Apr 10, 2024
Hello friends and welcome back to my channel. My name is Tiffany and I am very happy to have you join me in today's video. I had to have a little mental moment to prepare for this video because today we're going to be. Tackling my

pantry

, guys, I made a video a year ago organizing the

pantry

and it was great and we still use probably 75 percent of the organization that I set up to begin with, however, there are seven of us who live in this house, seven of us who we use the pantry we get used to it all day, things just get pushed around in some places and it definitely needs some help.

Also, at that time we were buying a lot of new things, beds, furniture and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. in the pantry, however, for the last four weeks I've been collecting items to redo the pantry and also bought a few things for Christmas, so I'm excited to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing and a little more my style. so I'm prepared for this for the next two days. It's Saturday morning when I start. I already warned my family that this is going to be a tornado zone and not to come here.

More Interesting Facts About,

pantry makeover declutter and organize with me pantry restock charlotte grove farmhouse...

I watched several episodes of the edit at home yesterday to get myself, you know, ready to go. I'm not looking to do that like I'm not looking for Rainbow to

organize

anything. I think it's beautiful, it's just not really manageable for me and my stress level, um, however, I'm definitely looking to edit the space and that just means getting rid of things I'm not using now that we've been in the house for the year. . I know what I really use, what I don't use, what can go in the basement, you know. um, you know, using from time to time, like my crock pots and serving, using that kind of stuff and then things that I can actually donate, that's my plan.

We're also planning a neighborhood garage sale in the spring, so I'm getting started. to collect items for that, so I just want to have items in there that we use to make room for the large amount of food that needs to be there for all of our families, so without further ado, let's go ahead and get started. I'm going to show you what I bought and what I have to use for our organization today. Okay, so I'll start on this side of the table. I'll try to keep my camera turned so you can see. without the light behind it, but I bought these two larger baskets here from Target, these are from a bright room, they are very large and when you look at them side by side in this basket that I bought at Walmart, you might be thinking, wow, They look like the same, but they are not, they are a little bigger, they are longer and my plan is to use them for larger items.

I also bought this, what's this called, a spice rack from Walmart? I mean it was somewhere in the five dollar range and my plan is to use this for smaller things in the pantry that just need some height those two baskets were 22 each and then this basket here is also from a bright room and this one was 18. I liked how small it was this is great for snacks and things like that and it will be spread out, you know, and it will be easy for the kids to reach. Now these baskets here are actually from Walmart, as I mentioned, they're from The Better Homes and Gardens line.
They come in four and were $39 for all four, so it's less than ten dollars per container, which I think is great. They come folded so they fold and are the size of a cube, so if you have one of those cube

rs these will fit. there, so I've always been an anti-cube organizer, you know, I don't like that look, but now that I know that they have things like this that are really nice, they're really pretty and they look good, it definitely elevates the look. I definitely think these are great value for money and are really good quality, so like I said, four of them come in a pack for forty bucks, definitely worth it.
I've already shown them in my video so I bought them for Christmas, but these are beautiful glass containers, they come from Amazon and I have four of these that are a little bit smaller and then I have three of these that are a little bit bigger, so that's what I'm going to use. The other two of those four are also in the pantry and then I bought these stackable containers from Target. These are also a bright room and I liked the size and the fact that they were so easy to get into, you know. They're great for snacks and bags of chips and stuff and at the last minute I grabbed another turntable from TJ Maxx 7.99.
I like to use them. I already have one in the pantry and I also have one in my refrigerator and I just think they're really great for saving space so that's what I have to use for this Pantry update. I'm excited about these items in addition to all the items I already have in my pantry and let me show you what they currently look like. Okay my friends it's time to take a look inside this horrible Pantry, oh my goodness as you can see I had definitely started a system before but it had fallen by the wayside and was overflowing and it was time to organize it.
It's also where I originally kept my calendars when I filmed this part. I was talking about her, but I feel like I've talked enough and decided to cut that out and do the voiceover, so now it's time to do the part. What I feared most was taking everything out of the pantry. This is a very misleading pantry. It looks small when you're here, but it's actually very big and the shelves are incredibly deep, so I started with a bunch of stuff. Doing it myself, I did the first two shelves, I think the floor, and then maybe the first one or two shelves and then I ended up going in and grabbing Danny to help me remove everything else that I didn't film because I hadn't .
I warned him beforehand, so he was dressed in his work clothes, so he came out and helped me get the rest, but it's surprising how much stuff can accumulate in a space like this, it's basically like a closet. There were so many things and it wasn't like you knew they weren't things we could use. There were definitely some overdue items that needed to be worked on and removed, but they were really just boxes and just needed better organizations, so I'm going to take everything out and then let's go through it. We will keep some things. We'll leave some things in the basement.
We'll get rid of some things. We will get rid of a lot of volume. things and definitely get rid of everything that has expired and we will organize it better. I also wanted to brighten everything up here a bit. Most of the items I had to organize here before are black, which is what I found at the Dollar Tree after Christmas last year they were fifty percent off, so they were 50 cents. I'm not getting rid of them. I'm definitely going to use them, though, I'm hoping to have some lighter colors here in the pantry to lighten it up a bit.
I also want to mention that I think this will be addressed. I have an automatic light in my pantry, so every time I walk in, the light turns on by itself and then turns off for you to see. It turns on and off repeatedly and you're not going crazy, it's just my light in there, which is automatic. I love that foreign automatic light, it took forever but everything for the most part finally came out of the pantry. I left my position. mixer because it's heavy and that's where I plan to keep it. I also left most of the alcohol on top because we're going to organize it, but here's a look at all of my pantry items that are scattered around my kitchen.
I even had some here on my couch table and all over the floor, so tons and tons of stuff coming out of the pantry was everywhere and it was a little overwhelming, but there was no turning back now, so I'll take a second here. to clean the countertops that I'm using, sorry, the shelves, I'm using a damp microfiber cloth to get them nice and clean and then we're going to go ahead and start organizing the outside, so one of the things I wanted to do first was get an idea where I wanted the clear baskets and containers to go from.
I had a rough idea in my head of where things were going to go and nothing came of it. I ended up moving things around a ton. I ended up having more containers than I thought, I found a bunch that I had previously purchased that were sitting in the back of the pantry waiting to be used, so I was really excited because I had a lot of things that I needed to put away. but that allowed me to be a little more open to where things were going to go. I wanted these water hyacinth baskets so I could put things in them that I didn't necessarily need to see and then I also had the home edit boxes that would allow me to see what's inside.
I really like them. I think they look very clean and this space already feels bigger and more open by having those big containers on top and lighter colors, it feels much better, so I'm just going to take the rest of them and organize them and have a rough idea of where things are going to go and then we'll start filling them overseas, so the first space I decided to work on was the upper one. up here, so we have a pretty good bar selection, however, I don't have an actual bar, so all of these items stay here in our pantry.
I keep them up, obviously, but I wanted them to be put away because they can look really messy and it has a lot of color and I don't know, it just looks really messy in here, so I'm using those two big water hyacinth baskets that I bought from the line. Bright Target rooms and they were perfect. I was able to fit all my items into these two baskets now that they are full, so I definitely can't put anything else in there, but I got rid of the half-opened wine bottles, anything that was expired. I had a ginger beer that was expired and So that also freed up some space and I got rid of all the models that had only a small quantity.
I poured them into other bottles or just got rid of them, so I definitely freed up a lot of space and made it look a lot nicer and a little more organized here. You'll also see behind those two containers. I have the large spatulas that go with my grill. We keep them up there. Obviously we don't need them at this time. in the winter, so they're kind of hidden in the back. I also put down my two cookie jars, I haven't used them in a while and was contemplating whether to get rid of them or not, however I love the B1.
That's from my sweet friend Ann, it was a gift before I left Vegas and the other one I just wasn't sure what I'm going to do with it, but I'll probably give it away. I removed those too. plastic trays I'm going to put those with our camping gear in this black container here are all my cake decorating supplies and then I also brought my instant pot this is the only other item that I really use a lot and I ended up moving those two big containers, the green one in the back, it has all the Blackstone items and then I have some other plastic utensils to put in here and then move over to the other side to these smaller Hyacinth water containers from Walmart. adding some other items so in this one here I'm placing styrofoam coffee cups that we use when we have people over on top of some popcorn containers as well as our little snack containers that we use during breaks and in the summer and some other dishes and paper paper. towels, our paper napkins that I had left over from Halloween and Christmas, just a few items that you know we don't use regularly but need when we host, so by pasting those items here I didn't need to see them, but I wanted to keep them, so this is a perfect place to put them up high where I don't need them regularly, but at least they were stored away.
Now we're going to go into a sort of random array that I just started on. One end of my island and I went down, so the first thing I grabbed here is our cereal containers. I had some that were half eaten. I had some that I had bought before and that the kids wouldn't eat, so I got rid of them. those and I'm filling in the others, they're not completely full but that's okay this one ends up filling up completely but on this day I'm just ordering what I already had and then the second day, which are What I'm going to see towards the end is when my grocery order arrived and I'm replenishing all the products, so I'm organizing the cereal here.
These cereal containers are from Walmart and I love them, they are a really great size and they are easy for my kids to hold and pour. I keep them here on this bottom shelf so my kids can easily access them and now we're going to work on some other items here, so I moved those clear containers. and I put the cheese crackers in there, as well as the granola bars and oatmeal. I felt like this was a good section to have those items so the kids could grab them. These are kid-friendly foods that get all the time my kids prepare.
My own oats and all that, so having it available down here was perfect and I ended up putting two of those Dollar Tree containers in that bigger basket there and it worked perfectly to keep them organized and they just looked a little better coming up. a shelfwhere we're going to add our fries now I'm making them a little bit prettier so they look nice before I just throw them in a basket on the floor, but I prefer this and it does. It's easier for the kids to see what's in there so they don't have to search in it and then the bin next to it is where I'm going to keep the larger bags of snacks like popcorn and then in this bin we're going to make our graham crackers, we have a lot of graham crackers right now because I bought a bunch for us to make graham cracker houses over Christmas and we didn't end up using as many, but that's okay, these are great little snacks that my kids love with a little butter of peanuts and banana on top and then I'll also add some Goldfish crackers as an extra in this twist.
Above is where I will keep all my keto products, so I will add chia seeds and then use the other glass container for my sugar free baking chocolate chips. I had several bags that were already open, so I'm just putting them all in this glass container and then I had two other bags that are not open. I don't know how I got all these bags, but it's okay, they'll get used to it. Sugar-free chocolate chips are not cheap. so I'm definitely not getting rid of them, but keeping them in this separate section will distinguish them from regular chocolate chips and then I'll also add some of my other keto snacks and this will just be my little container for My keto items go up on a shelf .
I added my flour and my sugar here. I use these all the time so I wanted them to be easy to grab and then I'll add some of the other items to these plastics. Sorry glass containers, I bought glass containers from Amazon so the first thing is to add regular chocolate chips and then we're also going to add white chocolate chips that I just had in a regular Ziploc, I think this little smaller container here. It's actually from I think it's actually from Amazon also that one is different. I already had that one in this container.
Let's go ahead and add our pasta. In fact I'm going to put pasta on the big three and just replenish them as they go this is strictly cosmetic, not because I needed it, they were perfectly fine in their boxes but I definitely think they look better and take up a little less space space than the boxes, that's why they go there but that is totally unnecessary in this small container. I'm going to put this open bag of nuts. I love nuts with yogurt, it tastes great, nice little Crunch and then on this last one here, I'm going to put my open container of oatmeal. and I think that will complete the glass containers.
Next we are going to work on this little plastic lifter that I bought at Walmart. I decided to put my kitchen items here on the riser instead of a Lazy Susan because I feel like I can see things a little easier and I just wanted something a little different. I wanted to change and I could put more things on this Riser than on the Lazy Susan, so I'm happy with this Riser, like I said. I bought it at Walmart, it was incredibly affordable, and then I moved on to the space next door. I'm putting this container full of leftover food, it has some cooking oils, some boxes of pasta, some ramen noodles, that kind of thing and then I also have another vegetable oil in there and I'm going to put my toaster back in now so that my toaster and My microwave lives here in the pantry, this is where we also use the toaster, we have a plug back there and it works. very very well and then we are also putting the bread in that container was also from the Dollar Tree.
I'm also adding some overflow containers that hold several boxes of granola bars. I'm putting a big thing of flour. and then in this little plastic container here I'm putting popcorn. This is actually a container that was ruined in the dishwasher so the lid doesn't fit, so it actually worked perfectly to hold the popcorn and again, I'm just leaving it out. here where the kids can grab it easily and then we're going to rearrange it a little bit. This happened, you know, several times when I was working here in the pantry moving things around so I could easily get to things, except that basket. it has almond flour, coconut flour, more keto products and then in this clear container, we're going to go ahead and add our ramen.
My kids love eating ramen, especially if they are hungry but just looking for something light. Although it is a great tool, we usually use half the packet to keep the sodium low. They are really delicious and easy to prepare. In this other container, I'm just going to put some dry goods like tortillas, some rice, and a little bit more. olive oil which is what I already have open as well as spam, we love spam, spam is so good in musubi, if you have ever had musubi let me know below, it is a delicious Hawaiian treat that we learned to make when I lived in Las Vegas and it is so addictive that it is spam with rice and you wrap it in seaweed with a delicious seasoning.
It's so cool now I'm going to play with where things are located. I wasn't sure exactly where they are. I was going to go at this point to what I was going to use, but I wanted to make sure I had enough room for everything, so I'm just moving things around, it's easier to do this before you fill them and then if you know where you're going to put them, so you have an idea of what you're going to put inside, but it was getting a little complicated towards the end and I wanted to make sure I had enough room for pretty much just food. in the pantry, uh, here I'm going to add the rest of my baking supplies, brown sugar, baking soda, powdered sugar, my sushi rice and then here, in these two containers, I'm going to put some other sweets, like this that I have in powder. sugar a bag full of candy left over from our gingerbread houses and some marshmallow.
Danny loves a good peanut butter and fluff sandwich and then I have marshmallows too. We always have a lot of marshmallows for hot chocolate and then I thought I would go. I wanted to put my blender here, but I actually decided I didn't like it here. I felt like it took up too much space, so I moved the small can with all those utensils to that shelf and put the blender in. Up here, which is from the beautiful line from Walmart, it's a nice little blender, it's not the fanciest for sure, but it was really affordable and it's nice, and then I'm just adding a few more napkins to the utensil holder and then we're going to add a few more elements, so back here I add our pancake mix and syrup and our large soy sauce and then I also add our vegetables, which ends up changing it up a little bit. and then in that other black container I had some water mixes and then in this large container I'm going to put some other utility items, so some leftover Ziploc bags are large gallon Ziploc bags that don't fit in the drawer. as well as the extra napkins and I ended up putting paper plates on there as well as the ones we use regularly.
I just didn't do it on camera because I hadn't been able to find them next. I'm going to add some other items into these containers above, so I've got some cake stands, a little tiered tray, there's me trying to keep the light on in this last container. I'm going to add in our rice cooker which I don't really use it very often but I have room for it so I decided to leave it here and I'm also putting in our large waffle maker and I thought I'd put in our two small waffle makers . I didn't have enough space. they stick out a little and are very bright colors so I just put one in the other one that I put in the baking drawer outside because the shelves are so deep I had some space behind things so I'm adding my photos . and then I added another Lazy Susan to put some miscellaneous items I had left over.
I decided to change things up a bit and use this wooden bowl from Hobby Lobby to hold my vegetables and now it was time to Clean things up to keep this Saturday night. I have been doing this for many, many hours. One thing I didn't film was how I tore up all the cardboard boxes that were no longer in the pantry and knocked you down. I know all the elements in the basement, how to take things out, I'm honestly not sure why I didn't film all that stuff. I think I was worried the video would be too long, but it was a lot of cleanup. in the kitchen I was happy to get it done so I'm going to give the pantry a quick little vacuum and then we're going to give it a little mop since it's nice and clean and then we're going to go pick up the pantry. replenished abroad.
I decided to use these two stackable dollar target place containers to put the drinks in the bottom, so I'm giving them a really good clean and then we're going to take them into the pantry and fill them up. up foreigner foreigner foreigner and now it's Sunday. My purchases were delivered and it's time to put them away. I'm starting by adding the rest of my vegetables to my bowl. Here I ended up putting those potatoes in the same space and now we're going to replenish a lot of things and put them away in the pantry foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign the last thing we're going to work on today is labeling some items in the pantry.
I picked up these beautiful white handwritten labels. from Amazon I have them linked for free below and I'm just going to go through and add some tags. I never thought I would be a sticker person but I actually love them and I think it makes it easier when I go to put things on, I love them, they were super easy, they were already made stickers. I didn't have to cut anything with my silhouette or anything I really appreciated because vinyl can be tricky, it's not my favorite thing to do, but I really love it. how did this turn out foreign foreign foreign thank you thank you foreign foreign thank you thank you foreign and that brings us to the end of this pantry

makeover
