Mar 14, 2024
rear? Yeah, I wanted to hang it up, get a little out of it, you know, that's why it's still there. That one's pretty rough anyway yeah but it's cool rough yeah it's cool bro get naughty it's not something anyone would want to have so I'll tell you what replacement I would put this on a

truck

because this is a tailgate rear GMC 4753, that's what Old Farm is still. yes, it is the advanced design, it has a bit of cancer, surely it is not older than that, no, this is definitely 47.53. I don't think so, yes, I'm telling you.
rob van vleet 950 unrestored antique car and truck collection kraupies auction sidney nebraska
That's older than that. Maybe you're right. You know what you're thinking. Now here, tell me if I'm tall or short. I'd give you 100 for this one. Yes, I don't want it. That's fine. It cost me a hundred to go, okay, that's going to go on a candle or are you holding it so that the entrance there I don't know what that's for, with my lights on, it's a Ford entrance, it looks like it goes in four, two barrels. I have to put that up for sale. I don't know what it's for, but it's a completely aluminum entrance.

More Interesting Facts About,

rob van vleet 950 unrestored antique car and truck collection kraupies auction sidney nebraska...

It looks like it runs on four cylinders. Yes, I would especially prefer these doors. It's early. It's like a panel or Suburban. green that rougher Suburban that would go well with that, did you see that one? it's like a 37 GMC yeah that's what these doors do that's cool that door those doors will fit that what's up with these hoods? yeah, definitely, now they're not, they're not going to bring in a lot of money, but the guy who buys the International

truck

on the sale with a crude hood will buy them, yeah, oh, this right here is good too, if you want to get rid of this , I would put it on a sail, yes that is a Thief model, there are the wheels, believe it or not, this could also cost 800 dollars.
rob van vleet 950 unrestored antique car and truck collection kraupies auction sidney nebraska
The old original Ford jackets, the wheel, how about this? Would you sell it to me? um, this is a gift for you, thank you sir, I appreciate you helping me. with serial numbers and then of course not selling it, oh we still have time, yeah look when you came earlier they didn't drill anything into the back doors they were just blank yeah that's why I say it's a 47 now -53 International. I used a Knox bed, but even those older GMS have nothing to do with checkerboard, yes, metal, that's a nox, yes, but that's different because it wasn't like that.
rob van vleet 950 unrestored antique car and truck collection kraupies auction sidney nebraska
I had one of them. I never understood the story, yes. I don't know, foreigner, he even came with some paint, we had a nice one, we'll bring it back to Kansas, yeah, like that, yeah, he just picks up on different things than I do, he's a different set of eyes. I love having them with me and him. It was him, I mean, you know, there was nothing he could do to stop me from getting sick, but he was definitely disappointed that he couldn't make the trip. I had commitments this week, yes, the federal is fine, I just hope, I hope I got it. enough money I like a GMC too, got you.
I just got to one today and Kansas like it had some really good stuff that burned up a long time ago, but the next day it's fine, so here it looks like we have a 55 Buick convertible or six. like a pretty solid car, missing some rust on the floorboards, but a nice looking car, we have Thunderbird here, early '55 model, maybe not like this, looks like a big Kenworth, these were on aluminum frames, they are a great project pretty clean, look at a Heavy Industrial Equipment here foreign, okay, so we have a car from the early 60s, this is a Ford, this is Futura, looks like a little Falcon, uh, convertible, mature convertible, a small car, quite stylish, they are fun with 289 V8 because they were a little that thing is built like a Mustang right here in a '37 Ford truck, but it is extremely crude, not everything here is very, very crude, these are pieces in the Best case scenario but a lot of rot, I mean the grill wasn't even here, really cool truck, I love these trucks. but this one here is a serial project you need a hood you need a grill you need fenders if you're missing a driver's door rear doors your bed boxes there rear fenders running boards it looks like it has a flathead V8 under the hood but those grills come at a premium that it would be difficult to restore a good lawn ornament.
Look, it looks like this is probably a panel truck to start its life with. It looks like it was made by a body shop company. They steamed it right here. Yeah, he did this like a Coach Builder or something, it looks like the whole body has moved too. It looks like this is like a big cap and it comes out of the cow here, but yeah, it's a 306 model, really cool, they have a lot of these here, a lot of these Diamond shirts. I'm going to keep walking because that truck makes a lot of noise. I will do my best to identify them.
I'm good, but I'm not perfect. It will be a dark Brothers Touring Car. It's probably a teenage Dodge Brothers I. Anyway, I'm taking an educated guess based on the DB and the hubcaps, so we've got about mid-60s here, there's like a 64 here, uh, C20 inside. I don't know where I'm going here. A couple of cool signs. Holy hell, look at this. the size of that chain is crazy, it's a chain, you need a pizza, you need a skid loader to move that chain, you have to start by listing Williams, wow, I don't know what engine that type of 3.1 multiport fuel injection is. from the car engine that they have in this thing that's interesting I don't know about that but I know about this this here is a 39 GMC just like the four wheel drive that we have this is really cool this is an old boss apparently this has something history of the film production company.
I got it yesterday on a video on my GoPro. The guy explained what exactly this was and how he came to be here. Let's look at the interior, so it's set up like a small camper. This is great. It has a little cabin in the back It looks like everything here is tied together very well It has a stove and a sink This is actually very well built This is slippery, nice and tall What's in here is like a business plan Yes, probably be a bathroom Oh my gosh, come on, they're actually pretty functional here. This thing looks very solid.
First of all, I think it's a school bus. The engine is fully dressed. This is something I like about the old Cobra sn95. Charge as I have seen it. better call so they have lightning there oh wow here's the sink and I have the cape I don't have to ask him about he said he won't be here until 11. oh looks like we can we can. turn around here a little bit back, a couple back here and then we'll get on the truck, we have a front one here, this looks like it, I'm not an expert on this, but I'm going to guess this one is from the late 70's early 90's. 80 around here. it's really solid and weighs three quarters of a ton four wheel drive 1200.
Really nice solid truck temperature is really amazing here overseas yes it's a 38 Buick. The four door Buick sedan has some extra parts here . The really nice cars have double side supports, that's nice. Cool, not my cup of tea, but a nice foreign car, we've got a lot to talk about for a while, so all this stuff, this big

collection

is going up for a big

auction

, the

auction

will be run by shitty k-r-a-u-p-i-e guys here. In Nebraska, the auction is online only. You can preview it if you want, but know that it will only be online.
It's like eight or 900 lots, maybe a thousand lots, practically all of that as vehicles and it will be carried out. October 27th, so that's it, but I'm here doing a preview. I'm going to buy a lot of things off the sale or try it anyway. I'm just seeing what's happening here. I wanted to see this

collection

in person. I couldn't believe it, so here we have a lot of photos, 230, this is a 48 to 50 Ford school bus, it is very very short, it is very difficult to find this short, any school bus is already difficult to find this foreign short, but it is very difficult to find a backup chain.
Give them a chance. Put me next to them so they're six feet tall. So this is a really very short bus. This is what you want if you're going to make a hot rod with a nice short wheelbase here. We have like a '46 Chevy cab because we're missing two grilled cheeses, which makes this difficult. You know, this is a truck that I would normally be interested in. It is in great condition. The corners of the cabin have good floors or good navigators. It has frames. Everything is original. and it's not all you know, trashed really bad fixing that grill, if you had another grill to donate to the grill bars the rest are very straight and nice, but if you don't have an extra grill you know that could be problematic for you.
I'm not sure if the vans are the same, they look very similar, so you might be able to go ahead and grab two from one van. We have about 40 Chevy conventional front trucks here. gel bar up front half ton big Old Denton and the roof there but it's not a bad truck it's probably a 306 model here Diamond T IP that will be on the other side oh someone put the GMC V8 in this one looks like it should be like a Pontiac 288, that's cool. I mean I had one of these before and someone did this to it.
It's pretty impressive, yes, model 306. In fact, this is really good. This is a GMC 750. This is a cannonball. This is like what. I had, so I had a model 630, this one is even bigger, this is the biggest of the big ones here, this one is huge, uh, model 750, this one should have a Detroit, uh, probably a Detroit two-stroke. I don't want to force this door because we're biting into a cow and it doesn't belong to me, so we'll try the passenger door. This one has a little sort of coffin sleeper. It was obviously a tractor with a fifth wheel plate.
Definitely a great diesel. to see if we can see what engine it has, what this is, Carl says here, some number from the Public Utilities Commission in Denver, Colorado, there are carbs lying on the floor, on the floor, but I would still think it's a diesel, there are some two barrel carbs. Don't know. I think they even came here Zenith Carburetors yeah, no they're not from this truck, but really cool, this had like a big commercial dash in its bunk. Well, defend an opportunity inside. I don't think I'll try. buying this just because it's so big, you know, as far as collecting them goes, there are a lot of collectibles here that are highly sought after, but shipping is a bear thing it's probably 20 24 feet long 20 feet long probably weighs 13 just big and fat. and heavy, you need a serious trailer to move that thing and I had a hell of a time shipping mine at 6 30 when we had the diesel.
I think there's a good YouTube video here that you can watch about that one, we had major issues. with that truck shipped overseas, shipping it overall to the states was difficult, so the fenders aren't all beat up, there's no rot on that thing. I mean, if you're looking for a cannonball for your collection, do you want a solid one? that will probably be the one we have here we have another Cannonball this is definitely a diesel I don't know what model it is this is a bigger model than that yes this is Detroit in this one it has the blower on the side the engine this is another Detroit like that mine had Pioneer since 1905 Pioneer transfer since there is another tractor it looks like this one went out of service because we are missing the transmission here we have this early International conventional front end, it's probably around a 37. this one looks like just a nice green truck, very nice , straight, there is no rod in that one.
The fenders look good. All original wheels. Tires. Everything that is in it. The tilting platform is still on it. That truck shouldn't bring in much money. It's just a pretty one. The old truck has a diamond tee here, you're going into the late 40's early 50's on this B-Line Motor Freight, so it looks like it was a straight Motor Freight beer delivery truck, probably named after the company and then Miller High Life. on the front that's pretty cool, looks like this truck had a couple different jobs over the years, it's just a Walnut Grove manufacturer of some minerals for livestock, so that truck had a long life and lasts at delivering things, so this is really cool, this is another Diamond tea. one here is missing some looks like one side of the hood Akron Truck Line Akron Colorado very cool this is a long wheelbase these make really cool hot rods this one is a little beat up but it has this really sinister look because it has these really short windshields like a 12 inch windshield looks like these trucks, everyone says they look like they are already cut and they really do and they are great trucks, a lot of people are using this to do custom car transports because they have this natural heat. look at the rod from the beginning, you don't really have to do anything, you have another partner, International kb6, which will be late 30's, just a conventional front end work truck, nothing special, you have a half ton short bed, the side The pace looks like a 60, maybe a two. 63.
Chevy, yes, half ton float bed, not bad, a little side view of the step looks like it has some mud in this corner of the cab, this corner of the cab definitely has mud. The bottom of the fenders, the floors are smooth, so this one is not superclean, but still half. It's possible central, let's move this bit real quick because we're here, probably 100 of these are a Ford F1 40 48 to 50. I'm not. You know, I should take the time to learn what the differences are here. Something with the headers. and the stake pockets and something with the hood lip will set your ears apart quickly, but this one here, as far as I'm concerned, is complete, has a cool patina, a little rust on the front, has a radio, probably V8 flat head.
Trucks take a look, yeah, flat head under the hood, no air filter and you can see this carburetor is full of mouse droppings, that's not good, let's see the engine stuck, well it doesn't turn over easily Anyway, I don't like to say it. Also we're stuck, this here is about a 39 or 40 Chevy, maybe 38. I'm not sure I'm not an expert on this from this era, but I know it's around that era, so probably a 38 to 40 Chevy that looks like be half a ton long. The box looks like the original 216 under the hood, a pretty decent six cylinder truck, definitely a project.
The fenders are crushed. The girls are crushed. A piece of the hood is missing. A big old pillow. that truck will bring in a lot of money but it's a good truck it's a desirable truck now this one here is different this one here looks like a lot this one is very desirable you'll never find this truck bed for once this is a diamond t-shirt let's see which one it is the model, we'll be on a label here, so this is an advertising model of beautiful 80's trucks when they're finished with a really short nose. on those nice short fenders, I mean this whole thing is like a little snub nose truck, it looks like it already has the correct bed from the factory, this truck, believe it or not, was obviously in a grass fire at some point in its life burned.
Alright, this truck will still make quite a bit of money. You can't find any of those parts or pieces, so there's a guy out there that we're stocking up on one of those that probably has a curve missing and will have a chance to buy the whole truck. That's why I love these sales. I mean, I can go ahead and buy as many trucks as I want and find homes for them, but we hope they find homes directly at auction for these rarer things, that's what I'm going to do. Try to go ahead and do it in this case, try to find these guys that need these Diamond shirts in those conditions so they can get the parts they need to finish their trucks because it takes a long time, that's all.
You're looking down. a long road of searching for parts when you make one of those here, so we have one of these, this is an Econoline, not sure in a year, I have a 64. This is probably 63 for Econoline, looks like this one is in quite a bit good shape. one is on our shopping list, not bad, this one here doesn't have much of the typical cancer now I have one at home that is absolutely Rock free, so it's hard to compare anything with um, it looks like this one is the same color as Mine at home too because it was originally a navy blue van.
You can see the navy paint is coming through, but my dad really likes them, so he'll probably try to get this one to look like it's missing the front wheel and has some damage to the lower quarter. over here the floor of the bed looks good the steps look good just a couple of dead animals the glove box door is missing here but it's not terrible the dog house is all here it hasn't all been cut or cut they like to move on and rot here The rear window is also missing, but yeah overall a good truck.
This one will be on our list, it's a 306 Diamond T model, just a super solid truck and that will be because this one came out of Wyoming, Wyoming, pretty mild on the paint, probably the best state for sunbathing, we have parts of Wyoming from anyway, Utah too, but this one here, the grill, is nice and has all the trimmings. I looked at this one here pretty closely in the pictures and stuff, and there's nothing missing from that, so that's it. Let's go ahead and be on the move overseas 1600. I had one of those, a little quarter-inch truck. ton, a small Japanese truck, so this is pretty good.
Someone was using this truck as is, it looks like, obviously, diamond tea, right, and then. They cut out the cab and it looks like this is just a high performance farm truck here, just open up Fishbowl South, that's how I feel without tinted windows. I have a couple of international ones here, so this one here is rarer. You need these types of internationals. to compete with cameos and things of that specialty where they had an elegant bed border. I forget what that model is called and here is one and I think it is correct because it has all the top and side decorations so I think this would be an original bed, I don't know if they call it their golden anniversary or something like that, don't roll up in the international stuff, I know enough not to get burned on one, but this is a half ton short bed with four wheel drive, so it's a good truck just like the one next door with four wheel drive short bed half ton a120 actually sorry it's a long bed, the bed next to it has a half ton long bed, old chevy, pretty good conventional front end that appears to be maybe mid to late aughts 30 no, they are like a GMC 65, there is not much interest in those that are diesel, at that time it could be a GMC diesel brand GMC half ton long bed C10, there we will try it.
Move a little faster here, a Dodge, uh, looks like it was a model 200 military truck. Okay, we'll finish this line and let's grab the truck here, so here we have a Rio. Gold Comet, never heard of that before RĂos. They are very good Rio speedwagons, they had that really front end, pretty neat, they did a good job, the trucks have a little one ton Chevy here, a one ton long bed, which is a 3 800, it will be a nine feet, that's on my list too, Brio here, heavy. duty another big work truck Rio Speedwagon another wheel it's cheap like we're stacked on top of us right now this one's on my list uh there's no engine in this box important Rod you know this one isn't super clean it has the right tailgate which is always a plus, got some fruit juice that comes in the box, all the fun, it's a pretty nice truck, this one I like is this little panel truck, here's an international KV series, kind of like a delivery truck, that thing is pretty. cool, I don't know what it was used for, let's see if it says anything on this side, no, I can't make out anything, it almost looks like this is like a prison truck, look what we have in the back, oh, the boaters on The back is a push bumper.
I don't know, you put in what you wanted now, but I'm going to go ahead and say they're prisoners just because it's cool, it's a Ford truck from Colorado, it's obviously going to be on our list, uh, this. It's really cool, so this is a diamond tea, this is a taxi on the school bus model, really, very cute, Big Bus, there is a lot of work to do, let's see the inside of this brush, this thing has bunk beds. Good show inside this. What Betsy says is next to it I don't know what they use this for It looks like it's obviously a kids school bus and then at some point someone turned it into a little camper, it had seats facing each other, little bunk beds in here, nice . maybe people used to camp in the past like we did today, but this was his camper, he was going to live in a truck craze, there's your 1938 Sprinter truck or whatever, he's got a big old boat here , so these are cool, these trucks here, so this is a GMC. model they sometimes call them as general this is a huge truck I mean this thing is huge this is a really big cab with five windows everything in this truck is huge this is a dual tandem tractor of some kind it will have a big old diesel that contains has to make sure you always have the hood closed and the doors relaxed, otherwise it will leak or break them and cause damage as well.
I have a cool Mac there. Diesel, that thing is huge and also a big, big truck, okay, let's go ahead and walk back and take the truck to regroup here and see where we're going to go. To cover a little more ground, we'll probably do a quick little spin in the truck and I'll talk. from the foreign truck a couple of diamond t-shirts here the diamond milk and tea truck was really cool I think they made quite a bit of money off the sale another diamond tea is one of the first there it's like a 201 that's federal or diamond tea There it looks like a little Ford, a Chevy, I don't know what that is at the end, I've never seen a grill like that little cat crawler tractor, uh, yeah, crawler control machine, white cab over the big GMC cab over the international bus, it was really cool, a couple of lcfs 46 cabs a little cannonball, probably like a GMC 630 or something, a 41 cab over a couple of Fords there.
I bought that tan one next to that thing that looks like a Big Mac. A couple of cars. All of these things made very, very good money at the auction. A couple of large farms. trucks, grain trucks, a couple of big trucks, big Peterbilts and Kenworths, those really ran very well at their best. All those tractors made really good money, like crazy money, like 14 15 grand a piece. I could not believe it. It was before the bonus that I said a The project did very well, International Pickup did very well and so did the explorer. I don't know what those things did.
He wasn't paying too much attention to the auction results. I was really excited about the Diamond T Cab overs at first, but I ended up not bidding on any of them because they were missing too many parts that you simply can't get. They didn't actually make that much money because of all the missing parts that simply can't be found. that taxi over there cost me 4500 the taxi about the taxi I really thought I would get it for like 1500. um that taxi over there I thought I would pay three thousand dollars for it I raised it to 5500 six thousand dollars I had to get out of That international taxi it seemed to me five thousand.
I sold one earlier this year. I think it was still five or six thousand and here I am grabbing a tailgate because Rob said he would sell me a tailgate since I drove there, that one I was actually just previewing and hoping I could take off some Smalls that were. I wasn't going to put it up for auction, he wasn't really interested in it, but he sold me that tailgate that I'm pretty sure I still have. Rusty is on one end for being in that bathtub that contained water, beautiful sky that day. and there are those ammo bunkers in the background, there's a World War II obviously built by the government and there's an old railroad line and they don't seem to know much history, but it seems like the bombs used to come on their own. obviously by train and then they would unload them into these little administrative buildings where I guess they would count them or do whatever paperwork they had to do and then they would transport them on trucks to these bunkers and they're concrete domes that Obviously, you know, they have some sort of classification. explosive If there was an accident you wouldn't know it would be contained and they are really cool, they stay at 55 degrees the entire time they are buried in the ground.
Obviously the inside is jet black, you need a lot of light in there, but it's about a 50 foot diameter circle inside all concrete. Another international taxi on top. I couldn't reveal the one I had, but those two did. probably 12 grand between the two of them, that little half ton short bed Chevy made some super big money at like 7,500. The one next to it made some pretty big money, that Ford made some really big money. I wanted that with all my might, I couldn't get it. They put fenders and wheels on Chevy to make it run a little better.
I don't know what the big military tractors did. I'm not sure those things are great, although when we were here there was plenty to do. Look at you, you might not even have to spend days there, which I wish I had done, but hindsight is 2020. Now I know that the next time we go to such a large collection we will definitely need to have more time. Um, you just know I thought I had enough time. We booked about a day and a half and, um, it wasn't nearly enough time. We spent a whole day there. The second day we arrived in the afternoon or evening. the day before I kind of made a plan for the next day I spent the whole day um the next day I still didn't see everything and it's very easy to get lost we were getting lost all day everything looks the same and uh very few landmarks I had to remember really what vehicles were, where, even with the Drone, you know you couldn't find the ARC van that we were driving in, but really cool stuff, some junk in there, but you know, for the most part, it all had value.
The Chevy truck with that exhaust coming out the hood or the fender was pretty cool, it had a lot of big stuff in there that one.truck in the end it was cool that yellow that little cow front and the front fenders made me sick, I liked that 3700 dollars online, only worth about 800, the 54 cab had nasty rust on the Rockers, was still worth like six thousand dollars, that little black and tan GMC. Sorry, the orange and black GMC made a lot of money overseas, that white Chevy with a Bondo cube still liked 2500. I think a couple of cab parts and stuff were pretty tough.
I looked at it when we were there in person. I didn't bid on anything, it was just too much, it's too high, there are a lot of problems with taxis with a lot of things out here, it seemed like a lot of damage to the roof, like they were children, they told us that they had a lot of problems there in this place with things damaged or stolen, it's such a remote area, I mean honestly, if the owners were there, it's so big and so vast that you could be there, they wouldn't know you're there, they'd have no idea, even if you were driving a vehicle, you probably wouldn't be they would see So, yeah, there was a lot of roof damage, it looked like there were people jumping from roof to roof or something and then the taxis that I really liked ended up having some roof damage when it was, you know, for real.
I studied those photos and walked away from that '54 Chevy truck in one fell swoop, it was really cool. I tried to buy it, but I couldn't get it now. A lot of stuff that I guess they had sold pieces of over the years. This was like a 25 year old collection they put together from various sales and auctions of farms and cleaning stuff, you know they have a junkyard here so yeah I need to try to buy this before the sale because it's worth a lot more and they ship easily 302 relatively rock free, needs two rockers, but the rest looks good, the quarters are nice, yes, yes, we're going to bother you with this here.
I'm getting ready to start shooting, it's as automotive as it is in here, although I'm imagining this. this wasn't built this way this is the roof of a car so this is the cabin of Willy's Jeep is what it is this is a Willy type Suburban that they put on top of this boat yeah, Willie's Overland right there that's it what is this. I started putting it together real quick here, obviously you've got door handles, window cranks, window frames, someone put Willy's Jeep body on top of this boat, that's exactly what I knew. I recognized that interior, okay, so now that I'm looking at it like that, we did a great job, honestly, it's really nice the way they did it, they used the whole jeep and just widened it to get to the sides of the boat, yeah, must always have been outboard. power I don't know that's bad that it's in that auction hey, I could buy all the glasses.
I know this because it's just the hood of a jeep. I mean those handles are there, that boat, probably how many handles are there one twenty. the guys are lifting that boat, especially if that was something military, you have 10 guys on each side, that boat is lifting off the ground, okay, we're almost done here, we filmed everything we can film, I'm sure we're going to put together an amazing video, it can be a little confusing, the best thing you can do is visit the online crappie auction site, look at the sale catalog and you will be able to see everything in an organized way when you are here, it's crazy. the Drone or whatever looking down is fine when you're in it you have no idea where you are everything looks the same we were lost most of the morning just filming everything it would be, it could be here in the app about each of these trucks for a week, we don't have that kind of time, so we're going to go over some of the highlights here that are really amazing, some of the ones I'm going to be bidding on to show you guys what they have here, so let's start here, let's start with this old Diamond T or Rio fire truck, sorry, it's a Rio, so here we have a look like the sun.
Fire Protection District. Rio Gold Comet District. this is the second golden comet here, this fire truck looks like it's totally complete, this thing looks like it will run and drive and the flashes and screams are still on it. Here we have a Diamond T 306 model wrecker, it looks like it is still in use hauling. an old car and this is the one that I think runs and drives because it's quite nice, new upholstered seat, a key that hangs in the ignition indicator, looks like it works, original six cylinder, Flathead, I don't know what this is, this it's some kind of air powered mobile ski it looks incomplete I have a couple of old cars here we'll show you this so you have a Corvair truck this one has the side door it's cool it's your rear engine truck here we have a little Buick eight four sedan doors uh, Ford four-door sedan, it's a 48, maybe 46, 47. uh, Chevy four-door, sorry, I said two-door, it's like a Business Coupe, this car should sell well here, yeah, Four-door Chevrolet Chevy and then this.
So this is a diamond T Suicide door Diamond t-shirt This thing here obviously very difficult This was a Sea Drums whiskey truck I think this came out of Canada It's super difficult but apparently it's just one of a kind I have part of the story on that from him guy who owns all this, but someone is going to go ahead and restore it, probably make it look like a future ocean liner or something. I can bid on these, they are really rare. So this is called Canopy Express, this was a factory built by GM, but it has a farmers fruit stand truck, you would have all your produce crepes and stuff here and this is what a roadside stand truck is, so they kind of looked like, it was like a one ton panel and then they used one side of the bed of the truck and then this would have had all canvas falling onto the two-seater wood floor.
I mean, this was like a really cool commercial truck, you don't see many of these, they made them on all of them too. the different configurations half ton, three quarter ton or one ton, this is the most functional if someone would like to go ahead and do something like that or use this for a commercial truck today. I think a ton of long wheelbase would be the most functional. one in particular is in excellent condition rust wise, this Dodge Brothers picked up a super nice one, it's like three quarters of a ton or a ton. I think it's probably a one ton truck, really nice, all original Dodge Brothers sheet metal, really cool truck. it's what I call a toner it's a one ton Studebaker from the mid 30's to late 30's early 40's they call it a sad face it looks like it has a mustache or something on a Ford truck that's drowning early International just an old farm work truck this is a nice truck it's like a 37 International Wheels it may be in the box but it's a nice complete all original truck the yellow one is even better it has really great original paint this Chevy is really cool, just an old grain truck, this big diamond tea is a big diesel in this one, probably a big Detroit here okay so my personal favorites are about to come out so this is just a cool old wrecker, another Diamond t306, but what I'm really looking for is to get back here, so two out of four total.
I love these trucks. I'm going to hunt them hard, unfortunately they're not that clean. This one here needs a roof covering. The roof can't be repaired, it's really bad. I mean, it can be repaired, right? But is not. I wouldn't use it. Like that, but that way it has a big wrinkle. I would peel that roof and then this one here has roof damage. I think this one can be saved and used. This one has problems in the corners of the cabin, but both have Flathead V8 engines. Before this, they were still really cool trucks, dog houses, they were missing a seat, they were missing a glove box door that had the VIN number on it, that could be problematic, but yeah, we'll get into all that kind of stuff, but this is Part of the reason I drove here is to see those two in person.
I love this truck so we have three oval grills of our own right now so 55 56 GMC a hydraulic V8 it will have like a Pontiac 346 engine yeah Pontiac 288 or 346. V8 this would be a good truck with parts for someone, you can use the chrome fronts and cabin. I doubt anyone will use it like that, but I've seen people build some pretty cool trucks like that, so who knows, so here we go. a very good truck there is a fast delivery Rio. I'm having a hard time understanding what this truck is because it appears to have half ton axles underneath, maybe it was a half ton platform which is not the correct platform because I have seen one. of these Rio trucks in a Rio truck, they are the three rarest trucks, I had a really nice bet.
It had a regular truck, nice bad fenders, it's kind of a farm rig, but this one seems to be a half-ton truck, kind of unknown. I'm not an expert on this, I just know I don't see many of them with half ton rigs, so here's another Diamond T truck that has a correct platform, so this is an unfinished project. They're going to have a bunch of uh like extra trim grills and stuff so they're taking that stuff out, but that's right, that box step, that kind of deal, so that about sums it up for us guys.
