s but uh you know the no trailer or true street class because it would be perfect for that but there's not a lot of them going on it seems like all
of them just happened so we missed them there's potentially something going on very soon for this puppy for big tire so i'm super excited that there's a possibility that there could be not only just one but a couple maybe maybe even two or three events we can do with the big tire car so since this thing's sitting here and it's you know

to go and sun is shining the birds are chirping we're going to prepare this thing for that kind of racing you know normally what
we've been doing with this car isn't quite what we're going to do with this car so i'm going to do uh you know get it

for that which you know we will eventually tell you guys about if it happens but for right now we're we're just hoping it's gonna have we're hoping things are happening we're hoping we're gonna have something to do with this in a couple weeks so until then uh we're gonna get it

but i'm also gonna get it over there on
level ground where cuddy jack is so that i can show my youtube friends all the super secret stuff we do to a car like this to get it

for junk streets and short shutdown you know so we're going to do that but in order to do that i gotta get this car over there which is easy because this car runs the hard part is what we do with that yeah cause it don't even have brakes no it does not have brakes i mean it has brakes there's just no no brake lines lines yes so uh and

when

we got
it in the shop back and we had to push it it was a good time yeah i mean it's not super heavy but that uh that's kind of hill that's kind of a hill there yeah like that one time that you let it back out of the shop and it rolled down the hill and that way i do remember that yeah we just got to figure out how to get caddy jack over here i've got the golf cart which we could hook a tow rope to the golf cart and we could we could push it out and you know just hang on and use our
feet and ski down the hill a little bit and hopefully that tree stops us and then we can use the golf cart and just pull it right up in here um yeah we could just put this lift up and go under it like if we pull yours out we could put this lift up and shimmy it under this lift and in this spot shimmy it just like you're talking about just like driving straight across just this way just drive straight through the shop this way yeah or please take that's what he wants push it straight
through this way i mean don't follow the marks it'll fit between here and here for sure we just have to kind of we'll have to into there before we do that let's take a measurement because that's a lot of work that may not work measure we're gonna have to shut that door watch out your camera what's up what's up oh my god you guys almost died everything almost yeah the camera almost flew away you saved all the youtube family life this thing blew the wind blew nitro

estimated that this is one of the flatter pieces of concrete in the shop but nowhere is it going to be 100 flat so we have these hashtag not sponsored i got these for christmas now i got scales for my birthday yeah i got these for christmas right yeah this is our normal setup box we've heard the concerns there are safety concerns

when

using these and also yes you can't roll the car back and forth

when

it's on the scales so

when

you lift it up the suspension droops in the front

when

you set the car down the suspension compresses but the problem is if it's on a surface that doesn't move and you do not roll it the outside of the tire as it pushes up on the ground so

when

you're letting the car back down it does this but it doesn't get back to where it's supposed to so

when

you roll it that's

when

it actually the suspension will stay a little bit drooped unless you roll the car back and forth which is why i usually i go to the front end after we set it
down and i pull the scale outward and that will help kick the tire out where it's supposed to be but either way it's not as i would agree with you guys it's not as consistent as being able to roll the car back and forth so we got these cool thing about these they're adjustable and they're quite a bit lighter than a cinder block with that you really have to be on a perfectly level piece of concrete or as level as you can get basically as level as the starting line would be at
the

race

track but with these you can actually get it level level even if the concrete isn't level you can get the car level with these you use these little adjusters here and you i haven't tried it yet but how about this you in the finger injury oh yeah i think yeah i tear my fingers up all the time people wonder why i wear gloves all the time to hold in the blood so i don't leak on everything okay wow that actually fits pretty good redo it yeah without talking oh yeah yeah cause

some people like to hear this stuff yeah i'm one of those people secretly that's why i watch 6061's videos all the time and who's the other one this old tony my mechanic mine mechanical now we should be able to set the car down on here and roll it to here or you could set the car down on here and then roll it here and then roll it back i'm not sure what would be the best way what would be the best way to do that i believe that the

step in this is i'm supposed to buy
you a little ramp like this and you're supposed to go all the way up and land instead of is that what this is for to put a ramp in oh my gosh i just want to be dope i just want to get off work today before i cut my finger off so i'm guessing yeah you could put a ramp here or they also have yeah they have those ones that have ramps on both sides so you could drive up and drive off that's probably what this is all for but this is all we have this is the part of it we got so one

s that you could possibly go to a very bad surface so while we have been street racing this car for a long time we haven't really been to a lot of terrible surfaces you know we've been to asphalt we've done good on asphalt
we've done good on concrete we've been to just about every service we can go to you know national event services or we could go to the street in front of the shop but in order to be

for whatever this guy could throw at us i've heard that some of these spots he likes to pick are narrow sketchy streets so we want to be

for anything unfortunately i know some of you guys are going to be sad but that means that we're leaving the wing on if anything we might be putting a
bigger wing on i know you guys don't like the wing you know a lot of you guys don't like the wing but unfortunately it works so we got to get the car

for the worst thing that we could put you know worse the worst possible situation worst case scenario is what we'll call this operation worst case scenario so we have al

uh done a little bit to the car that you guys didn't get to see that we didn't want to bore you with which was uh we added another set of brake
calipers to the back so we now have four calipers in the back of this car because we heard that you like brakes with your brakes yeah you guys didn't know it but she dropped the car off at west coast customs and uh they said yo dawg we heard you like brakes so we put some brakes on your brakes only brakes on your brakes yes so we have uh most people have a two piston caliper we have four two piston calipers because the the biggest part of the car that touches the road is the rear tire as you
can see it's freaking massive uh that's what we're going to stop the cars back tire all that in the wing and the parachutes we've also upped the parachute pressure to 225 psi so because we feel like on these surfaces we may be going a little less mile an hour so the shoots may not hit as hard as they normally would so we want them to come out faster so we just want the option to be able to put weight in the car so if we get somewhere and we're

testing

we'll make a hit and
it doesn't go we can't figure out how to make it go we might chunk some weight in there and see if it helps it we really need to get

testing

this car right away so we're just going to jump into this double check it on the scales make sure the four linking and roll bar is right choke some weight in it make sure it's still good and anything else nope okay before you do any type of work run scales over the

race

car you always want to make sure it's

ready

to go everything fluids
fuel the exact same way it would be sitting on the starting line so we're going to do that put all you know make sure the air in the tires is right we'll put the weight in the driver's seat as if i was driving the car you just want to make sure the car is exactly the way it will be on the starting line so any adjustments that you make you can keep that consistency at the

race

track or street looks just like you there you go spread out the weight in there as if there was a driver

this is my car with everything in it on the starting line the way the way i

race

it quick overview what we have here is we're looking at uh this is with no ballast in the car with driver this is something that a lot of people won't show you you know i don't think i've
ever showed anybody until now but a lot of people won't show you this you know what i mean this car with no bounce no weight in it whatsoever is 53 on the rear so everybody that's trying to add a whole bunch of weight to the back of their cars on the street to to get the ballast the bias right they're always looking at this number here that's all they ever look at is this number well you can make this number say whatever you want if you keep adding weight back there but it's

this number with this number that matters you know what i mean so like those two numbers together because if this number goes up as this number goes up then you're not really you're just band-aiding it you know i mean but if the car is built right you don't have to even worry and that's why we've never had to add weight to this car we've never had to put ballast in it we don't even have anywhere to bolt ballast in the car we didn't have tabs back there to put
ballast the only thing that we've done recently is we made a basket to put these to put those weight bars in so but because we've never we've never dealt with that if the car is built you know right you shouldn't have to this car right now has this is the right rear this is the left rear this left front is right front left driver side passenger side left rear is 784 right rear 711 which means we have what 70 pounds of negative 73 pounds of negative what i

when

i say negative uh
it means the left rear tire has 70 more pounds on it than the right rear tire and i can change that by moving the four link bar up the top right four link bar in the rear i can make that bar longer and it will make this heavier on this side if i make this four link bar longer it pushes this tire up into the wheel well and takes weight off this side puts it on that side we'll get fully into this later in a different video but from but the main thing you need to know is is as a car as it puts
power through the car tries to twist over this way and so it'll always try to put more traction and more weight on this tire and it will drive left because this tire's spinning while this tire sucks so it'll it'll just try and drive around itself it twists this way because the motor turning one way opposite you know so the motor is turning this way which means the chassis is going to turn this way so if you're sitting here the motor's turning this way which means the
chassis is going to turn this way so the motor is trying to you know the chassis is trying to go opposite the motor so it torques the car this way then the rear end the drive shaft going in the rear end is trying to make the the rear end go the opposite way believe it or not so this is going this way the rear end tries to do this way so it all tries to torque the car over and it tries to drive left and in order to combat that we put a little bit of negative what we call negative in it so if
these numbers were the same we'd call that neutral if this number if the right rear tire had more weight on that we would call that positive preload we'll pre just preload if the left rear tire has more weight that's negative negative preload we measure negative by the twisting

when

you twist the four link bar you lengthen the four link bar or you shorten the four link bar and that takes and pushes the rear end up in the car or pulls it down and so we measure it with flats because
the four link bar has six sides on it to put a wrench on it and so we call those flats so we say oh a half a flat or a full flat so half a flat a negative will get you 60 70 pounds full flat and negative might get you 80 or 90. so you know this car you would say maybe has half a flat or three quarters of a flat of negative preload but the reason for that is if you put more weight on the left rear tire as the car tries to torque over so you're you're being proactive so you got two rear
tires so as the car tries to torque over and plant this tire harder and drive to the left well on the starting line you've al

ready

got 70 more pounds 75 more pounds on this tire so as the car tries to torque over instead of driving left it's going to torque straight and then it should go straight now there are some instances that we'll get into later on a more advanced video where nothing no amount of negative is going to fix it it's still going to make enough power and enough
twist and enough bite to drive the car that way and in that situation you have to take some leverage away so make the four link intersect point less aggressive so that it doesn't you know bite down so hard and then also you can do rear steer which is that gets into so many other advanced topics but but the gist of rear steer is

when

these numbers don't seem to make a difference and it's still driving left you can cut the rear end in the housing or in the car caulk the housing in the
car the rear housing you can twist it so the car straight here's your rear housing you twist it in the car and then instead of driving to the left

when

you let off the button it's like a forklift it so as soon as you let off the button it twists the front end over and then it drives straight instead of driving left it it still drives left but it just drives straight it's a we'll get into all that we have a lot of things to talk about in the advanced video of this and a lot of you
may think this stuff is too boring and not worth listening to all night so we're just gonna run through this as quick as we can to get this car

and uh get us out of the shop a little bit and get some sunshine and uh and then very soon we will have a full full series because it's probably going to take three or four videos for you guys to get a good grasp of what i'm talking about all right all right now we should yeah adjustable you think i should run the wing
like that all the down force double winging it wow that thing is fancy what that deal you all made our baskets yeah what do you think i like it it's like a bread basket for weight you look like the witch and the wizard of oz exactly like what if i went to the grocery store and i needed to get some bread i could just right there come back here like i'm going to open the trunk just like no just put it right here look at that wow if that basket wasn't here it would be impossible to put
the weight where we're putting it on the parachutes yeah i mean we're talking we're adding weight to the car behind the rear bumper and higher than the frame like you know almost like our own little bed hurt bar it's a butthurt basket this is the butthurt basket i feel like i'm on jackass i'm brian is the butthurt basket now let's have a look see nobody even knows exactly we're at 28.70 now so that is 50 pounds exactly we are now so we've gained we were 53.0
percent we're now 54 and a half percent we get by with 50 pounds we gained one and a half percent rear bias look at that you know how much that would have taken 80 or 100 pounds over the rear end housing how much negative do we have though hopefully we stayed around 70. that's about 70 pounds really 58 68 78 88 98 100 8 108. 118. look at that why are you pointing at me no why are you playing me

it didn't change at all look at that we added 70 for 50 pounds and it did not change at all the butthurt basket is working flawlessly good job tuan we owe all of this to tuan because neither of us built that no juan definitely built that and i told him i wanted to be able to add weight behind the rear bumper above the rear bumper and where nobody could see it

why would that be weird it'd be awesome be super secretive until the wing came off and fell and broke my wheel bars would go to adjust it it's all oh dude that's solid bro we are 56 on the rear so we only had 99 pounds 49 on the second one oh man but total we were 28 20. now we're 29 19 so we're 99 pounds but still 56.1 percent on the rear bro wow all right what's our uh what's our negative 83 let's do the math 93 103 113 123 133 143 153 yeah plus four so 74
pounds yep that's freaking perfect how did that work so it turns out if if twan welds on a breadbasket and he puts it perfectly in the center of the car and perfectly square to the chassis in the rear it turns out you can get this thing where you can add 50 pounds not change the chassis 100 pounds not change the chassis now i'm going to slide it under there on my creeper i'm just going to do a quick uh you know a field check of the old four link and the roll bar make sure those are
still set where they're supposed to be oh wow look at that hey buddy what yes nice job tron hey and he made that basket it sleeved so it slides in the chassis and it's got pins and or bolts that go through it so it's like you can take the whole basket off and nobody'll ever see it so you just slide the basket in put the weight in it and you're done thanks twan you're the man okay well i'm gonna reassemble this wang and then uh yeah then i'll probably commence to
uh get this thing
