hearts along with paint stir sticks which I will link in the description box below, you can find them on Amazon. I started by calculating how long I wanted my box to be mine. I'm cutting it down to about four inches long using my hand saw and miter box, I ended up cutting six pieces of paint stripping rods in total.

What I do here is take some wire cutters and cut the smaller sized heart, but you could actually create three wreaths with this since there are three different sized hearts, then I took out any of the extra little pieces of metal and I made sure it was flat now to add my beads to the heart shape. I'm using some hot glue and I have this green mat protecting my surface. I'll link it below as well, so I'm just going to add hot glue to the top of the wreath shape and place those half beads on top and I did it all the way around the heart and then to make sure they stayed in place, I flipped the wreath to the back and added even more hot glue to make sure all the beads had some extra support and to make this wreath hangable I'm just creating a bow with some ribbon and tying a knot.

I flipped the wreath back over and hot glued it right on the tip of the heart. This love notes sign is a fun shape. To leave special messages for your loved ones, I'm starting with a wooden heart shape from Dollar Tree and painting the whole thing with the flamingo red color which is from the Apple Barrel brand that you can even find at Walmart again. I'm using my white chalk marker to add some details around the edges with just some dots and dashes to add a decorative embellishment and then in the left corner I wrote the word love notes.
These clothes pins are also from Dollar Tree. They are medium in size. Find them in your craft section, I just place them randomly around the heart and then use a little hot glue to hold them in place and lastly I added some ribbon on top through the holes that were already in the heart so it can be hung. Today's emoji. It is of course a heart, so leave me your favorite colored heart emoji in the comments section below, if you don't have emojis you can leave the word love. This decorative mason jar shelf piece is so fun to make.
I'm starting with a Christmas style mdf glass jar. I'm only going to use the back so I had to remove the labels first so I'm using a hair dryer to heat it up and that melts the adhesive on the back as far as you can. Easily remove those stickers. I also like to sand them a little to remove all the extra adhesives. Then I go in with some light pink chalk paint and paint everything. So I decided to give mine a gray top so I painted the top section and sides with some gray chalk paint and then I also wanted to add lots of fun details using my acrylic markers.
I'll link them in the description box below too, so I added some little black details. to the lid and also to the signs on the sides to really define the look of the glass jar. I also go in with my hair dryer between different colors to make sure I don't stain anything or mix the colors once I have some. For the fun details on my finished mason jar, I went in with my white chalk marker and added some highlights and some little extra details. I also added some red and white twine tied around the top of the lid to add that little extra touch of special detail.
Now to make some farmhouse style books, these are Christmas books from Dollar Tree that I actually used for Christmas. I just unwrapped them and decided to change and reuse them for Valentine's Day. For the covers, I'm using cut-out white cardstock. tailored so that they wrap around the outside and create a sort of cover for the fronts of the books. Once I had all three books covered, I adorned them with a burlap style ribbon that had a cute red thread through it to give it that Valentine's Day flair. See, I also used a little hot glue to hold them in place and then on top I added some red and white twisted Christmas yarn, but it also works great for Valentine's Day and then I used a red acrylic marker to write I love you. the spines of each book, the following is more advice than DIY.
You can actually take the scarves that are from Dollar Tree and use them as pillow toppers, so this is actually an infinity scarf, so I had to cut it up and just wrapped it around the sides of one of my couch pillows. , I tied a bow in the middle along with a knot and trimmed the ends so everything blended in nicely and then just spread out the edges so they covered more. from the pillow and it was as simple as that, this is probably my favorite DIY from this video. It's a set of heart arrows using some picks from Dollar Tree along with some rods and pink felt.
I started by painting the rods with my traditional burnt umber acrylic paint, I made three of these, of course you can make as many as you want, then I took the picks out of these shiny styrofoam hearts, I used my scissors to make a small hole in the top. top of the heart and added a little heat. glue and then I inserted a dowel into the end and then to create the feathers that will go on the other end I will use that pink felt, cut three rectangular shapes and then cut the edges at an angle and then cut little slits. up the sides to create that feather look, then I used my hot glue and crossed all the rods at a center point, glued them all together and used some twine to help keep them in place and then used a satin red bow from a previous one. project to help cover that glue now to make a love potion bottle.
I'm pretty obsessed with these cute new bottles at Dollar Tree. They start out as clear glass, but we will use glass-look krylon spray paint. to cover everything and then that will give it a very nice and high end style look giving it that mirror finish so I spray painted everything leaving the lid on and once it was dry I started to create a little tag that we can hang on the side that says love potion, the label is actually from Dollar Tree and I also use my chalk markers for this and what I like about this project is that I can remove this label after the holidays and use this bottle for other holidays or other decorative pieces in our home, below is an

easy

way to create a wall hanging tapestry using some wooden dollar tree hearts and another dowel.
I have two colors of pink paint and my traditional burnt umber and brown. I painted all the hearts pink. and my rod with the brown color. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to write on these hearts so I left them simple, but let me know in the description box below or in the comments section below what you would write on your hearts or how. You would decorate them. I'd love to hear your ideas for putting this all together. I'm using my red and white twine tied from the hearts to the rod. I will link this too in the description box below and then for the above to hang it on the wall I am using red and white gingham ribbon now to create these cute love topiaries the picks came from the same bag as our hearts from our project of arrows before we will also use some wooden boxes that you can find at Dollar Tree.
I'm taking my traditional burnt umber acrylic paint and painting the boxes and then I'll fill them with some Styrofoam that you can also find at Dollar Tree. Now you can move forward. and place those spikes directly into your styrofoam. I'm going to use the green dollar tree moss to cover the styrofoam so you can't see it. I always wanted to try making one of these candy heart wreaths and found all the supplies at Dollar Tree, from the candy to the wreath. I'm going to go ahead and paint the green wreath with light pink paint because I knew we weren't going to be able to cover every full inch of this wreath. with the candy hearts so any dots that could be seen I wanted it to have that pastel look so what I did was I just took my time and went around the wreath adding candy hearts with my hot glue so I would add a little bit.
A little hot glue here and there, I added the candy hearts and kind of worked around the wreath. It sounds like a tedious process, but it really didn't take long and is very fun and cute. It took me about three bags of candy to make a wreath this size, so as you can see, I didn't make the back so it would be flush with the wall, it doesn't take that long if you don't make the back like Well, I just tied some ribbon around the top, made a loop in it, and tied a knot in it so it could hang.
I'm so obsessed with these cute yarn hearts that I want to make a bunch of these and make a garland, but I'm starting with the same wood. dollar tree tags and also their thread, I'm taking advantage of the hole in the tags and tying the thread in a knot so that the tail doesn't come loose and I'm just winding and winding the thread around the heart until all the wood was covered and it didn't show and then I tied a knot on the back of the heart and then trimmed the tail with my scissors to make another cute piece of shelf decor starting with this kind of wooden dollar tree house.
It had these big flowers on the front so I took them off first but again we're going to turn it over and use the back so I needed to remove the labels and stickers from the back so I'm going to use my hair dryer again to loosen it up . The adhesives and sand it lightly before I go in and start drawing my design. I knew I wanted windows and a door and what I did first was use a paint marker for this, but it didn't look dark enough. then I went in with my white chalk paint and did my basic coverage using chalk paint instead of the marker so the white chalk paint gave me much better coverage and then I decided I wanted a red door on this cute house so I'm using my flamingo red and a brush to add that, once it was completely dry I went in and added a white heart to the front door and used my Sharpie marker to write love lives here on the side.
I wish I had a black paint pen. for this instead I could have gotten a little better wording instead of this fine tip on the marker but it worked in the moment and then like I said I added that cute little white heart to the front door, these moss hearts don't They could be simpler. Of course, I'm starting with these little moss balls that you can find at Dollar Tree and basically what I'm going to do is take a paintbrush and use it to manipulate the shape of the Styrofoam underneath, so I created sort of that The top part dipped into the top of the heart and then pinched the bottom part to where it had a sort of point.
You can use a paintbrush like I did for this or a pencil or even a somewhat thin rod that you can manipulate. With Styrofoam, we usually always count down the days until Christmas, but it's also fun to count down the days until Valentine's Day, so to do that we'll use this heart-shaped wooden frame from Dollar Tree that I want mine to have afarmhouse look. so I started by painting my frame with gray paint first and then the heart insert I painted with chalkboard paint and then once that layer was dry I used my white chalk paint and I went in and dry applied that layer of paint giving it that worn look. wood look, you will also need to add a couple of coats of chalkboard paint to your heart.
Now I'm adding a vinyl decal on the side that says days until Valentine's Day, but of course you can also use a marker and write this yourself. Also, this is one of my favorite reads I've ever done. I'm actually just using a book from Dollar Tree and cutting out many, many pages from this great book. I'm also using a wreath form from Dollar Tree. Also, once I cut out a lot of pages, I'm actually using half a sheet per section that we're going to glue together so you can see here. I angled mine into a diamond shape and then folded it.
The corners look like the shape of a tie, but I wanted that point and that's what's going to go around our wreath, so you can see here. I'm pointing out where the center of the crown is. I wanted that point to be really defined. on the front so what I'm doing is making sure it's centered by wrapping it around the top and then we're going to hot glue this piece in place creating a flap on the back and then also gluing the tip to the forehead. So now basically we need to create many tie shapes. Like I said again, we start with a diamond shape that we fold the right and left corners and we're going to turn it over to the front so the folds are facing the back.
Once you have several of these prepped and ready to go, we're going to fold the top corner down. and then we're going to hot glue them up to that center point so that the center that we started with is actually kind of a base and I'm going to add hot glue to each of those book pages and I'm going to add them under one in front of it and It's basically just a layering technique. Sometimes I had to flip the wreath to the back to make sure it stayed attached to the wreath shape, so continue this process until you have your entire heart shape. made with those book pages, I actually saw a set similar to this on Pinterest and knew I could recreate it using items from Dollar Tree, so I'm starting with some of their white foam boards and cutting out two rectangular shapes, both from the same size so I started by guessing what size I wanted so my first triangles were a little too big and I had to go back down and cut them a little more.
I am using an Exacto knife to cut. My foam board pieces gave me a nice clean edge. You can see that my x here is a little too thick so I had to go back and remove some of the sides to make them thinner and then I was in the process of creating that a faux wood look, starting by painting the styrofoam this yellow color, it's Apple Barrel's Kings Gold color and I know it sounds like that. It's strange to paint yellow when you're going for a wood look, but you'll see why I do it here in a moment while the paint dries.
I used my green dollar tree moss and covered one of their Styrofoam wreath shapes. with it using my hot glue now to do some magic and make this foam look like wood. I'm using my traditional burnt umber acrylic paint and a brush that has bristles to create a sort of wood grain look, so what am I doing? I'm just brushing this in the same direction, but I'm letting some of that yellow show through to make it look like wood bark, so I just did that and then came back with a wet paper towel and wiped it off a little bit.
I'm going to do that one more time giving it one more coat after this coat dries, so now that they're dry you can see that we have a much closer look to the wood grain. I'm going to use my hot glue to stick them together. in place to give us that x shape and also some jute to tie around the middle to give it more of a farmhouse look and then you can place the pieces next to each other so they have that kind of xo look. I really love that look. This is because it is a non-traditional way to get a beautiful look and a subtle touch of Valentine's Day compared to traditional pinks and reds.
This wreath actually only costs about two dollars because we will be using a pack of white hearts. Doilies and a dollar tree wreath are formed and to start we are going to fold the bottom tip of our heart doilies and add a staple to the bottom. Now you want to go ahead and repeat this process for a total of 24 hearts. Let's go ahead and flip our crown shape over and work on the inner ring first. We'll take the stapled tip of our hearts, place it over that inner ring, and use a little bit of hot glue to keep it where you want it. to add two hearts per section that divide inside this wreath and then continue until you have 12 hearts around that center ring.
Now we are going to work on the outer ring of our wreath creating a second layer. We're going to repeat the process of passing the tip of our heart through the wreath and over the top of the ring and hot gluing it into place again. You will add two hearts per section and you will have 12 hearts total. On the outside, it's always very cold here during the month of February, so having a cup of coffee or a cup of hot chocolate for the season is super fun. This red mug is from Dollar Tree and I am adding a vinyl decal to the front. use the source, Oracle vinyl number 651 thin matte black for this, if you don't have a vinyl machine you can also use a black marker or a white marker if it is to be used for decorative purposes, the vinyl definitely makes it usable.
However, it's a mug and it's super easy and a super quick and easy way to create some Valentine's Day kitchen decor to create your own hugs and kisses glass jars. You can find these jars at Dollar Tree and basically all I did was remove the top lids and I made sure the inside was clean since I was going to put some candy inside and I took the lids off the mason jars, one I painted with my pink chalk paint and the other one I painted with my red chalk paint on the front once. Well actually, once they were dry I put the lids back on the jars and then I added back some vinyl stickers to the front, one that says hugs and one that says kisses, but again you can use a marker for this also.
I love this subtle Valentine's touch. day at my traditional farmhouse decor, this bottle is from Dollar Tree of course, so what I did was tie some jute around the top and tie a knot. I also found these cute wooden stickers at Dollar Tree and hot glued one of those on. the jute knot and then added another sticker on the front that said Cupid. This is another way to use wooden hearts from the Dollar Tree. This one has a very farmhouse look and I'm excited to show you how I created them. the flowers on the front, but first I painted this wooden sign with my gray chalk paint and then gave it that weathered wood look by putting some white chalk paint back on top to give it roughness, so I wanted to add that jute.
I first hot glued it and tied it in place and I wanted to add those fabric flowers on top so to create them I'm using a Dollar Tree scarf and a Dollar Tree t-shirt. The base is just normal felt. He started by tying a knot at the end of the fabric and then cutting the tail. You'll take the hot glue and hot glue it to a spot on the felt and then wrap it around that knot, twisting it as you go and hot gluing it. Place it in place once you have twisted it and you have your flower the size you want, you just need to cut the tail off and make sure the end is hot glued in place and then you take your scissors and cut out the flower.
You felt so this is a quick look at one of them wearing a t-shirt and next I'll show you what one looks like wearing a scarf from Dollar Tree so I made three flowers for this one and hot glued them on. instead and then I added another sticker on the front that says "be mine" so I usually always see these heart plates at Dollar Tree and this is a different and fun way to create a decorative piece with them instead of using them just like a plate of sweets. What I'm doing is I'm just painting the whole back with my pink chalk paint, sorry for the blurring here and I gave it two coats, let it dry and basically we're going to make a cute little decorative shelf piece so the inside I actually tilted it on its side and then added a love sticker on the inside again.
You could use a marker for this instead and it just made a cute little decorative piece. These Valentine's Day blocks you could really get creative and use them for like that. lots of different things but these are just dollar tree toy wooden blocks that I first painted with my gray chalk paint and then gave them my distressed wood technique using dry brushed white chalk paint on the front but you can also paint yours with traditional Valentine's Day colors. or you could even paint these colors completely different for different holidays and seasons, but I really love this farmhouse neutral look, so I feel like we could turn them around and write different things on them for different holidays too and keep them neutral, but one Once I had all of them painted and dried I decided to write x and o on the fronts and then I also turned them over and wrote love on some of them so they could be used in different ways.
Love definitely comes to mind when I see this beautiful faux chalkboard the frame is made of dollar tree rules. I used my miter box and a hand saw to cut the ends of the rulers that had the holes in them. All four rulers were cut to the same length. I took them. to my black foam board and arranged them around them so I could cut the foam board to the correct size. You want to make sure your rulers are facing the smooth edge, not the edge with the small groove. We're going to use traditional burnt umber acrylic paint to paint them so they have a wood look.
Now we are going to glue the frame pieces around the edges, let the glue dry completely and then you will see. When I tilt this up, we still have a white border and you can see the foam, so what we want to do is take our brown paint again and go around all the edges to hide that now you can create any design on your board. What do you want, obviously this is not a traditional chalkboard so anything you do here will be permanent, but I simply created a heart for Valentine's Day and wrote love in the center once the ink on your pen has dried, what I like to do is go in with traditional ink or traditional chalk that you can erase and go over everything, it will give it an aged look, like the board has been used for a while and then you can erase that and it will still leave some of that chalk behind and it gives you a more authentic look like this video if you made it to the end and let me know in the comments below which of these 25
