I Made Famous Logos ULTRA Realistic

Apr 02, 2024
Over the years, companies have spent millions of dollars turning wonderful

logos

full of character into something fantastic, but during that same time, video games have gone from pixel-bashing plumbers to mind-blowing

realistic

experiences, so what? What if designers were more like today's game creators? I'm taking these three simple

logos

and taking their graphic settings to the extreme, starting with what exactly is the Starbucks logo? I mean, you think she's a mermaid, but she has two tails. I don't know, maybe Ariel had just left. the water for a cool sun we've been covered in nuclear waste or something, I guess that would explain the green water it's submerged in, I mean, obviously, of course, apparently it's just a mermaid well it looks like.

Mermaids are like evil mermaids, okay? They are known for singing charming songs to lure sailors to their deaths, so what I gather is that we basically just need to make a mermaid with two tails since apparently mermaids usually have two tails. Well I found this lovely lady for our base model and we are going to make all her dreams come true by cutting off her legs and replacing them with fish tails, okay we will just quickly mask her off and leave her a little bigger than the original simply because every time Starbucks redesigning their logo seems like they're getting closer and closer first let's fix this hair situation because hers is too short right now and I finally found this girl who I think has the perfect hair for what we're looking for so we can stay. her here and then I just want to part it so both hairs line up a little bit more now removing the background is pretty easy, but I'm not a barber, I don't want to spend all day cutting off all this hair. of her body, so instead I'm going to leave the shoulders alone.

More Interesting Facts About,

i made famous logos ultra realistic...

I think they look pretty good as is, maybe I'll soften this little area and then I can fade out the body of it to blend it with our original models. I'm just careful to leave these organic shadows intact so I don't have to hand paint them later and then we just carefully remove the face. Blending this hair isn't that difficult either, all you really have to do is make sure your seams fall along the places where the hair naturally has edges like that and then some shadows here around the face to help unify everything and Now I dare say you couldn't even tell they were two different women joined together, ah, damn.

It looks like the hair model was wearing a shirt and you can still see some of that down here, but maybe I can get rid of that with the healing brush or maybe not, but I bet I can copy this part of the hair with some kind of motion . that and mix it well now you might have noticed a big hole over here well according to the original logo it's supposed to be but we keep it family friendly here on YouTube so it's okay to make this more

realistic

I want to have it underwater I should probably remove some of these dots so it doesn't look like we're in outer space, but I don't really want it to be surrounded by green water like the original logo, however, I do want some kind of green here just because that color is really iconic for the Starbucks brand, so I'm thinking we opened up the hair dye, now making your hair green isn't really that hard, it's really just a simple huge saturation adjustment layer that doesn't turn the rest . of his green body, well that's a little more complicated, obviously we just want to mask that effect of his skin, which along these edges, you know, isn't that bad, but it's in these areas where you start to wonder why you're trying to match.

Don't do this at all, I mean, because you're not going to try to come here and paint every little individual hair, but I mean, I guess you could do that, but I'm not going to do it, so I'll settle for using a brush. soft gives it a subtle color fade until it looks good enough and now maybe just some extra highlights to make this really pop. Oh, and how about some green eyes to match that hair too? Now let's turn this poor popper into a queen at least. I guess that's why she wears a crown. Don't know.
Luckily I found this type of type that should work as a base, I just need to cut this bottom section off. Oh, and it seems like lightning struck twice because I found this really cool little guy. starfish ornament that should work perfectly for that Center Star it's supposed to have and just a slight tweak on those colors to make sure everything matches, but I'm afraid that's where the similarities to the original will end because I really don't want have to come here and fold these little dots to try to match the exact shape of this Wreath, so I'm going to leave it as is, but I'm going to bring in some seashells to make this Wreath feel more ocean themed.
What I really need to do is make them look golden, which surprisingly isn't too difficult first. I just need to adjust the hue, lower the brightness and one thing about gold is that it usually has these really rich dark areas so I'm going to Use a color burn layer to add a little bit more darkness here and then a blendif can remove that of the areas that were already highlighted. Another additional coat will help bring out those highlights even more and now it looks like a golden shell if I've ever seen one. I did the exact same process with another shell on this side and even added some starfish.
Painting all the shadows that these new elements would cast was the final touch I needed to make this all feel like one solid unit now let's go ahead and mask off this part of the crown so it looks like the hair is in front of it with just a touch of Shadow just below here and to match the crown I feel like its top can also be gold and now Honestly, we can move on to these tails. I think we just found a fish somewhere to use it. We want those scales to look decently big though, but if we get a really small fish like this little one, we can just scale it up and stuff. should give us the exact size we're looking for, we just put that other one right here.
I think I'll get rid of these big glitters because I find it a little too slimy and just a bit of simple highlighting to finish it off. Now in the original Starbucks logo she has her tails directly on her sides, which I think is a bit of an awkward position, so I want her tails to appear behind her, so to do that I'll add a focus blur. that gets stronger the further back you go and then I'll paint a little bit of blue on these to make it look like they're fading into the water and I can do something similar with the crown as well and I feel like if she really is underwater there's no way Her hair is so perfect, so I'll borrow a couple of other ladies, add a little more hair behind her as if it's flowing up and down in the water and after some minor lighting adjustments, our beautiful Starbucks The logo is finished believe it or not Jurassic Park was the first movie I saw in theaters and it was literally just being born so I want to make sure I do justice to this iconic logo so I guess I'll start with the Main Circle first .
It looks like the actual logo isn't even actually a perfect circle, but mine will just be duplicating it and shrinking it. Use it as a mask. Okay, we have our ring. I think it would look great if it was

made

of stone by stretching it all the way down and lightening it a little then a little shadow to add some depth we can add that smaller ring on the outside with a touch of highlight now for the black where it's supposed which is this title. I would like it to be

made

of wood, as if we were sticking to the theme of stone and Woodgate in the film.
I just need to adjust it a little bit to make it more of a rectangular shape, so I'll go in here. and add a sharp shadow just below to add a sense of depth and the same with a highlight too. I can't forget these little bits on the edges. I feel like this particular board is too soft so I'm going to bring in a second wooden board and use it just for the texture and now for the text, what I like to do is make it look like these letters were hand carved into the wood and I found this super cool sign that just A look I'm going to look for, I just need to get rid of these letters first and then I can place them here as a texture for the letters, just expand them to fill everything and then darken them so we can read.
Now to make this look 3D, adding a small bevel on the edge does a pretty good job and to get even more depth an inner shadow will make it look like these carvings are deep in this wood, you just need a little touch up here around the edges. and lastly, just some subtle lighting on this text to help bring out that texture, now unlike the original logo where the dinosaur bones appear to be possessed and are just moving through a miniature jungle. My dinosaur will be found exactly where it belongs. Dirt is a bit cute to me, although I think I'll call him Carl, let's just mold Carl to roughly line up with the original logo, just bend his spine like this, now the main problem is that Carl's arms just don't . pretty aligned with the original and I hope you don't mind if I just cut them up and bring them here and unless you're Dr.
Grant, I really don't think anyone will notice and I want to obscure them. him to help it stand out from the ground as well as to better match the original silhouette logo and we can start giving it a nice drop shadow along with a nice slide over the bones and now one thing that is a little annoying is that All of these little bones tend to come together visually, but if we add some highlights to some of these larger features, it helps break things up so you can focus on these different parts separately. You know, I actually feel like the earth is too.
Soft right now, but adding some small rocks should give this space a really nice detail. We can even add some cracks here to get a little more sand. I went around and masked parts of the Ring to make it look like these rocks were in front of it which increases the sense of depth and then a nice shadow on the floor and along the inside wall helps tie them together now if we assume these bones were found in the jungle, there has to be something growing here, so we'll just select all the green parts and then we can paint the areas where we don't want any of this vegetation to appear and speaking of plants, I want to keep the same idea of using some kind of plant life down here. on the bottom like the original logo, but my plants are going to be a little bigger.
This looks really cool now, but I can't help but think it feels too clean, so how about we darken the ring and then add? In some cracks on this stone, you can also cut away some of this ring to make it look like these pieces have fallen off, one more, a big one down here, and then a highlight on all of this should really help those broken edges stand out. and since this is a jungle maybe we can even bring some vines here that grow on the Rock and then a little one here and a little green one to top it all off.
I think a touch of moss is the ultimate. this stone needs to complete its aged and weathered look and now for one last touch of horror a giant claw mark runs through this sign and with that our Jurassic Park logo is complete before we get to the last logo if you missed my last video which I started. an absolutely crazy Discord for designers called design island, you can earn coins through design battles by playing custom island games, like growing a farm or fishing or even just chatting, coins can be used to purchase portfolio reviews, courses free designs and even lottery tickets for gift card software. and iPads is completely free so come and join me and the thousands of people already there and last but not least we have Tesla the brand of choice if you want to drive your car off road this It is without a doubt the simplest logo. on set and I have an equally simple idea for it.
Tesla makes cars, so let's make this look like a car, obviously I'm not going to shape it like a sedan, but the idea is just to mimic the materials of a car. so I guess these two pieces will just be car panels and I'm going to fill this empty space with chrome and to really make it feel like a car, a headline and I mean that's basically it now all I need to do is something painting really just rounds out the shapes now normally these seams between the panels of the car tend to be quite dark so if we want a thin dark edge right between here, well nowe're going to paint it by hand but we can simply select the base logo and follow that selection a few pixels and then we can paint perfectly straight black lines and using that same technique I can also make these nice reflections around the edges and then just fade them along of the edges to form a nice gradient and then I like it. a hard seam, more of a curve, right on the center panel here, gives it a touch of blur, fades at the ends and just a touch of yellow here on these highlights to help them pop now and start making this look like a car. paint, we need a big glow right on the side here and then fade it out like this, now put some bounce light around the edges here because the more highlights we have, the brighter this thing is going to look and it wouldn't be a high end car paint. range without some metal flakes.
I actually don't know if Tesla uses metal flake in the paint on his car, but I think it looks cool so here we are and a little bit of light here just to make things better and that part is. We're almost done, showing how realistic Chrome is. It's actually much simpler than you think. It's really just layering, take this rectangle for example, if we start with a dark background and a light stripe right on top, it's already starting to look like it's made of metal, but if you add some lighting from bounce down here, maybe a transition layer and even a secondary highlight. at the top you start to get something that looks pretty convincing when you zoom out, which is the exact same steps I did to get this here, then I can go in and add some gradients to this to create some different transitions.
Now I probably could spend a lot of time trying to make a custom headlight for this, but I think it would end up being wide and solid anyway, especially if the light is on, so instead I'll just take the Lazy Man's output and add a little bit of blue with the light flash for a little cool factor, it's a finishing touch. I'd like to mention the fact that Tesla makes electric cars by adding this really cool little electrical discharge that comes out of the core and envelops the entire structure and then A couple of final tweaks, this is our redesigned logo for Tesla, which honestly ended up looking like Iron Man , but subscribe so Carl doesn't have to continue crying himself to sleep every night.
