Then I'll take a paper towel and remove it. Because of the excess wax in there and because the wax itself isn't sticking to the hot glue that was used to attach the snowflake, I'm going to touch it up with some truffle chalk paint to help blend it in a little better now. . You can use Truffle Chalk Paint to paint the entire skate, but I like the wood grain that the antique wax gives. You can see that wood grain, but if you just use Truffle, you'll just get a normal brown color, so once it dries. I'm going to take some white chalk paint and go over each of the snowflakes right at the top.

I don't worry about the sides or the edges and then I'm going to go ahead and paint the top as well. the skate and for that you will need two layers and I will make sure to also put the entire outer edge where you can see that from the side this part would also look very beautiful if you covered it with some faux fur. I'm going to paint the bottom of each of the skates again making sure to get into the grooves on the bottom as well as the bottom of the skate itself just because you'll be able to see them now while We're drying, let's grab one of the posters of labels from Dollar Tree, this one measures 15 and 3 8 inches tall and seven and seven eighths of an inch wide, we will turn it over and cover the back with a scrapbook.

Hobby Lobby paper now my piece is not big enough to cover the entire bag Try to line up the design so you can place them on top to keep it in place. I'm going to use painter's tape, but I'm not going to press too hard because I don't want to tear my scrapbook paper. then I can turn it over and trace the top so I can cut it out. I'm going to keep everything taped until I glue it all together, so I'll use a glue stick, but you can also use a mod podge. and I'm going to put the bottom on first and make sure to put the glue stick on the edge of the paper as well to make sure everything stays in place, then I can remove the painter's tape on the bottom. very careful not to tear the paper and then I could attach this section to the top and make sure to attach it to the sign as well as the scrapbook paper that's already on the side, then I'll be able to get that last little section. and I try to blend it in as best as possible to make sure you don't see any of the seams.

Then I'll take the tip of a painter's brush to re-poke the holes so we can add our hanger later. and I'm distressing the edges with antique wax just to

light the outline of the outside edges, then we can put our thread hanger back on and I'm just going to double knot the back of each side and cut that excess off now as I do it . I recommend covering the back with some craft paper and that will give it a really beautiful finished look for creating a bow. I'm using some dark burlap, some medium brown burlap, and some white burlap, so I've cut three eight-inch pieces from each. and I'm just going to alternate the colors until I have them all stacked together and then I'm going to take a piece of twine after I put it in the middle and I'll tie a double knot in the back, now leave your Leftover Twine there because you're going to need it to hold your skates, so when you tie it up just make sure you tighten it really tight in the middle and then you can separate each of your pieces now that I put mine on.
At the top I felt like I needed to add an extra piece of dark brown, so I cut it a little shorter and went ahead and tied it to the top of the bun, then I'll attach each excess piece. string on the skate but I'm not going to tie it yet I need to make sure everything lines up so I put the bow on the side and I'm only going to tie it once I'm not going to tie it yet because after that I have my bow on. I need to see if I need to adjust the length of each of the strings once I know they are exactly where I want them to be.
You could go ahead and add that second knot and cut off the excess. I think this sign turned out absolutely stunning. I love the colors and I love the fact that not only can you keep it like this for Christmas, but you can also leave it like this all winter long. I'd love to know what you guys think of project number one. For this project we are using one of the 7x7 photo frames from Dollar Tree. We're going to remove the image itself so we can use it as a guide because we're using the Dollar Tree Christmas gift bags.
These come in a set of two and have some absolutely beautiful images. I'm going to cut the front of one of the bags and then align it because I know my photo frame is smaller than the actual image so once I have it lined up where I want my design. I'm going to crop it out and replace it back into the photo frame. This is absolutely beautiful, but we're not done with this project yet. You can use one of these pieces of MDF. You can find them at Dollar Tree Family Dollar. In fact, I'm going to use a piece of wood that I already had on hand that is 15 and 1 8 inches long and about two and three-eighths of an inch wide.
Mine was pretty dirty from sitting in my shop so I'm going to give it another coat of white paint and I also need to paint the ends white now once that dries we're going to take our photo frame and we're going to add right in the center and I'm going to I'm going to do this using a little bit of hot glue, just hold it in place so the glue sets and it already comes together and looks so beautiful. Now we're going to grab some micro LED lights from Dollar Tree in cool white, as well as two. of their beautiful bottle brush

s.
I'm going to take the end of the light and go ahead and wrap it around the first

tree

. I'm not going to glue it on or anything like that and I turned on the lights. To make sure I can keep them all lined up in the front when I get to the bottom, I'm just going to fold it so it goes down the back of the bottom of the tree and then I'm going to hold it behind the picture frame to make sure I have enough length and then I can take that light and start at the top of the other tree and work my way down that way I can add each of the bottle brushes on each side and the center of the Strand will go behind our image so once so that I know they're lined up where I want them to be, I can hot glue the trees and then take that battery and place it right behind our picture frame, outside of the Dollar Tree file. signs and remove the hanger and the staples, use some sandpaper to go over it and that will eliminate those holes where the staples were and then I'll give it a coat of white chalk paint.
I'm also going to be using some paint stirrers from a gallon. You can get them in a 10-pack at Lowe's. I cut two of them to five and three quarter inches after sanding them, gave them a coat of white chalk paint and then I'm going to measure about a quarter inch from each end so I can place these paint sticks right on top of my quarter inch. inch. Mark, I'm going to attach that using a little bit of hot glue on both ends and then I'm going to put some antique wax and a dry brush around each of those paint sticks as well as in the center of the sign, so If you don't want yours to get damaged, you can skip this part. brush and going over the center of the sign, then I found these beautiful ornaments from Dollar General for a

a piece, they have this beautiful fabric on the top.
I'm going to cut the hanger and those beads off the top and then I'm going to line them up in the center and once I have my placement ready, I can hot glue each of these together. I will try to keep the same spacing between each letter. This project turned out absolutely beautiful. In this project, I am reusing a DIY. that I made earlier and I'll have a link to that on the cards as well as in the description box if you want to see how I created this, I'll remove the sign and we'll use this gorgeous one.
Dollar Tree ornament is a metal tag sign and is absolutely beautiful. I'm going to remove that tag and then I'm going to use some burlap with some red decorative ribbon to create a very simple little bow and then I'm going to attach it. each of those ends to make sure you can read the entire sign, then we can hot glue it to cover the hole and replace it back on our arch. I'm going to preserve that beautiful vegetation that we created around it. the votive and just added some Berry picks and this project was very simple to update but it is so beautiful and gives you such a sophisticated look for very little money if you want to visit me on my other social media accounts. those links are in the description box below.
I would love for you to come say hi to us on our next project. We are using one of the wall shelves from Dollar Tree. It measures 13.3 by 5.9 and we only need the board that we are also using. a five gallon paint stripper stick from Lowe's, you're going to cut two of these into five and a quarter inches, you just want to make sure it's the width of the boards on each end, we're going to hot glue them together to cover them. up the holes and make it flush to the outside edge and then go over the entire piece with some antique wax and then mix that in so I made sure to get the sides and the back and then we'll take some You'll need two of these Garland bows with wire from Dollar Tree and just twist the ends together and then taking some red Berry Garland from Dollar Tree, we're just going to twist this around the Garland bows until we get to the end and then we'll take one of the candle holders from glass from Dollar Tree and we'll wrap the garland starting at the top and we'll do a pass around it and then we can take that end piece and attach it to the garland tie and then we can continue wrapping this. around until we get to the bottom of the chandelier and then you can attach that bottom piece to itself.
Then I'll use two additional pieces of greenery that came out of a package from Hobby Lobby, as well as one of the pre-made ones from Dollar Tree. -Buffalo plaid bows, they have bows on the back so I'm going to use them to attach the two pieces of greenery end to end and you can stick this on your tray, I'm just going to place it there for now. and then I placed my candlestick right behind it. Now Dollar Tree has these beautiful LED Christmas lanterns. I was lucky to find two white ones and one red one. They are beautiful.
I'm just going to place them on the tray. I'm not going to hit them. down because you want to be able to turn on your flashlights and the button for that is on the bottom, this is absolutely stunning and so beautiful when you turn it on. I love the details on these beautiful lanterns, let me know what you think they would be. It can be a great centerpiece or something to place on your side table for our final project. We're using this winter house scene from Dollar General for three dollars. It has some beautiful trees and houses and is made of MDF with a wood veneer on top.
I'm going to use everything except the base that it comes with now some of the pieces have some uneven and rough edges where all the pieces were cut so I'm going to go between all those slots with some sandpaper to make sure everything is good. and soft and I will make sure to clean everything. I'm going to use a piece of scrap wood. Mine is about 29 inches long and about an inch and a quarter wide, but if you don't have scrap wood, you can use it. some of these MDF pieces from Dollar Tree or Family Dollar and you can just join two of them end to end.
I'm going to go over them all with vintage ripple release wax and then blend them all together, especially making sure to get in all of the openings so everything is a nice, consistent color. I will do that for all the houses, as well as the trees. I'll also use that same wax on the piece of wood and make sure I get all of these sides as well, so once everything has dried I'll take the bigger house and start in the center of my wood by attaching it with some hot glue . I'm going to put it right in the center of not only the long piece but also the width and I'm going to space them out and try to keep them all in a straight line, then I'm going to take some of the micro LED lights from Dollar Tree and I'm going to use a little bit of hot glue just on the wire, not the light itself, and stick them to the back of the sign.
I'm trying to make sure I have a light under each of the windows and if the light doesn't fall, this way I'll bend the wire until itI can run it under the window and then I'll put some hot glue on it. I'll do it all over the back of this sign and when I get to the end. I'll just take out my battery pack and you can rest behind the sign now that it's illuminated. It is absolutely beautiful.Beautiful high end piece that sells online for a lot of money and is not only beautifully lit but also beautiful during the day so if you have a favorite video from today's video let me know in the section comments below.
