I'm going to show you an experiment to prove my point. I'm going to use the same setting powder under each eye on one side of my face. I'm going to use my technique and on the other. On the other side of my face I'm going to use the technique that I see a lot of people use that doesn't really work. I'm also going out tonight, so to further prove my point, you're coming with me so we can. See which technique works best. I already have my skincare and my eyeshadow. We're going to start with the skincare for the under eye area and I'm using the Oola Henriksen Wrinkle Blurring Eye Cream.

Now I apply a very small amount of this and I literally just apply it here and let it go, smoothing it out and up, and this will help almost prep the under eye area as well now because we're trying to prevent those wrinkles under your eyes that you really have. You have to start with skin care for the under eye area. The skin around this area is the thinnest than anywhere else on your body, therefore, it is very delicate. You must make sure that it is well hydrated. If that area is too dry, then wrinkles will show.

Even more, try to stay well hydrated and honestly, I have heard of many people who do not use eye cream. You should start as soon as possible. It will really help soothe and nourish that area. to apply a thin layer of foundation and I'm using shiseido self-refreshing foundation. This is a test. I'm still waiting for my full size bottle to come out so I'm just using it for now. just apply this with a brush, just a thin layer all over. I'm going to go under the eye just a little bit, not too much, but I just want to get a good layer so I know where I need to hide, which one it is.
Mainly on the under eye area, I'm going to use my pie tape

concealer

in 29n, which is medium light. Now I know that everyone applies their

concealer

in a different way. I'm just going to show you my way because it's really about the way you obviously set it up as well as the way you apply concealer. This is how I apply my concealer to my under eye area. This is just for that kind of extra lift that I like now. I'll be honest, I extend it when I do it. start blending it so you can apply it all over that area if you want.
I see a lot of people saying you know now this is the right way to apply your concealer. You know, everything we were doing a few years ago worked, you know? It depends on each one now I'm going to use my blender. I'm going to start buffing this into my under eye area. Now I prefer to use a sponge because I feel like now you can get that nice seamless finish. my eye shadow is already done, all I need to do is just add a couple of eyelashes, which I'll do real quick, but you can see how this also helps drag that shadow up and just lift it up, okay?
I'm going to do this side, get right under it, so if you need to make those faces, then go ahead and do that. I mean, no one looks good wearing makeup, so I just twist the sponge around to catch the excess. So if you feel like you've added too much concealer, you can just flip your brush or your sponge or your brush, not your brush, just your sponge, flip it over and let it absorb the excess product that's in there so we. We've applied our concealer, now we're going to apply another layer of foundation so that this concealer blends into the rest of the face and doesn't look so white just by applying my Beauty Blender and my foundation.
Buffing it up starting from the forehead, I'm just going to do the rest of the face before I get to the under eye area, so I'm going to put a little bit more foundation on my sponge and now I'm going to go. under the eye, oh yeah, so I want to make sure that this area looks like part of my skin and doesn't look too shiny, but I like it to be a little bit brighter on the other side, so I've blended everything now, the This next part is where I'm going to show you how to avoid those wrinkles, so I alternate between different setting powders, but today I'm going to use the Laura Mercier setting powder because I feel like it's very popular. powder and a lot of you use it too so I want to use something that I know a lot of people generally use so you know you can see it's not so much about the product but also your technique.
I'm not saying the product doesn't do anything, but I am saying that the technique for me is what really tops it off and ensures no under eye wrinkles form. Let's start with my one side pinning technique. First, I'm going to go over with my powder puff and I use the Charles Fox powder puff, which is this triangle shape and it's perfect because your finger fits perfectly and it fits perfectly into the under eye area now before we go. On top of that, I'm going in with my beauty blender, this is the part that's so crucial guys, seriously, there's a fly in here and it's really bothering me, but I know it's one of those parts where you can never catch it. anyway.
Keep going, so I'm going to grab my Beauty Blender. Now I'm going to run the tip of the Beauty Blender right under the eye to make sure there are no creases if you don't do this and go in. with your setting powder you are setting creases, that's what you are doing, you are literally creating creases, so you will see those creases immediately, they won't even appear later, you will see them immediately. So what I want you to understand is that we all have natural lines. It's normal to have them now. The reason you see those lines improve later in the day is because you have concealer or foundation there and they are there. those lines now what we want to do is wipe the product off those lines and then we're going to apply the setting powder so it sets that nice soft base and you don't have to worry about that so this part we're going to do it pretty quick but that's it like you should do it at home too, so we're going to go in with the tip of the sponge to make that face because it's the only way to do it right. under that crease area, I literally lifted the product with the brush tip facing out, so I want you to see I'm going right under it now that it's out.
The sponge has absorbed all the excess product there. I'm going to stay like this. that as much as you can use your product, the powder on the tip of this there's no wrinkles there now I'm going to press let's go back to printing now I've really gotten into that kind of crease the area there, so now here's where you can relax a little bit and you can apply it anywhere else, so I like to apply it here. See, the first place I set was that immediate one in that section right under the tabs because that's where I get that.

creasing

, so now that it's done, I want to leave it there, so this is all part of the process and I'm going to just go in with my powder in other areas.
I also go here because you have that smile wrinkle there and all I'm doing here is where I use a bigger puff, this is the Laura Mercier puff now and I'm just pressing the powder all over and we're going to continue, just continue with forehead, do this right, now this is where I come in with my setting brush, which is real techniques. I love this brush because it fits very well under the eye. You can use another brush, just make sure it's super soft. what we're going to do is go under the eye area, there's nothing on this brush, there's no product, we're just going to dust it off, let's do that face again, I know it's really ugly, but we're going to look up, we're going to dust very lightly, I'm not going to put too much pressure on that area, we're just going to dust the rest of the face and that's it, let's move on to the other side.
I'm going to use my real techniques brush. I see a lot of people using brushes similar to this or a similar size, so they basically dip the powder with the brush, which is normal, and then they start pressing, which is great and works at first. so we literally just press that powder and then I'll do the same thing with the rest of the face. Now I wanted to position the rest of the face the same way so you guys can really see the difference, so we've set up both sides of the face focusing on the under eye area.
This side of the face is with my technique. This side of the face is with the generic technique that I see a lot of people use to set their makeup. I have to finish the rest of my face. I have to put bronzer on my eyebrows, lips, so I'll see you in a moment. I'm already made up and I want to show you what time it is. It's 2:57. I'm going out. a few hours so I'll see you when I get out so I'm out now and to be honest I haven't checked my face for the last few hours so I'm not really sure which side it's on. looking bright or not so bright and I definitely haven't checked the area under my eyes, but I can see on the screen right now that one side has a little more shadow than the other, it's probably a little hard to tell at the moment. moment, but I'm really hungry, so I'm looking forward to something to eat from time to time.
I'll see you probably in a few hours. Hello guys, I'm back home. Now it's quite late. I wanted to show you the time. 10 53 so you can see how late it is. I was out all night and I was sitting outside all night so I took a snapshot of the weather so you guys can also see how humid it was because it's May and I live in Dubai so it's pretty hot so I wanted to see how well my technique adapts and works in this type of climate. Now, obviously, we have on one side, we have my technique and then on the other side, we have the technique that I use.
I see a lot of people using it and I personally don't think it works very well right now, as we can see this is still pretty matte. I'm happy with this, it's not. super matte but I feel like you know it could still last a few more hours and I would be happy looking like that and I know I will because I do this every day that's the technique I use. every day and it works for me. I never have to keep checking my makeup. I know that even if I arrive late at night, I'm pretty sure my makeup will be in place and won't look like me.
I need to like it, I've had it on for so long, whereas this side now you can see it's really shiny in some areas and it's gotten to that point where you just want to wash it and it looks disgusting, like I just did it. I need to get all of this off now you can also see the difference with your eyes underneath here you have my normal lines that will always be there you will always have lines there that you're not going to get rid of but what we're trying to avoid is getting that crease under the eyes where the concealer and the foundation sit in those lines and we don't have that here, these lines were there when I initially did my makeup, now here you can Look, it's cracking, you have darkness here and those lines are spread out a little bit there and you can see the concealer and foundation in those lines, so I really hope this showed you that technique matters.
