More Interesting Facts About,

is the 2012 macbook pro worth buying it in 2020 reviewing the 13 2012 macbook pro...

It comes with the following specifications: The CPU is a dual-core i5 processor with a base clock speed of 2.5 gigahertz and a maximum frequency of 3.1 gigahertz, the graphics are powered by Intel HD 4000, a GPU, 4 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM with frequency of 1600 megahertz is inside this model I received and a 500 gigabyte hard drive. The first thing I did when I bought this laptop was change both hard drives. and the RAM and I maxed out the RAM to the maximum capacity it could handle i.e. 16 gigabytes of 1600 megahertz ddr3 RAM storage that was included in this laptop needless to say it was a bit slower to help with loading times and general performance I changed the hard drive for a 128 gigabyte solid state drive to use both the operating system and the applications to run the procedure.

It is very easy to change the hard drive for the solid state drive and it only cost me $30 extra for the SSD since I reused the SATA connector that the hard drive used to connect to the logic board instead of getting rid of the extra hard drive, I decided to take out the CD-ROM drive, which was also very easy, just a couple of bolts that you or screws that you have to loosen and use that space to store the old 500 gigabyte hard drive for things like documents or just backup storage which, however, required me to purchase another SATA connector through Amazon, which was just 15 extra bucks to gain another 500 gigabytes of storage on this mid-2012

macbook

pro, next up was those 4 gigabytes of RAM, which really won't be enough in 2020 when it comes to using this laptop for video or photo editing and things like that.

To give it a fighting chance, I decided, as I said before, to upgrade to the maximum capacity this laptop could handle, which was 16 gigabytes at a clock speed of 1600 megahertz. It's like installing Ram on many older Macs, it's easy to swap out the old 4 gigabyte stick. with the new 8 gigabyte RAM drives with the switch to a solid state drive I noticed the boot time was cut almost in half and that was due to the cold boot and then also with the upgrade to RAM I really felt like the responsiveness of running apps browsing the web felt a lot smoother than before the updates and this is one thing I really miss about Apple laptops is the ability to change things if I wanted to without Apple soldering them together and not have no upgrade capabilities on this laptop.
Compared to newer generations of MacBook Pros, it's definitely boxy here and heavier, but the overall aluminum chassis that holds everything together on this laptop feels very sturdy and isn't something I'm going to take points off for. . Oh and did I mention the Apple logo on the back lights up, did I miss seeing that in terms of the keyboard and trackpad? This is another favorite of this generation, the typing experience is amazing to say the least and the backlight is very functional and also practical as it provides enough backlighting or dimming with the corresponding function keys the trackpad works well and supports all gestures Current generation Apple laptops support when running Catallena on the 13-inch mid-2012 model comes standard with a 1280 by 800 Retina display 9 the screen is by no means something to type on Wow , but in terms of viewing angles and quality it works very well and can be dimmed or brightened with the corresponding function keys just like the keyboard.
Remember when Macs used to come with ports and I mean more than four ports of the same type of connection. Yeah, I remember that too, that's something this laptop has that I really missed. You can also find two USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader port, a Firewire port, Thunderbolt 2 or the mini DisplayPort, and a headphone jack on this Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. The thing is, I love all of these different ones. types of ports because they provide more utilization beyond just a Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port connection found on newer or current generations of MacBook laptops and man, I loved having that SD card. slot back is fine so this is all great we have functionality we have the dimming and brightening of the screen and the keyboard the keyboard feels great because the butterfly switches are not there but how does it hold up when try to use it?
This is kind of like a workstation or editing machine when it comes to content creation, that's probably what you're here for. Well, let's talk about that when editing 1080p footage in Final Cut Pro with multiple color grades and effects. I didn't notice too much. There was one difference from when I was editing on my shared 2012 Mac Mini, there was a bit of a lag when scrolling through the timeline with different effects and batches applied, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with some setting changes and timings. export were similar in terms of doing with the average time for a 30 second 1080p clip with lutz and effects taking around two to three minutes editing photos within Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo was also pretty seamless, I didn't really notice anything that will hinder the operation of this laptop.
Used for photo editing, there were no problems applying effects such as color overlays, gradients or blurs to the images and exporting was very easy. Battery life on the Mid-2012 MacBook Pro is not amazing, lasting about two hours from 100% to 0% when using it. However, for more intensive tasks like video or photo editing, I saw an increase in battery efficiency or longevity when just used for basic web browsing or Microsoft Word documents, things like that I saw up to about 3 and a half hours on place Two hours to two and a half hours in the most intensive tasks.
Remember the MagSafe charger that Apple used to use. Yes, this one comes with that and I didn't really miss it because if you trip on the cable, it was safer for Mac to fall out rather than the Type C or Thunderbolt 3 dock chargers that will drag your laptop with it, so this It was also a big plus for me. Is this laptop

worth

it in 2020, since this model is eight years old? I was surprised how well it works. The laptop held its own when it came to editing videos and photos or the most intensive tasks. I know I didn't talk much about performance when it comes to gaming on this laptop and in my opinion no Mac should be used for gaming as it simply doesn't do as well as its window competitors when it comes to experience. gaming, so this laptop will not be the fastest or best performing when it comes to the top of the line laptops out there today, especially from Apple. line, but when it comes to someone who is just starting to create content or a college student or a general student who is on a budget and looking for a laptop that is very reliable and capable of doing some of the things that they want to do, really I recommend it.
This mid-2012 MacBook Pro with prices ranging from three to four hundred dollars, whether through eBay, Macari, Amazon, things like that, is just a viable option for the price-performance ratio that this laptop offers again , all links to everything, anything social or products. used for this MacBook Pro or the MacBook Pro itself that I bought is below the video again, you can find all those links for your convenience, they will always be below the video, but that will be enough for me today.
