Hello, my name is Laura and I am real. I would like to share my story about

living

with

bipolar

disorder

because this is a topic that has often been avoided or spoken about in hushed tones. I want to be vulnerable, honest and humble with my fellow students about realities. of mental illnesses I am also a bridge as a biologist and lover of learning. I am constantly looking for new avenues to teach those who are not in science or even in university. I would like to be the bridge between the communities of diagnosed mentally ill people. and the students hope that this opens a channel of communication to dismantle the stigma surrounding

bipolar

disorder

I'm very passionate. I want to increase awareness and support for students with mental illness. I want to shed light on some of the misconceptions about bipolar and promote stigma-free environments to discuss topics related to mental illness and the personal experiences people may have had. I hope to share my passion and initiative around bipolar disorder to create a collaborative energy among the UBC student community.
