? If you're like many of us, you've wondered and worried about

your

life

's purpose for a long time. Well, I

know

some people who have done it. They spent their entire lives trying to learn their life's purpose and look, we can all agree that an unexamined life isn't worth living, but if all you're doing is examining, you're not living, so let's find out together. the purpose of life right now.

They are what you do, who you do it, what those people want and need and how they change as a result Now, why is that formulation so powerful because of all those five things you need to know to know what your life's purpose is? Are there only two? about you, the other three are about other people, who they are, what they want or need and how they change as a result, that formulation forces you to look outside and at all the happiest people I met outside the store in that warm New Haven . The night they looked outward, not inward, they knew very clearly who they served, what those people needed, and how those people changed as a result.

Successful people in any field always focus more on the people they serve than on humming how they themselves are served. The happiest people go out of their way to make other people happy and do things that make them feel well cared for and safe. If you make other people happy, life teaches us that we will be taken care of too, so since you all did so well, we have time. for just a little extra credit, one of the hardest things that happens when you meet people for the first time is they ask you this question, so what do you do?

If you're one of us, sometimes we ask challenging questions, especially if you're in these moments where you're between things or you feel vulnerable or undefined or what you seem to do isn't what you actually do or what you're paid to do. it's how you define yourself so when someone asks you that question this is what you do you just say the last thing you mentioned how what you do changes the people you do it for so for example you could say I give them give children amazing dreams if your purpose in life is to write books for children so they can fall asleep at night so they can have wonderful dreams or you could say I help people look and feel better if your purpose in life is I design clothing for men and women who need affordable options so they can look and feel their best or you could say I help people get great jobs in the world if your life's purpose is to empower entrepreneurs and creative people to take decisive action. so they can take their best work to the world and then that little snippet you just said becomes yours. elevator speech and it will always start the conversation because the person you were talking to has to ask you a question: how do you give kids big dreams?

How do you help people look and feel better? Can people really do their best work in the world and then you can tell them and share your life's purpose and share how they can come to learn theirs too.
