More Interesting Facts About,

insanely easy dollar tree crafts using vinyl...

It would be a good thing throughout the video. I'll give you my honest opinion on not only the vinyl but also some of the supplies like this. Here is one of the scrapers you can find at Dollar Tree for a

dollar

. 25 this one I wanted to try, it's pretty sturdy, good quality and I actually thought it was pretty comparable to some more expensive ones so yeah I'm going to keep scraping it off and applying it halfway and then I'm going to use the x-acto knife to cut the excess after making sure I've lined that corner very closely so it's easier for the x-acto knife to slide through that corner and cut off the excess and then I'm going to repeat the process

using

the white vinyl on the opposite side and I just overlapped it very little in the center.

easy

I'm going to take some of these eucalyptus picks that I buy at Walmart and I'm going to cut four twigs and then I'm going to tie it in the middle and secure it with some white jute twine that I have on hand and secure it with hot glue and then we'll put some hot glue towards the center on top and that way you will add texture and some greenery. I love that, I'm going to put a juice string on the back and I'm going to hot glue it and tape it to secure it and that way we can hang it, but I love this one, it's going to sound like this. a small dry erase board on one side and a magnetic folder or keychain.
I love it if you like DIY home decor. This is the channel for you. I post every week, so make sure you're subscribed and hit that notification bell. Don't miss any of the content for the next Dollar Tree Hack. I'm going to take this little dollar tree wood tray and I'm going to use one of their weeding tools and again, very good quality, I'm actually very pleasantly surprised, it actually even has a little bit on the inside of the end which you can use to remove excess vinyl. Very smart, very comparable to expensive brands, so I recommend this one.
I'm going to remove the bottom sticker and then I'm going to paint the outside of the tray just the sides and the inside sides of the tray. I'm

using

Rust-oleum chalk paint in linen white and a smaller brush, although you can use any brush you have on hand. I also make sure to paint a little overlap on the edge towards the center bottom of the tray that way any edges that may be cut a little wavy can be covered. I'm going to use my heat gun to speed up the drying process. and now we're going to take one of those shiny vinyls that I loved and I'm going to measure the inside of the tray and then I'm going to cut a piece of vinyl that fits very, very well.
It is a little larger than the bottom of the tray. I'm sure you're noticing those wrinkles in the vinyl because it's rolled while stored in the box, but all I have to do is lift one corner. and I flatten it out and those wrinkles disappear, so it works very, very well. My first impression with the glossy vinyl is a little thinner in thickness than the white one, I particularly think it matches the floral vinyl more, but it's still quite thick, it's not. like it's going to tear unless you really pull on it, so I'm just going to apply it starting on one side, removing the backing very slowly, blending it in with my fingers and the scraper and then cutting off the excess with the exact one. knife, another observation I found was that when cutting it it did not cut as smoothly as this smooth vinyl, this one wrinkled a little, it was not smooth at all.
I'm using the exact same blade I used before and it just won't cut. well, and you'll see it right here, it's just crinkling me, I don't know, maybe it was the texture of the wooden box, but overall that was my first impression to finish, I'm just going to add. one of these gold tone butterflies is a dollar tree decal. You know, I love my dollar tree stickers, so I'm going to put one here in the bottom right corner and I think this little tray is absolutely adorable. I love that shiny vinyl, yes. It took me a little while to cut it, but it's beautiful.
If you're enjoying this video so far, be sure to take a second and give me a thumbs up. A thumbs up really helps my channel grow and helps this video reach more people. Next Dollar Tree Vinyl Hack I'm going to grab one of these wooden rounds that I bought on Amazon, but Dollar Tree has them. I just haven't seen them at my Dollar Tree, so if you see them at your Dollar Tree. Make sure you grab some. I'm going to paint using Rust-oleum chalk paint in linen white. I'm only going to paint half of the wooden round but vertically, so instead of the bottom half it will be the right half. and then I'm going to speed up the drying process again using my heat gun and then we're going to bring in this beautiful vinyl, it's teal in color and it's the same consistency as white and I'm just going to Cover the left side of the wood round so I'm going to cut a piece this time.
I couldn't do it long because the vinyl is only 12 inches wide, but I was able to do it sideways like you know. ways so you know what I mean and I'm just going to cover it. I'm going to start putting it on slowly, removing the backing and smoothing it out with my hands and the dollar tree scraper. As for stickiness, they actually stick quite a bit. Well, I have an example here so you can see that this is glued to my paper. Now it's craft paper and normally things stick to it but never this hard so in my opinion the vinyl sticks really well and all the surfaces I've glued on them so far, they really stick really well so yeah, so I'm going to use the x-acto knife to cut off the excess vinyl and you see the edges when you cut it, it doesn't really cut. as close as you want, so I tried my little technique of using my sanding block to remove excess vinyl from the edge and it worked very, very well.
I did the same technique recently with Dollar Tree peel and stick wallpaper and it works just as well with Vinyl. I'm going to sand and smooth the white side just to make sure it's smooth and then clean it really, really well. Now I'm going to take this sticker, the meaning of finding beauty in the rain. I thought the colors really matched the pretty teal. color, so I'm going to start cutting out words, phrases and chunks so I can dry them on the white side as best I can because it wasn't thick enough to cover the whole white part, so I'm going to do the best I can.
I'm going to start removing it from the backing. I'm going to remove the backrest and climb up from the bottom. I have some leftover raindrops left over, so once. I'm done applying the words, I'm going to start cutting them into pieces so I can fill in a little bit of the leftover blank space, uh, and then once I've applied everything, I'm going to turn it over. and just cut off some of the excess adhesive that's overflowing from the edge and sand those edges so they're smooth all the way to the edge, then I'm going to seal everything using a minwax polycrylic and the semi-gloss for two things, one.
I want the decal to stick really well, although they stick very, very well to me, but this is because the decal has a glossy finish and the paint has a matte finish. You could really see that sticker a lot. I didn't like it, so I applied one. coat of minwax polycrylic on the semi-gloss and that added a little shine which made everything blend in a little better. I added some greenery to the left side where the vinyl is in this leftover arrangement I had from a previous DIY. I hot glued it to the center and I think it's awesome.
I love how it turned out. I love the color of the vinyl. I think it's beautiful for the next dollar tree vinyl hack. I'm going to take this little round tray to prepare rice. I bought it at Target Dollar Spot, as well as this one I made with peel and stick vinyl a few weeks ago, this time we will give it a completely different look. I love that it has these little folding legs that you can create tiers of trays, whether for decorative purposes or for serving food, I'm going to give the top two coats of oxide-oleum chalk made on white linen, once I paint is completely dry, I will start using the black vinyl, this is as thick as the white. es and I think the white and the black are actually the thickest, but in very small amounts I'm going to cut a piece that's maybe eight inches wide and then I'm going to start rounding and cutting some pieces because I'm going to give it to this small tray a cow finish.
I thought it would be really clever to give it a really unique cow look, so I'm just going to move around and cut out some shapes that I think cows would have in their fur. and then we're going to start applying them to the tray. There is no right or wrong way to apply them. I was really just going with my instincts to see where it looked best and in fact I didn't even use all of my shapes. but I used four of them and once again I'm going to cut the excess vinyl off the sides and then I'm going to sand them to make sure they're smooth all the way to the edges.
I didn't seal this one, although I think I will because if you spill something you want to make sure it's protected, but I think it's so adorable, it's definitely one of my favorites today. I love that it's so unique and I love how cute it turned out, as always, my friends. You'll have to tell me which one is your favorite. I think my favorites are the first one with the two tone and the floor one and then the last cow tray, but I love them all. I actually have positive things to say about the vinyl and all the Dollar Tree supplies, so thumbs up, just a few minor tweaks here and there, but very good quality, if you're visiting for the first time, welcome.
