For the four verses, well, section B is a little different in each one. Let's start here with the A section. Here are the

chords

for that, so first we have this minor seven, so in the right hand I'm doing G, C and an. By the way, this is middle C and then with the thumb of my left hand and an octave lower I'm making a bass note, next we have a D minor seven, so in the right hand I have F and C and I went up to a D in the left hand, next we have this G7 in the right hand.

I'm doing f g b and d. Watch from that F. I kept my thumb where it was and I'm doing a first second, third and fifth finger. If that's too complicated for you, you can totally skip that G. Although I like the way it sounds and of course I'm doing a low G note here in my left hand and finally here we'll land on this C major seven and so going down to this low C here with my pinky and then e g and B here and I'll talk about the asterisks in a second, we're in four, four times, so each of these measures counts in four, let me slowly play each one.

Of these chords again for the first line we have a minor seven two three four D minor seven two three four G seven two three four C major seven two three four Take me to the Moon let me play Among the Stars notice that I had to Like you modify it by moving my thumb to that g. There are a few different ways you can feel off track because your left hand doesn't stay within a five-finger position on the song you're simply working with your fingers on. to make it work well, on the next line we have this f major chord, so it's like we're doing it with the d minor seven, but this time it's actually a low f note, now we have this b minor seven flat five, so of course. the bass note will be a b.

I'm going to go up here with my thumb and the thumb of my right hand can support that F. We're just going to stretch our hand up so it's f b and d there, okay? I have this E7. I'm going to use my fourth finger there. I think in the left hand and then in the right we have a G sharp. I know it says flat, technically it should be a G sharp, um B and D. there and that's a pretty smooth transition from B these two fingers stay in the same place and finally to finish this off we have a minor so a c e I have my thumb there and then A7 now to do that we're just going to accent this C up to a C sharp.
I know it says D flat and I'm going to lower my thumb to G and this is the first time we have two chords in the same measure, so each of them has two counts one. two three four so for this line that we have and let me see what spring is like on Jupiter on Mars cool, let's talk a little bit about the rhythm because this is an energetic and bouncy song and we want to have a little bit of The rhythm goes in the right hand. I'm going to do quarter notes, so I just play on each count and that sounds great for a cover of this song.
Fly Me to the Moon, let me play Among the Stars, okay, let's talk about those asterisks there. This is what I mean by we have C major seven for two beats, the hyphen, there's the second beat, then a C6 that you replace the B with the a, then a C7. I see dominant seven, so instead of B it's a B flat, we basically choose the notes for the top notes of the chords, so it's going to sound like one, two, three, four. I made it with an asterisk because the chords and lyric table looked too messy if I kept writing six C6 C7 um so that's what it is and it's optional but it's a nice little melody and you could do the whole song like that just holding the left hand bass notes and plucking those quarter notes, but I'm going to do a little more rhythm on the left.
On the other hand, we're going to need to think in eighth notes, so instead of just one, two, three four, we're going to split the b in half thinking about one and two and three and four and I said that kind of funny, I said that with swing, which I usually don't, so it's not evenly divided, that would be one, two and three, this is a swing song, it's really swing, so the division is not even, it's kind of long, short, long, short, long, one and two, three and four, and that's it. the feel of this song and in addition to playing the downbeat with the left hand, I'm also going to play the y after the two and the y after the four, so just looping it on the minor seven will sound like this, one two and three four. and one two and three four and one two and three four so take it easy at first one two and three four and one two and three four so let me play the whole section with that rhythm, make it a little slow one two three four Fly Me to the Moon, let me play Among the Stars, let me see what spring is like on Jupiter on Mars, in other words, that would go into the next section and just to show that if we didn't swing those eighth notes, it sounds like this Fly Me to the Moon let me play it sounds good but it just doesn't have the vibe a little final touch I want to show you before we learn section B here's the song starts with these drums which is kind of like playing this swinging rhythm but then at the last minute before Before the song starts, we hear this little one, it's just an e, an octave above middle C and then a higher e, the beat would be three and the last measure of the count before we start. the song so one two and three four and one two and three and four come back to me so you can start like this if you want.
Okay, so let's learn section B, which is the second half of the verses which is for, in other words, the parts here. the chords for that, like I said, this part is different for each verse, but that's how it is for the first verse, so we'll start with the D minor seven just like we've been doing, it might actually make sense to use the fourth finger here depending on where we're going, then we have this F over G, so it's a really easy transition, you're just continuing to do the same thing in the right hand, you're just changing the bass note to a g, keep my hand C major seven just like it is. we did right, there's the asterisk notice, there's only one asterisk on this one and for that it's just going to be C major 7 C6 bars divided in half one two three four Again, the chord and lyric chart looked cleaner Doing it that way , next we have this E minor note, so my bass note with the third finger G with a second finger and E solo for two beats because we also have an A7 in this measure and that's just A7 exactly the same.
The way we did it before the transition between those two chords is really easy just the middle note has to change so far, in other words we take my hands and go back, this one starts similarly, in other words, re minor seven to F over G baby, kiss me the same with a single asterisk there and then we'll just jump to a bar of E7 just like we were doing before, so once again in that whole B section, in other words, hold my hands, in other words, honey, kiss me and then I would move on to the next verse.
Look there, just when I was building up energy. I'll do this throughout the song. I started making more of those unconventional left-hand eighth-note rhythms, like one. two and three and four and you can play with that throughout the process so we're almost there we just need to look at the slight variations in that b section for the next few verses for verse two the a section is exactly the same it's just what different lyrics we have the song Fill my heart with let me sing forever, okay, here is the B section for this verse, it is very similar, in other words, please be honest, so far it is exactly the same as the other one, This is where it's a bit. different in other words, I love you, so when we go to that F over G, it's just on that for two beats before we flatten the A to A flat for that F minor over G.
I love you and then we have C6 for two bars two three four like that, then we're in the instrumental section once again, the a section is the same, just there are no words. I'd say there's quite a bit of energy here and of course there are all the winds and little decorations in the recording. I'm not going to do any of that on the

piano

, but I'm going to play it quite emphatically and loudly, but when you get to F, it backs off. Well, here's the B section for the instrumental section, it's very similar to the B. section of the first verse, but we have this extra F dominant seven in the first line, so we have D minor seven F over G C major seven during solo two beats up to this F dominant seven, so of course, I'm going to go up to the low F note and then with your right hand you can do a C uh E flat.
If that's too complicated, you can totally stay on the C major seven, but it's a nice touch there and then move on to the E minor. and the A7 as before, so once again, great and then the next line, foreign, is like the end of the first verse. I mean, though, on this uh E7 on the recording, um, almost every time this comes up, this uh comes up. The flat nine that you hear on the piano sounded too heavy for me during the verses, but this might be a good place to sneak it in, so it's right on top of what you're already doing, we're adding a F um you.
You have to change which finger you're using, one, two, three and five so this is a nice tense sound to head into the final verse, fill my heart with the song, so of course one section is the same and then here is the final section B. so we have in other words please be honest this is a really cool moment here so E minor seven flat five I have an e here and I'm doing G B flat and D true um so this is a seven flat nine um going to a here and then I'm going to keep the bottom two notes of E minor seven flat five, so we have a G flat and then I'm going to add this D flat up here, okay, the next line in other words, so far It's the same as before, but then we have this extra time through the lyrics, in other words, this is the first time that this is an F minor seven that goes up the note from low F and I notice that I'm moving my left hand up higher than what was before.
I'm doing that with my pinky for the low F there and then in the right hand. Basically I'm playing an A flat major chord, so a C flat and an E flat one two three four then a flat over B flat there are different ways to write. that chord, but I think it's pretty clear, it's just that you keep doing that with a B flat bass note doing that with my second finger and finally we have this, so I'm doing a G minor seven there, uh, so, G if re and If you want to phrase it like this so you don't have the extra G in there and it's a little easy to play, you can do that, but I'm going to do it like this.
I love it, so get into that G7 G seven dominant, all that. What needs to change is that B flat goes to G there and if you want it to sound like the recording, this is a little tricky, but the way they phrased that first G chord is like this, it's actually a G7 sharp nine, like this which would be to be a b, an F and a G sharp, it sounds really crunchy, love, and then you'd just sharpen it there, but I think it's a little bit more accessible to both the ears and the fingers to just do the G minor seven to the G7 , so that's what I'm going to do a nice touch to capture the energy of the recording here: actually, on these two G chords, just hold your right hand and pull the notes of the chord with your left hand while we're finishing the song. let me play it from the midline here and then we can finish it in other words, in other words, I love you, okay, so here are the three asterisks here, this is what you play, it's uh G and a g with an e in the middle, but you kind of slide with a grace note in E flat, if that's too complicated, you can do it without the slide or you can leave out the low G and here's the rhythm you play it with, you have two measures for this and You're I'm going to play on beat three of the first measure, then one and then two, so we have one, two, three, four, one, two and three, and then the final moment of the song is just C, you, um, I did an octave with my left hand and a c up here, but it doesn't really matter, you could do a bunch of octaves, you could just do one on each hand, it'll sound great, so let me play that whole final B section one more time. and then we'll be done with this. up and I'll do the full cover in other words please be honest in other words in other words I love it I love it one two three four you're okay thank you for sticking with me.
Now I'm going to make a full cover so you can see. how all these parts we've talked about fit into the whole song.
