups most receptive to the arrival of The Pale King were the fungal waste mushrooms.
These creatures were able to communicate with each other through a shared mind. The mushrooms saw this shared mind as a strength and were kind. of presumptuous In this regard, ultimately, the mushrooms rarely accepted the Pale King's rule seeing his foresight as a shield against the dangers of the future. Another group that lives in fungal waste is the Mantis tribe. Mantids have a rich cultural history dating back to long before birth. Of the most sacred, the mantids are a proud tribe that believes in the importance of demonstrating one's physical strength. Mantids are fiercely territorial, but will show respect to those who display great power.
These Fight Club enthusiasts were led by four powerful Mantis Lords who I assume just sat back. Out there waiting for the Outsiders to challenge them, but they're so cool I've had no interest in the pale King's Kingdom, but the two communities came to a truce in exchange for their independence from the most sacred. The Mantis tribe kept the Deep Nest beasts away. invading Hallownest, I'm not sure why they didn't just leave through the other exits of Deep Nest, but whatever, I'm not a Border Patrol expert, I don't work at Ice anymore, let's move on to Deep Nest now, many of the different tribes of Hallownest were kind enough to leave history tablets detailing pretty much everything we need to know about them.
Unfortunately, deep nesting insects did not do that. We know deep nest spiders had a monarchy because why not, those are always good? Within the depths is a separate group of spiders that migrated to the Deep Nest at some point in the past. This group was known as the Weavers and they established their own culture and history within the Deep Nest. They used silk looms to weave stories, spells, and shields. I really like this Hollow Knight pot. I want to find out more about everything to do with Hallownest, that's a really cool thing, it's like the Weavers are like a nice little pot in there, but then it's like you're there. like an amulet and then when you go to leave you see one and you never see it again it just disappears and it was really cool and then you have your obviously your amulet that has little weavers on it um I wonder if we'll actually get some kind of more detailed expansion on that in Silk Song, you know, considering the Weaver song and the silk and telling stories and stuff like that, so it seems a little bit connected to that, so I'm really excited to see what it's about, but that was something really interesting.
What I also like about the world of Hollow Knight is what it is capable of doing, sometimes just with small areas as well as the large expansive regions that you have like a particular room and that will fill you with a lot of wonder and curiosity about which It is the history of this place. That's really cool. The struggles of Nest's deep and sacred relationships would become painfully clear as time goes on, but for now it seems the two remained fairly isolated. from each other, another section of pre-halownest includes the screen path now, from what we can see, the mushrooms, mantids and spiders of the Deep Nest did not worship any higher being, there is this giant mushroom corpse in the core of the fungus.
I don't think this is a higher being, I mean who the hell would want to worship a fat mushroom, fat slugs, that's cool? The land we know as Green Path was created by the higher being known as an unused being, the great mind of him to dream the greenery of Green Path. In the One Spare and Caverns followers, the Moss relatives were also born from Un's dream, making her the creator of her. Green Path in its heyday was actually much larger than we see in the game, at one point the Green Pass extended as far as the modern Queen's Garden and possibly.
The citizens of Fog Canyon Greenpath proved to be a fairly developed society, building a temple in Lake UN to worship and even having their own line of defense with Moss Knight showing proficiency in combat using nails and projectiles as weapons of the law. of not continuing in effect even after the arrival of the Pale King, but it seems that they allowed the king to establish a path through his lands that would take travelers to the heart of Hallownest, hence the name Greenpath, yes, Team Cherry He really racked his brain naming this area. Next we have the bees, and while Lauren doesn't know how these bees can turn into drills or how they can ignore all known laws of aviation, we do know how they reacted to the Pale King.
These insectsThey decided to seal their hive. in the rest of the world only patrol bees can enter and exit the hive, so yes, the bees are practically useless in this story and we eventually eliminated them, which is a shame because bees are my favorite. I love the beehive, it's great. but the attempt could also have inhabited Crystal Peak at some point, since we all know that moths in real life are complete. Yeah, as for Moss and Hollow Knight, well, it's a little complicated. The Moth race is described as a fairly pacifist group with few ever choosing to wield a weapon during the King's pale Reign.
The Moth race delved between dreams and the dead showing the importance of remembering those who have passed away, as well as learning to shape to dreams similar to moss skin. The Moth Tribe was born from a higher B, yes, great, the glow is described. like being a light that the moth tribe feasted on, so she was basically God. I love God so much, it is like that, the respect for radiance, its links with dreams and a substance known as essence, essence of the remains of desires and dreams, is so good. and are represented in the game by these dream catcher particle effects.
The essence can take the form of whispering roots and dream ghosts, which are memories that take root in the world. The glow appears to be a creature made of essence, but she is not the The only higher being that emits Essence is a moth that wanted light so much that it turned into light, turned into a lamp and this sexy character called Grim emits fiery red particles However, the glow seems to be the main god when it comes to dreams, even if other gods also dabble in the Realm of Dreams returning to the moth tribe, it is his interaction with the Pale King that we need to discuss, basically. , the moths turn their backs on the radiance completely to worship the new light that had appeared in the Kingdom of dreams.
Light, oh okay yeah, moths are in this game too, the glow became a forgotten memory, a remnant of the past and something that will definitely not appear again later in this video, so the new kingdom of the Pale King was established in a more sacred way, but there is Unfortunately, one aspect of hell that we must discuss to understand it better we are going to have to read some poetry in Wilds Beyond. They speak your name with reverence and regret because no one could tame our wild souls, but you, the challenge was met under the watch of the Palace. you taught that we changed the basic instincts we were redeemed a world that you gave to the insects and the Beasts like they had never dreamed of this is from a poem titled elegy to the saints written by modem about the master the poem appears at the beginning of each game and gives clues than The Pale King and his kingdom offered a cool land outside of the sacred that appears to be a wasteland where insects survive by instinct without the burden of the Mind.
Holiness somehow taught these insects and basically tamed their savagery. The Pale King changed the instincts of his subjects and granted them. I thought better of the Nobles, the new insects, two different characters, Boon and Tuck, these adorable Panda insects give us a clear sample of the howl effect, while both seem to be the same species of insect. Boone is as dumb as a bag of rocks struggling to put words together while Tuck speaks quite clearly, the main difference between these two characters is that while Boone lives outside of the most sacred, Tuck lives beneath the capital city , it basically seems like holiness is a literal Holy Land that elevates the intelligence of those who dwell within.
The Pale King established a The path starts from the entrance of the Kingdom at King's Pass, winds through a green path in the mushroom waste, and finally ends at the huge Capital in the heart of the Holiness. We now know the capital city as the city of tears, but that was probably not its original name, the falling rain. Access to the city from the Blue Lake did not begin until after the kingdom's collapse, so unless the capital was originally named by some student of avant-garde literature, the name City of Tears would not have made much sense.
The king's motivation for all of this seems to have been his desire to be worshiped; the citizens of the Holiness believe that The Pale King created the world and everything in it. Shrines to the king could be found scattered throughout the kingdom and idols of the King were created and distributed. I love seeing the giant statues and other things in the background. Such a beautiful work of art possibly hides its imperfections. I mean, if you look at the size of the real Pale King on the statue of him in ancient Reach, the man is clearly overcompensating.
The White Palace of the Pale King was also built beneath the city that separates him from his subjects. Even more, such a beautiful design, certain powers were rejected in the sacred, although we don't know for sure if The Pale King had anything to do with this lifeblood, it is a blue liquid substance that leaves those who drink it feeling refreshed no matter the use of vital blood. It was seen as taboo and those who used it were demonized as heretics. The use of the soul for combat was also rejected. Seoul is a kind of Life Force in Hollow Knight that animates the bodies of living creatures, but some characters are able to control the souls of others to conjure powerful spirits but, with a few exceptions, no citizen of Hell should use this power.
However, the Pale King didn't rule alone, there was another higher being in the mix, a being known as the white lady, I think it's something like that. It's interesting about this video and I want to compare it to other history videos I've seen. I suppose there are missing sources or where the information is extracted from. Sometimes this is the poem from the beginning. of the game and this is cool, but I'll compare it to some Dark Souls Lore videos I've seen where there will be a source provided maybe like this is the description or the item or the event where this happened and we'll extrapolate it and explain it, but something about this that I find interesting is that we're getting kind of uh, there's just points where it's like they just tell me this like it's this and I think what would be really cool is if maybe on the screen there would be some kind of reference as a kind of guide, like how you came to that conclusion, something like that, which would be really good. um, because I know there are things you can glean from behind-the-scenes concept art interviews, like this wonderful Diary that I'm very excited to read after this video, um, things like that and then obviously what you can find in the game itself and we've seen a little bit of that in the video, like we're seeing what I guess is a concept sketch of the worm before and stuff like that when they talk about it, but we hear certain things here that are said rather than maybe getting some sources that can pull from it and say we're getting some jokes that make you sniff through your nose or don't really land that well and I think being able to provide some reasoning or maybe an explanation for how we came to that conclusion would be great, maybe I'm struggling with that because I feel like this is being told more of a story right now because obviously this is a hello.
Nest set up telling it is like This is the story, but I guess I'm giving thoughts and feelings as we go, like I said I would because there's a reaction video. I have to react with my thoughts and feelings, so we'll see how it goes later. in the video because I guess this is still in the setup of things and the story, but there are certain things that are being said and I'm wondering: what do you mean by that? How did you come to that conclusion? I would like to know because I also like to get to the bottom of things.
You know, the lady is a strange and brute being that can be found in modern Queens Gardens. She is encased in a strange cocoon and we know very little about her. As much exposition as we get on The Pale King, there's almost nothing on the white lady, but one thing we do know is that she likes to reproduce, as the white lady often would. She retreats to the Queen's Gardens, an area of land once controlled by the Mosskin, how exactly she walked and actually went places is a contested tradition too deep even for my experience. The white queen is also known as a pale being along with the Pale King.
What exactly are pale beings? Well, we don't know for sure, but they seem to stand out even among higher beings for being even more powerful. I know it's a little confusing, so let's try to use an example. I would say that normal higher beings are like tp-link Archer C7 ac-1750 dual-band wireless gigabit router while pale beings are like Asus rt-ax88u ax6000 dual-band gigabit 8X Wi-Fi router Under Pale King Hal Nest underwent a small industrial revolution, he ordered the construction of the footbridges that were used to transport passengers and goods, the Forgotten Crossing and the warehouses above the city of Lágrimas were used to store goods that traveled along these deer.
The king also ordered the construction of trams because literally no one is safe from the threat of automation. A tram was built between the Forgotten Crossing and the rest areas. A tram was built from the Kingdom's Edge through the old Reach to Deep Nest and then a third train was started at Deep Nest and attempted to go further into Deep Nest, I'm not sure how useful that would have been for the insects of Hallownest, but whatever the pale. King is a smart guy. I'm not going to question it, but anyway, the Pale King's super-smart plan to build a tram in the depths of Nest ended up getting some of his tram workers to kill the deep bugs that rejected the Pale King's attempt to Building a tram on their territory further cemented the poor relations shared between the two groups, in addition to convenient fast travel.
Regular roads were also used to carve goods around the Kingdom. From this was born probably one of the most important groups in the most sacred fiction and perhaps even in all of fiction, an elusive Guild. of insects known simply as men are insects dedicated to maintaining the various signs scattered throughout Hallownest from the diary entry of a fixer insect we can glimpse their ancient and unknowable minds yes this is what I'm looking for dear diary oh never the mind is not life simply the most beautiful fixing signs mending poles let them break I say I'm a better repairman for all that repair Sometimes I doubt there's a single mistake in all the emptiness happier than me another example of the pale Kings expanding The infrastructure is Crystal Peak.
This area is filled with crystals that grow rapidly along walls, ceilings, and even the shells of certain insects. These crystals were considered valuable to the most sacred insects, resulting in large-scale mining efforts. We don't actually see the crystals used. anywhere else in Hallownest, but they are said to contain a kind of energy, the crystals are also said to sing if you listen very carefully, it is so obvious that the result was about to come, it was too obvious, it was too obvious that it was to come, the holiness, first line of defense seemed to be a group known simply as the five Great Knights oh, I want to know about this so badly, so if we only met a heygemal zamir Draya and isma oh, okay, great, It's nice to have confirmation on them, so we figured it out. and we discover ourselves and our game through um using the poop amulet when we talk to the white lady, which is cool, but even oh and I guess the one outside is set very easily um oh, their shapes have a lot of sense when you see them. it's like that, so even um, the white flower, the delicate search for flowers.
I see this is Steam Coalition, where ogram, hey, this guy, head, Jamal Big Boy, zamir zamia, he was such a tough Quest dryer and isma okay, so isma was interesting too. I think what's really cool is the five nights that you see when they show them to you, when you come across them in the game and you think you wouldn't call them or identify them as the five nights, you know what? I mean the only one that really is the only two that really stand out is ogrim and zamiya because even Hacemole is like a statue so it blends in but that's really cool, I actually like that for being so important.
Much of the information about these nights has been lost to time. Olgram is the one we know the most about, as he is one of the few Knights still alive during the events of the game. Ogram expressed great loyalty to the king and maybe he had something going on with isma oh that's it that's the strength the

knight

's armor a sense of humor and his soft voice God that makes so much sense he was also silly and mysterious Samir arrived in holiness from a Serene land bringing with it a collection of delicate flowers, at some pointshe also received not just a mantis, but any mantis, a daughter of one of the Mantis Lords, so yes, it seems that these great Knights were killing in more ways than one.
All we really know about Draya is that she was fierce. Loving and wise about Isma, she was described as kind, she also appears to be some kind of strange plant life form, but there is no information about where she is from or what her powers were. Every night they are very friendly, an important role in the Champions. Call the Knotted Grove and the Battle of the Black Worm, we have no idea what these events were or how they affected the sacred but they sound cool, however during the Hellenistic Reign there was another strange area that seemed to exist separate from the King's rule pale carved from the corpse of an ancient insect an area called The Colosseum of Fools was built and was a destination for warriors from outside the sacred.
The sole purpose of fighting in the Colosseum seemed to be simply for Glory with a mysterious figure known as the Fool Lord overseeing the combat. We don't know when the Colosseum was built or if the Pale King was involved, but one of his servants, the pale stalker, became a champion in the Colosseum, perhaps indicating the Pale King's approval and finally there were the royal canals where They find the fecal excrement of the The kingdom was washed away by the fungal waste. This area saw the rise of a species of parasite-like creatures called flukes. The fluke spawned from the marma of the fluke.
A giant monster with cavities in which smaller flukes live. There really isn't much story involved. with coincidences, but I must point out that coincidence canonically a milf that is not even debatable the sky is blue two plus two equals four and we all want this and that is why this was the most sacred kingdom in its heyday hauness was a vast kingdom connected by a network of deer and tram stations the holiness bugs mourn their dead in resting grounds dedicated to trade using Geo, the de facto currency of the region and a prosperous capital located in the middle of the Kingdom.
The Pale King had managed to create a full-fledged Society, but we all know that there are dangers of living in a society, as a suspiciously informed hunter points out in his journal. The Pale King had created a population of weaklings and excuse me, what is this interpretation? He would just be sitting. God, the real look of him is so cool. so he's dressed like a hunter is wearing it, like he's an animal head or something to blend in, oh the hunter is just a big skeleton, oh that's weird. I wonder what it looks like under the head.
I saw that and went wait a damn minute, he'd just be sitting, oh that's crazy. I haven't maxed out Hunter's Diary, but maybe this is a cutscene if you've done that and go back and talk to him. because otherwise this is fan art, it looks like it's right on the thing, so I guess this is something I wouldn't have witnessed in The Pale King game if I had been sitting there, weak and pathetic creatures, the bugs. of the holiness did not hunt for their own food and had become complacent with their comfort and stale eggs with the e-swing in the Capitol these greedy members of the high society of the holiness became complete cowards obsessed with riches and Plum for the excess yes, the rich grandmother seemed quite different from the instinctive simpletons they once were, their savagery had been replaced with intelligence and through that intellect they gave the Pale King the devotion and service he desired and although there were some obstacles in the way Along the way, they were brilliant times for the King and his subjects.
On the threshold of Hallownest rests a strange tablet proclaiming that Hallownest is the last and only civilization that he calls Hallownest, an eternal Kingdom. This seems to have been the Pale King's goal for Hallownest to confront a wasted world as a final beacon to civilization, and that was the Pale King's ultimate folly: to think that he could succeed if so many others had failed shortly before the Pale kings or the Berry Bensons of the world, the land of holiness was controlled by an ancient cast. The signs of holiness are full of history. the earth with the most notable examples being soul totems and arcane eggs, yes this looks really cool, these ancient insects did not worship a God like the Pale King nor any Lord, but rather a dark and mysterious substance known Like the void, this ancient cast once also attempted to claim the entire land of Hallownest, but they too failed in their quest to conquer all of Hallownest.
The Pale King had become an enemy, a long forgotten enemy, an enemy that was about to be remembered. I mentioned earlier that the moth tribe completely forgot about it. about the glow to worship the Pale King, but that is not entirely true. The memories of her still lingered and were silent. The Whispers of Faith kept the glow alive atop Crystal Peak, a place known as the Crown of Holiness. A strange collection of glyphs can Joining these glyphs is a statue of the radiance that presides over the kingdom below. Sanctuary left to shine. This was built to keep the memory of the glow alive.
The light of radiance began to appear in the dreams of the citizens of holiness. The light manifested itself in an infection that devastated the tunnels of the Kingdom. Oh, okay, I would fall into a deep sleep and wake up with Minds broken. Some of the lesser insects attempted to resist the light of the glow, which only resulted in them being consumed by it even more. The infected insects lost their will and began to attack the insects that were not infected. The infection also twisted the bodies of its hosts, causing them to swell and occasionally develop orange cysts on their ah, it wasn't the breeding one.
For many victims, they returned to their basic instincts. Carrying out the duties they once fulfilled in life, but now as mindless slaves, those trapped in the infection were linked to Radiance's hive mind, allowing him to control their bodies if necessary as the infections spread. among the most holy, many groups seek solutions to fight the The gates of the city of Lágrimas were closed in an attempt to prevent the infection from reaching the city. The deer also closed at some point and many of the deer eventually became extinct, but some took more proactive efforts against the infection.
The scholars. The only shrine decided to harness the power of the soul in an attempt to combat the infection, this resulted in the death of hundreds of insects whose souls were sucked and injected into the bodies of the scholars. Oh wow, it was achieving some kind of pure focus. which would somehow protect them from mind plagues, this was really cool because when we started going through this area of the game and I was going through Soul Sanctum and I go, there's all this weird kind of biomechanical stuff like organic based technology . and things like machinery and people connected to things and just random corpses and chairs and like these empty hulls that were falling.
I was like watching this be where this is really going and it was a really exciting part of the game because this was our first dreamer that we took out, I think, or our second um first or second, I think, uh, dreamer that we took out going to the Soul Sanctum and I thought: are we going to get into some strange kind of us? We're going to start addressing, yes, a lot of things related to organic biomechanics, but it was

mostly

contained in this section and it's really cool to see the variety and the different types of locations, all doing their own little thing in trying to figure out that infection.
It's cool because it comes from the memory of the glow that lingers at least in how it's explained here and then manifests as something like, I guess, an infection of the mind that has taken on as a physical presence in the world and that's really, I like it. how it's being done, it's a bit strange, the leader of the scholars, the soul master, went crazy from the sheer power of the soul and his entire sect couldn't avoid the infection, but hey, at least they took so many people away innocent. Down with them as they could, the Mantis tribe shows a stronger will than the common insect, yes, we can avoid the infection, however, one of the four Mantis Lords turned against his sisters, he and his followers accepted the infection willingly, since it gave them.
It gave them more strength and courage at some point during all of this, the traitor Lord and his followers were exiled from the Mantis Village and finally settled in the Queen's Gardens, ah, that makes a lot of sense, that's why there was that one before. little subtitle like let's assume there's a room here, like the Mantis Lords chairs. I don't know why I didn't do it. It's really fun how you can play and connect certain things yourself and gain an understanding of the world. then you'll say, oh yeah, that was pretty obvious, wasn't it? You just didn't get it to click into place until they put it directly in front of you and you say there was a fourth and that's why it's the traitor Lord because there are the Mantis Lords that's great now they just need to change the sisters of the battle fight and have you fight the three Mantis Lords and the Traitor Lord at the same time as the trailer's daughter ended up dying at some point.
This is the same mantis who was in a relationship with Samir 105 Big Nights but the mantises rejected their union due to Zamir's lack of involvement as a player. This kind of prejudice is all too familiar and honestly makes me sick with the completely useless Big Five Nights. fighting the infection The Pale King devised his own plan, a plan involving a foreign substance known as a void, as I mentioned earlier. Bill King's White Palace was built in an area called the old Reach, but his castle wasn't the only thing worth mentioning down there. At the bottom of the ancient Basin was the entrance to a well known as the abyss, within the abyss was a lake composed of emptiness.
The Pale King realized that this void could be given form, as evidenced by an imprint so deep within the abyss possibly left behind. There, by the ancient civilization that preceded the sanctified, the tendrils devised a workshop in his Palace where he placed voids and soul-imbued armor creating servants known as King molds and Wing molds. This is so cool, these things are actually very well imprinted with the Pale King's desire for them to serve him, it's unclear when the Moon King started creating these creatures. There is evidence to imply that even common insects knew about King's molds, but the point is that Pale King turned to the void to create. another creature he believed could contain the glow and its infection.
He attempted to create a pure vessel. The glow infection requires its host to have the will and mind to enslave it. A pure vessel would be a creature made of vacuum designed to lack those characteristics. The Pale King believed that harnessing the vacuum within a pure vessel could stop infection and maintain lasting sanctity. Eternal ah, thank you for creating this so-called pure vessel it was incredibly cruel, this is where the white lady and her King Kong sized libido comes into play, these two higher beings engage in a union of some kind that results in the creation of several eggs that were thrown into the abyss, there the void seeped into these eggs corrupting the offspring of the Pale King and the white one.
Lady, this act resulted in the creation of the vessels, they are not technically considered living, they are shells created by The Pale King and the white lady that have been filled with a void within each vessel is a shadow, a void completely hidden behind the The face of the boat is also genderless, I guess because they are dead or something. I'm not sure if that's how it works, but whatever, I'm not an expert on this kind of thing, I don't work on the ice anymore. Thousands of vessels were created during this process, but only one was chosen as a pure vessel.
This particular vessel chosen by The Pale King was considered the Hollow Knight and was brought to the White Palace, but I want to take a closer look. In this part of the story there are a number of questions and theories surrounding this moment that I really want to delve into. The big question surrounding this moment is why the Hollow Knight was chosen over any other vessel. A common theory is that The Pale King took these ships back to the White Palace and evaluated them using this giant collection of circular saws. This theory is probably the least likely explanation.
It exists only to explain circular saws, which is quite a mystery. I admit that it doesn't really fit with the very well, how being good at Super Meat Boy proves that you're a worthy vessel and, while you're thinking about logistics in a game about magical insects, it's never a good idea, how exactly does The Pale King transferred these thousands of vessels to his Characterless Palace? As if the Dung Defender found out, this means that the Pale King probably made his decision without taking out any of the vessels from the Abyss, so how did the Pale King make hisassessment?
I think the best explanation comes from a theory I originally heard from a user called Golden Flower fan basically, the vessels were born at the bottom of the abyss and the first to reach the top was chosen by The Pale King, that's something I like , what's great here is incorporating it, this is a great thing. I found that as a theory and I'm going to use this to maybe give it some interpretation which is really cool. I like that approaching it like before I was like oh, I want to get stuff from the game um for I know where this information came from and then it's like, oh, here's some stuff from the people who were building the place and I was like, oh, cool, but then it was a joke, you know, but these things are really cool and I like it. which includes, um, where the information came from at least for theories and interpretation and how that can be used to come to conclusions because I like something that's really interesting about Hollow Knight and ties it into Dark Souls and stuff.
Well, at least in my background and my experience, a lot of those laws and stories and things that have taken place ultimately remain in your hands. You can put them together however you want and come up with your own interpretations, which is the way art works. This is in general and I like that there are creators who do their best to weave a story, based on the information they have researched and collected, and who can do the best they can and know how. That's how we can put it together, which is really cool, so we have that for Dark Souls and it's cool that we can have that for Hollow Knight too, where it's like we don't really know how these things work. took place, but by looking at the environment, looking at what we've seen in specific scenes or how this all comes together, we can come to this conclusion or theory of this, that's probably how it worked and I actually like this theory. from Hey, whoever gets to the top wins, uh, because that's what you do in this scene specifically when you play this in the game.
You're climbing and making your way through this void to the top and then you witness the scene. place to really feel veryI really like that in a memory of this event we see vessels falling from above towards the pit of the Abyss, perhaps these vessels were not being thrown into the abyss but fell while trying to escape from it, the Lord traveled. out of the abyss seems to support this Theory, it says that our Pure vessel has ascended Beyond lies only the rejection and regret of its creation, that fits in there, it is no longer likely that this tablet was written just after it was chosen to the Hollow Knight, considering that it was then that the entrance to the abyss was sealed, the tablet proclaims that the pure vessel has ascended or, in other words, emerged from the abyss and, although the cut contents should never be considered Canon, I would only like to point out that an earlier version of this tablet was found in The game code was even more explicit about this, reading from below: Our Pure vessel has ascended well, but how does reaching the top of the Abyss first prove that the Knight

hollow

is in some ways a perfectly Hollow vessel, whereas I think this whole concept could simply It would be a mistake to think what would happen if the Hall of Night were no different from the other vessels.
All the containers were made exactly the same way. After all, the idea that the Hollow Knight was somehow

hollow

er than the other vessels comes from the fact that there were so many vessels created in the first place if they only needed one, so why create so many? I mean, this is like Octomom on steroids. Well, we're talking about bugs, so it would make sense for multiple offspring to come from one egg and it might have been a precaution to produce multiple ships in the hopes that at least one could successfully escape the abyss. Now another explanation could be that The Pale King simply chose other ships that reached the top first after determining that they weren't. t Hollow, which would better explain why so many were created.
Ultimately, the exact details aren't very important, but I find it interesting how many different interpretations can be drawn from this part of the story after it's been picked all night. The Pale King sealed the door to the abyss leaving the discarded vessels to rot in darkness. These actions were not taken lightly by the Pale King or the white lady. Both participants expressed shame for what they did but saw no other option to save the kingdom, but the vessels were not the only poor saps sealed in the abyss. There is also a lighthouse that was built on a naturally formed spire, its light shining over an ocean of chasm below, inside was one of the pale king's royal servants who was left in charge of keeping the lighthouse lit, so this brave soul was voluntarily sealed in a dark and dangerous tomb for the rest of his life, alone. to not be able to pull a lever properly, at least he was living with purpose, with the abyss sealed and the Hollow Knight chosen by the Pale King.
The plan was beginning to come together, the Hollow Knight was raised and trained in Prime form, causing him to grow several times his original size. We don't know exactly why this happened, but I guess the hallway night is just a growth and not a shower, we know. that the Knight of the hall was trained to use a nail, but why was this necessary? A possible explanation is that the Hollow Knight needed to protect himself in case an intruder tried to kill him, you know, like the player, or perhaps this was important in the process of him containing the glow, unfortunately, the details of that are never explained.
Completely, the Hollow Knight could have somehow focused the glow within himself, but Team Cherry gives us no explanation as to how that could have worked, but that still wasn't enough for The Pale King to place additional seals on himself. necessary to protect the Hollow Knight's physical body while the radiance was trapped within him to achieve this. The Pale King sought the help of three particular insects who would later be known as the dreamers Lurie and The Watcher in the modem of the master and Hera the Beast, okay, Lorian is definitely the most mysterious of the three dreamers in which The Watcher Spire in the city of tears from there lurian watched the city with his telescope lorian was a great admirer of the king, so it probably didn't take convincing. lying down for him lorian could also be related to another strange incident that occurred in the city of tears hidden in some of the tablets of lorian's history are images of jars the same jars that can be found stored in the tower of love this building It is located on the outskirts of the city and is the setting for one of the strangest bosses in The Collector game.
Collectors avoid the construction that appears to have been made from the same mold used to create the king's mold because, well, it is the same mold establishment in In the tower several insects can be found captured in jars, implying that these two had the task of collecting these creatures; However, the collector somehow became obsessed with larvae and created a map to keep track of the larvae he captured in jars, as well as maintaining a strange Shrine displaying a Vitruvian Man-style larva that he eventually kept. the collector and decided to lock her inside the Tower of Love and fled to the Queen's Gardens, where she probably died, oh okay, the vacuum exposure explains why the key is there.
I get you, the hunter still sees it at some point, which means either this only happened recently or the hunter has been farting in Hallownest for a long time. We have no idea what these creatures were trying to do. It is implied that the collector was trying. to preserve the creature's vocal nest, perhaps trying to protect them from the spread of infection, but we don't know where the collector's obsession with larvae originated and, although Lurian seems to be connected to all of this, we don't know how involved was. This operation or what exactly was her ultimate modern goal in the master lived in the master archives a library built on a lake of acid in the fog Canyon the lower half of her body is made up of tentacles, making her a subject popular for the thriving Hollow Knight R34 The community, archives, and Mist Canyon as a whole are also full of these strange Metroid knockoffs.
These creatures are probably related to Mademon in some way. They could be her living descendants, her test tube babies, or possibly even her modem. Uses futuristic cathode ray tube things to store information on the most sacred various terminals in the Masters' Archive Goes into detail about the Pale King's plan to defeat the Shining, indicating that Maldomon had intimate knowledge of what he was up to. finally participating The Pale King sought the help of Hera the Beast, the queen of the deep. Nest, oh okay, relations between the Hellenists and the Deep Nest were not very good, unlike the other two dreamers.
Hera needed to be convinced to help. The Pale King. Hera would eventually agree to become a dreamer in exchange for a child. The Pale King agreed and the two. engaged in medallions, which is a fancy way of saying they were completely boneless. The white lady agreed to this arrangement. In fact, she could have been watching from the closet. The reason behind Hera's request is never explained, but it seems as if the king of the Deep Nest. She was dead at this point Hera was a common insect, so perhaps she wanted the Pill King's pale seed so that her child could be highborn.
The deal between Hera and the Pale King resulted in the birth of a hornet. She became known as the gender girl because unlike the other children of the Pale King, Hornet was not emptied by the abyss oh okay they have the same head shape that's really interesting okay that's cool , so when Hornet talked to us in that scene about the whole brother thing, um and what they're like. they were connected we're stepbrothers so we can't stepbrothers six things half brothers sorry that's the one you're doing half brother um so we share the same father from The Pale King but I was born from where the Knight of the White Lady was born and then Hornet was born from Hera the Beast, that's really cool, so Hornets is sitting on Hera's dream platform, so it seems to be something we've missed in our game because I think it must be a sequence of events about how to do things in a particular order, so we shouldn't have done something in a particular order.
I think Hornet spent little time together since Hera had to fulfill Barbie's part of her. Interesting information. A seal was placed on the black egg. prohibiting entry into the chamber, these streamers also had their own protection at the base of the Lurian spire. The Vigilant Knights guarded access to their Master's body. Matamon's body was protected by a giant jellyfish called an umu on top of this. Motomon entrusted her servant with a mask that would require breaking an additional seal that had been placed on it. Sure it's so good it basically double wraps, boy, as for Hera, we're not quite sure what she protected her from, since she's never been seen in the game, we don't know where this creature is.
He's hiding, but whoever it is, he really sucks at his job. Now there seems to be one more element to the Pale King's plan that involves the Weavers. The form in the Weaver's Den is an incomplete binding seal woven with silk. Oh, this design prominently features the gap. The oh wow

knight

head in the White Palace, in addition to blocking the exit during the night fight in the hallway, the silk spools created by the Weavers can be found at the Stag Station in Deep Nest, as well as the Stag Station at side of the White Palace, these pools can also be found.
In the Pale King's Workshop, we know that the Weavers were closely linked to Heron Hornet, so his actions could have been part of the deal between the Pale King and Hera. Once the Hollow Knight was ready, the glow was somehow channeled into the vessel which was then placed inside a giant black egg located in the Forgotten Crossroads. This egg was built to hold the Hollow Knight and itself appears to be made of void. Honea is an interesting name to give as a spider boy, you know what I mean because if it was like Hornet, you'd think there would be some connection even with the Queen of the Hive, you know, it could have been The Pale King and the Queen of the hive would be a hornet, um, so that's an interesting name to broadcast at convention, I guess it's just an idea.
All night she was chained and the entrance to the black egg was closed behind a powerful seal created by the three dreamers. Initially, this intricate plan actually worked and the infection was successfully contained. Memorials to the Hollow Knight and the dreamers were erected in the city of tears and places ofrest, but this is the part of the story where things get a little confusing when these statues were built, the citizens had begun writing on parchment woven from spider silk, which was destroyed when water began to fall on the city . We don't know how long the Knight Hall was able to completely contain the infection.
The earthmouth bugs used to go to the Black Egg Temple to pray saying that they felt at peace within the walls but after a while they stopped going, perhaps indicating. As the infection was beginning to seep in again, the infectious air continued to seep through Hell for years and eventually reached even the deepest parts of the Kingdom, as it turns out that the Pale King's pure vessel was not so pure after all. who had been the Hollow Knight. clouded by an instilled idea while the game never explicitly tells us what that idea was, it does strongly hint at what might be hidden in the White Palace.
It's a flashback that shows the Hollow Knight in The Pale King sharing a moment the Hollow Knight could have had. developed a paternal bond with The Pale King and who could blame him, oh what a great father, after all, you know, if you ignore the infanticide and all, remember those smug mushrooms, he gave them feelings, it was a complete mistake, that mind shared doesn't look very good now. Is the corpse of a giant mushroom lying dormant in the core of the mushroom? His final thoughts were a pale worm. What's the point of seeing an inevitable disappearance?
This could imply that The Pale King always knew that his kingdom was doomed. All he could do was delay the inevitable. It is likely the time that Hallonus, as it once completely collapsed, the Hollow Knight had not completely stopped the infection and, although it may have taken a while, Alanis finally fell, it is at this point that the characters in the areas They begin to look like we know them. game when it became clear that the Knight Hall was not capable of containing the glare. The Pale King resorted to his final plan: he hid his White Palace and his Pale Court in the dream world, at this point all the furniture in the palace was covered under white sheets similar to how people in the real world cover their clothes. furniture during long trips.
The palace was also completely covered in thorns and buzz saws similar to how people in the real world cover their houses with thorns and buzz saws. The Pale King eventually passes away while he is sitting on his throne in the White Palace. There is no confirmation of what killed him, but there are a few things to consider. The throne room is incredibly dark compared to the rest of the palace. The particle effects and an ambient track in this room are identical to that of the Abyss, the entire king mold surrounding the Pale King is dead, the ancient Basin itself has also been tainted with the presence of the void, as it can be seen. as high as the deteriorating elevator shaft leading back to the city, remember that mistake. that was sealed in the abyss to ensure that the beacon was not turned off.
Well, the headlight was off. I guess all that living with a purpose is nonsense, after all, it seems like the sea avoids itself and actually convinces the insects to betray them. his king and turns off the beacon, damn it okay, exactly how conscious is the void, is the void able to think for itself, can it form strategies? Does it host a podcast well? According to this chozo statue scam, the void is powerful but it is not unified, so while I can punch things approaching or shout in unison to turn off a light, it is not a single sentient.
Returning to The Pale King , one could argue that the void could have played a role in its eventual demise and I have argued that point of view in the past, but we must remember that there is not enough evidence to know for sure. Expert attorney and good friend of mine, Johnny Cochran, once said that any evidence that the Void was involved in the death of the Pale King is circumstantial. My name is Johnny Cochran, right above the White Palace, the bugs in the city of Tears weren't faring much better. If we ignore the fact that the infection still existed, there were other problems that helped bring about the fall of the city due to the sealing of the gates, some insects resorted to cannibalism to avoid famine and there is also that metric ton of corpses lying in the walls of the sanctuary of the soul, when everything was said and done, the only citizen left standing is the eternal Emilite.
The eternal Emilite says it as if he were a character from Dark Souls. The white lady ends up in a cocoon deep in Queen's Gardens. Seamlessly transitioning to introducing the music of the Shrine to keep him from spreading her seed, she claims that this is due to the shame she feels in helping the Pale King create the vessels, but honestly, that's probably just her. Kink, the white lady also decreased her power, possibly as a way to keep herself hidden from unwanted outside visitors. her cocoon dryer stood guard protecting the Queen of her from the violent traitor mantises.
Draya eventually gets killed by these bugs, which is actually pretty lame if you think about it, I mean we're talking like the Netgear wpn824n N150 wireless router, lame talking about it, don't do it. talk about a girl like that hypothetically let's move on to Hacemore Hagamore held the city Crest a key used to open one of the gates of the city of tears at some point the hegem's armor was stolen by a worm now worms were generally despised and forced to doing menial jobs were incredibly weak and basically deserved all the discrimination they suffered, but this worm decided to turn the tide and stole Hagamall's shell so he could defend his oppressed brothers.
Their actions were not motivated by infection, but were a result of how hierarchical caste systems will always lead to working class revolution and that true freedom can only be achieved, blah blah blah, capitalism is bad, subscribe to my patreon, moved to Royal Waterways and started living changing his name to Dung Defender. Now I love wallowing as much as the next guy, but you'd really love to put up with living with coincidences. The Dung Defender maintained an unwavering sense of Duty and loyalty to the king and a love for both his fellow Knights. that he made statues of them, how nice.
I haven't seen this. I haven't actually seen this in the game, so this could potentially be another area I missed. I met the White Defender in the house of God. and people mentioned that there was an area under the Dung Defender for that, so I haven't actually gone there, so I'm assuming this is down there, so he's made little dung monuments to monuments to his past, which is pretty good and look. I know that while Fake Night may be just a lowly worm, it was a brave mission for him to protect the worm brothers from him, so there you have it.
Beauty and loyalty to the king and love for his fellow Knights to such an extent that he made statues of them. what cute olgram acted as defender of the pipes and the isma grove a section of the royal canals filled with acid and in the middle of it all rests the corpse of isma which has been overtaken by the plant life isma is probably responsible for this acid plague, but we have no idea what happened to her harness, the whereabouts during this time is quite mysterious, we know that she left the deep nest and did not return until the events of the game, at some point she dedicated herself to protecting Hallness from the intruder warriors as well as the discarded shell in Kingdom's Edge Despite the Kingdom's problems at large, fortunately this fate did not befall one of the fandom's favorite characters, the fixer-upper critters continued to fix the broken signs and poles of Hallownest in From a diary entry, we can see that one Mender Bug in particular had found himself on the verge of a long and loving relationship.
Hello again, diary. It's not long until the next Minder party for a stealthy guy. We were a wild bunch when we got together and Minder Berry kept flashing me that smile. It might be time to gather my courage and act on it. I love my home and my life, but sharing it with someone else why would that be the berry on top. Greenpath also underwent some changes during this time the Moss relatives were waiting for the call from the UN that would bring them back to the dream they were originally born from, but for some reason the lack of strength deteriorated, we don't know why this happened exactly, did it happen?
Was it because the white lady claimed part of her kingdom? Was it somehow due to the infection that some moths may believe? on hid, but it seems that he is actually calling his children, but many of Moss's relatives cannot hear or call. Instead, many mosquitoes appear to have carried the glow infection to their leaves, which could explain why Greenpath became overgrown. vegetation despite the deteriorating background Powers The moss-covered wanderers even openly chose to abandon and worship the glow. Another tribe that was ruined by the glow is the Hive that fell to the infection after the death of their leader, the Hive Queen Vespa. , but it seems like this had happened Little effect on their civilization, it would have been a cool boss fight if we ever had to do that now familiar showdown against the Queen of the Hive, since the Hive probably already operates under something similar, for which, in other words, the Hive probably got the best of this.
The whole situation let's turn our attention to the moths, after all, it's their God who keeps killing everyone, while Mothra didn't fare too well as almost the entire tribe died. The only known survivor is the Seer despite the loss of her tribe. The Seer continued tending the graves in the resting grounds while she awaited the arrival of the bearer, a mysterious being that her tribe had dreamed of for some time. At the End of the Kingdom, the earth was covered in ash malted by the worms that decomposed the corpse. The Colosseum of Fools continued to prosper.
Mr. Fool passed away at some point, but no one seems to notice or even care. The fools inside the Colosseum were infected, but still seem to have maintained control over themselves. It seems possible that these insects have accepted the infection voluntarily. Similar to the Trade Lord and his followers, this would have given them an advantage in combat similar to using steroids, but without the whole shrunken testicles thing, however, even the Traitor Lord and his followers went crazy, so, What makes these fools more special when it comes to pale ones? King's Champion, the pale stalker, well she just went crazy, there seems to have been another unforeseen event with the pale king's plan when the Hollow Knight was originally chosen, the door to the abyss was sealed trapping the discarded vessels inside, but apparently some containers.
I didn't get the note container. Corpses can be found scattered throughout the kingdom. There is one in the old Reach, one in Green Path, and several nosts trapped in the Deep Nest. Another mountain Escape From The Abyss is the player character, the Knight, the exact details on how. the ships escaped from the chasm it is not clear there are indications that they could have slipped towards the Deep Nest through some ancient passageway given the influences of the void in part of the area and all the corpses found in Nosq's Lair at some point all entries to Holiness were closed with the The old and well-supported mouth is the only way to return sneakily despite this, several people have made their way to the kingdom and few characters return as Relic Seeker Lem seems content with simply looting artifacts from the Kingdom in ruins, but other insects seem interested in something bigger. on the howling cliffs rests the corpse of a member of the insect Grim Troopers appears to have been searching for the most sacred so that the troop can be summoned to the kingdom in the future.
The Grim Show is basically a group of insects that serve a higher being. Known as the Nightmare Heart, the troop keeps the heart alive by feeding on the nightmares of the fallen kingdoms. This process also involves sacrificing the troop master for his own son because, hey, look at this cool boss battle, another important group that traveled to the most sacred are the God Seekers after being a big excuse me what's a really animated one what's going on here oh maybe oh we haven't gone back to trash urine since we went to God's house in our game, that's really cool, maybe we should go back and check if the character we freed from the coffin really he wake up.
That is an important question. I guess we just entered their dream, but maybe they woke up, but then how are they still dreaming? When they're awake we'll have to go check it out and see. I like the fact that there's a story full of dreams and connective tissue in Hollow Knight and then you also have nightmares, uh, which is a cool way to play with the Grim troop that's really awesome to travel to.sanctify Nest are the godseekers after being abandoned by their old gods the gods of thunder and the gods of rain these insects left their home in the land of storms searching Find a new God to worship the god The Seekers seek to The Gods to save them from their own silent mind as they travel through the wastelands, the God Seekers built devices called God Tuners that helped them search for New Gods.
This must be something we have yet to discover. ourselves from God's local law I guess the Thunder gods and the rain gods look at these huge things in the background here these insects left their home in the land of storms looking for a new boy the land of storms that it's new information to me chances to save them from their own silent mind walking calmly through the wastelands, the God Seekers built devices called God Tuners that helped them search for New Gods through this device they were able to detect the lingering power of the King Pale and find their way to the most sacred.
When they arrived, however, the godseeker was forced into hibernation, she was encased in a strange sarcophagus-like cocoon that was itself chained with a padlock. It is unclear how this forced hibernation worked as the cocoon appears to have been made by the Godseeker herself as who put the cocoon on Chains for, I think the most likely candidate is the Dung Defender considering how the Seekers Cocoon of Gods is located in the garbage pit in the canals, an area that the Manure Defender has been tasked with protecting. This was the general picture of the most sacred after the Hollow Knight was sealed within the Black Egg Temple, the kingdom was trapped in a sort of stasis with the Pale King's civilization destroyed and the radiance unable to break free from its chains.
The Pale King was rebelling against nature by trying to keep his work going indefinitely. the stasis over the void was maintained for a while, how long does it last exactly? We have no idea, as I'm sure you've noticed that there's really no timeline for anything that happens in this game. We also have no idea how long it lasts. These insects can actually live. Elder Bug wasn't around to see the open deer, but we know that several other characters were hinting that Elder Bug is probably one of the youngest characters in the entire game. The interesting thing is that Howell Nest wasn't going to last forever.
At some point, radiance erupted from the Hollow Knight, shattering his shell and releasing a loud and powerful roar. The amount of infection leaking from the Hollow Knight became even greater. The many corpses that lined the roads and cities of the Kingdom came to life with the amplified power of the infection, something that is really cool when talking about the raw, obviously it is the roar that the Holy Night makes when you are in that fight, it comes from the radiance. I really like that detail because then, like the pure container. doesn't have that and it's a really nice way to show some coherence there with the crack lets the scream come out the glow is seeping in it's a really nice touch this strengthened infection caused the Weavers to leave back to their old home now this old home might be far away Loom the realm that Hollow Knight's silksong takes place in far away Loom the amount of knowledge we have about silksong right now is pathetic, so I'm not saying I've confirmed it or anything, This is also By the time Coral returns to Hallownest, her memory of Motoman appears to have become clouded due to her time away from Hallownest.
These events are described in the Coral prequel comic, which also shows an image of the Hollow Knight with a pre-cracked shell. That's cool, there's a weird old prequel comic I'll have to read that breaks around the same time Coral arrives at Hollownest. We also see the arrival of the player character commonly known as the Knight. The Knight was one of the lucky recipients. that he was able to get out of the Abyss somehow, the Knight ended up venturing Beyond the Sacred and into the Wild Beyond, it is implied that the Knight was called to us by the sealed Hollow Knight or by the glow within, regardless of the fact that he was once a knight. appears and eats itself on this cliff, the real game of Hollow Knight finally begins now there are a lot of details we could include in Hallownest is full of NBCS and bosses, each with their own stories to tell, but to be honest, no I think I need to go through all of them as their stories are relatively simple, for example let's look at haunting Malik, so why is haunting Malik haunting because all his friends are dead and there you have it, that's the story of the haunting wallet and is also the only character?
In the game with a visible now, did you really need me? To explain that to you, probably not, instead I'm just going to talk about the interactions related to the main story of Hollow Knight. The night is finally noticed by Hornet, who draws him deep into the Green Path, there Hornet attempts to kill the Knight claiming that she knows. What would she try to do at this point? Hornet sees that the Knight is too weak after the fight. Hornet can be found in the City of Tears next to the Hollow Knight Statue. Hornet mentions that the Knight has gained stamina due to time.
He passes into the void Beyond Howell's Nest, this could refer to the fact that some of those who leave the Hallow's Nest lose their memories of him, meaning that the Knight would have no memories of his own tragic conception of him. Hornet tells a knight that if he seeks to continue the stasis that keeps Helena standing he should look for the tomb in Ash which refers to Kingdom's Edge at this time Hornet sees the night as a possible replacement for the Hollow Knight basically the Knight could break the seals to keep the Hollow Knight locked away defeat the Hollow Knight and contain the infection itself, it is at this point that I should mention that Hollow Knight actually has five different endings because of course I will explain each of these endings in this video, as each of them gives us a different take on the mechanics of the Hollow Knight world now to get the easiest ending for the Hollow Knight Hornet's instructions to go to the Edge of the Kingdom can be completely ignored if the Knight stumbles upon the resting grounds, the three dreamers will appear and throw the Knight into the dream realm there.
Seer will come to the good rescue and grant him the nail of dream, a special work that can tear the veil between the real world and the world of dreams, with the nail of dream, the invention of Nike in the resting places of the three dreamers, not the sound of Lego Yoda's death, will unlock the entrance to the black egg inside the egg, the Knight finds the chained Hollow Knight silently watching over him once the chains are broken, the Hollow Knight screams with that familiar Radiance Roar and chases the night as the fight progresses, the Hall Night begins to attempt suicide Coral Style, but then the Shining begins to use the Hall Knight's body to perform its own attacks.
Oh wow, all night he starts spitting, that makes sense, that's cool, the Knight is then able to focus the infection on himself, resulting in the game's first ending called Hollow Knight. In sending, the Knight usurps the hollow Knight, prolonging stasis over the most sacred new chains and bindings appear if I know and restrain the Knight and a new seal is placed over the entrance to the black egg. Now there's a giant question hanging over this. In the end, can the Knight really contain the infection indefinitely? Or will the ratings still manage to release a day before answering this question?
Let's look at some of the other events that can occur while playing if the player chooses to go to Kingdom's Edge Hornet. will challenge the Knight one last time as a final test of strength after his defeat. Hornet allows the Knight to access the discarded shell where the Pale King was originally born by interacting with this egg. The night shell is marked with the king's mark, which technically means that the night, the new ruler of Hallownest with the king's Brandon Knight can now open the entrance to the abyss and discover the place of his birth. Coming out of the abyss, the night is able to meet Hornet again, where for the first time Hornets suggests that there are actually two outcomes.
Knight can act, telling the Knight that he can prolong the Hellenistasis or face the heart of the Kingdom's infection on the night Hornet sees an opportunity for change rather than simply replacing the gap. Knight Hornet believes it may be possible to get rid of the infection. completely using the void within the night after visiting the abyss and obtaining the shadow cloak, the Knight is able to reach the white lady hidden in the Queen's Gardens, the white lady tells a knight that she has been waiting a container for accepting a gift. That gift is half of an amulet called The King's Soul that she believes will give the Knight more power.
The white queen goes on to explain that she can feel the Hollow Knight's weakening within his Roots and tells the Knight that he is free of the imperfections that made the Hollow Knight a defective vessel. From this dialogue it is implied that the Knight truly is a vessel. pure capable of containing the radiant successfully. It's not that simple, so we're going to have to dig a little deeper into this basically. We'll need to answer a simple question: what exactly does it mean to be a Hollow Knight despite the white queen's words? We have several instances where characters and item descriptions mention that the Knight has a will and perhaps even a mind. so this video just glosses over things that I haven't seen simple yet, so we're going to have to dig a little deeper.
I'm just saying, what is this? Basically, we're going to need to answer a simple question, what exactly does it mean to be a Hollow Knight despite noticing that this Steel Soul Gin is okay, so I'm guessing it'll be an NPC in Steel Soul Run, but it's, um, no. is there, there is already a The gin is not there, it has a wheel of its own, okay, it is interesting despite the white lady's words, we have several cases in which the characters and item descriptions mention that the Knight it has a will and perhaps even a mind, but from the Pale King's dialogue when describing the Hollow Knight, it is stated that a pure vessel has no mind or will, so the white queen is wrong or perhaps even lying.
Her eyes have clouded over time and she can be tricked into thinking that Ogram is in the room when the Knight is. using the defender's crest amulet, yes we did this, this is fresh, dry, it's still alive, so maybe the white lady is just senile. My problem with that theory is that the white queen claims that the glasses stand out clearly in a foggy world due to being her spawn, she also wonders whether or not the Knight sought her help, which would imply that the Knight must have some kind of will, so for some reason the white lady thinks that tonight she is still able to contain the radiance, even if she is still able to do so. making decisions after all, the Knight of the hall was considered pure, but he was still taught how to wield a sword.
I mean, if the Knight were truly and completely Hollow in a literal sense, he probably wouldn't even be able to walk or draw a map or open it. a damn bank account, in short, this whole concept of being hollow is so abstract and difficult to define. I don't really feel comfortable giving a solid answer as to whether or not the Knight is truly Hollow and I think the game leaves room. Open to other interpretations, of course, the gift of the white queens is useless without the other half of the king's soul to reach it, however, the Knight must travel to the White Palace locked inside the body of a bold king in order to avoid the Knight's seal. he should use a fully awake sleep nail.
He can do this by bringing 1800 Essence to the Seer, which will allow her to sharpen the blade of the weapon if the Knight does this. The Seer comments that the Knight really is the bearer her tribe has been dreaming of. There is no explicit explanation. Which is why the Moth tribe was dreaming so much about this supposed wielder, but it seems they believe the wielder would erase the crimes the Moth tribe committed by turning their backs on the glow. The Seer seems to know that the Knight could kill the glow and she seems to accept it ready for her and her tribe to disappear and be forgotten forever with the waking dream nail in hand the Knight can travel to the refuge of the Pale King and locate the other half. of the King's Soul amulet when equipped the King's Soul provides an endless supply of Soul, making it almost useful if for the incredibly high cost of the amulet and the painfully slow rate at which it increases and the fact thatthat the amulet will be replaced in about five minutes after you obtain it, the King still amulet itself symbolizes the union between two higher beings, to me this implies that Kingston is the presentation of a vessel that was also created by the union of two higher beings with the royal sole in their inventory, the Knight now gains access to an area in the abyss called the birthplace in this huge pile of vessel shells, the Knight can find a giant egg.
Dreaming that nailing the egg allows the Knight to access his own memory of when he was thrown into the abyss upon seeing that memory, the king, so the amulet is replaced with the empty heart amulet. Great, the memory of this event allows the Knight to come to terms with the emptiness within himself once the Knight has an empty heart, the shadows in the abyss no longer attack him, and that strange creature that gives the Knight the shadow cloak calls him the Lord of Shadows, yes this was cool, we saw this in our game and found the void once fragmented under his own will, allowing him to control the void in a new and powerful way with the Union of the Void.
The Pale King and the white queen, the Knight, have gained strength. Before being invisible, it is with this spell that two additional endings are unlocked. Hornet will now be standing outside the black egg offering to help the Knight if the opportunity arises. Halfway through the fight with the Hollow Knight. Hornet charges into battle subduing the Hollow Knight and piercing. It's cool how he goes straight to the head, like that, in space, he enters his brother's mind and then you miss the opportunity, finally putting him in before I can stand there and let Hornick be knocked unconscious if the Knight takes out the hallway .
The night, as usual, the Sealed Brother ending happens, it's basically the same as the Hollow Knight ending, but now Hornet is also in the room and her face appears on the black egg door, it's unclear what exactly it means this for holiness, so she becomes a dreamer. but she locked in the temple inside the temple, yes, which means no one can go in there to kill her if the knight ever starts leaking infection. At the same time, Hornet mentions that the black egg's bindings would drain hers, so she's probably just going to die anyway, right, people generally consider this one of the worst endings, but it's worth noting. that Team Cherry doesn't endorse any ending as the true ending, every ending is canon in its own right and honestly, this ending isn't the worst thing is that at least the Hornet Knight will be able to have a good time together if the Knight Dreams Now the Hollow Knight will be taken to an arena where he can finally fight the glow head-on we can fight the damn son what's the other thing?
Shadows will appear from the abyss to help corral the glow, eventually the glow becomes trapped in the tendrils of the Void, the night slaps it a few times and then the glow is consumed in darkness, the black egg then appears to turn into shadows and the Vacuum seeps into the ground. The hornet wakes up and finds the knight's broken shell lying on the ground. We get a final shot of the shadows in the abyss coming to rest and the game ends. This ending is called the dream. The glow will no longer end. is gone and Hallownest is finally free of her infection.
Now I think it's fair to ask some questions about how the dream of no more end came about when the Hollow Knight was initially chosen to become the pure vessel, the abyss was sealed and the rest of the vessels were left to rot, but somehow way the vessels ended up outside the abyss and then one of those vessels was used to replace the Hollow Knight exactly how much of this operation was planned, if indeed the white queen was waiting for a vessel. have some communication with Hornet Hornet was guarding the king's mark the only way for a vessel to enter the abyss how did she know it was necessary to protect the king's mark from weaker vessels?
Hell if the pots escaped the abyss on their own, right? It would be pointless to protect the king's mark since the vessels could return to the abyss in the same way. I'm not going to give good answers to these questions because God forbid I answer anything in this entire video, but I do want to point out that there are no plans to produce the dream, no further ending in the game is explicitly stated, so we can only speculate. about whether the white lady or the hornet or maybe even the Pale King knew they could defeat the radiance by creating a Shadow lord. like the Knight, regardless of the fact that the next two endings were definitely not planned, we came up with them ourselves, the weddings that were added in the Godmaster update almost feel out of place, the God Seekers basically hijack everything to the point in that you don't even have to enter the Temple of the black egg to beat the game is interesting, it's like beating Mario Bros without even seeing Bowser, but on the other hand, the master god endings basically reinforced that the sacred does not exist in him, yeah, you can talk to the interesting godseeker in the garbage pit because what? otherwise it's great just a bunch of random chaotic stuff happening all the time if the Knight finds the god Seeker in the garbage pit he will be able to enter his mind and fight all the bosses in the game again .
This is part of the ritual of god seekers. Basically, they attuned themselves to the Resonance of the gods through ritual combat, this allows them to ascend their minds higher and finally, through the use of Godly Focus, manage to communicate with the god that sleeps in the empty heart, oh wow, okay, that's a pretty complicated little religious practice they have, it's amazing. So they're okay, we're measuring the knight's Theon levels, that's cool, so they have their own way of reaching the radiance within the Godmaster himself and avoiding the whole black egg thing, that's really cool, so this is the type of entry to the territory. of things we haven't yet experienced or seen ourselves in uh, in my game it's very good, so I guess once you beat Pantheon of Hallownest, you'll be introduced to the radiance in that sense or the radiance is like in that Pantheon, you know , that's amazing, it's pretty complicated, but the point is that these God Seekers have some serious capabilities for things in Hellenistic, as we're about to see the Knight do more and more through the four pantheons, the Gods Seekers come closer and closer to making contact with the radiance locked within the hollow Knight at the end of the fourth Pantheon, the radiance becomes conscious in this strange meeting scene between the vessels, yes. saw this she is not the only one to make an appearance the void itself seems to go on the attack rising to fulfill the call of the radiance it is at this point that the final challenge the pantheon of the most sacred is available the seeker of gods finally recognizes the Knight as being more than just a shamer When you start observing the night more closely after defeating a million bosses in the final Pantheon, the night finally comes face to face with the absolute Radiance, oh, a more improved version of the final boss of the game, finally the stage is After about 40 minutes of intense action and tedious boss battles, the Knight has finally reached the ultimate enemy responsible for the destruction of the sacred.
This truly will be a battle for the ages. Alright, let's check on our old friend Minor. He is still alive when night comes in Hallownest and he is still doing his duty after all this time, let's take one last look at his diary, my beautiful diary, someone left and broke my favorite sign right there on top of the Cross, they got Varti the cameo. in the video, but you know, I can't get mad about it. I should really thank you for having more opportunities to fix that beautiful, complex sign and I've stocked up on spares so I'm not afraid of it being left broken for long.
For a long time, I'm not sure why Team Cherry thought this was necessary, but the general consensus on Reddit is that they're bloodthirsty warmongers, so it's true, but at least the men are bugs. His final moments will be spent fixing one of his favorite signs in Forgotten Crossroads. It is comforting to think that his last Seconds of Consciousness were spent in total happiness before we sent him careening into the infamous Abyss that is oblivion. Well, anyway, the alternate fight between the Knight and the Shining plays out differently than in the vanilla ending this time. the night is not accompanied by any shadow, okay, I'm seeing, I'm seeing this for the first time, this monstrosity now passes this creature, look God of God, damn it, okay, the empty entity, but I really don't like any of those, so we'll just call him Bill Bill proceeds to completely annihilate the glow in spectacular fashion, we are then treated to the giant void creature that returns from the sky falling to the rest of God, home, the Seeker god begins to be dragged away. towards Bill by tendrils of the void.
We then cut to the godseeker in the garbage pit. Emptiness begins to leak from his eyes and it looks as if Bill is escaping back into the real world, which is probably a bad thing. Wow, okay, great, as the infection begins to disappear from nearby Vines. Horny hears footsteps coming from inside the Black A as the entire night is revealed to her and the two prepare for combat, so in this scene we can see that the Shining's death in God's Home actually killed her, which It really means that the infection on what is most sacred is now gone, this means that the seals inside the black egg probably disappeared allowing the Hollow Knight to escape from his prison;
In other words, the ending of Embraces of the Void is a fucking Cliffhanger and we have no idea, yeah, that's why he'd actually be running loose in the sacred nest. and the Knight has transformed into a raging void monster that could attempt to destroy the entire Kingdom or at least what remains of it. What's even stranger about this ending is that the announced sequel to All Night Silk Song doesn't seem to be related to the relegation. not at all, but that's a completely different show, obviously the biggest mystery surrounding this finale is Bill's appearance. Did this creature already exist in the void or was it somehow created by the power of the god?
Seekers, did the Knight turn into this thing? Did he just become a part of this? Examine a statue of this creature and other forms of the night. Grants the player a Hunter's Journal entry for an ancient artifact called the Void Idol. Oh, it would imply that this creature could have been worshiped by ancient civilization. This is cool, okay, so this is also something new, so you can see a statue of the night and other forms, a rare artifact from a time before the sacred, its spies intertwined into a unified form that contains a large amount of liquid from the abyss perfectly.
Still inspired or angry with those ancient insects, they devoted their worship not to any Lord, power or force, but to the Darkness itself. Lem, that's really cool because I love all kinds of interaction we have regarding ancient history of the most sacred tastes. learning about the arcane eggs and learning that, like those soul statues and everything was even before this, was really cool. The world building was great, like setting it up, so it's like the most sacred kingdom and its inhabitants weren't the first and they might not. be the last one and it was kind of a cool way to be like yeah, a good, persistent world that goes on and adds some mysteries in there that don't really have to be answered, but adds a good amount of intrigue.
Throughout the entire experience, I had no idea this would happen so it was amazing, but again, that's pure speculation, we don't know what exactly this void worship looked like, maybe the void they worshiped took the form of something more sinister. . One thing we know about this monster, although he is weak to flowers, yes these things, it turns out that those delicate flowers that Samir has accumulated in his butt are actually useful for something, they contain a strange power that even deters the white lady. to touch the seeker of gods. however, accepting a night flower if the player does this instead of releasing the void into the world, this flower attracts a no, you and the godseeker and the void disappears into thin air, the flower itself is described as emitting a pale light, wow, stay. connected to the pale beings canceled for the pale beings seem to be some kind of first level gods, that's cool at the moment we only know two The Pale King and the white lady, but the fact that Samir brought these pale flowers from a place far away The far away land implies that there are definitely more of them out there.
Another small hint of the existence of pale beings are the pales or items that can be found everywhere in Hallownest. Did they come from The Pale King or possibly some other pale being and what exactly are they? are poop in general, Godmaster endings seem to be setting upa lot for future Hollow Knight content, as I said before, Hall Knight's Silk Song doesn't seem to connect these events on the surface, so we're in a bit of a pickle. In trying to discuss what these entries actually mean for the overall narrative team Cherry is building, there's definitely a lot more to consider about what the pale beings are and what properties they possess, and we also have a lot of questions about the void and how the voids have interacted. insects.
With that in the past, it almost feels like we're looking through a keyhole trying to grasp the entirety of Team Cherry's creation. How powerful creatures like Bill and the worms are. Where did things like emptiness come from to begin with? it's the Beyond Hallownest world it's Bardun on silly things but of course that's the appeal of a game like Hollow Knight, having all the answers to every question would just ruin the mystery of the world, plus if we didn't have questions like this to waste . our time then what else would we be doing with our lives?
Go out. So this video comes to an end now. I know the average attention span of a YouTube viewer is nine minutes, so let me leave you with some takeaways. 1. Hollow Knight is a game about insects. I know this may surprise you, but it's true. Watch the video again and this time pay attention. You will notice it immediately. I promise. 2. Murdering your own babies may not be a good idea after all. I mean, obviously this is just my interpretation of the game's story, other people may have different views on the baby murder issue and every opinion is valid, so I don't want to step on anyone's toes or nothing.
Three Commander Bug is dead 4. Nothing is certain. This video probably has some flaws. Trying to construct a coherent narrative with the information found in Hollow Knight isn't exactly easy. I'm sure my views will change in the future and I encourage you to exp

the story yourself. 5. and This last point is pretty obvious, but I have to mention it anyway Corey in the House is the best anime, amazing, that was the most Banga

video, okay, amazing, wild, it was an experience I didn't expect. I'll be honest with everyone I've probably put this video on a divine pedestal, not the video I was really expecting.
There were some really interesting things here that I really enjoyed learning about and they were mostly things I hadn't seen yet. or experienced, uh, so there were some interesting character-like moments that we had missed, like uh, Hornet being the daughter of Hera the Beast, that was really cool, uh, seeing things with the Godmaster endings that we haven't yet we have achieved was also really great. and how that relates to skipping the Black Egg Temple thing because you can defeat the glow in the sky instead, but there were definitely some interesting things here, the knights too, more information about the identities was nice, um, not much.
The humor didn't really reach me and I didn't feel super necessary. I think I would have preferred maybe something that was a little more serious going through this. I don't know if the jokes were there to try. and make people pay attention, or you'd like to wake them up, be like haha, joke, keep watching guys, I don't know if that's the focus, obviously, I'm not, I'm not Mouse bag, but, you know, humor. It's subjective and not everyone is going to vibe with everything, there are a lot of exhaling through the nose moments, but there are a lot more eye-rolling moments of humor.
It took me out of the video a little bit because I came here, you know, I think for those of you who are really familiar with me and my content, my channel will know that I really like to dive into the law and try to piece it together myself and come to those understandings and create my own theories and all that kind of fun stuff. So when there's a video on law that's very thoughtful, this is the video to watch, you know what I mean, so I guess I'm going to watch a video expecting that same level, um, and there were a couple of things.
It just didn't land for me, I guess I thought, "Okay, so this video is like there's some informative knowledge here that's really good, my own interpretations of the law and then, a bunch of jokes in there." well, you know, um, and that's okay, it's not too, it's not too long of a video, which is pretty good, like summarizing the mostly complete story of Hollow Knight, um, there's a lot of things in there that are recognized as if you knew you couldn't have them. every answer to every question and it's kind of impossible to do it like that, not only are the answers there, we don't even know what Tim Cherry knows, but I think overall he answered and showed some things, there's a lot of things.
I guess it's also kind of a summary of the story, so I feel like this video wasn't as effective as it probably could have been because we did a pretty decent job through our own playthrough of going over the story and trying. to reconstruct it ourselves, so a lot of things were shown here that we were already aware of or had already experienced, so it wasn't enlightening in that sense, but on the other hand, there were a lot of things that we were able to see. that was new, it gave us a nice outsider's perspective on things, which was really nice, um, but yeah, I know exactly what it was, what I expected to come in.
I know on the other hand there are people who say "hey, blood-borne." it has a fucking eight hour pale blood quest, you know you can go and experience it and I haven't even touched it yet because, you know, it's quite a journey, but I feel like it would be more of a serious kind of adventure. I delve into the law and the history so obviously I still have some questions about the law and there are some things that we'll probably all continue to look for answers to and I mean that's also summarized in this video with the most.
The bags say: Hey, there are things I don't know, this is just my interpretation, and like you said, your feelings might even change, like this video is already a few years old, and Silk Song isn't out yet, so let's not do it. . I have those answers, uh, but I like that he's self-aware enough to bring things in like you know these are interpretations and theories and weave them into some kind of story and narrative while also summarizing the kind of confirmed events. within the experience, um, but overall I enjoyed taking this one after many, many recommendations, probably the most recommendations I've ever had for a history video out there, so I guess there were a lot of expectations and a lot of like an exaggerated nature. about this video going into it, where I was as a man, this is going to be significant like every single thing about the law, every question answered.
I think that's how I've almost been promoted, so addressing it. um and being something a littlea little bit different it threw me off a little bit and I will always react honestly and genuinely about how I feel about things. I'm not going to pretend to like something. I'm not going to fake my reactions. I'm not going to pretend to like something. I'm not going to fake my reactions. I'm going to try to say oh uh. Everyone likes this so I have to love it too, otherwise people will get mad at me and, you know, people might actually be upset or disappointed with my reaction to things because I didn't react correctly.
The way they might have wanted or expected me to do it and the expectations is a very funny thing, isn't it? I had expectations watching this video of how much it had been promoted and, uh, it subverted my expectations by being something different, you know, and that's it. This is how the world works, we all have different opinions, interpretations and points of view, and this video even communicates and talks about that, you know, so I hope you enjoyed this video and that we went over this and let's talk about it . That's why I wanted to. Also pause at some points and discuss and review it.
You know, I like to get into the law and do things and, uh, put all of that together and it's kind of gratifying to watch a law video like this and have a lot of our own theories and thoughts about history, kind of confirmed or just discussed, which one. was which was really nice so yeah of course I hope you enjoyed this video uh I don't mean to be intentionally. Here is a video that will bother you. I guess maybe I'm preemptively worrying because I'm not jumping for joy over what I've experienced, that people might be angry or upset about it.
I do not know but. You know, there are probably people who found this video funny and engaging at the same time. I didn't find it as I could have without the humor and grace, I think because I would have preferred a slightly more serious approach to the subject. narrative because it took me out like I said, it took me out of the video a little bit every time it appeared and that takes away my ability to focus on other things because it's like I'm being taken out of It's like a dumb joke since the Godmaster DLC would call it shame , you know, but thank you very much for watching it genuinely.
I love holiday night so much. I'm going to go through this myself. I bought this along with uh with uh oh God oh God jump scared I accidentally pressed play uh on the video um I bought this along with a nighttime plushie because I just had to have it and I'm actually really excited to read this book now that I've been waiting until this video is done in case I want to get something out of this book or something or you know other things um yeah, like I said before in the video, I would have loved it if there were more similar sources of information or similar sources of information to get out of certain things and being like that came from here, yeah, they're okay, there you go, there's Soul of Steel, Soul of Steel gin, so it's GG and it's linked to GG, so I thought: is there a gin character, but no, there's a GG character?
Soul of steel gin a strange creature that speaks with such an unusual rhythm that one can only wonder what lies beneath that shining shell of steel confess to Gigi, this mysterious sorceress remained locked in a deep sleep for years, she speaks of regrets as if her physical form and seems to have the power to summon them, she can grant anyone to face their regrets in exchange for their favorite food, ah, gotcha, that's why there is a version of Soul of Steel instead of the Confessor, you give her eggs rancid to Confessor Gigi and then you get your repentance.
Your shadow has been summoned, it's a chance when you die because a version of Soul of Steel replaces because you only have one life in Soul of Steel, so you wouldn't need to do that, God, that makes so much sense for the context. I didn't waste a single rancid egg because I didn't know what they did, uh, because I didn't pick up on Confessor Gigi's little clues, because Confessor Gigi never tells you just hey, if you bring me a rancid egg, I'll do it. just you know, uh, so I never knew that's what rancid egg does, um, but there's some really interesting stuff in here, so I'm excited to read this book myself, um, yeah, I think maybe what I would have liked a little more. delve into the world and its creation, um and pretty much all of that instead of a summary of the story and then I guess we also get things like how he recognizes that it's like everyone's stories are pretty simple so we're not going to do any of that and we'll skip it and I think there are quite a few NPCs in the game that I don't really have the full story of them or what's going on there, you know what I mean, so I think it would have been good to go over some of those things, like showing us some DLC, so DLC, sorry, some NPC stories, or how that relates to the broader narrative.
I think I would have appreciated something like that, but I mean. I can't, you can't have everything in one video, you know, you can't have everything answered as well as Mossberg mentioned, but yeah, there were a couple of things I was hoping to be able to do. experience on this one that wasn't really answered, but I guess I'll check it out. I'm going to do it myself because Mossberg has said in the video to encourage us to do it ourselves and we certainly will, so I'm going to read this wonderful Diary a bit and also continue to love and enjoy Hollow Knight along with each and every one of you. you guys while we wait for a possible release of the song Silk, which would be a lot of fun, right?
The song could come out and then we could all play it and that would be super exciting and I really can't wait, it's going to be great. I'm going to try to finish the Hallownest pantheon myself, but you know, we've seen the history video we have. I've seen what happens once it's complete which is really cool and maybe one day I can do it myself with a controller in my hands so that would be very very exciting but thank you so much for watching the reaction to the story from the Moss bag. video I hope you enjoyed it uh this is the highlight of Hollow Knight let's play I guess and like I said if you're new here and not familiar with my content if the Mossback video has brought you here please feel free free to visit my channel.
I have a significant amount of games and I really like to dig deep and immerse myself as much as possible in those worlds, so, all the law, Discovery and those types of feelings and reactions can be found in the game, less in a reaction video of lawlike this because we've already done a lot of work, you know, and I'd love to have you as part of the community, if so. I'd like to see the Christmas performance first because it's the relevant one and then maybe we can all play Silk Song together, uh, if it's finally released, so thank you so much for joining me for this highly requested video.
See you next time oh god
