SPRAYED WAY TOO MUCH NITROUS FOR THE NEW C8! *(SS717 TWIN TURBO C8 UPDATE)*

Mar 29, 2024
so we're going to use the

nitrous

express Maximizer 5-dan did an amazing job making such a beautiful setup that's just being simulated for now. We just finished assembling the Lingenfelter box. We went ahead and rewrapped the entire harness for the Lingenfelter. Right now I'm just setting the RPM feel. Let's hammer this home. He is putting the solenoids on the board. Let's mount the bracket on the other side. All coils are plugged in. Everything is done. We put in new plugs. We're finishing up setting up the rest of the Lingenfelter box, that's it, it's pretty cool, like some solenoids.

Good enough our attitude around here is good enough, maybe dolls behind the solenoids, please get out, come on, ask the super question. I know you. I want to come let's have the hanger coming out now let's make a pretty stupid mountain SlideShare want it looks like a kindergartner could have done a better job dan thinks it's all good I already have the cable I was commenting on your What a beautiful bill job, I have DJ you know I asked TJ CJ we do it over the Mountainsoul engine sir I don't know why I hear myself okay guys full

nitrous

kit on this 2020 c8 we did double bottle holders in the back with express nitrous . as you can see it's a wet shot so it's fuel and nitrous it's a plate kit with a little bleed on we'll start with about a hundred horsepower let's see what it does let me know what you guys think about the install.

We also have our exhaust system complete with our high flow cats and we also just installed some Mickey Thompson drag radials so after this hits the dyno we'll see how it snags on the street, what's so bad ? We took a nitrous car to the track to see a few weeks ago but I want to share with you all of our experience and what happened before the track as well as on the track so this was the red c8 I'm sure yes. We've all seen some videos, it has our full cat rear exhaust system with our high flow cats, we added a nitrous express system so the car on the engine made about four, they made over 460 regulation horsepower with again just our exhaust system the high flow cats we added a full nitrous express wet shot with a plate so obviously it has fuel and nitrous solenoid.

Here's our little plate kit and also a little hanger and we decided the customer wants it to look really cool so we made double billet bottle holders on the rear again on the dyno I was building, I think 460 on the engine, we started at a hundred strokes, I think it gave about 580 to the tires and we ended up generating over 600 rural horsepower in over six. on rear wheel torque and to be honest we feel the transmission starting to slip in the polo head. The nitrous is very aggressive so right at the moment of hit, it's all the torque as soon as you press the right button, so we felt it slipped a little bit again, the dyno numbers were good, so you know , we thought on the track it would be a 10 second car if everything went as planned, so we took it to the track, it was man, it was like a hundred degree day.

I'm not really sure what the DA was, but it was brutal here in Houston, it wasn't good, the humidity was bad, we did the Mickey Thompson drag radial for traction, which to be honest, this thing hooks up pretty well on the street and we didn't have it. It's time to test the nitrous on the street, we literally had the car on the dyno and the track guys were like, "Hey, there's a rented track, you know, if you want to come here, come on, so we load up and We go out first." I ran it on the engine it was 11 20 at 121 miles an hour again it was so hot outside we probably could have done better that time but I wanted to turn on the nitrous and see what it was going to do well yeah first time we went through the nitrous we had. a 150 again we knew the transmission slipped on the dyno.
I knew it was going to be a little worse on the track or street due to more loading, but again I just wanted to do it for data purposes and see what happens. to execute it well, so that on the first pass we made it still gained a sixty foot, but in the higher gears the transmission would start to slip and when the transmission starts to slip, the computer sees that it takes time to try to save the transmission . so the first pass we did, I think it was 1090 at 125 miles an hour, maybe 126 we came back, we let it cool just for a moment.
I decided to lower the jet to try to keep the transmission a little happier. and he actually liked it a little bit more, it still wasn't great, but it was 1080 to 126, that being said, it was with the hunter shot, it was 1080 to 126, but again guys, the transmission and this, you know, were very smooth coming out of the gate no nitrous in first gear second gear in the nitrous comes in as soon as the nitrous comes in you can see the transmission starting to slip try to disengage the timing to try to save the transmission a Try to save the clutch packs if it does not work.
I mean this car with the horsepower it makes. I mean, it's a solid, low-medium 12th car all day, but overall it was a good day, the car ran very well. It worked great, we had to drive it back home afterwards. There are a few things I'm going to do with the nitrous to see if we can get it to work a little differently to try to make the transmission a little happier, but we've had a customer car for a couple of weeks. Now I want to give it back to you. Let him drive it and enjoy it.
After that, he will bring it to us. We'll make some changes to the nitrous. We will probably upgrade the clutch packs. in the transmission and take it out again and see what we can do with it, the 60 feet was about 1/6 consistent all day long, it's a taller tire so I think if we put an 18 on it I think we can go like a 1:5 of 60 feet which will give us at least another 10 to 10 and a half to the back. Great things. I want to show you all with the nitrous. This thing is made so that a customer can jump. in the car you drive around town if someone pulls up next to you you will be ready to go so we have two bottles in the back that are not there right now we are getting ready to fill them for the customer who has built in bottle warmers so like openers, so when the customer is in the car driving around town, they literally have their own switch panel here for you to turn on the nitrous and they can know that they can be driving around town with the heater on there. controlled to turn off at a certain temperature and turn on at a certain temperature to prevent the bottle from getting too hot or too cold and then we have our little purge button here and then also our bottle openers so it's better than driving around the city.
It pulls up next to you, all you have to do is crank up the nitrous and hit the gas and you have extra horsepower with the nitrous in the car, okay guys I'm just kidding with all the talk about the transmission. I feel like an improved app will do that. Be a little more forgiving with the transmission, it will be more of a linear curve compared to the nitrous coming in so hard that the initial torque when it comes in won't be as violent, so hopefully the numbers will go up a little more with horsepower and torque with an improved application, so obviously this is one of the cars we finished a couple of weeks ago with the nitrous kit.
Many of you are asking for an

update

on the speeds of Mike's car on the street, he is getting our

twin

turbo

system and Guys you have to remember that we are not just mounting two

turbo

s and a wastegate or two wastegates and two valves of bleed and here they have some cool sounds and whatnot, we are designing a kit to try to be the most efficient anywhere from 700 horsepower rural to 2,000 to 2,500 horsepower at the rear wheels, just by changing the turbos , the engine, the fuel system, things like that, and when you start designing a kit like that, there are other things to think about when it comes to heat, you have oil lines, cold lines, water lines, it's not so simple as just bolt on the turbos and build some stuff and ship it later, so with that being said the kid is almost done, we have final assembly right now.
So I'm sure you'll all see a getting started video very soon, so people are asking people instead of saying in other videos that we've done that our tech Dan is a little rude, so what would you say about that? ? He's usually the quietest guy in the store sometimes, but people have been asking for more vlog-style videos, so we're trying to share more of what we do in and out of the store. We do this for a living, yes, but we like to have fun. so in all honesty guys he's just having fun and joking with you whether it's you or you behind the camera who he can't see right now.
The other big thing on these cars, guys, is obviously the tuning that everyone is talking about on the internet. that knows things about GM that everyone knows, like the 1901, it took over eight months to get to the original ECM. That said, everyone says it's going to be impossible to get into this, so we're looking at several different options to try with this car. here and obviously with just the nitrous the tuning isn't that crazy but it would be a big help if you could get into the ECM to help with those timing areas and things like that, when the transmissions slip we're also working on a piggyback system that Hopefully we'll keep the stock ECM intact, like the

twin

turbo car we have, we'll test it to see if we can keep everything happy, keep all the stock sensors happy while controlling what we want to control so we can actually give someone back a real car that has boost and that I can drive around the city and I have control of the engine lights, not diet, the traffic lights do not have to reduce the engine power, things that you know, we are going to try to find a solution, not just a little.
A temporary thing is to let it run on a dyno and say okay, it made that

much

horsepower. You know, we're actually going to make something that works for the end user to take the car back to California, New York, overseas, just like we do every day. get in it, drive it and really enjoy the car, so that's the goal again. It may take longer to do it, but we are in the process of doing it, guys, you have to bear with us, we are doing everything we can, as quickly as possible. We can, but it will be worth it when it works.
