Good morning everyone, welcome back to the channel. I'm back here at Ciocca Chevrolet in Princeton today, before the rains start, we're going to try to get this on this is a brand new

2023

Chevrolet Bolt EV, the

on stock. is what we have today, we have already done the euv, let's see what the EV in 2LT trim is all about, so let's dive in as the rain starts to spray, what do we have on the front of this ship? LED lighting all around the front, nice gray paint with the blacked out Chevy bow tie that looks good on the front, we've got some features on the grill because we have to get air in to keep these lithium ion batteries cool. our right wheel and tire setup on this stud we have this 17 inch Ram in gloss black with silver accents, standard brake and rotors, tire size 215 in 50 Series 17 sidewall width, full side profile in the four corners on this EV

as you can see this is the original shape of those hard body lines on the top and bottom looks good that silver trim around the windows followed by black underneath so on Overall it looks pretty sharp for a small car as we go, we've got our charging port right here, we'll go over this. in some gloss black on the side mirrors, matching color on the front and rear door handles, the official color for this is ghost gray metallic when we get close to the hood or excuse the roof, we have that color to match the shark fin antenna and On top we don't have a sunroof here on this LT two pack on the back of this 23 bolt EV we have a small roof spoiler coming out of the windshield wiper on the rear glass under all the LED lights at the rear, which is good.

Black Chevy bow tie in the middle and the EV bolt badge with some blue accents which I think makes it look really cool, the blue obviously means electric on the left side so a good look here on the part rear of this little bolt, okay, here are the front engines. on the bolt 200 horsepower 266 pound-feet of torque MPG is 131 in the city 109 on highway 120 combined as we go down the side of the car, here's our charging port, here you open it, here's our charger level 2 charge where you can get a full charge 259 miles of total range on a full charge, the full charge on a level 2 home charger will be about seven hours capacity of the DC fast charger cable right here where you will get about 100 miles of range in 30 Minutes, okay, we're inside this little Bolt electric vehicle for

and before we start with the interior, you'll want to know Mike, how much does it cost?

Well this is cheaper than the euv, so the 2LT version which is the highest. trim level on the small tv, you're talking about a $31,390 MSRP, so let's see what the interior looks like, good, foot box action, nice, big, dead, pedal brake on the accelerator, floor mats for all weather, right there, power seats for the front for the driver's manual uh front passenger seats nice interior color black uh with cross stitch light blue blue that is a nice contrast nice and comfortable nice bolster nice look all good action of the door panel a bit monochromatic but not bad with soft touch all up flat black around the switch and along the chrome door handle, nice brushed aluminum panel to break it up, nice big door pocket and of course this 2LT has the optional Bose sound system in the dash with a soft touch here with the cross stitch I would have liked to see maybe the light blue cross stitch for thumb the seats were moved here to the dash instead from just the standard gray let me know what you think we have our nice heating and air ventilation down there we have a battery and this comes with the optional wheel locks which is nice we move on to our General Motors 10.2 inch infotainment system again, we have wireless Apple carplay, wireless Android, auto Wi-Fi hotspot, driver profiles, all the navigation through your phone in this particular one. one, plus take a look at our rear parking camera nice and clear.

Jim's rear backup cameras are so nice that there is a rear backup camera with trajectory. 360 degree cameras here on the left side with trajectory as well and then you can switch to your different camera angles if you want, a really nice setup here on this infotainment system for this little boat down below, we've got our heat and air controls right here where we have three stage heated seats for the driver and front passenger here and a really nice heated steering wheel here are our climate control controls here very, very nice down below we have an SD card of 12 volt USBC very nice USB wireless charging pad here are the buttons to go through this single speed transmission a nice little coin tray here electric parking brake two cup holders with some silver trim which is nice we have our key fob, unlock, lock, remote start, panic button, Chevy bow tie on the back, nice armrest, a little hard, but not bad, and then if we open it up in the Back here we have a nice area for storage.

Here's our leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, which I think looks great again. I wish the scene, the blue cross stitch on the steering wheel, matched the seats instead of the gray. let me know what you think about that overall, we have a flat black, everything on the switch down to a blacked out bow tie, right there, a little bit of silver trim underneath on the left cruise control and then on the right phone and voice commands. We have a paddle right here, which will adjust the level of regenerative braking that you want, so if you want to drive it like a normal car with the gas and brake pedal, you can do that or you can set it for maximum regeneration and that's a drive pedal , so as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator, the car will stop on its own, so it's really up to you and how you want to do it.

We have our bright lights and turn signals on the left as well as the front and rear. wipers in the right stock here we can brighten or dim the dash or turn on the headlights or put it on Auto, which is what we're going to do from time to time as we get into this little dash, but it's all digital and I really like it. this screen on the latch, it's easy, it's simple, you can see everything you need on the screen with a quick glance, which I like right now, we have 234 miles of range, so we almost have a full charge here and that makes it so.

We can do it much easier by just pressing the switch on the right side. We can get the tire pressure. We can get our average speed. We can get our trip information. Our driver assistance because we have full driver assistance. Blind spot monitoring. Cross traffic alert. Highway Lane still assists all that good stuff so it's a really nice setup here on the latch with this digital dash and I'm really good on the overhead console we have non-LED lighting inside this 2LT latch here's our SOS button on in case there is an emergency. here's the OnStar here's our visor here for the vanity mirror for sun visor very nice this comes off and slides back to cover the entire side window okay the sun comes in through the side of the car so now We're on the back of this. little bolt and I moved around so you can see more of me and how I fit in here five foot eleven lots of head room, lots of shoulder room, the seat is set up for my driving position, I have lots of leg room here, no no problem, the door panels the same design on the front and rear, which I like in the inconsistency of the design, we have hard black plastic, although on the top before reaching the switch, which is very good with a Semi-soft armrest here, but overall not bad in the rear. here on this little boat, we have some connectivity on the back of this little stud with a USB C and a USB A, so it's a good thing we don't have any heat or air vents that I can see back here could be coming from the floor.

We don't have a seat pocket behind the driver but we do have one behind the front passenger and then we have the same style seat as the front with the light blue cross stitch surrounding it so I like that consistency and then we get to the center armrest, a nice soft armrest, two cup holders, so that covers you on the back of this little bolt and I mean, it looks really good here, let me know what you think. I even like this cross stitch that comes around the back. from the driver's headrest and then the passenger's just gives it a nice flash, okay, rear cargo space, time and here we go, we get to the back of this little bolt, here's our rearview camera, right here and right next to it, under the Chevy bow tie is a little button, you press it, it pops up and then you have to lift it up on your own, no power assist on the tailgate and then we have a nice deep storage area back here, which I like, there are our charging cables and all that here. it's the carpeted mats if you don't want to use the all weather ones that's good we also have this EV cargo mat with all weather bolts on the back which I think looks cool and we have this safety tone that I like it, but If you don't want that security blind, all you have to do is come here and unplug it and then it's out of the way, now it just folds up, you can grab it and you can move it out of the way. which is good for lowering the back seats we have our little buttons here you just press the button on each side and they lower the seats and now we're going to bring our safety blind back up since I showed you that and now we have a There's a lot more room here back, now it's not completely flat because the back is a little deeper, but it still gives you plenty of room if you need to fit in some bigger bags or, you know, bigger items.

I think it gives you a lot of space. Plus, you have some lighting in the back. I would like to see a 12 volt voltage here to give you some power in case you need it if you are at the beach or camping or something. you need something to plug in so I'd like to see a plug in back here but other than that for a small car it looks pretty good here's the window decal on this 2023 Bolt EV 2LT in Phantom Gray Metallic with Black Leather jet. feel free to pause it, zoom in, see everything that's inside this little bolt and now we're going to take it for a spin, so we're on this 2023 Chevy Bolt EV leaving the dealership, taking it for a spin on the road and First Thoughts , I really like the design here.

I have to give Chevy a lot of credit for how this light looks and how this design looks. It's nice and easy to get to everything, it's easily understandable. I have great visibility through the windshield and the side windows and the rear, so it's easy to get around. It's a smaller car, so it's easy to negotiate and get in and out of parking spaces. It really has a smooth ride for such a small car, so of course the weight. The batteries help because they are in the lower part of the car, which lowers the center of gravity and makes it a little better, makes it handle a little better.

Sorry, my allergies are still killing me. Good visibility through the side mirrors. I really like the fact that it has heated seats and steering wheel and wireless charging so I think that takes care of most things at 31k. I'm not going to criticize it for not having ventilated seats because the price is terrible. Well for an all-electric vehicle, 259 miles isn't a great range, especially for a front-engine electric car, but if you're looking for an electric car to drive locally and just get around town and maybe some shorter trips to work or to the store or wherever, this is a pretty compelling offer in the segment at 31,000 a little over thirty-one thousand obviously you have to add the tax title and license there, but that's a really attractive price for a fully electric car It has a nice ride that handles well.

I can see why so many people like these bolts from Cioka Chevrolet of Princeton. I think they told me there were like 20 more screws coming in and all but one were sold and then this one, which is the original EV shape, seems like most people want to buy the euv, which seems to be more popular than the euv shape. Original EV like this, but you know what happens if you don't need a little extra space? I'll get into the euv in comparisonwith this. I think it's a great buy because the main spec of the euv we made a few weeks ago was almost 37G and this one is a little over 31.

So it's a huge price. difference four specs interior specs that are not too far from each other, this 2LT is a good spec, especially with the leather seats and blue cross stitch, you still get the same nice little digital dash that is easy to read, I want I mean, I'm really impressed by this car and I don't say that lightly when it comes to cars, but I'm really impressed with this little EV. I really like it and if I can get away from a lot of traffic here, we can do a stop and restart, so what I think I'm going to do here is go this way.

I have a bit of a wet idea today. I'm glad we got most of this outside stuff done before it started raining too much today. The ride is a little firm but it's not harsh, it's not really smooth, but when you go over the bumps it does a good job of cushioning that, so I think the suspension is set up very, very well. on this uh, on this little bolt EV, weird slippage due to wet weather, but it takes off really well. I mean, it's not going to pin you in the seat because we only have motors in the front and you know if you had dual motor action in the front and back is when you would get that burst of torque and get you back in the seat.

We're not going to see that here, but we do see a nice smooth acceleration up to speed, which I think is fine for what people want to use it for. car in particular, so I'm really impressed when it comes to we're going to go around the corner here and turn left to try to get out from under some of this traffic and then we'll do a quick Excel acceleration and an emergency stop to see how the brakes work under tension even in this wet weather. I think it will be a good test for that good turning ratio and there goes the spinaruski, there are these guys doing some surveys, which I think is ridiculous in the rain, but I have to do what you have to do.

I missed my turn, so I had to do that typical yui thing. I know where the turn goes on one direction of the road, but I don't know where the turn goes on the other. I walk on the road, but now we're off the road with some of the traffic coming back in the other direction and it's nice to turn, look at that nice and easy, nice and planted, no problem, now we're going back. down here, turn right now, we will accelerate very well, you can hear that noise outside for pedestrian safety and then we will try our emergency stop.

Very good, very nice, nice and linear, the wheel doesn't pull either. direction and then we come back to it and we go down the very, very nice road and we come to this left turn with the brakes around the corner a little bit of body roll, but not bad, this is not a sports car and then We're going to cross the bridge, we're going to go back a little bit to the right and then we're going to go a little bit away here and then we're going to try another emergency stop. Very, very nice takeoff, oh gosh, that's funny, but anyway, that's our look at this.
