Apr 05, 2024
The vast majority of behavioral problems in the classroom involve minor breaches of discipline. These incidents frequently originate in the classroom situation itself under the control of the teacher. Disciplinary problems in the classroom are symptoms of underlying weaknesses in the total learning situation. . Grimes' math teacher is displeased with his ninth grade class's progress in math. You see the low grades you got on your weekly math test. More than half of you failed. Most of those who passed simply passed. Nobody got 100%. This is the poorest class. I've had it for a long time that most of you have no foundation now problems with your attitude you don't pay enough attention in class you don't do enough work outside of class you don't know what the word study is it means you don't have the slightest idea don't you Do you realize that mathematics is an important subject?

school

s that call it too. I have a photo that shows what it originally looked like. They'll share it on the screen and then we'll show it to them outside later. vacant

practically since the 1960's and they changed the façade they changed the exterior hoping to reuse it for a new buyer unfortunately it never happened the building fell into disrepair it is very run down very rotten and ready to be torn down on the next line So We wanted to get here and see it before that happens.

More Interesting Facts About,

abandoned school telephone graveyard closed since the 1950 s...

I don't know the opening date. You will be able to tell from what you see in the video. I speculate that it is from the late 1800's/early 1900's, but I could be wrong, but it is virtually intact. Only that they are very deteriorated, some rooms are almost unrecognizable. This is a nice main staircase. This is a class. From here you could almost see the blackboard in the background, which is no longer there, but it is in a very residential area, so we have to go inside. We don't attract too much attention so come with us as we look at it so we have to be careful see the old plaster in the lab removing the hardwood floors.

I think the building has three floors, I'm not sure. How many of them will be accessible? It's like there was a blackboard here at one point and there are some really impressive stairs here to see the old colors on the old light switches, so it's quite nice, you'll probably notice there are some holes in the floor now. Look here, we still have a whiteboard, so it really kind of looks like someone is using this for a different reason. It looks like it may have been used to store just some random items in here. Oh, these are small closets that one is

closed

, but right? like the blackboards, nice wood underneath, a Nova bookcase or if you repurpose it, it's like storage or something that's hard to say, okay, so I'll try to go upstairs.

Hopefully these Holness stairs are very nice stairs, although for a school it is like beautiful wood. although it's really beautiful for the school, okay, maybe it's not three floors, maybe it's two and a half, let's see what's up here, very high ceilings and a hole in the floor, this is a more intact classroom with the blackboards and these doors that we see there. emergency stairs in case of fire metal stairs that go down but they are all rotten I heard someone talk so I don't think these shelves are original because they are covering the blackboards although they were put in some time ago for some type of storage.
I don't know, these are like little components or something like connectors, but you're looking at classrooms that were last used in the late 1960s. These would have been full windows here to see the shadow up there. 74 These are thirsty, drugs, that music, yeah, that's the same, yeah, so the cheese classrooms have closets that are pretty clean, nothing here, but as I go towards a miniature door that goes nowhere On the other hand, it's a very small closet and these things could be for him, I guess it means for him. Heat the air ducts so far so good like I said this is and his busy house in residential areas is around and it was not an easy way to get in here without being seen so we arrived early in the morning it's cold you see my breath It's coming out, but it's cool to see this as old school.
I was grateful that the old schoolhouse was stolen because I thought maybe they would have gutted the rooms and reused it for something else, but other than the bookshelves, it is completely original and won't be here much. Longer, as always, is documented through this video. I really love this wood, so you can see some of the ducting there where it was today, how I came down from the attic and provided heat or ventilation. Look at all the phones there, where is that? really big room, well maybe the same size as the others, but it seems bigger.
I can see it now. You may be watching this video in this building. Oh, it's not so bad. You know the floors are intact, the ceilings aren't leaking, but what? The problem is the foundation, if we can, and the relief will show you the back of the building. There is approximately a 10 foot section of foundation that is completely gone, so the building is on the verge of collapsing under its own weight. This is a really nice room. They left the blackboards with the wood surrounding them, the wooden bottom. I don't know if that's cherry, maybe oak is good for woods, yes there are some works of art, take it, come sit on a rocket.
Oh, come on in, all the phones are there, let's see if I can get a look up, your cellar is empty. It's supposed to be the room where you get punished. I know if they would use this for their very small room, but it has a big windowsill in there. This is beautiful, although you don't see that in schools. today and almost all the lights are these string lights and I guess blue was then possibly the original color was the last color a strange little room but it sure served a purpose I don't know what it was for you could see how it looked removed the edge. over here so here they are in the basement there's a lot of rubble down here that's the whole phone house and it must be pretty old thanks guys see they built stands there to help hold up the beam there's even more phones it's weird with all these random phones there are some old boxes there must be hundreds of phones in this building the first signs of bathrooms here not sure if it is original in its location or not seen it's like the phones came out of their graves so strange they are all of these are heavy too like a federal radio and

telephone

corporation, okay, this is not a

telephone

graveyard

, it's all bits and pieces, two phones, that's crazy like a

graveyard

, look, we found something like a toy, so I'm going to sing like a pig, a cat, who is that spider? -man my spidey sense was tingling, you see I mentioned the bad foundation before, look at this completely exposed, broken, now they have some beams here trying to hold this back up on the building, they even cut down a tree and glued it there. a few more phones, that's heavy, a few more pieces of phones, I don't think we found any Christmas items.
It's very strange how many phones there are here, it's like frozen and you're on deck, boy, you're on the cable, if anyone knows the dates of these phones. comment below let me know, it's funny, the whole class can stay home for 45 minutes this afternoon and you'll see how fun it is, remember the whole class has to report back here at 4 o'clock where we were good, let's go to the paper. I have to do I have soccer practice he can go fly a kite I have a piano so here is a look at the exterior of the building from the front, as we could see in the previous image it has a different facade where there is a brick structure and They added slip sometime after school closed, but just a fun look.
It's not a big school, but it has that character and I'm glad I get to see it and share it with you, and I guess this is the main entrance. Some steps here go past the front door with the condemned sign and it's a little rumor before and I'm sure they used it for any ideas, feel free to let me know guys I hope you enjoyed this. old abandoned school pretty neat here inside glad we had to check it out before it's gone sorry I'm working on it but again the opening date you guys could maybe tell me based on how it worked out with the architecture here , but I do not know. closed in the late 50's early 60's it's been like this ever since except someone maybe using it for storage with some random items in here lots of phones which is very strange but either way I'm glad having been able to check it out and it's very It's cold here, except for the breath, but it was worth coming to see for ourselves and on the way I found out that it was actually on the news, but they were going to demolish this in the spring costume , is structurally incorrect, so, like you.
I'll see or I already saw that the foundation is in pretty bad shape, but give it to Mike and I'll tell you eight things that are pretty well found and empty. It's nice to see the boards and they weren't bad. I like that the woodworking is nice here. but it's good to see it before it goes away yeah there are a couple of cool features as you mentioned the joinery of the whiteboards or you know the original which is rare to see modern schools have the dry erase boards , I think, but he took a lot of pictures for his channel, good day for decay, just come down below too, if you enjoyed this adventure today, give it a like and if you did on my channel, I would like to see more videos like this, just hit the subscribe button, hit the notification bell and lastly, leave a comment below telling us what your favorite feature of this building is or any ideas or information you would like to share.
