Most Powerful Explosion Humanity Has Ever Seen Revealed a New Enigma

Apr 28, 2024
You may remember the story of the brightest ship of all time, an incredibly bright gamma

explosion

that was detected in October 2022 and represented an event that potentially occurs once

ever

y 10,000 years, an event so bright and so

powerful

that not only did it basically blind to a lot of satellites and produced some of the highest gaming observations we have

ever

seen

, they are basically 50 to 70 times more

powerful

than anything else before, but this event also lasted much longer, a typical grb only lasts one or two seconds, possibly even less. Only a few have been detected to last a few seconds, but this one lasted approximately 7 minutes and, more importantly, was even detectable hours after the initial

explosion

and because this is a grb or game explosion from the nature, at some point began to produce more. observations of invisible light, , the strangest one was the fact that it also affected planet Earth this event was so powerful that it actually changed the ionosphere by increasing atmospheric ionization quite dramatically and not only changed the amounts of ozone but also triggered several chemical reactions which we don't really understand very well, so this event was definitely quite profound and quite powerful.

One of the weirdest and strangest cosmological events we've ever

seen

, not like in a year or a decade, this is literally as powerful as it gets and I'm actually surprised more outlets aren't discussing this as it's kind of mind-blowing and well hello. Wonderful person, this is Anton, today we are going to discuss once again the recent updates and by the way, the previous updates and the previous discoveries can be discovered in several videos in the description below, but today we will focus on one of the new observations. using James web and maybe a potential solution, but also I guess two more mysteries, so yeah, the event itself is getting stranger and stranger and I'm sure we'll find out even more about this in the coming years, but I guess One question you might be asking or I guess I was wondering myself is why it took me so long to even give these initial explanations.

It's been al

most

2 years or I guess about a year and a half when I did this. video and so what exactly took so long to provide these relatively simple explanations? Well, once again, it was the power of this incredible explosion. This GRB was so ridiculously bright that it basically shined everything around it, making anything in the vicinity invisible to us or as the researchers explain it, it was like looking into the headlights of an oncoming car and you just don't see the car in sight. Absolutely, you don't even see anything around you, you just see the headlights, so even six months later everything here was basically just this bright spot in the middle here is, by the way, how it compares to some of the very powerful explosions before, so because of the brightness of this event it was impossible to detect anything else and even the initial James network observations were too bright and oversaturated so there was simply no good data, scientists had to wait a while for this went down and basically all of this became visible and months later, I think more than six months later, they started getting some useful data. data and specifically began to observe signs of the supernova that

most

likely produced all of this and initially scientists assumed that this would be the most powerful supernova that we have ever seen potentially coming from some type of extremely massive star that rotates very quickly and that basically from some way it exploded producing an enormous amount of energy, possibly hundreds or even thousands of times more powerful than a typical supernova, but these initial observations of the goose net that you can see here were either very surprising or not surprising at all, as in.
most powerful explosion humanity has ever seen revealed a new enigma
It looked like a typical nondescript supernova remnant, nothing unusual, nothing super powerful, it literally looked like every other supernova remnant we've ever seen, like nothing unusual had happened here and no unusual stars exploded, but they were absolutely sure that this one It was actually the event that produced the most powerful grb, so something here didn't add up or maybe it was just that the explanation was not clear at first because what we observed was not the explosion in this case but the Jets emitted and that is actually true for all us grbs who aren't Seeing the explosion we're basically looking directly at the Jets or I guess to help you visualize this we're looking at something like this now this is just a jet from a neutron star but the general idea It is very similar, but in this case it must have been the jets that were very different instead of being a little more spread out like in most grbs here, they could have been concentrated and extremely narrow and it is really that narrowness that is which potentially resulted in an extremely thin, very, very bright jet. that was then visible from billions of light years away and lasted a long time.
most powerful explosion humanity has ever seen revealed a new enigma
Obviously now no one has any idea why these Jets were so much narrower than usual and why they seem to be so much more powerful, lasted so much longer and produced so much more power than a normal drb, but whatever the answer, this was definitely a Super Lucky event, an event that resulted in a very, very bright grb, but in an absolutely normal Supernova, not extra powerful, not extra large, just regular and completely indistinguishable from anything. Otherwise, it was the Jets that were special and that means that the mechanism that produced them was also most likely different and here the explanation that okay, maybe it was actually an extremely fast spinning star that resulted in a specific shape and structure of these Jets.
If the star was spinning rapidly, would the axis spin basically be towards us in theory when the explosion occurred or essentially when the core of the star collapses into a black hole, would it produce these powerful jets that are launched at a speed close to the speed of light with the spin itself and the potentially magnetic field around the star producing an extremely narrow jet, whereas a star that is not spinning as fast and perhaps does not have as much magnetic field would produce jets that are a little more spread out, although here such Maybe some of the answers are also in the galaxy itself, in this case this galaxy seems to have much less metallicity compared to a typical galaxy where we find grbs, so the host galaxy could eventually provide us with additional answers since this galaxy seems to have signs of star formation, it could result in a production of different types of stars that we generally do not find in much older galaxies, although at the moment there is no direct answer, but as I mentioned, there is an additional mystery: the mystery regarding what this The particular supernova did not occur because of the power of this explosion and because it was a rapidly spinning magnetic star, the researchers were absolutely certain that they were finally going to answer the question of where many different heavy elements probably came from. things like gold, platinum and so on, we now know that many of them come from a kilonova or essentially the collision of two neutron stars, but unfortunately these events cannot explain everything, not enough have been detected so far to explain much. part of everything that surrounds us. us or essentially as many heavy elements and, more importantly, to produce this it takes approximately a few billion years to produce a binary system with neutron stars that are about to collide.
This is a really slow process, but we have actually detected different heavy elements in an extremely early universe, so some of the things must have formed in a different way and it was expected to be through events involving massive rotating stars extremely similar to what was just observed in October 2022, a more detailed analysis and a very complete analysis. Using James Web and using the spectroscopy method, the researchers found no heavy elements, no gold, no platinum, nothing heavier than iron and that in itself is a bit mysterious, it means that maybe there is another process that We are not familiar with the fact that it produces heavier things and, therefore, although about half of all the gold and many heavy elements on planet Earth were probably formed during the NOA kilon when neutron stars collide, we do not know where the other half came;
In other words, this explosion was not what it is. known as our process, you can actually learn a little more about this in one of the recent videos that talks about another exciting discovery. The video should be in the description below, but in terms of this detection, it definitely refutes this hypothesis and suggests that even spinning stellar supernovae are not capable of producing elements heavier than iron. This is actually one of the first images captured by me of this beautiful event, but it will definitely be many years before we have all the answers and I am sure there will be more. studies that discover additional things that could be even more surprising, but until those future discoveries watch all the previous videos about this in some of the videos in the description thanks for watching, subscribe, come back tomorrow to learn something more, support it on patreon by joining Membership to the channel or buying the wonderful person t-shirt that you can find in the description stay wonderful, see you tomorrow and as always goodbye to for
