At Walmart, I fill little holes, you can use wood filler or hot glue and then go ahead and paint this white, as I mentioned, keeping a more neutral look, it makes your home so peaceful after all the color and hustle and bustle. The house is always so full after Christmas so I am relieved whenever I can put up a neutral decoration which is a little more relaxing, although I love Christmas decorations it always gets very stressful with all the new toys and the mess I just made. Getting back to this project, this is one of my favorite tricks since I painted my signs white and let them dry completely. I just folded a piece of sandpaper and this I'm using a ruler level that I got from the Dollar Tree but you can use any type of ruler or anything straight but I love to just scrape the paint off to make it look like real boards and this actually It looks like a small ball. I also grabbed one of these Let It Snow wood pieces from Dollar Tree. I just stained it a grayish color and added these little wooden beads to the top as well as some snowflakes, but what a beautiful sign it is.
It doesn't feel like Christmas at all, but it's perfect for the winter season. I thought this was the coolest thing I've ever discovered. If you grab one of these plastic snow globes from the Dollar Tree, you turn one of these bubble vases upside down, it fits in there and it looks like a snowman, so it's adorable, it's a super fun project. You could do it with kids or make it a fun craft project for the whole family, but all I did was pour some white paint on the top snow globe and just cover it with white paint.
You can also take a paintbrush and just paint the inside or use spray paint but after I put them both white I glued them on top of each other and then I started playing around

decorating

this snowman so I added a little black sock on first and I didn't like it, so I added a gray one. I used some hot glue to give it a sort of 3D nose. You need to be careful. I would turn my hot glue gun down to a low setting to do that because it wants to warp a little bit on the plastic snowball, but then I went in with the back of my brush, gave it some big eyes, a little mouth painted its nose and I tied a ribbon for the scarf.
Abroad, this is the perfect time to take advantage of all the extra glassware you have, perhaps candles left over from the year that you haven't burned yet. I know that during the Christmas season I always get a lot of candles, so I like to use the old ones for different things at this time. I'm using Dollar Tree candles for these projects, but like I say, always use what you have on hand and you can use leftover candles that are half burnt, but I have these gorgeous ones. snowflake shaped plates that I found at Dollar Tree, but I have bins and bins of old plates and things that I could take out and use, but just to show everyone the current products that are out of the store.
I love this silver finish on these. Filling them with candles, I just put the little wicks back in there, cut them off and they look so beautiful and elegant and it would be so much fun to sit down and celebrate the New Year. I admit that I am busy, busy, busy all year round. so I like to take some time off in December just for myself and it's something I find really relaxing - painting, not that I'm a professional art painter or anything but I enjoy seeing the occasional snowman or something easy to do . I found one of these snow globe signs from the Dollar Tree.
I'm flipping it back and then just having fun with it. I use some type of aquamarine paint mixed with a little bit of white paint and I'm using chalk paint here. It doesn't really matter what you use, although I like chalk paint because I feel like you get much better coverage, it dries much faster, but I'm just blending and streaking this to make it look like a real snowball. It also gives it some dimension and character by blending the paint so I painted the background gray because I'm going to add Let It Snow to the background and I had fun with that.
I pulled up some images from Pinterest on my phone written in snowman or snowman. wooden signs or wooden door hangers and you can get some amazing

ideas

on how to paint the snowman. Of course, we all know how to put two or three snowballs together to create the snowman, but for some really fun details and some

ideas

, maybe you can. I'm not the best at thinking about what the face or hat or hat should look like. scarf so all you have to do is look at one of these Pinterest images and get the look you're going for so I thought. this was so cute i would have just put dots on the eyes but it looks like he is so happy and then he added a scarf and hat.
This was very easy to make, but I feel like it turned out really cute, you might even like it. Let this dry and then glue a small heart to your hand or glue some greenery to your hat. I was as simple as possible. I used the back of my brush to make it look like it was snowing, but I feel like what really makes this stand out is outlining it with this black paint marker. Now you have to be careful with this Sharpie type oil based paint marker, it will bleed if you spray it with clear coat, so be careful not to spray this pin specifically oil based.
I just want to use a regular paint marker for that, but I feel like it turned out super cute. I added a bow, painted some small letters and I love it. It is perfect to enjoy throughout the winter abroad. The next step is like the quickest and easiest DIY ever. but it looks so elegant and beautiful and it really looks like you tried to pick up some of these tall chandeliers from the Dollar Tree. I just moved the top back and forth until it came off, it leaves some sharp metal so be careful. Be careful with that, you could apply a little bit of hot glue and to keep it more secure, but I just used my pliers and removed the excess metal and then spray painted these gold ones and then used some of these beautiful

dollar

snowflakes.
Tree I glued them on these stands and they look very pretty sitting on a table. They are very fragile, so you want to make sure you are careful when working with these. I didn't break any, but I felt like they would. If you would have been really hard on these, but I tried to push them up as high as I could while keeping the ugly piece in the middle of the snowflake so it wouldn't show and these look so nice and tall. -For me, I found so many pieces like this on high end websites that run very expensive so it's fun to put them together for just a few

dollar

s and enjoy them and once again make it feel so cozy and inviting.
With all these frozen crystals, we don't get much snow, but it does snow sometimes here, so it's fun to celebrate and enjoy the rest of the winter season before it all turns into rain and a money disaster. I grabbed a couple of these Christmas circles, but they also sell just the usual craft circles in the craft section, but I went ahead and cut this little trim piece on top to get the perfect circle and I'll create a really fun sign hanger that You can refresh it to fit your decorating style, but for this I'm using some mineral colored chalk paint and I go ahead and cover everything and let it dry completely.
I had some really fun ones left over, like a plaid ribbon that looked wintery and cozy, so I'm going to use that to create a bow for the top. I'll make a super simple double bow tie that I put together with some juice wine and then I'll stick it on top. I really wanted to add some character and not just paint the words directly. on the sign and it looked like they were just floating, so I thought it would be fun to use painter's tape and create a couple of different sized stripes here that would be as big as the word I was going to use. for the top one I used the bright gray color Silver Lining and then for the bottom one I used a darker color and then I used some black stickers.
I love playing with stickers. I know they're going to peel off, but if you modify Podge on them, they'll stay on great, and sometimes if your sticker isn't even the right color for the project you want to use, I even like to paint it over them and then use them the same way. same way. ways you can put them to good use I didn't have big white stickers. I really wanted this to have contrast and look different, so I just used it freehand. I know doing it freehand scares me to death. I don't ever want to ruin my project, but I feel like something like a four letter word isn't the worst, just freehand, adding a snowflake and a wooden bead hanger, and I feel like this is perfect to put on the foreign door I'm using a baby fleece. blanket just because I love this pattern, but you can use any from Dollar Trees as scarves which would be perfect for this project.
I'm also using one of these microfibers as rags or car drying towels and will use it for the fluffy gloves, but I had some of these gloves left over from Walmart a few years ago and thought it would be fun to update them or use them with an improved look, so I want keep them the same, but I thought it would be fun to make some of these gray plaid ones to go with them and just make a whole garland. Now the Walmart ornaments are these. I think they were around $250 or $3 and would have been expensive if you just wanted to buy them individually. so making them like this is not only making them custom, but also saving you some money, so I just traced the little Mitten.
I wish I had given it even more room to glue it, but I added a little hot glue. this inside out after it has cooled completely and then just use a little bit more of the baby blanket to fill it so it looks stuffed like the original, a little mitt I'm looking at and then use the microfiber towel to cut it up and then glue it around the top to give it a cozier mitten look and then you can go in and attach them to your rope and then I add some greenery to match and coordinate with the original foreign white gloves.
Next I'm going to do something that has been a classic on my channel forever. When I started on YouTube, I made different versions of these for Christmas and everyone loved them. I was so excited about it, so I updated them over the years. this vase shaped piece of glass that I use on the top to make it look like an old fashioned lantern and then really anything will work for the bottom like oil warmers from Dollar Tree or these little shaved vase and then I fill it with a little fun as winter pieces. I added some red berries for Christmas, but you can easily leave them out if you want a more neutral look.
I am using these LED candles, they have a removable base that you can stick on so you are I can still take the candle out, change the batteries or twist it to light. I added a little bit of ribbon, but again, you could make this a ribbonneutral Add it in some bells, but this seems very cozy to me, but again I keep getting. To add some lighted pieces so I don't miss out on all my Christmas pieces, next time when doing some winter projects you can't go wrong just adding something like greenery or green

tree

s so I wanted to create a little stand where I could display some of the gorgeous Dollar Tree like little fake trees they have.
I'm using some of these little pieces of wood. I use two longer ones and two shorter ones just to create a little rectangular shape and then I glue them together and then This is super easy. I just stain it and glue three of the trees to the bottom and add a little sign to the top. These are the bottle brush trees I chose and they have a little bit of gold detailing. I would do it. rather they haven't just been flocking, but they wouldn't. I went ahead and followed him since he was still neutral. I feel like it didn't look Christmassy yet.
It had this Farm Fresh sign. This came from the Dollar Tree in a package of little wooden words that I bleached. or just brushed over that stuck on top. I feel like it looks really cool hanging from the top like this, but it looks really fun. I have designed it with some Christmas decorations, but only next to some like lanterns or snowflakes. I feel like this would come together to be perfect at the end of every crafting season. I always have a bunch of these, like metal containers or metal vases, left over over these little pots, so I wanted to make this again.
I had one that was like a random one. So I went ahead and painted that white just to leave some metal on the top and bottom to add extra detail and then used some window clings which is one of my favorite ways to decorate a planter or pot. so for the winter I had one that had just some small evergreens and some deer, so I glued them on there with a glue stick and then Mod Podge over it all so they wouldn't come off. I feel like what makes these look so beautiful is adding these little rope handles to either side.
I simply tied knots in them and glued them on with a little hot glue. You can also drill a hole, but they look really cute and then you can add any type of greenery you want. Like Dollar Tree, they always make tons and tons and tons of these little MDF pieces that they have like jars and houses, and there are so many ways to remake them, so I tried to remove the whole front, but it was kind of a struggle, so Les I went around and painted the bag, I painted them white, put a little black top on them, added a little piece of ribbon just for a decorative piece around the top and then taking the back of my brush I added the perfect phase of the little snowman and the dresses. above abroad, next I'm going to work on little houses that had these felt flowers on the front, once again I tried to remove them but ended up turning them upside down and painting them this white after removing the labels and I feel like I would do them.
These really cute ones are for adding a little roof on top that would make a bit of an overhang, so using some giant popsicle sticks. I love these from Walmart. I use them like in any other project. I cut them to size so I could glue them on top and then decorate the house. I added some jute twine and made a little ornament. I had these little star ornaments from Dollar Target Place, but Dollar Tree also sells some simple little wood pieces and The ornaments have tons of snowflakes and stickers like wood sticker sheets that you can use for this project.
I dressed it up by adding some white stitching around the star and some more foreign greenery. Christmas forever and happy holidays, I know. that Christmas crafts are super fun and it's sad when it's all over, especially if you still have some extra time, maybe you don't have to work as much or everyone is home and you need something to do, so it's super fun to create things that last . Memories I remember growing up, we did crafts all the time and we always had our grandmothers, our aunts and our family just to spend time together and do crafts and yes, those projects didn't always turn out perfect or maybe they would fall apart within a couple of years and you have to glue them back together, but it's so fun to pull out those containers every year and pull out those crafts and I've laughed and enjoyed the memories that you always remember, like where you did it and who you were with. and all the fun memories that come with creating it, so once again I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I'm sure I'll still be here on YouTube, just not as frequently over the next few weeks, but I just wanted to jump on here and say hello and I hope you enjoy the rest of the year.
