. So the most important thing we need to invent, why is it so important? It's just because I think it's an important thing to do because, well, you want to know how to propagate humans as a species? Are we so great or is it from a pessimistic view of humanity that we are going to ruin this planet, let's have protection by colonizing other planets. Sorry, I answer more seriously. If you consider the nature of importance itself and say, how do you say something is important?

Well, the lens of history. There is a useful guide here and the further you go, the more you will be able to distinguish the things that are important over a long period of time, the truly important things versus the things that may seem important in the moment but are forgotten once that moment passes . and um, if you look at the evolution of

life

itself and say, okay, what are the major milestones? and obviously it's the advent of single-celled life, multicellular life, the differentiation of plants and animals, um, life that goes from the oceans to the land, mammals, consciousness, um.

You know, those are kind of the top six to 10 on that scale. I think that on that scale Fit Life would also become

multiplanetary

. I think it would be at least as important as life going from the oceans to land. um possibly more important. and a more difficult step, uh, because you have to go through hundreds of miles of irradiated space and you know, instead of just going from the beach, from the ocean to the beach, it's like a little bit smaller jump, so this is what motivates you. was the vision, yeah, it's just that it's kind of like you know, this is the first time in the 4 billion year history of the Earth that it's been possible, um Al, it's extremely difficult for life to become multiplanetary. now that window can be open. for a long time and I'm actually quite optimistic about the future of the Earth, so I'm not someone who thinks the Earth is doomed and doom is imminent.

In fact, I think the most likely outcome is Humanity. will last a long time by human standards, you know, at least another 10,000 years, which is the duration of human civilization to date, long enough for
