. It's a two-month event at DC Comics where they just test out different ideas, potential futures for the DC Universe, but not current continuity, just fun ideas and in the Batman's world of Gotham has disappeared and an individual known as the Magistrate appears to be in charge.

Now a new Batman is in charge of dealing with his own problems. Nightwing is raising a resistance and the Batgirls are searching for Barbara. Those three issues are going to be covered in today's episode, stay until the end to understand how we are organizing our future state coverage and where this takes place in the continuum. Batman jumps from the rooftops and finds an abandoned body on the sidewalk. The wallet is still in the victim's pocket money and ID. This wasn't a robbery, he looks over his shoulder and realizes the magistrate would be here in about two minutes, he doesn't have time for stealth, so the door explodes inward from the charge setting up tables and chairs scattered about.

Inside, he moves quickly kicking the door to the security room and finds the images of two criminals, both wearing hoods and polygonal masks that hide their faces. Batman watches them beat the man to death with a hammer and bat. They have no training, but they are brutal. He holds the phone from him. trying to send images when suddenly the approach of boots is heard over the destruction caused by the magistrate it is early the soldiers clean the room with their weapons but

descends from the shadows of the ceiling he moves in a blur kicking and punching he grabs the weapon he spins and falls hard on another soldier's head, then spins running through the building as the other soldiers recover and open fire on him, the window shattering as he jumps only to be greeted by more soldiers as he lands on the pavement of below.

Batarangs fly from his hands, bouncing uselessly off the soldier's armor. He turns and flees as the soldiers open fire, but pain shoots through his side as a bullet finds flesh. He turns throwing banks of flashes to disorient the pursuers of him, but they keep coming knowing that he hasn't. He escapes from the alley suddenly the headlights come on before they shoot him someone shouts as Batman auroras towards them on his motorcycle he rushes into traffic driving fast down the street swerving to avoid oncoming cars and there Batman growls into the radio da I'm here the voice responds and Batman uploads the photos asking Vol to identify the attackers and the victim.

Peacekeepers are establishing a perimeter. They are serious and are about to shoot when they see it. Vol warns. Batman suddenly looks up and curses when he sees the magistrate drones approaching and following the phone, he hisses, devol slides around a bend and tells vol that he will contact him later, but not on this line, the phone is burned, he snaps as he throws the phone away, so a short time passes and Batman sits silently in a shipping container, six minutes have passed. and the magistrate hasn't found him yet so he thought he had lost them holding his wound knowing that the pads built into the suit prevent him from bleeding out tim fox looks at his helmet how am I supposed to cope? peacekeepers when I can't take the magistrate's foot soldiers, he thinks to himself, puts his helmet back on before looking outside, pulls out another phone, calls a vol and tells his support they have 60 seconds before the magistrate traces the call.

Val explains that there are no flags on the victim and he cannot link the criminals to any known gang. Their bike roars into the night, the Magistrate's drones fly over the city and two hooded criminals move as silently as they can, but suddenly they look up and see Batman standing in front of them, they charge at him, but Batman moves. quickly dodging and hitting one hard in the stomach. the other tries to go around him but he reaches out grabbing the hoodie throwing the person to the ground please don't hurt him the woman screams as she takes off her hood preventing

It seems a lot like all the prisoners They crowd around the windows of their cells calling out to her and the guard smiles when they get to her cell commenting that there is nothing about her in the system, there is no record of your prince, nothing in the facial recognition software , there is no DNA, there is nothing like your new roommate. he comments pushing her to the ground telling her that if she talks he can get her transfer tomorrow there aren't many people here who would love to see you again he tells her he picks her up ordering her to resist but cassandra cain stares at him of all people What I thought I'd see being thrown here are you the last one who has nothing to say to your old friend Stephanie Brown asks as Cassandra turns to look at her she moves fast and her fists attack in a blur making Stephanie's jaw crack she barely blinks He been friends in low places and they won't like you getting cool with me Stephanie tells her she huffs reminding Cass that she's a traitor to Nightwing's cause but she shakes her head reminding Cass. that the government sees them all as masks cassandra looks around the room taking in all the angles and stephanie leans on her bunk informing kane of the floors and ceilings that have been wired for sound if she wants privacy she needs to get her hands on one of the two nullifiers floating around the prison she sits on her bed flipping through her book there are some people who can be very friendly and wouldn't mind being a go-between for the right price, she comments casually cass turns to her, i guess it would be too much to expect a spoiler that someone who has fallen so low would do the right thing.

Cass yells at her and Stephanie just smiles, she asks me for help and finds out what she says, but Cass doesn't think she would do it. Don't betray her, tell me how they catch you and I'll see that nullifier, Spoiler says as he stands up again, but Cass refuses to turn his back on Spoiler, smiling, Mischie Tupe, the

day, Cass moves through the prison population, she talks to the members of the resistance and asks them. If they know where her contact Odysseus is, most believe he is dead, but Jimmy Olsen points out whatever she is under the lonely area and she will have to find a way there on the third day.

Cassandra is picking fights with the other prisoners, but no. gotham glows in the distance as a shadow moves across the rooftop the magistrate's radio chatter warns that they have arrivals and in the alley, the man screams as he tries to protect his wife, but the magistrate robotic soldiers do not listen, one crouches down ignoring the man's protest while grabbing him by the neck when suddenly Nightwing descends from above kicking the robot in the head, spinning and crushing him with his escrima stick, the others move to stop him, there is a drone on his back, but Nightwing turns around and throws his stick, crushing them both and as Nightwing retrieves his weapons, the man thanks him by offering his hand, Nightwing He turns again throwing the stick and breaking the man. in the jaw no, your body language is wrong you are not afraid, you are ready to attack I thought the magistrate was becoming automated I suppose certain cases still require the human touch Nightwing growls from the man struggling to stand his hands glow As he explains that is augmented, he runs towards Nightwing, who easily dodges him and knocks him out with a kick.

Nightwing asks turning to the woman, she smiles pulling out twin knives which Nightwing dodges but the echo of a gunshot fills the alley and a bullet hits his shoulder armor. He stumbles but manages to pull the woman out and throws out a puff of smoke. The sniper magistrate continues to look down from his vantage point but can't see anything. because of the smoke I can't see anything and it's Nightwing, so he's right behind me, he whispers into the radio, he turns to draw his gun, but Nightwing stops with a hard boot, he leans down and asks the soldier how much equipment more specials. the magistrate is looking for him and getting no answer, Nightwing starts walking away, so it's true that you are darker than before.

The Magistrate is trying to put an end to the massive threat and everyone has been relatively successful except Nightwing and his group of terrorists. I wonder if Nightwing still thinks we killed his unkillable mentor,he reflects and finally Marx leaves at zero. One reminds him that victory is mandatory in other parts of the world. City Nightwing walks through the ancient ruins of Arkham Asylum, the building destroyed around him, but he continues forward, eventually passing through a hologram and entering his secret lair. Shortly after, he speaks to his network of agents and explains that his actions have forced a response from the magistrate, prepare yourselves, things have been difficult, they will be difficult, but we too, we are his legacy and we will fight until it is over, until let's win, just like he would have done, he reminds them Batgirl nods on the screen telling Dick about the reports of The new Batman runs around, he nods and tells her that he will investigate it personally and walks away to hit the shadows, but while the Hot water runs over his sore muscles, his eyes open.
