YMS: Unfriended (Part 2)

The 9-1-1 operator starts acting a little strange. - We are ok. - Even Ken? - That? - Do not hang. Shit, he's the ghost! Then the ghost re-enters his call and, unbeknownst to you, they all teleport at exactly the same time. I hope you like the post-production sound effects. Wow, this movie is so realistic. Oh damn, the webcam is on now, what terrifying images. So it turns out that what we see on the webcam is actually in Ken's room. You'd think Ken would be the one to come to this conclusion, but no, that would make some sense.

You see, this movie is more concerned with being as creepy as possible. So instead, he stands up from his chair for no damn reason and casually walks to the other end of the room. How convenient that he now decided to walk to the kitchen or wherever the fuck he was. "Oh man, this aggressive cyberbully just showed up on our call again to harass my friends." Did you know? I'm bored, I'm going to go get a sandwich. If you like this movie, then you might be arguing that he recognized his room and that's why he got up.

And that's kind of what I'd like to believe too, except he has no idea about it! Wait, Ken! - That? - Wait, why don't you tell him you can see him on camera? You thought this person is a threat, why are you being so ambiguous? Hey... Back up a little. - Because? - Just do it, buddy. This for him very clearly with minimal effort! "Hey, check it out, there's a right way and there's a scary way. Now do you want to make a scary movie or not? That's what I thought! Now get that logic out of my face!

And while you're at it, keep your mouth shut , it has to be extra quiet for the scare." Okay, so you cut to a different shot and added a sound effect. Oh. Literally everything in front of the camera teleported. , but I guess people were too scared to notice. Ken then walks over to the source of the video, crouches down and stares at the camera in silence for about 30 seconds. Then everyone's video goes off. I like the only reaction of the main character. After this it was just moving the mouse a little. Another 20 seconds pass and Blaire enters the call again to see a silent image of Ken's torso. - Yes, that's Ken!

Then another 15 seconds of silence pass. until finally: "Aaah!" Wow, Blaire was so scared she teleported away! Now I already mentioned how unrealistic and ridiculous this death scene looks with him, in theory, constantly playing with the webcam. And those CG blood spray effects don't do it. But there's one more thing that makes this scene a little funny to me and I can't even blame the movie for it. As soon as I saw this actor in the trailer for this movie, I thought, "Holy shit, is that the guy from that fake, banned Doritos commercial on YouTube that I've seen 20,000 times?" Doritos?

Doritos! Yeah! Lots of Doritos! Funny. I mean, watching this Youtube video might ruin your immersion in what is apparently supposed to be a scary scene, but it's worth it. Doritos. Now Ken is dead and Adam begins to hear noises inside his house. And once again, everything gets really quiet and really boring. This goes on for a minute and a half until something very scary happens. Shit! Now the ghost starts writing to him again and decides it's best to leave his attention on the computer in front of him. I don't know, you'd think he'd have good reason to believe someone was in his house right now, but I guess that's just me.

What do you want? I'm the garbage man! I come out, throw trash all over the ring! And then I start eating junk. So now the ghost says, "Do you remember the video?" What video?
