Nora lost her husband to brain cancer in 2014, and in the months and years after her death, Nora found comfort and meaning in helping others through her grief. People began to see her as a kind of grief doula. Over time, these responsibilities began to increase and Nora felt overwhelmed, but she didn't believe she had a way out. Are you allowed to leave anything? Winners never give up and those who give up never win. Was she going to win the Best Widow award? I don't know. I think I felt in many ways that she had inadvertently constructed this identity that had become a cage for me.
