day of feeding ahead of this year's World's Strongest Man contest. I've been getting a lot of questions about how the diets are going, how I'm feeling, and generally what I should eat. Get ready for the

now, starting. With meal number one, what I have to do is have six ounces of bison patties which the trifecta makes it super easy because they're already pre-cooked so what I have to do is cut them up like I said, six ounces of those and then I have five eggs with that, so I just throw the scrambled eggs in and all together on top, I'll have a piece of fruit and also five waffles, so this is a pretty nice meal to start the day and it tastes really good.

Okay, so I always look forward to starting my day with this, so we have the eggs, they look great and while they're doing, I'm going to put the waffles in the oven so they cook like this, perfect. Then we'll go, let's finish the eggs, so as you can see, I have my two breakfast companions with me, this is Braxton and this is Kellen, can you say hi, hi, so breakfast recap real quick. the same thing pretty much this is how we roll uh all the days are always very excited about this food so dad cooks it and then we enjoy it together and try to make it in one piece so let's start right at least we can say that you are getting a real breakfast experience with breath of life ah no thanks no thanks and um this is pretty par for the course they usually sit down and eat um and finish quickly and then they start coming after me to help me eat my food or to take my food so it's kind of a race of speed which I've obviously lost at this point and these guys get a little out of control, but they're a lot of fun okay guys at the beginning of this meal I think.

y we'll survive after the kid is eating and then stealing my food by climbing on me spilling milk each, so two milk spills I feel like we've done it and luckily I have most of my food, I usually try to plan make them a little more and in fact I made them a little more today, so that they wouldn't try to go after mine, but they obviously really enjoyed having the camera here on the table and uh they found some extra equipment with their appetite, so uh yeah, It's just part of normal life, although, you know, sometimes it's nice to give them a little information about a typical meal, you know, and actually, I would say they were in weird shape, to be fair, but anyway, meal number one is down and we're going to keep rocking from here, meal number two, so what we have for this meal is 12 ounces of bison burgers, we have eight ounces of sweet potatoes, one cup. of green beans and then we're going to put a cup of rice on top so let's put that together so this is meal number two and I have to say it looks delicious okay guys meal number two is low so it's actually Really good. amount of food for meal number two, we're adding a little bit more and you know, as the phases of the diet continue normally, like I've said in the past, what I'm going to do is eat at the contest, so we're going to increase it.

The big challenge this year has been the fact that we don't know the weight of the events, we don't know exactly what we're getting into, so our plan has been to maintain my body weight a little bit. a little bit lower with the knowledge that basically if we find out that I have, you know, heavier events or the weights are a little bit heavier, I can go up very easily and quickly, if necessary, because normally you already know how I. Going through the training, it's hard for me not to gain weight, so we restricted the food a little bit, you know, in the early phases of the preparation, the

here, but now we're kicking.
This because it looks like there might be a max deadlift in the final, potentially a heavy log ladder, so those kinds of things that have a little extra body weight will help, so overall I feel like things are falling into place. . meal number two is ready we have it ready uh actually just in time now I'm ready to go in and go live for the shaw elite club and that's something I do every week. I do a live question answering with all the members there so let's get ready for that now so now we're in my office and I'm getting ready to go live here at the Shaw league club so we set up the phone like this and then I ask the questions so they are bigger and I can, as you can see here, they are already starting, all the members are starting to ask questions, so let's rock and have some fun with us, what are you doing?
What to do to get the calories going depends on how long the workout lasts. I'll make different snacks and we'll schedule them, especially, for example, on a strongman training day where you know there's a lot of preparation. a lot of breakdown, a lot of time moving on to meal number three, so this is a pre-workout meal, so what I get for this is a bag of sweet potato fries that we've already cooked, so I'm actually going to pack this up and take it on the road with me, so I have the containers next, we have a shredded chicken that I have ready to go, right here we can add a little bit of duck fat. to that, so two tablespoons of duck fat, I'll throw it in here, mix it all together and then four, I guess you'll call it dessert.
Now I get a crispy rice treat to top it off, so I'm going to get That Packed, um, I actually have to go get treatment here, so I'm going to knock it out and get it right so we have the meal ready to rock and roll. I'm going to walk out the door, go get this. The treatment is done and I'll probably eat this in the parking lot right when I arrive. Meal number four, this is my post-workout meal, so what we have here is a 60 gram protein shake, as you can get it. Look, this is an unmarked container.
I am very, very excited about this preparation. I've been using my own protein so this is a whey isolate. It's delicious. We've been testing it in different versions and I can't wait to share it with you, so I've been. Using that on top of the 60 gram protein shake, I'll have a banana and then with that I'll also have a peanut butter and honey sandwich, so this is a great post-workout meal, really convenient, really easy, just mix it up . the smoothie and then sit down and have the banana and the peanut butter and honey sandwich, so let's mix this up and go down the hatch you know what I really like about both of your shirts, you know I made it, where from did they take out? those shirts at Strawstring.com shawstrength.com is where you got yours too Kellen, can you finish meal number four?
As you can see, I love it more when guys join me. They like. I know you want more. We will have to do it. Go mix more because you drink a lot, dads like to steal, so I usually plan more for each meal because I know this is going to happen, but I think now I'm going to have to mix a little more protein shake. And I'll probably eat a little more of my sandwich to finish this off, but we're still rocking out feeling good and we'll move on to meal number five next. Alright guys, last meal of the day, meal number five and this.
It's actually a substitution, I'm not mad about it, as you guys know, for cheat meals, I love pizza, I love cheesecake, it's definitely my go-to when it comes to cheat meals, so what we're doing Now with diet it is essentially manipulation. It's all contest related, so tomorrow is another training day for me, so at this point, normally what this meal would have been would have been about a pound of bison burgers, I would have had sweet potatoes, I would have had a salad and then there would have been some kind of vegetable to go with that, so we stayed pretty clean during the diet that led to the world's strongest man and now we're at the point where we can manipulate him, which leads to the days of prep training for the contest, so to speak.
I can see how my body will react to all the previous diet phases, so on non-training days for example, right now the carbs are lower and the foods are a little different. Training days are different too. Carbs are higher, you know, so there's a lot of different things going on. We just chose today as an example, but before a big training session tomorrow, this is what we are going to do, we will see how I answered you. Usually when we start adding pizza and cheesecake, I feel really good, I respond really well to that and usually my training sessions are definitely very exciting at this point, so I'm excited to eat this to Show you what we have going on.
I went with a pepperoni and meatball pizza, then just so-so, so-so, just kind of a New York cheesecake, which you obviously can't go wrong with that, and then just some coke to go with it, so I'm very excited. I'm not going to lie, you know, any little change after you've been eating, something that you know being clean for that long is good, so I'm going to take this and enjoy it. I have to say it was really nice, definitely. he didn't rush to eat the pizza through the cheesecake um and you know it's one of those things where like I was saying before uh this is part of the preparation for a strongman contest I think you know a lot of times we show these videos and I know I'm eating the way I eat and you know sometimes no explanations are given.
Oh, you know, this is a one-time thing. We're trying to manipulate the food I'm eating so that it has a positive effect on my strength and training outcome, so like I said before, we kept my diet really clean for the most part, leaving this out mainly because we wanted keep my body weight down and maintain my body composition. really good and I feel like right now I'm becoming the strongest man in this world, leaner, stronger, more athletic than I've been in quite a while and you know, I'm also going to be the strongest man in the world, you know, I'm back working. with nathan payton, we've now been together again for basically about a year or so.
I switched to it just before competing in Dubai last year, so I guess it's been about a year, maybe a little more. I feel really good about our pace that we're finding things at the moment and you know, I know, when he tells me to eat these things and you know manipulate my diet, I know that the outcome is going to be very positive, so, there's a rhyme and a reason for everything I'm doing by being the strongest man in the world. I'm happy to bring you this video to show you how things are going very positive about how the training has been going and, you know, I can't wait, I can't wait to bring the full package to the world's strongest man this year.
